Unleashed is a short novella continuing the romance story of Jonathan and Grace. This is the third book (listed as 2.5) in The Colours of Love Series. Each book must be read in order.

description

description
"Our union was exactly as I dreamed it would be-uninhibited, wild, and all consuming, and I smile happily because I feel close to him."-Grace
Unleashed picks up one year after Uncovered. Jonathan and Grace have been married for a year and both have found solace in each other. Grace has found professional success working at Jonathan’s company and both have found a comfortable ease in living together as a married couple.
"It's gonna be OK, I tell myself, trying to ignore the fear creeping up in me. The thought that I might lose Jonathan is simply to terrible to imagine."-Grace
As per most married couples, as time passes, things begin to change and both most come to terms with these changes. In addition to marital conflict, some past adversaries reappear to cause havoc for Jonathan and Grace. Both Jonathan and Grace have secrets and are hesitant to open up to one another. Can Grace and Jonathan overcome the demons of their past and walk boldly together towards their future?

description
"You're mine, Grace. All mine. Don't forget that."-Jonathan
Unleashed was a rather quick read with a simple conflict and a simple resolution. Although I thoroughly enjoyed being back with these characters, I was certainly hoping for a more complex plot. There was a great deal of "misunderstandings" and simple "miscommunication" that seemed ill-suited for these two characters. After the journey we have taken with them through the first two books in the series, it seemed slightly unbelievable. Elements that remained strong in this read are the passionate "physical and emotional" connection that Jonathan and Grace share. Additionally, I was quite pleased to see some of my favorite secondary characters from the series flourishing a year after we had seen them last.

description

Overall, I thoroughly enjoy the writing style of Ms. Taylor. Considering the text has been translated from German to English I can sincerely say that nothing is lost in translation. Jonathan and Grace are still very special characters for me and although this wasn't my favorite in the series, I am still very glad that I read this quick glimpse of their lives. I would certainly read more from this author in the future.

3 okay but not understanding the need for a novella. Honestly, I loved this series so for but why would you write this novella when you could just have this part in the beginning of the next book? I guess authors do a lot of things readers won't understand but this made me shake my head.

The writing is still good, Jonathan is still one incredible man, and the story is still moving, so I can't complain too much. When the novella opens the reader learns a bit has changed since the second book ended with the fact that Grace and Jonathan have been married for some time, Grace has moved up in the company, and the marriage has been pretty awesome until recently. The tension in Grace and Jonathan's marriage comes from whatever he's keeping from her that is ultimately putting a wall between them.

By the end of the novella the wall has been shattered, Jonathan knows what Grace has been keeping from him and is more than accepting, and Grace learns what Jonathan has been doing. The two seem stronger than ever and the novella leaves the reader desiring the next book because everyone wants to know that happily ever after truly does exist.

Unleashed is the third book in the Colours of Love series and is also a novella. In this book we get an inside look at Jonathan and Grace's first year of marriage. When Jonathan starts to act awkward, Grace can't help but to worry. When she finds out that Jonathan has taken a meeting with Yuuto, she eves drops on their conversation. Grace begins to panic when she hears Jonathan admitting to making a mistake. Her immediate thoughts are that he has to be talking about her. Luckily that's not the case, but now she has to tell Jonathan her secret. One that could change the dynamics of their relationship.

Overall, this was a good read. As I mentioned in my review for Unleashed, if the series would have ended with that book I would have been ok with that. However, I did enjoy getting to see more of this duo.

Ok I thought we would get the answer to the Yuuto question....nope. I still think something should tie in there. I really didn't see the point to this very short story. Jonathan is moody and then turns into Prince Charming. Grace is worried and insecure. Again something is missing no depth.

**I would like to thank Netgalley, Bastei Entertainment and the author Kathryn Taylor for a free digital copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion**

Unleashed was a short quick read. It starts off a year into Grace and Jonathans marriage. Yeah that's right they've been married for a year. Grace finds out about something that she thinks Jon will not like and keeps it a secret, mean while she's noticing that Jon has become distant and is keeping secrets of his own.

Through out the book Grace is worried that their marriage will not survive. She finds out that Yuuto is back in the picture. While she was eavesdropping on Jon and Yuuto conversation, she hears something that breaks her heart. Will things work out in the end for Grace and Jon?

I think that Unleashed was short and cute. You learns about things right away. I just wish that we could've read about their wedding or heard more about it. I think that would've been cute cus we all read these book to get to the happily ever after. Grace was her usual self, working hard in the company. Jon is still Jon but a little quiet and kept to himself, makes you wonder what's he up to. Great book, like that it's short and to the point :-)

Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre:  Romance, Women’s fiction

I loved the first two books in this series but....I was disappointed in this one. Not from the content – that was excellent – but the length... I should have guessed by the price but I didn’t notice that it was different.   Where the first books were 230+ pages/ 3500 kindle locations  this one is just 630 kindle locations, maybe 50-55 pages and over very quickly. I don’t really know why it wasn’t just included as an epilogue in the last book.

