ReGina Welling prefers not to talk about herself in the third person so...

I live in Maine with my husband, a silly flufferpup named Dash, and a crazy cat named Cricket. I write full time and also create mixed media artwork when I get the chance.

When I was three, my mom brought home a new book and when she went to read it to me, I read it to her instead. That was when she realized I'd learned to read. Since then I couldn't even estimate the number of books I've read. It's a lot!

First, I think this novel would have been more enjoyable of the editing had been better. It switched from 1st to 3rd person and vice versa, often in the same sentence which was distracting. There were spots where it seems as if scenes were cut, but the lead up was still there so it was confusing.
That said, I really enjoyed the plot of this novel until the end. It wasn't really resolved very well. I understand that it had to leave the big bad unknown which I assume will be resolved in another book, but it didn't really how or why of this battle clearly. It was a bit disappointing.

Another great adventure for Adriel and her friends, beginning with the very first page! First introduced in the excellent Psychic Seasons series, Adriel is adapting to a new existence on Earth, guiding guardian angels and combating darkness. When she lands in an alley right after a woman is killed, she has no choice but to team up with Leith, a man with apparent magical abilities who is bent on saving souls. Leith was a complex characters, I liked that you're never quite convinced that he is who he says he is. The three fairies were a hoot, and I loved the carnival between worlds! The gripping plot led up to a thrilling ending that kept me on the edge of my seat! I can't wait for the next book to come out to see what Adriel does next!

Combining action, mystery and a hint of romance into only 159 pages, Earthbound Wings is a satisfying read in a great series and I definitely recommend it to readers who enjoy a light mystery, captivating adventure and great characters.

Great story even though it was an anticlimax

A good read but what was the point of it. Sorry but it just seemed to have been a pointless exercise. Didn't really lead to any answers but left plenty of questions. Just feel really frustrated now that I have finished it. Demons, a caped crusader, a dark angel, a kidnapping, the elemental fae, a prison and an earthbound angel join in a fight to stop evil taking control. But who is the mastermind behind the plot? Is it really a demon? And who killed the young woman in the alley? With her human friends she is coming to have a greater understanding of the strengths that humans have. Plus her own human body is a puzzle she has to work out. Are her powers gone or can she access them?
Great characters that pulled the story to a 4^ even if I seem to have completely missed the point of why this was an important passage for our earthbound angel.

ZERO STARS!!
By far the worst book of the series, and for so many reasons:
1. Horrible editing. Not sure if it is the e-book alone, but far too many sentences flip between third perspn and first person - literally in mid sentence! She clearly wrote this in first person and then decided to switch to third person because no one who can read and write in English would make these kinds of mistakes. NO ONE.
2. Terrible storyline. Confusing and slow, I honestly have no idea why anyone would want to read this, other than having enjoyed the prior books. There are new characters - Faries and a new random dude - but I didn't care about any of them. The 4 friends from prior novels are present but underused. Even Estelle wasn't really needed. Honestly, NO POINT to having the old characters involved at all, but was disappointer they weren't there. Also, there are a few varying stories buried in this mess hit none are interesting and they resolve very poorly. At all!
3. Horrible staging. When you are a poor story teller to begin with, you really should not try to write battle scenes.
4. Worst ending ever. Nothing really resolved, but nothing was really interesting to begin with.

Horrible. Terrible. Awful. Burn it.

So. I've now read all of this author's books except her Ponderosa Pines mysteries. So this review is about the body of work, in general, as as this book in particular.

I love her characters and I love her plots. And in my current state of mind when I don't want to read anything heavy they are perfect. Each book she writes tends to focus on one character, fleshing out their story, with others, even if they've been introduced in the past, are relegated to supporting cast. And that is one weakness in her writing that is really visible in her Elder Witches series. That series has two major characters and it doesn't play well. The author can't seem to developer either of them in the way she had in single major character novels. It leaves the series flat.

My other complaint is against her editor. Each of the previous books I'd read, there was at most a handful of rough sentences that should have been caught. But the two Earthbound books kept changing from first person to third person. That's a simple enough mistake that should have been caught on a first read through.

As I said in the beginning though, the stories are enjoyable and great fun. I do recommend them.

I read all six books since yesterday about six pm till today at approximately the same time...

I absolutely loved this series! From the beginning, Ms Welling, you had me hooked...ghost, ex creep, fortune hunting and happily ever after... eventually.
But after reading all SIX great books, you LEAVE ME HANGING....
Truly, what happens next? I bought the first from B&N, ouch for me, food for you, only to find the rest on KU! However, much as I hate not having a record of the entire six books at Amazon, they were so much fun to read, and incredibly hard to put down!
But!, what about Galmadriel? You can't leave it there, even if it was the first series you wrote, (have no idea how I missed, adore paranormal that works), surely question Adriel's future.....

Terrific series , so glad I found! Ms Welling, please do not forget Adriel!

Loved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Let me start by saying that I could have really enjoyed this book. I like the characters (and have enjoyed them all from the beginning of the series) and the story is fascinating. What I really, really disliked was the editing, or lack of editing. This book switches back and forth between first and third person, sometimes in the same sentence, plus I found a few misspellings and incorrectly developed sentences. Even though there is potential for another book in the series, I probably won't be reading any further.

Better than expected and still leaves a lot of room for more

More story line is what I mean. So many new characters we're introduced and develop that several different story lines can follow. It could be Adriel, Earthbound Angel, not fallen, Julius, newly given guardian status, duped by evil and released but to what end? Or will it be the new character, Leith, named after Lethe with no memory of his past but mortal with some healthy skills in fighting evil. Or ?

Great story. Poor editing.

I love this series and the author's other series as well. The story grips you and demands your attention. However, this book is VERY poorly written and edited. The constant switching from first to third person, in the same sentences, made finishing this book very difficult. Disappointed.

More questions than answers

Well, Julius is safe, so that's awesome. And now we know more about Lexi and her Mom's escape, rather than just being alluded to. Leith is still a mystery, but he is on the side of good.

Fast paced with enough detail that the characters are well developed . Really kept my interest. Great story I would recommend to anyone.

Too confusing

This book did not feel like I it went with the series. It did not have the same fun and flowing story line.

Fun series, but the errors in the kindle edition are hideous.

Since I don't normally write reviews unless I have something specific to say, here's the break down of how I rate my books...

1 star... This book was bad, so bad I may have given up and skipped to the end. I will avoid this author like the plague in the future.

2 stars... This book was not very good, and I won't be reading any more from the author.

3 stars... This book was ok, but I won't go out of my way to read more, But if I find another book by the author for under a dollar I'd pick it up.

4 stars... I really enjoyed this book and will definitely be on the look out to pick up more from the series/author.

5 stars... I loved this book! It has earned a permanent home in my collection and I'll be picking up the rest of the series and other books from the author ASAP.

Another great read

I have loved every book of the Psychic Seasons series. This one is no exception. This book chronicles the further adventures of Adriel the former guardian angel. We find her again rescuing a soul from going forever to the darkness. Aided by her friends and with the help of faeries and a guy she doesn't quite know what to do with, this story is an adventure from go.

Wonderful, suspenseful with hints of romance.

Wonderful, suspenseful with hints of romance. I love this series and all of the characters in her books. I enjoy the interaction between the characters and the growth over the series. Her characters from past books come into play in this book. I encourage you to read her other books first. I'm looking forward to the next book.

too many typos

This story would be much better if not for all the typos. In the same sentence, it would say she did some with my lips. The story listed Zack as Kats husband on one line and then her boyfriend in the next.
