Chief Bear:

Scarlett Grove has done such an amazing job. I can already tell this is going to be a really good series. There are some really hot bear shifter in this book.

Levi Blackthorn was this sexy bear shifter. He and his bear desired a mate. Levi was this great guy. He was the alpha of the “Bear Rescue” which was a group of bear shifters that done a search and rescue of hikers that had gone lost. Levi also was owner of the Fate Mountain Lodge.

I always love reading stories were they have shifter dating apps. I always find that so interesting. Corey who was the data analyst and computer technician of the crew had designed a this shifter app. Levi took the leap to give it a try. To his surprise he got a quick response from a human woman right off. They were a 100% match.

Juliet Hernandez was a woman that probably thought she was weak. I think she was stronger and braver then she really knew. Being a curvy woman there can been so much verbal abuse that one suffers. Sometimes men like to use that to tear down their self-esteem so they can control them. This is the situation that Juliet found herself in with her previous boyfriends. She need a man that would complement her, that would let her know how beautiful she truly is, and one that truly cared for her as a person.

I think it was very brave that Juliet adventured out and went on a shifter dating site. Reading this story you will see that she has a lot of courage. She found a 100% match right off the spot. It is not long before she will come face to face with this sexy bear shifter.

I so love how Levi is with Juliet. He is so considerate of her feelings. Even though he has had a bad experience in the past with a human female relationship he jumps in with this one. When he first scented her he knew she was his mate.

This is such a heartfelt story and Juliet will find that she has found her dream man and does not want to let him go. Once you start reading this book you will not want to put it down.

Wild Bear:

The first book I loved Levi and Juliet. It did surprise me that the second book was about Chef Shane Keenan, but it was good to see. Don’t worry if you have not read book one because this will do find as a standalone.

Shane Keenan AKA Wild Bear was just that. He could not control his bear, his bear was broken. He feared of letting anyone get to close to him in fear of one day this bear hurting someone. Shane’s life seemed to becoming together in a way. Here he was back with his old Navy Seal Team. The alpha owned a lodge called Fate Mountain Lodge and allowed him to work as chief there. He was also allowed to work on the search and rescue team as well.

Lily Mason and Shane Keenan were perfect for each other. Both had suffered a bad home life growing up. Shane had knew she was his fated mate when they were young. Due to punches life throws at you they went their separate ways. So I guess it was surprising when they both joined the dating app and found they were a match.

Lily had it hard the last time Shane left. Finding herself pregnant with a shifter baby had to be hard. She could teach her son Theo about the human side but could not teach him about the shifter side of him. She done her best to protect him from the cruel world.

I can not imagine what it was like for Shane to find out that he had a son. Truthfully he could not blame Lily not after how he left things. I do like that fact he stepped up to the plate and wanting nothing more then to help provided for his son. Shane had a lot of fear inside him. Not only did he have to worry now about hurting Lily but Theo as well.

I just loved little Theo. He was so full of life and so smart. Theo only wanted one thing and that was to get to know his father. He was to young to understand the adult complications that his mom and dad were going through. One thing you can say about Theo is one determined kid.

Shane and Lily will have a lot to work out. There will be healing and change. This is such a great series

Big Bear:

This has been such an amazing series and look forward to seeing what the next book has in store. Though this is not the first book in the series I think it will be find as a standalone. Trust me when I say you will want to go back and read the others as well for they are just that good.

Angus Grant is finally going to get a chance for love. He has been hoping each time he logs into the dating site that he would find a 100% match but has had no luck yet. He has tried to date a few women that were not his perfect match but things did not go well.

Poppy Robins works as a bookkeeper for an imports/exports company in Seattle. Poppy has felt something is not right with what is going on with her bosses Ivor and Boris Chekov. Numbers are not adding up and now she finds she is being threaten by Ivor. After finding joining a shifter dating site and finding a 100% match she decides it is time for a mini vacation and head for Fate Mountain, Oregon.

I loved how excited Angus was to finally being able to meet his mate. Him and his bear are just over joyed. She is everything he could of hoped for.

In this book you will see the planning and the joining of Levi and Juliet. My heart still breaks for Drew. I am so looking forward in the upcoming series for Drew’s story.

I got a good laugh at Poppy’s parrot Malcolm. He was so funny. I loved how Poppy when it came to Malcom’s true happiness put his needs first.

Of course you need a little danger and that is what Poppy finds herself in. It is life and death and Angus must do everything in him to save her before it is too late.

This was such a great story and look forward to upcoming stories.

Brew Bear:

I am so in love with this series. Ever since I read book one I have been waiting for Drew and Quinn’s story. Don’t worry if you have not read any of the books in the series because this is a standalone. I love how she started from the beginning of Drew and Quinn’s story. Gives you more insight on these two.

I had mixed feeling when I read that Quinn was expecting. At first I was so disappointed in her for keeping secret so long from Drew. I felt that Drew had missed out on so much, but as I read a little more of Quinn’s story you got to understand her a little more and know why she acted the way she did.

Drew was so heartbroken. He was barely keeping his head above water due to grieving so bad. There is nothing worse then to have a mate to reject you and that is what Quinn did to Drew. It seemed that Drew’s friends brought it up as much as they could and it was like rubbing salt in his wounds. I can not imagine that pain he must of felt to see his friends that were mated being so happy with their mates. So reading what he went through I can understand why he was such a depressed and grumpy bear.

Quinn was desperate. She was expecting and was struggling. I think it was great that she decided to go back to Drew instead of going home to her parents. The shock that Drew must of felt. Quinn realizes that the mate bond between her and Drew is stronger then ever. There is no way Drew can hide what he is feeling because Quinn can feel ever pain.

Quinn and Drew have a lot to work out. I really enjoyed this story and was glad to see how it ended. I am so looking forward to the next story and wondering who the next victim of the dating app will be..LOL

Ski Bear:

This has been a great series. It is really good to see a book come out for Ski Bear. Don’t worry if you have not read any of the previous books in the series for this book is a standalone.

