Most strikingly, the sudden death of their bass player Paul Gray in 2010 has changed the face and the attitude of the group, although their commercial profile is, if anything, greater than ever. Buena biografía de Slipknot que cubre su historia hasta el cuarto disco. Siempre me pareció curiosa esta banda por su mezcla de rabioso metal y su espectáculo el cuál pude apreciar en plenitud en aquel lejano festival Sonnisphere celebrado en Barcelona.
Este libro nos cuenta su historia. El origen de sus máscaras, sus inicios en esa asfixiante Iowa y sus locuras. Hecho en falta algunas anécdotas como la grabación del segundo disco del grupo donde se enfrentaron a fantasmas en una mansión embrujada y más detalles sobre las muertes de dos de sus componentes. Aún así es un buen libro donde se desgrana las principales influencias y creencias de la banda y su cariño por los fans.

Als fan van Slipknot, is het een prima boek om meer te weten te komen over de geschiedenis van de band. Er staan genoeg anecdotes in, die niet overal bekend zijn. Zodat je voor je gevoel geen wikipedia pagina aan het lezen bent.
Verklaringen over onderwerpen van nummers zet je wel aan tot denken. Vooral als een van je favoriete nummers blijkt te gaan over iemand die zijn eigen polsen heeft doorgesneden. Maakt dit de muziek slechter? Nee, het laat vooral zien dat Slipknot niet bang is grenzen op te zoeken.
