Holy sweet, spiritual, shattering, and soul-embracing read! What a beautiful conclusion to Violet and Rock's story! Get lots of tissues as I cried more in A Different Shade of Violet than in The Violet Widow. This story is gut-wrenching. Thrilling. Pure addiction. Life and Death. A Different Shade of Violet tears at your heart and makes you realize just how precious life is...to live every moment to the fullest.
Just when The Violet Widow was becoming Violet Dyson again, a different kind of tragedy has separated her from her new love, Hudson 'Rock' Stone, and it may be a permanent goodbye.
"The night Hudson walked into my life, he slowly but surely began to thaw my frozen heart. He captivated me, showing me what it was like to live again and how to enjoy each and every day. A different shade of violet kicks off three weeks after the violet widow finishes, it pulls you right into the book. This one is slightly darker than the first and it also dives in to MC world, the sick and twisted things that they do makes your skin crawl.
The first book had me on the edge of tears and the rollercoaster I was on was never ending with emotions but that was nothing compared to reading this sequel to it.
The author made my heart nearly stop when I got to this one part in the book. I was reading it then got to the one part when something bad happens thought how could the author do this... not now....No freaking way talk about a massive roller coaster I didn't know whether I was up or down reading this. I will say that even though Hudson is a right jerk he melts my heart how sweet and caring he is and how much he cares for Violet.
K.E OSBORNE certainly doesn't disapoint with this brillaint sequel, shes fast becoming one of my favourite go to authors to read. The characters go through a lot of pain and heartache between them, there will be a long journey for these two.

Watching Violet become 'broken' again was one of the hardest things I think I've read about in these series of books. Watching Detective Stone walk out on her was tough. Now I once again know more of the story on the other side of that proverbial coin. Watching the other side of the kidnapping, and murder of Detective Stone was something I needed tissues for. Because now I knew more of the story and the anguished cries of Violet when she saw Hudson shot. Seeing everything that happened with Violet when the MC kidnapped her was an eye opening revelation into things. It was interesting to see the Violet and Hudson side of the coin when Mad Dog was murdered, and what happened after the attack at the cabin. I will say that this book does end with an HEA. That's all you need to know about it other than that you really need to read these two in conjunction with reading Meltdown of Mad Dog. These three books literally go hand in hand. Happy reading! Thanks for the other side of the coin KE Osborn! Thank you!

A Different Shade of Violet is the second part of Violet and Hudson's story. It picks up shortly after where The Violet Widow ended. So you don't feel like your missing anything. Obviously you need to read The Violet Widow to understand what is going on in this book. This one also takes place during the Meltdown of Mad Dog.
I will admit that I liked this book much more than the first part.
Yes both Violet and Hudson had to work through their issues. I mean they did start their relationship on a lie. But I think that their relationship worked much better in this book.
Though I will admit there was still a time or two I wanted to shake Violet. There was also a time or two I wanted to shake Hudson.
This book had a bit of everything I like in a book. It had suspense, heartbreak, laughter, teary eyes.
I'm giving this book 4 stars out of 5!!!

What a sequel! KE Osborn really knows how to kick it up a notch to give us an action packed sequel that is full of angst and drama and had me anticipating the next part every time. All the questions that you had from the first book are answered and we get to delve further into the lives of Hudson and Violet. Can they make it forward after everything has been revealed? Can love really overcome this obstacle?
Violet and Hudson have gotten themselves into some deep trouble. They have the Mad Dog MC after their repayment for the drugs, and their leader is after Violet and her company. In order to protect her, Hudson must watch over Violet in protective custody. Being in close confinement with one another forces the two together and to reconsider their actions and their separation.
After Violets job is revealed, Hudson is adamant that he and Violet cannot be together. After all, he is a Policeman, it just wont work. But how can he stay away from her when he is madly in love with her. Is he ready to give it all up? Or can he look past it and make a future with Violet?
As well as the ongoing internal battle between Violet and Hudson, there is a lot of background action and the book definitely takes a darker turn as the two worlds of Violet and the MC collides. These scenes had me on the edge of my seat and added a real feel of drama to the book.
KE Osborn is amazing at giving us emotional books with added drama and this is no exception. I loved watching Hudson and Violet fight for their love and strive to create a future for themselves, regardless of what was thrown at them. There is a lot of pain and heartache in this book, but it aims to show that even after the worst of life, if you work there can always be a happier future and one filled with new love and life. Sometimes love is worth fighting for.
A truly brilliant read and such a great sequel. KE Osborns books for me, just keep on getting better and I cant wait to see what she next has instore. Loved it!