Its a perfect ending to their story and a sweet, hot read. There’s little real plot or action though, with it being based around just a couple of simple things. I enjoyed it, as with the others its got a great flow and some spicy heat but I was so so disappointed that it wasn’t a “full” book. I don’t usually read novellas, but at least I did know the characters and background so it didn’t have to set that as well as the plots – my usual problem of everything being out in such a brief text.
If you want a quick, simple wrap up of Grace and Jonathon’s story you’ll enjoy this.
.
Stars: Four, short and sweet ending

This was a great quick read. The one thing I was disappointed about was it took place a year after their wedding. I was hoping to see all the planning that went into Grace and Jonathan's wedding as well as Sarah and Alexander's wedding. I would consider this a must read if you have read the first two books in the series, it was a great way to wrap up the romance between Grace and Jonathan. Some changes have been made in their lives and you get a peek at it all, the ups, the downs, and the insecurities that Grace has.

I am curious about the next book which has been released in a few languages but so far not English, fingers crossed that it will be released in English soon.

Unleashed is the third book in the Colours of Love series and is more of a novella type book. We get a look of how the first year is in the life of Jonathan and Grace and how their marriage is. There are ups and there are some downs. When Grace hears Johnathan admitting to something, she starts to panic and has a secret she has recently been holding to , waiting for the right time to tell. Now she is afraid to admit to. What will happen when she tells Jonathan her secret? Will this be the end to their marriage…
I loved the novella but wished it was longer and included some more scenes to it. The writing was fast, tight and on point. I really was sad this seemed to be it for Grace and Jonathan. This was a nice end to the story. By the end of the book, all has been said and done and the MC seem tighter than ever. You know they are stronger than ever and unbreakable. That is nice we can see that about them.

My rating: 4.5 stars ****

Where the first two books are novels this book is a novella. Jonathan and Grace had finally worked out all their hang ups and love had blossomed but in this novella Grace has a secret that could destroy their future. Although I loved the first two novels I felt that this novella would have worked better for me if it had continued where Uncovered ended instead of jumping so far into the future. It just felt like half of the book was missing. That aside I did enjoy the story in its own right. The story was very believable with the characters personalities. I have really enjoyed both the romantic and erotic journey of Jonathan and Grace. I do feel that the romance grew more with each of the books and the erotic scenes became fewer although just as intense. These books need to be read in order not as stand alone books.
I wish to thank Netgalley and Bastei Entertainment for allowing me to read and review this book.

This novella follows up with Grace and Jonathan a year after they are married and follows Grace while she uncovers some disturbing news about their future.

Loved this Novella! Jonathan, or should I say Grace, finally puts Yuuto in his place and I love it! Sadly, I don't know that this will be the last of him.

There's nothing bad about this quick catch up with Grace and Jonathan.

This was a short novella to wrap up the first two books and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing the completion of the story. This novella answered some of the really important questions that the reader still had after completing the first two books in the series. I loved how the author took the time to understand that she left a few big details hanging and wanted to give her readers the closure.

Definite 3 stars.

This story was very short. It begins one year into Jonathan and Grace's marriage. Grace has some concern about Jonathan and how he's acting somewhat closed off. Grace also finds out she pregnant and isn't sure how to impart the news to Jonathan.

This was too quick to really become engaging.

Right, first of this book wasn’t a full novel which I didn’t realize until I was about half way through the book. I would have loved to read a whole book because now it just felt like an epilogue that wasn’t included in the second book. However, it was nice read and enjoyed finding out about Jonathan and Grace’s happy ending.

Definitely a novella

This book took me maybe 30 min to read. It was quick and to the point. The book had the essence of a novella and not a novel. I was disappointed that this series wasn't more in depth.

Ridiculously short!

It's only about a chapter long; you'd think that a little more effort could have been put into extending the storyline somewhat. Disappointing!

Oh My!!!! Their going to have a baby! Grace doesn’t know rather to be happy, sad or completely scared. Jonathon had said before that he doesn’t want any kids. Has that changed? Will he leave Grace if she doesn’t give up the baby?

