Months after her narrow escape from death, Allie feels incomplete. She is weakened by Dissonance, a music-based illness which drains her strength every day; she struggles to feel useful, living a quiet life with her family in their Florida apartment.
As faery tales begin to fall, an unexpected death drives them back to Serenade, a kingdom where many see them as traitors. Facing new responsibilities, Allie must prove she has the strength to be a Muse and finally beat her Dissonance for good.

I enjoyed this sequel. Some of my favorite parts about it were the mermaids, ocean and the dragon. I can't remember exactly what else, I started reading this book in October, and finally finished it in December. A lot happened. I like how Allie's character is in this one.
Thoroughly enjoyed this second installment of the Fallen Faery Tales series, possibly even more than Book 01. It had been a while since I read Dissonance, and Serenade was a refreshing revisit to each of the characters, including their lives, backstories, and quirks. Have to say Tyson is by far my favourite character, always making me laugh out loud (literally)! I don't think this counts as a spoiler, but the cliffhanger ending left me hungering for MORE! MORE! MORE! I can't wait to read what happens in Book 03 and beyond...great work Mariella, keep 'em coming!
I loved reading this book! After reading her first book in the series, I couldn't wait to get my hands on this one. I bought it, and read it as soon as I could. Mariella paints a wonderful world with her story, and I am so excited for the next one as well! Even if/when this series ends, I will always be a fan of her writing.
Beautiful writing and storyline. I especially loved the characters, they're so deep and complicated, yet for the most part, easy to understand. I'd love to know what happens to them in the future. :)