This is book 2 in series and picks up perfectly from where book 1 ends...
S*** talk about emotional! I feel like i've been on the biggest rollercoaster, EVER!!!
It's been 4 weeks since the raid and Hudson turning into a compleate and total f****** b******!!!... And Violet's journey continues...
This book delves deeper into Violet's past and helps you to understand more as to why she became The Violet Widow!
This book is written with such a mind blowing passion that you literally feel the emotion through the pages! The good, the bad and especially the down right devastating!
When Violet's life is put in danger, can Hudson help? Will he help? Or will he turn her away? With the energy between them still buzzing, and lives in danger... Will they get their HEA? Or will tragedy strike again?
I truly don't want to give any spoilers away which is bloody hard with a book that contains so much of everything, because it's a struggle to express how amazing the book actually is!!! A huge 10/10 read that i would have so loved to award a much higher rating than 5 stars (sadly 5 is max)... This book totally swept me off my feet and knocked me on my ass... HARD!!!
I think my favourite parts of this story were the 'dreams' as they were so emotionally charged and tender and just spot on perfection!!! I recommend that everyone really does need to READ THIS BOOK because it's definitely one that will be staying in my head and heart forever!!!

The second instalment in the Shattered Hearts series was just as gripping as the first. This book was so emotionally charged; soul destroying, heart breaking and terrifying, this book had it all. Author KE Osborn with her words ripped my heart out. From the first page until about 60% I don't think I breathed easily. The emotions in this book must have been so hard to write, but this author nailed it.
I started this book as soon as I finished book one, because I needed to know what was going to happen between Violet and Hudson. My heart hadn't even had a chance to heal from the first book and I go and throw myself straight into this one, boy was that a mistake, my heart was shredded.
Violet is broken all over again, she let herself fall for Hudson and in her eyes he destroyed her, he lied to her, and even if he wants her back can she trust that he'd never break her again.
Hudson, poor Hudson, torn between the love he has for Violet and his passion and commitment to his job, what does he do.
This couple face so many obstacles, their professions being the most obvious. But its things such as a spiteful ex, a crazed MC and pride that prove so much harder to get past.
Saying anymore on the story-line will give spoilers, and you need to experience his book blind, it will destroy you to the point you may not want to go on, but it is worth the heartbreak; the highs will eventually outweigh the soul destroying lows.

Firecracker and Rock are back and I just know I’m going to cry again!
It’s three weeks since the secrets they both kept came tumbling out and their life together is over.
Violet is heart broken and tries to pick up the pieces of her broken heart and Hudson finds comfort in his ex girlfriend the toxic Cassie.
As Vee throws herself into her work as a madam her peace is once again threatened when MC gang attack her.
Although Vee and Hudson are thrown back together when he’s assigned to protect her will he be able to put aside his revulsion at her career choices and will they find a compromise where they can be together.
I loved the journey the couple are taken on and I cried tears of either sadness or joy with each page as we are taken on an emotional roller coaster ride.
The writing is fabulous and Rock is so hot don’t think I will be able to eat ice cream again without giggling.
This is not a short easy read, it was a long angst ridden book, but well worth the journey Ms Osborn takes us on.
It also makes a refreshing change that this wasn’t spun out to make a trilogy as so many authors do nowadays. You must all rush out and buy the series now you won’t be disappointed.

I am giving this review on behalf of Kats Book Promotions/ Katsindiebookblog. I am so happy with this book. It starts you at roughly 3 weeks since Hudson left Violet, after finding out what she has done in her past and her career choice now. You are also still dealing with the drama, well starting more would be better, of the MC Gang. You are able to see the heart ache between both the characters, but with Hudson being an officer of the law, you can't have people questioning your judgement if you are messing around with a known Madam. Slowly the realization of Hudson not coming back to Violet slowly makes her come back to her old self. Dealing with the pain in her heart plus dealing with the drama of the MC, it seems to be inevitable.
Without giving too much away, it is a must read to find out all the answers you want. What happens for Violet, Hudson, and the crew from Cupiditas. Can the drama be fixed dealing with an MC club, or will it be too much to handle? What kind of future does everyone hold?
This was a very hard book to put down, once it started it just didn't stop. I will definitely reread this again it was that good! Come and enjoy the story of Violet and Hudson, you won't be disappointed.