Zach Rayner aka Ski Bear has been an interesting character. Not only does he love Skiing, He has been in the military, is on the rescue crew, and has been a stripper. Zach is working hard to change his appearance. He wanted to find his fated mate and he wants to be taken seriously. He could not understand why the dating app was not working for him. You almost felt sorry for him. This was really working on his mind.

I found it so interesting when Maisie Green was introduced, maybe because of who her other was. She was not a strange to Fate Mountain. She had lived there before. Now back from Paris she had plan opening up her own bakery shop. Her mother was happy to see her and wanted her to join the shifter dating app.

Maisie truly needed to slow down in life. She had one thing on her mind and that was getting her business off the ground. She truly forgot what it was like to live and have fun. I love the fact that Zach took in consideration that he needed to take it slow with Maisie. He did not want to rush her even if she begged.

Maisie and Zach were so different. Zach was athletic were Maisie was not. Both was worried about being themselves. They were scared the other would get bored. They will have to learn to relax and be themselves.

This was a great love story and well worth a read.

Geek Bear:

If you have been reading any of the books from this series then like me you probably have been waiting for a story on Geek Bear aka Corey Bright to come out. Only seems fitting for him to find a mate since he is the one to invent the mate.com app.

Willow Rhine was a ghostwriter. She loved her work but lately it did not seem as fulfilling as it should. She had a lot going on in her life. Here she was with writers block and a stalker that the police would not do anything about. She was lonely and desired to have a guy in her life even though she was not certain how she would fit it all in. When she got a message from the dating app that she had found her fated mate she thought seriously on the matter.

I love that the Rescue Bears were like family. Everyone had found their mate but Corey and he was feeling alone. This did not go unnoticed with his crew. Though he claimed he did not want a mate I believe it was fear that was driving him to those thoughts. I love how his friends stepped in and took charge of the situation.

The mating pull is strong and no matter how much you fight it the bear desires its mates. This left Corey confused and doing the one thing he did not want and that was hurting Willow time and time again.

As I said earlier in this review Willow had a stalker. Things will become very dangerous and things will escalate out of hand. Will Corey be able to find her before it is to late? Will Willow be able to forgive Corey for all the hurt he has caused her?

Such a great story. It truly was awesome to read about Mr. Geek Bear himself.

CHIEF BEAR
☆☆☆☆
This novella is about Juliet and Levi aka Chief Bear.

Levi makes a profile on mate dot com. Here is where he is matched to Juliet. Levi owns a lodge on Fate Mountain and Juliet's friend is getting married. The wedding venue is actually at the Lodge so this forces the two to meet sooner than planned. Once they meet it is an instant attraction. Will the bond be enough to mate for life?

Extremely sweet and passionate. Juliet and Levi are both likeable characters and their bond together is cute. I enjoyed reading about the couple and learning more about the Fate Mountain pack. This is a great start to a series that looks promising.

WILD BEAR
☆☆☆☆
This novella is about Lily and Shane aka Wild Bear.

Shane gets a visit from a blast from a past that has a huge secret. Lily never wanted to see Shane again but now he knows her secret she has a hard time moving on. Shane then jumps into a rescue that just might keep Lily around.

I loved this one. I was worried about Shane's story just because he is a loose cannon. However, we learn so much about him and I loved that he was able to connect with his bear to make it safe around others. This one also had some action involved so that was a plus for me.

BIG BEAR
☆☆☆☆
This novel is about Poppy and Angus aka Big Bear.

Poppy and Angus are matched on the infamous dating website for shifters. Poppy needs a way out of town because her gut tells her that she is working for bad people. When she arrives at Fate Mountain there is a connection to Angus. However, Poppy suddenly goes missing. She's been kidnapped by Russians and needs Angus to save the day.

I throughly enjoyed this one! Drama and action is a huge plus for me and this one had both. Plus having a shifter that is extremely sweet and romantic is a bonus. I also loved the little birdies too.

BREW BEAR
☆☆☆
This novella is about Quinn and Drew aka Brew Bear.

Quinn meets Drew in novella 1 of this series. She signed up for mate dot com and she is matched to Drew. She has a great connection. He marks her and she panics because of her feelings and plus she grew up in an antishifter house. Quinn runs away and hides for 9 months. Money is running thin and she needs to tell Drew a secret. Will Drew listen to her?

I was extremely excited to finally get Quinn and Drew's story. However, I was disappointed in it. Quinn is so selfish and does not deserve Drew at all. I get her feelings were off but still to hide from everyone and only come back because you ran out of money. Err! I am happy for Drew in the end because he is happy.

SKI BEAR
☆☆☆☆
This is novella is about Maisie and Zach aka Ski Bear.

Zach meet new pastry chef Maisie who just moved back into town from Paris. She is the daughter of the receptionist at Fate Mountain Lodge. Zach has an immediate connection and he doesn't understand why. Maisie joined mate dot com where she learns they are fated matches. They try to take things slow but when Maisie ends up in trouble they finally give in and go for it all.

Zach is such a sweetheart that deserves Maisie. He trys so much to impress her and to understand her. Maisie is very loveable and makes sure she understands everything about the bonds of shifters ro humans. Overall, this one was super sweet.

GEEK BEAR
☆☆☆
This novella is about Willow and Corey aka Geek Bear.

Willow meets Corey on mate dot com. Or so she thinks. Willow is a romance author and signed up for the website for research. Once she finds out she has a fated mate she agrees to go to Fate Mountain to meet Corey. Corey has no clue that his crew set him up. He never knew about Willow or that the crew signed him up on the website. Corey doesnt want to hurt Willow so he makes it clear he doesn't want anything to do with her. That is until she is kidnapped. Now he wants her and nothing else.