While she’s trying to decide how and when to tell him about the baby, she finds out that Yuuto is in his office. Instead of waiting for Jonathon to tell her what’s going on, she rushes up to his office and hears Jonathon saying it was a huge mistake, and he’s going to fix it! Grace automatically believes he is talking about their marriage, she runs out of the office leaving a mess behind. (Really Grace? He love you, I seriously said that in a loud angry voice…the stares were priceless:) )

She goes to see Annie and talk things over, only Jonathon follows her down stairs, and wants to speak to her alone. After finding out why she ran, he explained that she was completely wrong! It turns out he believes Yuuto is the one causing problems for the company, only has no proof. Grace then tells him what had been bothering her as well…

Grace of course has an idea about Yuuto that Jonathon readily agrees to. She is the only person that can make Yuuto lose his temper, pretty fast too. He admits a lot in his fit of rage, then is completely shocked when Jonathon makes a noise behind him. Jonathon pretty much gives him two choices, back off the company or I’m coming after you and your company. I believe Yuuto finally gets the message now.

The best news of all? Jonathon is accepting about the baby, concerned even. I believe there was some happiness mixed in with fear also…but for now, they are happily getting ready!

Hopefully there is more to this series!!! I want to know if its an heir or heiress? I really need to know these things! The only downside, for now, is I still have questions I want answered! And, Unleashed was wayyyyyyy too short!!! I mean, what about Sarah and Alex? Is Annie going to get married and have Grace as her matron of honor? How is Jonathon as a dad? I need more, I loved the Colour of Love series but Unleashed was just a let down for an ending, if indeed it was the last :(

I received an ARC for this book and read it on Nov. 20, 2015. Here is my review.

I liked this book by Kathryn Taylor, it is the third book in this story and takes place a year after they have been married. I know we all have been waiting to see where their story goes!

Grace is very happy but something comes up that leaves her worried for her marriage and her love for her husband may be in danger! Can she be honest and brave enough to tell him before it is to late? Life without hi would be no life at all but he is very determined that things go a certain way in their life.

As for Jonathon, problems have come up in his business that has him spending too much time away from home and his beautiful wife, but he feels he can't let her know anything is wrong, he is used to holding everything close to himself. Jonathon is very happy and does not want to spoil what he and Grace have. However he is a bit concerned as Grace seems to be bothered by something and he has no idea what it could be.

Things come to a head when Grace goes to his office one day and overhears something she never should have! Jonathon sees her and goes after her! what will happen-will they both come out with what is bothering them, will they be able to move on from both issues or will it ruin their life as man and wife? Be sure to read this satisfying addition to their story! You will be glad you did!

I gave this story 4**** stars and hope we may get more from this author!

(I received a free ecopy from the publisher, Bastei Entertainment, via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.)

Grace and Jonathan have now been happily married for a year. Recently, however, he's been seeming to pull away from Grace and appears to be hiding something. It doesn't help that Grace has just discovered that she's pregnant. She hasn't forgotten that Jonathan once told her that he never wants children. She soon discovers that Yuuto Nagako is back, and likely wants to mess with Jonathan. They struggle to deal with Yuuto as well as accepting her pregnancy.

This was a super short novella with two conflicts; Grace's pregnancy, and Yuuto's reappearance. It didn't take very long to read at all, maybe just over half an hour. I requested this from Netgalley a while ago not knowing it was a novella rather than book three, but I enjoyed it enough nonetheless. I was worried about their relationship for a short while, but was relieved when everything seemed to be okay by the end. I'm now waiting for the next book to appear on Netgalley.

Overall, this was a short, cute little story to hold me over until the next book. There was a little bit of a conflict but it was all solved by the end of it. I was skeptical about Jonathan for a little bit, but luckily he wasn't making me second guess my decision to like him. This ended up being an enjoyable read, but I'm looking forward to book three (hopefully) showing up on Netgalley at some point.

Unleashed-Colours of Love is a great 4 star read.
Unleashed is Book 2.5 Novella in the Colours of Love series.
Romance,Erotic, Hot Alpha

An uneasy feeling is creeping up on me, because when I think it over I realise that lately he’s told me very little about what’s happening at the company lately.

Unleashed starts in the future from where Unbound left off. Grace and Jonathan are married, Grace is working in another level of the company and we discover a secret that Grace is afraid to share with Jonathan.
We find that Jonathan seems to be falling back into his old ways which is causing some concern for Grace. He is being very secretive about meetings and business trips.
Why is Yuuto meeting with Jonathan? How will Jonathan react to Grace’s news?

I can’t think of anything except how unbelievably happy he makes me. Today, tomorrow, and forever.

Unleashed has left me wanting more, I was surprised to see a novella in the middle of a series. I loved it, however it got done way too soon. I would have liked to see the build up to the wedding day and thereafter. I am patiently waiting to see what is next. I want more of Jonathan, Grace, Alex and Sarah. Thank you Kathryn for a great read, I can’t wait to see what you have in store for these great characters. (fingers crossed)

After what happened in book two, I was rather keen to see what would come next and it didn't disappoint.