What a great second book in the Shattered Heart Series. I have really enjoyed reading Violet and Hudson’s story. The amount that this couple goes through is amazing. It’s drama after drama and it’s addictive to read. I experienced a roller coaster of emotions reading A Different Shade Of Violet.
At the start of the book, Violet is upset over losing Hudson. When he discovered Violet’s job, there was no going back to the way things was especially finding out that Hudson is a cop. Violet’s love and despair is still present regarding her husband Danny and her son Caiden who were both killed six years ago in a car accident. She still finds it hard to cope with that loss and now she has lost the one person who made her feel alive again. It’s not over for these two when the biker gang, The Rebel Dogs start threatening Violet and her employees. Violet has to go into witness protection but Violet won’t go unless Hudson is the guy to protect her.
Like I said it’s drama after drama and I never got bored once. Highly recommend this book and if you haven’t read the first one, check out The Violet Widow. It is truly fantastic!

This is a great follow up “The Violet Widow” – it picks up a few weeks after the end of book one where Hudson finds out what kind of business Violet actually does, and that was heart wrenching as it was.
This book also takes you an emotional journey for both Violet and Hudson. After a run in with a local MC group called Rebel Dogs – Mad Dog their leader has is in for Violet. So much so that is see her being beat up and put into protective custody. She goes on the only condition that Hudson goes with her.
The sexual tension between then in the closed confines of a cabin prove to much and they are at loggerheads – he loves her but cant get past her being a madam
The story takes a dark turn and it was so gripping that I couldn't put it down. I felt the pain along with Violet and cried with her.
This is a book that you can’t put down until you get that moment where you can breathe easy gain, at what point that is you will just have to find out for yourself.
Suffice to say this is a great conclusion to Violet and Hudsons story. Bloody brilliant as all of of KE Osbourne s books.
This book also takes you an emotional journey for both Violet and Hudson. After a run in with a local MC group called Rebel Dogs – Mad Dog their leader has is in for Violet. So much so that is see her being beat up and put into protective custody. She goes on the only condition that Hudson goes with her.
The sexual tension between then in the closed confines of a cabin prove to much and they are at loggerheads – he loves her but cant get past her being a madam
The story takes a dark turn and it was so gripping that I couldn't put it down. I felt the pain along with Violet and cried with her.
This is a book that you can’t put down until you get that moment where you can breathe easy gain, at what point that is you will just have to find out for yourself.
Suffice to say this is a great conclusion to Violet and Hudsons story. Bloody brilliant as all of of KE Osbourne s books.

This book was the perfect way to end the story! Violet has been thru a lot in her life and it was starting to look up until Hudson couldn't handle her job. They broke up and it has been rough for both but being stubborn like are, they hide their feelings. There's a lot of action in this book. Violet's business is threaten by a relentless MC club. Violet tries to take care of it, only to put herself and her staff in harms way. She is taken by the police to safe house with Hudson. They try their best to avoid each other but the attraction is to strong and they can't stop it. So they rekindle their relationship, only to have more trouble. The MC club finds them and tortures Violet. After an long stay in the hospital, both Hudson and Violet decide to give up their jobs. Start fresh and live a relaxed life. Just when things are going good, another little surprise happens. Violet is able to find peace and comfort with Daniel and Caiden's deaths. She is able to move on and live happily with Hudson. This book is so full of action, hot sex and not so hot sex, love, respect and even a crazy stalker chick. You will love Violet and Hudson's story! I know I did!

Wow what an ending! I absolutely loved it so many twist and turns. Great in depth story taking you into a lots of trouble for the main characters.
There's trouble every way turn, can they every carry on after her true story is revealed.....no way! Your heart just breaks, you can't see a way through, then they get thrown together again!
Her past has caught up with her and no way they have a future even though their hearts are in sync their heads say no. But then fate throws them in close proximity and lust takes over......both thinking well we might as well have one last time together?
The another twist! Is she alone again? Is her life gonna be lived alone and miserable, just keeping things going no love for her again?
This time the author has out done herself, to date this has been the most in depth emotional yet lusty book from K E Osborn, this is one hell of ride! Boy your sucked in and spit out but an amazing read, start to finish. She just getting better with every book she writes....so keep writing, I'm ready for the next!!

This was the perfect follow-up to The Violet Widow? (Shattered Heart, #1). K E Osborn keeps me on the edge of my seat! I was reading the book as fast as I could possibly read to find out what happened next.
I love Violet, and I love Hudson. They go through so much drama and events I can't even imagine going through. I also love in this book how they still call each other by their nicknames when they first met each other. I love Hudson's family, and it is just what Violet needs. Violet has been through so much in her life and it doesn't seem to end when the motorcycle gang starts to pick on her as well.
This series will put you through a lot of emotions. It is amazing how close you will feel to these characters and worry about them even!
The motorcycle gang in the story keeps it action packed, and thrilling. I am going to start reading K E Osborn's other books, and am looking forward to anything else she writes in the future!