This one was alright. Corey never drew my attention in the other novellas. He's really boring. Willow was great though and I'm glad they get their happily ever after.

I also loved the ending with the whole crew and their families that get together. One big happy family!

☆☆☆☆
The overall series was great. I really enjoyed it and look forward to the other shifter series.

3.5 stars. Love box sets for easy rereading.
RESCUE BEARS
1 - CHIEF BEAR
A lovely new shifter to group to meet and fall in love with.
What an interesting group we are meeting.
Levi seems so lovable, he is alpha bear but without the posturing. He commands quietly and fairly.
Juliet was his complete contrast. I found her wishy washy and unkind in her behaviour/attitude to Levi, she was so hot and cold, until I thought about it and realized
A- she had little knowledge of shifters
B- she has been emotionally abused for the last 3 years
C- everything happened in 48 hrs.
So I cut her some slack and realised I liked her. She started to take control of her life towards the end but she still needs to grow more which I think she will do.
I cannot wait for the next book.
Duke and Quinn really need a HEA, her family dynamics will make it interesting
and I so want to meet the female who takes on Shane. Hope she is really feisty and an equal if not better cook than him. Can you imagine. LOL
I dislike the speciest attitude but unfortunately mankind is often not the greatest, how the word humanity pertains to us I cannot figure out.
2 - WILD BEAR
I was so excited when I realised this was Shane’s story.
Two people with horrible childhoods that had formed a close supporting attachment/friendship, but then Shane went and screwed it up.
I loved where this book came from and went, what a shock that he knew his fated mate. I did not see this storyline at all for Shane and I have to say it suited him to a T. It was lovely to find out more about him and his past. If he had mated Lily all those years ago he may not have had all the crisis that he went through with his bear. Typical male.
I think his resolution of the problems with his bear was just a bit too quick and needed more time to be talked through or explained. His relationship with his bear was very difficult as I do not think he trusted his bear.
Lily was a real survivor but her thinking seemed to be going from one direction to the next, understandable in some ways but I think she went wrong a couple of times before coming back to where she needed to be. She did not come across as a strong character even with everything she had been through but I get the feeling she was just so beaten down with her life. Her only bright spot was her son.
Theo was a cutie. I could just see him escaping all those grown bears. Clever little boy.
This is a 4star story but I can only give 3½ stars due to the jumpy writing style which impaired my reading enjoyment and the way it did not flow cohesively like they normally do. The dialogue between Shane and Lily felt like it was missing words and thoughts.
This is a pity as it was a great 2nd instalment to this series. This will not stop me from getting the next book though.
3 - BIG BEAR
I just love these bears.
In this third book we have Big Bear Angus, the second in command but also the quiet one who mediates problems before using his bigger size to sort any problems out.
Then we have Poppy, a shy nerdy bookworm accountant with her brightly coloured parrot who is her only real friend. Poppy has been unknowingly working for Russian baddies for the last 3 years.
When she is subtly threatened at work one night she decides to follow up on her fated mate she found on Corey’s dating app.
What follows is a cute story of two people getting to know each other amidst last minute wedding preparations for the alpha pair, being kidnapped and a parrot loose in the wedding venue.
Angus is a sweetie and you cannot help but love him. We meet all the rescue bears once again and feel sad at Brew Bear Drew’s decline due to his runaway mate. Boy does Quinn have some serious grovelling to do when she comes back.
Cannot wait to see who is next to have their HEA.
4 - BREW BEAR
Did not like Quinn. 3 stars due to her.
Well I have read the other reviews and I cannot agree. I’m sorry but I find nothing redeemable about Quinn. I understand about her parents but really, she was a grown ass woman in a powerful career. She didn’t get there by being and idiot.
She asks Drew to mate her, runs away and hides for 9 months (even when she finds out she is pregnant) pretending to herself Drew used sex magic on her, totally confusing her so she has an excuse to hide. Then she only comes back when she is 9 months pregnant, destitute and worrying about losing her condo that she is not even living in. It is all about her and what she wants. Quinn is a whiny brat. She is given a cabin to live in free then says it is not 5 star, I can't stay here.
She came across as a money grubbing parasite to me. She was rude to everyone (Lily in the diner) and had a poor me attitude, everyone should feel sorry/be nice to her as she is pregnant. Then because she wants it to be so, Drew should forgive her and let her live with him. Because she has realised she was wrong and said sorry that is the end of it. Everyone should forgive her. She was not repentant enough to deserve Drew. He and his bear deserved better.
Drew has been in complete hell, he did not want to mark her, he tried to say they needed time to get to know each other but Quinn pushed and pushed him to mark and mate her. He goes from being on top of the world to the pits of hell in one night. For 9 months he has had to cope on his own knowing his mate left him because he is a shifter. Talk about giving someone a personality complex and heartbreak.
While I really, really wanted Drew to have his happy ever after and was so pleased he has his son, I really feel Quinn was let off by everyone way too easily. Even her best friend Juliet let her off lightly, even though Quinn was a bridesmaid and did a runner on the day of Juliet’s wedding. Drew deserved better.
I can only hope Quinn can redeem herself in future books.
It was lovely to meet up with the Rescue Bears and their mates again.
5 - SKI BEAR
A good value read.
Zach is the light-hearted fun one of the rescue bears. Even though he was a SEAL with the rest of the guys in the war, he has managed to maintain a bright outlook on life. He wants to find his mate and is slightly jealous of the others but he thinks he has to grow up and change for this to happen.
Maisie grew up in Fate Mountain but knew very little about shifters, she admits this was by her own choice. She has lived in Paris the last few years as one of the top Pastry chefs in Europe. Her mum asks her to come home to be nearer to her and Maisie thinks it is the right time to open her own bakery.
Maisie and Zach pass in the car park and both take a second look at the other.
When Maisie joins mate.com and is matched with Zach he is so happy but Maisie is not too sure as she has just opened her bakery and has little time to spare. Zach then seconds guesses himself as to whether he is good enough for Maisie.
Fated mates are drawn to each other and Maisie finds herself going out with Zach. She then makes a stupid decision to go skiing on her own to try and hold her own with Zach who is a professional skier. She has never been on skies in her life. Needless to say she then needs the Rescue Bears to save her.
Maisie and Zack make a nice couple, they just need to accept themselves as they are.
6 - GEEK BEAR
Another enjoyable read and very sorry to see the end of the Rescue Bears.
I have loved all of these guys even when I thought they were idiot Alpha males.
MS Grove has a writing style all her own, sometimes I feel like it is too jumpy but the stories are always readable and enjoyable and to me that is what a book should be.
Willow was a sweetie. Wonder if she was channelling an author we know, hm??
I loved how the book she was writing mirrored this story, very clever.
Well, Geek bear messed it all up as we knew he would but he redeemed himself, what a place he built. WOW. Helping all those shifters.
Will Zoe get her own book and what is she doing?????
This can be read as a standalone but reading the series first makes it more enjoyable.

