Eleven From Memory includes over 200 memories from eleven contributors, all friends of the editor. These are memories that before now were recounted only to family and friends, if at all. And of all the memories included only a few are before age four, and a few are after sixty. These are lifetime memories of pain, love, wonder, regret, betrayal, romance, sex and travel. And all are true. These are the memories as they are remembered. The contributors worked in blocks of years, recording memories that stood out, toddler to 5th grade, 6th to 9th grades, etceteras, up to the near present. The writing began soon after, combing through all those memories and placing them into self-selected categories. Otherwise, there were no other restrictions or requirements for the 200+ memories that were chosen.