Author K E Osborn has done it again with a wonderful series....I was given an ARC for an honest review.....I loved this series. The last seven chapters where fricken amazing. That's where the book really made me so emotional.....I felt their heart break twisting my heart. I laughed out loud and I cried......like a big baby!! I would have loved if the if the last 7 chapters were more focused on then the hospital stay.I was on a twisted emotional journey with Hudson and Violet that really just grabbed my heart strings and i really fell in love with Hudson and Violet even more. You will love how their story comes to an end. I was given an arc for her debut book Trust Me...the first in the Trust Me Trilogy and I fell in love with Kimberly first book and every book there after.

Seriously this book should have came with a warning. Not the usual violence and sex warning but the you will cry through the entire book warning. I cried for both of them. The heartbreak, the hope and the pain. It just kept me in tears. I loved Hudson, then I hated him. My emotions were all over with the conclusion. There is so much drama and suspense you are finished the book before you even realize it.

What a great way to end Violet and Hudson's story. I loved The Violet Widow? and wasn't sure how I could possibly love reading the end of their story, but Kimberly has given me the closure I needed. Don't get me wrong, I sobbed like a baby more than once while reading this book, but that is a testament to the wonderful writing of Ms. Osborn.
It is hard to put this book into one genre. There is definitely romance, but there is also an MC, suspense, mystery, realistic fiction, and some smoking hot scenes. There is a shocker near the end of the story that I didn't see coming, but it all made sense after I knew.
This book will leave you believing in 2nd chances, at life and love. It isn't necessarily an easy path, but it is possible.
I can't recommend this book highly enough.

Once again life proofs to have it for Violet. After thinking life had made it up to her for taking her husband and only child five years ago, it seems that Violet is not going to get what she needed. Hudson Stone, her rock.
After finding out her secret, Hudson makes the most difficult decision of his life but is that the right choice.
Violet is facing danger thanks to the Rebel Dogs the MC gang that had terrorized her employees but can Hudson help her or will she be faced to fight that battle alone?
I could not write more of the story without giving anything away. But let me tell you if you thought book one was epic, book two is three time better than one.
You will not be disappointed once you read this book or the series.

5 Crazy Ass Must Read Stars!!!!!
OMG, this was a fantastic conclusion to this "Crazy Ass Must Read" two-part series!!!!! KE Osborn is friggin' brilliant! I so did not expect all of that to happen. All the extra attention to detail made for fulfilling read. I don't like to be left with lingering questions and everything that was bugging me in the first book was wrapped up well and good. Hudson broke my heart at the end of The Violet Widow? and again in the this book but he totally redeemed himself in the end. He made back onto my BBF list permanently.

Wow
So this book had me on an emotional rollercoaster from the start. I was in tears for parts and laughing out loud for others.
I really enjoyed the first 70% but after that it seem to drag a bit and take forever to get to the ending. All the heart stopping bits happened in the first half and then took a bit to long to get to the finale.
But it was good to see how things turned out

I received this for an honest review. I just first have to say how this author absolutely knocks my socks off with her writing..
This book took my emotions on a roller coaster and one I wasn't sure I wanted to get off.. I just freaking love these books. I was absolutely emotionally spent after reading this book and this series!!!

This is the second book in this series. After having her business raided by the police and having them find drugs belonging to a bike gang, the gang come back looking for the said drugs.. When they cant find them they take it out on Violet.. As she thinks that she has nothing to live for again after loosing Hudson, she makes it hard for the gang..

K E has done it again. I can't believe she released these books so closely, but I am glad that she did. I did get a bit more emotional with this one, as well as have some trouble reading certain parts involving The Dogs. But it was still another great read from the fantastic K E Osborn.
I will be anxious to see what she releases next!!!

Much, much better than the first book. There was still a bit too much repetitive back and forth. Also I don't like to cry when I read but that's just me. Some people like a sappy book.
Apparently this series runs into the Savages MC. I will say there was a Savage MC in this series but don't think they will be the same people. I'm about to find out.
The writing was great and like the first book I didn't notice any errors which is always a plus. If you like a dirty, sexy, sappy love story you might just love this one but please read the first one first as they run together.