Title: Rescue Bears Box Set
Series: Rescue Bears

Reviewer: Ingrid Stephanie Jordan
Genre: #PRN#BearShifters
My Score:   #5Stars☆☆☆☆☆

Chief Bear
Series: Rescue Bears  Book#1
Woo-hoo Ms. Grove has written an amazing story. I've read several dating apps and they're all very good but this one has a twist, I really enjoy it because these guys are Ex Navy Seals that have formed a rescue crew for the Fate Mountain Lodge in the Fate Mountains. I think I'm going to learn how to ski and accidentally get lost so a Rescue Bear can come and Rescue Me.
Levi Blackthorn is Chief Bear and a shifter, a regular hottie who owns the Fate Mountain Lodge. Corey is his computer expert developed a Dating App that he said was
100% solid. Levi is tired of being alone so he thought why not try the dating app maybe he'll find his fated mate, looking through a lot of the curvy women that are human he didn't see anything but then all of a sudden there was his 100%, he couldn't believe his eyes.
Juliet Fernandez loved her position being a graphic designer but she hated her boss, he picked on her constantly. But when she reported him his boss said to sucked it up or find a new job. Saying there's a hundred Julie's waiting to work. So needless to say she grinned a bared it. Juliet just wanted to be loved, has she found it?

 Title:  WILD BEAR
Series: Rescue Bears Book#2
Wow this is turning out to be a great series, I thought Book One was good with Chief and Juliet but Ms. Grove's characters were two abused kids that befriended each other in high-school making each other strong to carry on, to survive. Tragic at first but uplifting as they both conquer there fears. Chef Shane Keenan aka: Wild Bear is a Grizzly Bear Shifter, Ex Navy Seal, a Master Chef and if that not enough he is on the Bear Rescue Team. His Alpha Chief Bear aka: Levi didn't really want to hire him because Shane's couldn’t control his Bear and you never knew when he would take over there were humans at Fate Mountain Lodge. Shane decided to prove that the Match Dating App wouldn't work because he had a secret..... He already knew his fated mate.
Lily Mason is a human, working as a waitress in a greasy spoon diner. She moved back to Fate Mountain, so her 5 year old hybrid shifter son, Theo so he would grow up around shifters. After years of knowing Theo's dad, there first and only night together, she woke up alone, he was gone and never came back. Lily was heart broken especially since he told her she was his fated mate.

Title:  Big Bear
Series: Rescue Bears. Book#3
Woo-hoo not even 5 minutes into the chapter and I  was hooked, no lie, I couldn't believe OMG this poor girl yeah this is really going to be good this whole series is Scarlett really knows how to get you with her writings.
Poppy Robins is an accountant/book keeper working for a Russian import-exports company through the year she felt like something was going on but she really wasn't sure plus she couldn't prove it, so she believed her boss, an let it go. Poppy needed to go out she was lonely, never going anywhere it was just her and Malcolm, her parrot. When she saw the app called Mate.com. While signing up Poppy over heard her boss talking she knew she had to leave, grabbing her purse, keys her boss's son grabs her than threatens her. Poppy went home and decided was time to leave so she packed and got Malcolm. Beep Beep her phone rang Mate.com found her 100% mate !!!
Angus Grant aka Big Bear is a Grizzly Bear on top of he's a famous wood furniture  maker and also part of the Rescue Bears his life was full with all his Ex Navy Seals that was the rescue crew for the Fate Mountain Lodge in the Fate Mountains. All he was missing is that he hadn't found his mate.
Title: Brew Bear
Series: Rescue Bears Book #4
I can't say enough about this book, the series they are all just fantastic, stupendous, phenomenal need it say more. Ms. Scarlett held this book back so everyone that knew that Brew Bear's Mate left him in the very beginning of this series, She knows were all chomping at the bits for Quinn and Drew's Story. What a story it is too.
Drew Bock owned The Fate Mountain Brewery, making his own brew, loving every minute of it. Brew Bear also was part of the Rescue Bears Team. Lately though he felt like a lost crazy Bear, nothing is sacred anymore.
Quinn Jacobs works for PR executive in Portland. Not only was she very talented she was very successful, but then she went to her friend's wedding and something happened one night, everything changed her life. The pull was unbearable she had to have, she begged and she got marked.

 Title:  Ski Bear
Series: Rescue Bears.  Book #5
And so we have another gangbuster I swear to God this is the best series that Ms. Scarlett  has ever written. I was really looking forward to Zach I just knew it was going to be good because he was the one that was so outgoing and did everything he was a male stripper and what else I mean this man did everything.
I recommend this book Ms. Scarlett has written many phenomenal series, with characters to match each other and the Rescue Bears is just one you need to read.
OMG!!! I can't wait for Corey's story.
Zach Rayner is a Polar Bear Ski Instructor who grew up in San Diego happy, great attitude and surfed, skiing, just a happy go lucky kid loving life. He was in the X - Games when war broke out than enlisted was a Navy Seal. Zach turned out to be quite a ladies man too. A Bear with many talents. To bad he's been waiting a year and still no match from Match.com.
Maisie Green came from Paris after she became an award-winning pastry chef she decided it was time to go home to be with her mother and to open a bakery on main street in the Fate Mountain Village. Everything was great but her mom was right she needed a boyfriend.

