The Ultimate, Unofficial Guide to the Oscars by Tom O'Neil (2003) is an excellent publication that serves as a comprehensive directory of film awards from 1927 to 2002. Specifically, this unique publication provides complete information regarding the Academy Awards as well as a sundry of other film industry honors. The book is arranged sequentially by year and includes a critique of the Academy Awards policies and procedures for voting. It also provides an accurate listing of the nominees and winners of the Oscars for each year. O'Neil's book is an excellent reference resource with a multitude of facts and narrative information regarding the history of the Academy Awards.