It's a year later and Jonathan and Grace have come a long way. The have been living in bliss but now there appears to be a change in Jonathan's behaviour, enough for Grace to start feeling insecure about their relationship. Has he gone back to his old ways? She knows him well enough to know that he is hiding something, but he won't come clean.

At the same time Grace makes an unexpected discovery! Now, she is the one having problems to tell Jonathan, afraid of how he might react. When she decides to go to his office to address their issues, she overhears something very unsettling and she is more upset than ever and runs. Jonathan goes after her! Will they be able to resolve their issues and go back to being the happy couple, they once were?

Although, this is a short read, it's very well rounded. A fitting end to this trilogy. It's full of love, passion and angst. There is betrayal, driven by revenge. There is also a twist! I thoroughly enjoyed reading the Colours of Love and recommend to romance lovers.

I was really looking forward to reading the last chapter in Grace's and Jonathan's turbulent romance, was I was rather disappointed. I think for me there were too many twists and turns for such a quick read. It felt like Kathryn Taylor had all these great plot ideas and was not allowed to unleash them into a full blown romance novel.

The first two books were brilliant, believable and well written and I was expecting the same from this was. This book begins two years after the Jonathan proposed to Grace. He's become withdraw and Grace fears that he's regrets choosing her over his old life. She also has a discovery of her own that puts her in a difficult position. When she finds out that Jonathan is once again meeting with the creepy Yuuto, she eavesdrops on their conversation and runs before Jonathan has a chance to explain the things he says.

So once again Jonathan has to run after Grace and make everything ok - and I think this is where it just goes wrong for me. It is same plot, same story-line as before and it feels repetitive.

Thank you very much to Netgalley and Bastei Entertainment for access to this book in exchange for an honest opinion.

"Unleashed Color of Love" by Kathryn Taylor

My Thoughts...

So, this is the third book 'Unleashed Colours of Love Series' and I a so happy to say the reader will get the rest of this short story of Grace and Jonathan who happen to be in their first year of marriage. How is it going for them? What will happen as Grace begins to notice that Jonathan is acting strange now this is making her nervous and worried. Is this justified? Well it seems like Yuuto [the enemy] is back in the picture and along with that Grace has a secret that she has been keeping from Jonathan. Why is she so worried about these situations? Well, to find out how all of this will come out you will just have to pick up this author's presentation to see how well it was done. As a matter of fact.... I loved its shortness, sweetness and to the point!

Thank you Netgalley for the copy in exchange for an honest review!

Unleashed is the third part in the Colors of Love series and is a novella. This one picks up a year after Grace and Jonathan are married. Things have been going good for them, but some unexpected news could threaten to change all of that. Also, an enemy from the past also threatens to ruin things for Grace and Jonathan. Will they be able to accept things and move forward together?

This read was short and to the point. I didn't care for it being a novella, as I usually try to avoid those, but was still a good read. I didn't care for the time jump either, but the author did a good job to not leave the reader confused. As I said, Unleashed was short, sweet, and to the point. I'm hoping that if there's another book in the series that we can learn more about the Japanese man and more from Jonathan's past. Overall, I've enjoyed this series and I would recommend it. I think for this being the authors first series, she's done a great job!

Okay, so I’m very confused because I was led to believe that the third book to the Colours of Love series was an actual book. In fact, it is really a short story that I finished within 30 minutes. That’s not to say that I was disappointed with what occurred in the story, but it just wasn’t enough. Basically Grace and Jonathan are happily married, but about a year into the marriage both are keeping a secret from the other. Grace’s secret is obvious, but regardless she begins to jump to conclusions once again giving into the self-doubt that plagued her throughout the first two books. Readers still get a happily ever after, but the description to this short story seemed to imply there was more to it. Since that is not the case, I would have been just as happy if the author stopped at the end of book #2 and called it a day. Cute story – but woefully short.

This is a novella, very short. If this is $5.99 you can happily end it at book 2. In this book we are 1 year into the marriage and Jonathon starts becoming withdrawn again at the same time Grace becomes pregnant and she's afraid to tell him. I'm not sure this story was even worth writing, it could have been done in an epilogue of book 2 and just had less drama. Perhaps there are more books coming. I was left with unresolved issues but nothing that is going to drive me crazy, just annoying more than anything. I would have been happier just ending it at the last book. Despite them being married, Grace is still just as insecure as she always was which I found ridiculous, the story was so rushed it didn't have any depth. Not a bad end though.