 Title: Geek Bear
Series: Rescue Bears  Book #6
Omg  what are we going to do this is the last book of the Rescue Bears. Ms. Scarlett has left the best for last or has she... Your guess is as good as mine. What I do know is that this Series is phenomenal,  living on Fate Mountain  where the Resort, Brewery and the ex-military Rescue Bears all with there fated mates, babies plus the little tikes. Wow what a Clan!!
As a computer programmer Whiz Kids, Corey Bright invented the app that would find his Rescue Team there fated mate. Mate.com which was a shifter/ human dating site,  yep it worked for his buddies, it seemed to work very  well that it just added to his billions but than he could care less about money and he wasn't interested in finding his fated mate. Little did he know that the Rescuer Bears had other plans for him. Will they succeed?
Willow Rhine is the ghostwriter for the famous romance author, Sandra Collins. Willow didn’t want all the signings and press chattings, she just wanted to write, which for some reason she has writers block better yet somehow someone found her out and now she has a stalker who loves to send threatening messages. Now for once what seems like a long time since anything went right she a match. Yep they found her Fated Mate at Fate Mountain.

This is a great set of stories. I read them all when they were released individually.

They are all shifters who work together after serving together in the military. At one point all shifter were required to do so. Society has now welcomed shifters to the community after years of prejudice. These shifters are looking for their fated mates. When they find them, they will do anything to protect them.

Chief Bear

Levi and Juliet have both been hurt by relationships are wary of getting their heart broken. Levi is a shifter and it is only recently that shifters and humans have publicly been able to be in relationships without a lot of backlash. They both join a dating service that lets shifters meet their human mates.

Juliet is very quiet and more of a follower than a leader. Levi is a true leader and still has his team from the military around him that work as a rescue team. Levi has to work cautiously to convince Juliet to be his mate. It is a sweet romance.

I enjoyed the story and the characters. It is a pretty quick read and leaves you satisfied.

Wild Bear

Shane does not have it easy with his bear. He feels out of control and fearful of getting involved. He retreated from society and has only recently returned when he finds his old love.

Lily has been abandoned by Shane and is not sure she should even tell him about their child. She is afraid of being hurt again. She has worked hard to support her son but needs some help.

It was interesting to see Shane have to deal with the aftermath of his decisions. He has to decide if he can be a parent to his son. Lily is very protective of her son and wants him to be safe and happy.

Big Bear

Angus is a bear shifter looking for his fated mate on the new app his friend developed. He has other shifter friends who have been successful and he hopes to find his mate as well. Poppy is an accountant that hopes the app can find her her mate. She is excited by the idea of being matches with s shifter. When things at work become difficult, it seems perfect timing to meet her mate.

Angus wants to go slow to protect them both from the intensity of the connection but it is hard on both of them to wait. They feel an intense attraction. I appreciated that Angus is a good guy for wanting to wait and not rush Poppy regardless of how much his bear pushes him. He is not as alpha as some of the earlier characters in the series. He is very calm and in control. Poppy is a sweet woman and Angus seems like a great match for her personality. They are both very loyal to those they care about and take their responsibilities seriously.

I enjoyed the story and the characters. It is a pretty quick read. It is nice to revisit with some of the characters from the earlier books in the series and see them so happy for the most part.

Brew Bear

We met Drew and Quinn in the first book where they met, mated and then Quinn disappeared on him all in one day.

I was wondering when we would get to learn more about them and see what was in store for their relationship. Drew is pretty bitter now. He lost his mate and is drinking too much of his beer. His friends are worried and encourage him to find her but he is too angry and hurt. Quinn has been in hiding and has a major surprise for him. She is ready to give birth. She needs his help and isn't sure how open he will be to providing support. While he will be there for his child, he is not sure he wants to give Quinn a chance to hurt him again.

I enjoy the series and seeing each of the bear shifters find their mate. They have had challenges. I feel for both of them. Quinn had her reasons for being on the run. She did not want to hurt him. Drew is angry and hurt and has a right to feel that pain. They have an amazing connection and it was hard for them to deny it all these months. With them in close proximity, it is impossible to ignore the desire.

Ski Bear

Zach is a polar bear shifter and has been eager to find his mate and settle down like so many of his friends. He keeps checking the app for a match but no luck. Maisie is moving back to town from Paris to open her shop and be back with her mom. She needs to focus on work but her mom encourages her to try the shifter app. These two don't appear to be a match but the app says differently.

I have enjoyed this series.. Each of the members of the rescue team has been finding happiness with their mates. There is just two left and Zach is the one that like to have fun and party but is now ready for something different. He wants to be treated with respect and not just like a kid. Maisie seems so sophisticated and he worries about making her happy. She worries that she is not an athlete like him and he will be disappointed in her.

Geek Bear

Corey has been the only Rescue bear that does not want to find his mate. He developed a program for others to find their mates but wants nothing to do with it. He saw the bad side of fated mates in his home growing up. His friends decide to do it for him and sign him up for his own program.

Willow is a romance writer that writes anonymously for a famous writer. It is supposed to be a secret but a stalker knows her identity and is sending scary letters. When she gets the match notification and an invitation to meet Corey, she decides it is a good time to get away.

Willow wants to focus on work and is not sure a romance will fit in her plans but she does feel the connection to Corey. She is shocked and hurt when he shares that he does not want a mate. He helps her find her stalker but keeps her at a distance. He has to decide if he will take a chance on more.

Willow is a woman that has focused on writing and not really living. The stalker situation has really scared her and it is jeopardizing her writing career. Corey is a man that is often alone at home working on his programs and is isolated as well. With his friends finding mates, he has few options for fun. These two seem to be a perfect match if they can get over his fears. They definitely have a lot in common and feel the attraction from their first meeting.

I am voluntarily reviewing a copy I received.

Great read

I really enjoyed this series but I made the mistake of starting with the Bear Patrol series so I had to stop reading it and start with this one now that I have finished with this one I can go back to Bear Patrol. If the next one is as good as this series I will really enjoy it as this was a well written series great story lines you can sink you're teeth into and characters that you become involved with it is a series that grabs you from the first page and keeps you wanting more when you get to the last.

What an awesome series! I loved each and every one of these books. They are all easy reads that will warm your heart, wishing that not only were these shifters real, but that you had your very own to snuggle up to and love. Ms. Grove certainly has a talent that will have you coming back and looking for more from her.
I have reviewed each book individually rather than here, but I can assure you that you won't want to miss out on any of them.
Happy reading!!!

Bear Shifters to the Rescue

Bear shifters to the rescue! Six stories about six very different shifter guys banding together to save those in danger on the slopes of Fate Mountain. Personally, I think some of the stories are more compelling than others. For me, some of the female characters were annoyingly wishy-washy. That said, I definitely recommend this boxed set to anyone who loves good shifter romances.

This is all about the bears that started it all. Ex-Navy SEALs that comprise the Search and Rescue team on Fate Mountain and how each found the woman of their dreams (even if they didn’t want a mate). Each of the six relationships has it’s own challenges and the bears’ work together as a team towards a happily ever after for each one.

Wonderful box set

I really enjoyed all the stories in this box set. My only complaint is that all the stories mentioned a war so I felt that I wasn't privy to what had made the males have the personality they had. I always love a fated mates story line and Scarlett Grove has yet to disappoint me.

Great Reads

From discrimination to abuse and everything in between, the issues covered are heavy; the manner in which the author tackles them is commendable. Serious topics doused in plenty of humour. Can't help but fall in love with the characters, who knew Zach would be so " mature"!!!

These are easy reads. I like the connection/found family of the Rescue Bears. As the whole premise is that each couple are fated mates, they are very similar.

I liked these stories a lot. Read them individually and enjoyed good moments laughing and feeling with the protagonist good and not so good emotions they have to deal with while conquering their fears and finding love. These stories are refreshing, interesting and very entertaining.
Chief Bear
Both Levy and Juliet, had had experiences that nearly destroyed their lives but they were trying to survive the circumstances they were living in. Levy was a natural leader, smart and concerned with his legacy. Juliet yearned to be loved, to be desired by a man who didn’t see her flaws and that made her feel good. The match worked and the author took the reader through the process where each one, Levy and Juliet, accepted their destiny together. Loved the narrations and inner dialogs that both characters had. The story was good written, very interesting with hot sex, romance and suspense.
Wild Bear
The tumultuous relationship between Shane and Lily was very interesting. A damage wild bear shifter doubtful about his capacity to remain in control and a human willing to cross the path to be with the only man she would ever love. As Lilly said, he was afraid of letting anyone close to him. Loved how the author worked with their emotions. Lilly was a strong woman who knew her mate. She gave him the push he needed to cross the barrier that was holding him. Like when the authors manage emotions in a sensible way and made me feel with the characters. Good and interesting story that left me eager for Drew’s story.
Big Bear
Angus was the big and all heart shifter of the Rescue team. His and Poppy’s story was a lovely one about two souls that needed each one to fill the void in their lives. They met each one desires and longings and were fated to be together. He wanted her trust and she needed to be wanted. The story had sweet characters, some suspense, romance and a lot of emotions. Liked the sweet moments and dialogs between Angus and Poppy.
Brew Bear
At last, Drew and Quinn’s story. I knew it was going to be very good. I was emotional, sobbing like a child. Quinn have been confused, thinking what to do and doing nothing all this time. She could feel that something was missing, a hole in her heart and she was thinking in what could had been with her and Drew. Her bad decision was taking its toll and without any more choices she decided to go back to Fate Mountain. Would Drew help her or even belief what had happened to her? Liked how the author presented Quinn’s situation after she fled Fate Mountain. Made sense with the confusion she was dealing with. Good writing style clear with good narrations and descriptions that made me visualize the scenes and feel with the characters.
Ski Bear
It was getting late to find a mate. Poor Zack was watching his friends happy with their mates and he didn’t have his. He was ready, trying to show maturity and still nothing in the front. When Fate brought the beautiful pastry chef Maisie Green back to town he and his bear were thanking God. But Drewś and Quinnś bad experience had him worried. He would not make the same mistake. Maisie had her goals in life and was not sure she wanted to settle and both of them, Zack and Maisie had misconceptions about the other. Loved how Zack played his part in this book. He was so lovely, sexy and at the same time so nice with Maisie. The mating pheromones must be bottle! They are so potent! In this story there was romance, sex, action and suspense.
Geek Bear
Corey Bright, the elusive geek bear, thought he could escape the fated mates thing. This story was everything I was expecting. Corey fought like a cornered animal but at not avail. The pheromones were too strong! Enjoyed his struggle and how the author worked with his feeling and rationalization. He was a nut hard to crack but again Fate was lurking in the dark and his fated mate dangerous situation opened his eyes, at last! and made him act according to his true feelings. Loved Willow’s character. She was beautiful, smart, quiet, calm and strong. Everything that Corey needed to deal with his distrust about the fated mate thing. I was visualizing her mind thinking for the correct words and evaluating her emotions while talking to Corey. It was a hard thing to stand Corey’s lack of interest. Lot of emotions working here and I caught myself giving the evil eye to Corey and muttering a curse. Liked very much the story, how the author developed the plot and the good ending.

CHIEF BEAR-I loved this story about Levi and Juliet. Levi is boss of the Rescue Bears and owner of The Fate Mountain Lodge. His team of bear shifters that served with him as Seals in the Navy make up this group of rescue bears. One member is a computer tech and made a program called mate.com which Levi and Juliet both applied. Moments later they are matched at 100%. Juliet is a little leery and a little excited. They start texting and end up meeting earlier than they expected and things just heat up right from the start. I found the story itself very interesting and didn't want to put it down. We get to meet each bear and hopefully their will be a story about each one.
WILD BEAR-Another great story. Book 2 was just as great as the 1st book. Shane is known as the Wild Bear. Also known as a great chef. He comes back to Fate Mountain
as a human wanting to cook for Levi at the lodge. Also wanting to be in on the rescue bears. He's unpredictable, not being able to control his bear. He's a terror in the kitchen but his food is to die for. He signs up on Corey's Mate.com and is matched 100% to his fated mate. He knows her. He grew up with her. He's left twice already without a word. Can Lily trust him a 3rd time with her heart? It's not just her heart that's at stake, it's Theo's too. But Theo has his own plans. I couldn't stop reading this once I started.
BIG BEAR- Another great read in this series of the RESCUE BEARS! Angus, also known as Big Bear has been waiting patiently for his 100% match on Mate.com. He finally gets his match when Poppy fills out the forms on the app. It was love at first sight! Poppy brings with her the bird she loves dearly, Malcolm. She needs to get away from work once she feels threatened and decides to head on up to Fate Mountain ASAP. Her bosses find her and kidnap her at the lodge and Angus goes all in to save his mate. I am really excited to read the next book in this series.
BREW BEAR- Brew Bear and Quinn finally get back together. I've been waiting for this to happen. Quinn was brought up with anti-shifter parents and after feeling the strong feelings she has with Drew, she runs scared. She really runs and hides for 9 months. Quits her job and unfriends her friends. At her lowest point and ready to lose everything, she decides to contact Drew for help. When he opens his door and sees her, he gets the surprise of his life. His feelings run deep and Quinn has crushed him. Can he forgive her? Can their mating bond survive another chance for betrayal and devastation? Another great read in this series of the RESCUE BEARS!!
SKI BEAR-Another great read by Scarlett Grove with book 5 in her RESCUE BEARS series. We know Zach has been waiting for his mate to sign up on mate.com and when she does, it's 100%. Maisie has moved home after living in Paris. Using her award winnings as a pastry chef, she opens her own shop. She stops in to visit her mom at work who is none other than Kelly, the receptionist at Fate Mountain Lodge. She encourages Maisie to sign up on the app. After doing so, she meets Zach. The one and only Ski Bear, among others things. He's anxious and scared he's not sophisticated enough for her. She's anxious and scared she's not athletic enough. They each have their own insecurities to overcome but their attraction is there.
GEEK BEAR- We finally get to read about Geek Bear Corey and how he's determined NOT to find his mate on Mate.com. Well, the Rescue bears have other plans for him. They are all happy and mated and want the same for Corey. Corey verbally fights it tooth and nail being up front and honest with Willow once she arrives for a week's stay at the Fate Mountain Lodge. Willow needs to get away. She has writer's block and a stalker driving her mad. They are instantly attracted upon meeting but with Corey's honesty she leaves in tears only to have her stalker get her. What's Corey to do now? Great read!!

Love this series!

Chief Bear -- Wonderful shifter romance, I love the storyline and the characters. Levi is a bear shifter who longs for a mate, he finally decides to sign up for his friends mating site, but is still unsure of having a human as a past has shown him that being with a human can be hazardous to a shifters health. Juliet is looking for someone to love her for herself, curves and all, can a bear shifter be the one for her? Will their fears overcome the promise of love, or can they overcome their pasts to find happiness and love with one another?

Wild Bear -- Fast paced and emotional bear shifter romance, showing that everyone is redeemable, as long as you believe in yourself. Shane "Wild Bear" Keenan has come back to Fate Mountain after living in the wilderness since he was discharged from the military. Lily and her son Theo have also recently moved to Fate Mountain, she is hoping to find a shifter to help guide Theo in being a bear shifter. When Shane finds out he has a son with Lily he goes a little crazy, but he vows to protect Lily and his son, even if that means from him. His bear is out of control doesn't trust himself around them. Can Lily convince Shane that they are safe with him and they could build a life together, or will his stubbornness ruin a wonderful thing? When Theo runs away, all bets are off as Shane rushes to his rescue.

Big Bear -- Wonderful addition to the series and a great read. I loved it! Angus is a bear shifter who longs for a mate and signs up for his friend's shifter dating site. Nerdy Poppy decides to take a chance for once in her life and signs up the same dating website, thinking she may just find love, one day. She has fears that her boss is into some shady dealings, so when she gets a match she decides to risk it all and travel to Fate Mountain to meet Angus. Poppy is adorable in her goofiness, she is cute and funny. Angus is sweet, handsome, and protective, the perfect mate for Poppy. When they meet they get along great, but evil has followed Poppy to Fate Mountain, and is trying to prevent these two soul mates from being together forever. Add in a little Bird love and you have a terrific story!

Brew Bear -- Wow, I loved this addition to the series! Quinn has finally come back to Fate Mountain, she knows she acted rashly when she cut all ties with Drew and her friends, and now she is back to make it right. But she is not alone, she is pregnant with Drew's child, can he ever forgive her for running away?

Ski Bear -- Sexy and wonderful addition to the series, I enjoyed reading Zach and Maisie's story very much! Zach has finally met his mate, but he has concerns that he is not sophisticated enough for her. Maisie instantly falls in lust with Zach, and when he tells her she is his fated mate, she is excited and happy, but is worried that a curvy girl like her cannot keep an athletic and sexy bear shifter happy. They have an undeniably strong sexual attraction, but are their lives too different to work? Will they realize that nothing matters but their love, or will danger prevent them from completing their mating?

This is a great box set about the Rescue bears of Fate Mountain finding their mates. They are all ex-military and are a close knit clan. They have all signed up for Corey's we site Mate.com. Come meet the rescue bears. I loved all of these stories and give this set 5 stars.

Chief Bear by Scarlett Grove is fantastic. The characters are ex-Navy Seals who live and work on Fate Mountain. Levi owns the Lodge and is the alpha of the bears and leader of the rescue team. One of his team has come up with a dating app. Levi and Juliet both sign up and are matched. Will this app really work? Will they meet sooner the they think? Will the team save the lost groom?

This is the second book in the series. This is Shane and Lily's story. Shane has had a very bad childhood which has left him with mental scars. He is also a famous chef. Lily loves Shane and has been hiding a secret. Not only has she loved him for years. but now they have been matched on Mate.com. Will Shane give in and accept Lily and her secret? Will he realize he can be whole?

This is the third book in the series. This is Angus and Poppy's story. Angus is second in command under Levi Alpha of the clan and the rescue bears. We meet Angus on a rescue to find a missing skier.
Poppy has been matched with Angus on Mate.com. She packs up her parrot and heads for Fate Mountain. Is trouble following her? Will Angus get to Levi's wedding?

Brew Bear is the fourth book in the Rescue Bear series. Drew who owns a brewery had met and marked his true mate only to have her run. Both Drew and Quinn have met again. Quinn is carrying Drew's cub and has returned to tell him. Will Drew forgive Quinn for the pain she caused? Will he be able to understand her reason for running? This is a story of second chances, hope and forgiveness.

This is the fifth book in the series. This is Zach and Maisie's story. Zach is the hotshot of the group. He has competed in the X-Games and loves the adrenaline rush. He is also a stripper. Maisie is a pastry chef who has returned from Paris to start her own bakery. They are a perfect match. Well maybe not. Is Maisie to highbrow for Zach? What happened the Maisie tries skiing on her own? Can these two opposite really be a perfect match.

This is the final story in the set. This is Corey's story. He is the squads computer geek and designer of Mate.com. He has sworn to be single after his parents disastrous marriage and having to raise his sister. Enter the crew who decide to meddle. Willow is matched with him and a blind date is set up. Oh boy, will this work out? Does Corey blow a fuse with his crew? This you have to read to find out.

Chief Bear
A very nice story about a lonely shifter bear meeting his fated mate in a curvy human who has self-esteem issues. They meet through a website his friend set up just for shifters. They both have their issues to work out but in the end they get their HEA.

Wild Bear
Wow, what can I say about this book? Such a heart-wrenching story between the broken bad bear and his human mate that he wouldn’t claim. A great story of love and redemption!! Loved it!!

Big Bear
This is the third book in this series dealing with Angus finding his fated mate in Polly. I really liked Polly, probably because she has a parrot named Malcom and I own 7 of those featherbutts. Polly has gotten her into some trouble with her ex bosses but of course Angus saves the day and they attend Levi’s wedding. Really sweet romance!!

Brew Bear
I have been waiting like forever for Drew & Quinn's story ;) Quinn finally realizes that she needs Drew so she goes back to Fate Mountain only to find an angry Drew waiting for her. Drew doesn't want Quinn anymore because she hurt him so bad but Quinn doesn't give up. Great story!! Now I can't wait for Zack's story and especially Corey because as much as Corey doesn't want a mate, I have a feeling he'll get one anyway!!

Ski Bear
Great story, loved that Zach found his fated mate was Kelly's daughter. In the beginning, neither one thought they were good enough for each other but after Maisey tries to impress Zack with her skiing and has to be rescued, she realizes that they both were trying too hard and they are perfect for each other!!

Geek Bear
I have been anxiously awaiting this story about Geek Bear Corey. Corey is the only rescue bear that didn’t want a mate. His parents were fated mates but his father kept leaving his mother and he didn’t want to go through that. The Rescue bears created a profile for him and invited his fated mate to Fate Mountain without his knowledge. Willow is a ghostwriter and has a stalker so she decides to go to the Mountain and see what happens. They have a rocky start but it all works out for a happily ever after!!

A great bundle of the series. Ms. Grove has provided all of the guys in this one great boxed set. Just a sample is the one that starts it all, Chief Bear.
A new series with ex-SEAL bear shifters. I'm already hooked, now add their new gig includes a mountain rescue team. So tick it off, hot guys, ex-SEALS, continuing heroes and hot guys not afraid when they see what they want to show her why she should want them too.
Chief Bear, Levi, has made a professional success of his life and a rewarding side line. Now he wants a mate and family to share it with. Although he has his reservations about human women, the limited number of female shifters make him try, especially when one of his team creates a dating site. Bingo. Juliet.
She is quiet, has not had successful relationships and now her professional life is making her miserable. Why not give the site a try.
Both want a happy relationship but are reluctant to try a human shifter one. A friend's happiness puts both Levi and Juliet together. Let the steam begin. They are immediately attracted, even though the reluctance is still there. Their dating effort is touching and watching Juliet see men in another light and Levi doing the showing is a delight.
Nothing is that easy, their friends have issues, problems and as the two steady ones in their specific group puts a lot of pressure on the two. Can they overcome their hesitance? Will they be forced to take sides with their friends or will they be able to stand together?
Ms Grove does a great job of introducing all the players and the guys and maybe some of the gals for future books. I'm looking forward to this series. Bring it on! And I have to say I read them all and enjoyed each one. Don't miss this deal.
I was provided an ARC for an honest review.

Good book

It's funny and emotional and loving. Each book was made into its own. They weren't the same person traits. They all had different backgrounds.
