Sexy, alluring, ruthless, and oh so complicated.

West Moseley is known as the “charming” Dark Dweller. With his cheeky grin and southern drawl, he can charm anyone, especially women. And does.

But after being held prisoner and tortured by the cruel Seelie Queen, West’s past comes back to haunt him. His memories of a tragic event and the truth of what happened on the Light side goes deeper than anyone realizes. Things he wants no one to know about.

Struggling with his own demons, he battles the very essence of what he is—a Dark Dweller—a terrifying beast from the Otherworld designed to hunt and kill.
When the Unseelie King sends him to Ireland to uncover a dangerous artifact, West’s entire world takes a dangerous turn.

When a treasure lands in his hands, one he never suspected, nor wanted, he learns one crucial thing: you don’t steal from the Demon King... not if you want to live.

***West is a spin-off of the Darkness Series. It is a stand alone adult urban fantasy romance, but it would greatly benefit the reader to start with the Darkness Series (1-4) first. West contains story-lines, world building, and spoilers from previous books and characters.

„You‘re thanking me for coming to rescue you?“
„Yes....? Did I not say it right or something?“
„You don‘t have to thank me darlin‘ . Nothing would have kept me from tracking you down.“

This is a one POV book, told by the POV of West.

For everybody who has read my previous reviews on the Darkness series, you already know I am absolutely swooning over West, so this book was a must for me. (Also yes the half star is there just because it´s West.) I love to get even more of him in this book and his dynamic with Rez was perfect. I loved the tension and I loved how both of them kept each other on their toes. There is also a sprinkle of the Forbidden Love trope thrown in there which works perfect with the tension, especially the sexual tension that they have.

There were no big newly added side characters that I didn´t know about yet, but I loved to see all of the characters from the Darkness series again. I especially liked how Ember and Eli made appearances and I loved to see the whole Dark Dweller Clan again.

This book tied the end of the series together very well for me. It shows the aftermath of "Blood Beyond Darkness" and explains more of Wests background and his POV during the events of the Darkness series as well. We also got a bit more on Lorcans past and kind of an outlook to the next series. I felt like it answered all the questions that were left open and is a nice transition into the next series. For a novella it´s amazingly long (around 400 pages) and it felt more like a fifth book to the series. The pacing was good, not too quick or too slow and I really loved the romance aspect in it. Some parts were quite dark, so please be aware of it when reading this and check the trigger warnings.

Overall it was an amazing novella that I really liked. And with that I can´t wait to dive into the next series set in this world.

trigger warnings: loss of loved ones, murder, torture, trauma, PTSD, drugs, mentions of involuntary prostitution, mentions of rape (not caused by the love interests)

“You are being a coward. Hiding behind your ghosts. You’re letting your fears rule you instead of letting them out.”

West’s story took place after the Dwellers of Darkness. The dwellers were working with Lars and West was assigned to a mission with Rez. I didn’t expect this pairing at all. 😮
What I love about West’s story was we were able to know what really happened to him. How he was abducted and what he went through with Aneira. I also liked that their relationship was gradual & they were able to get to know more of each other first. I also love how they fought for their relationship and the punishment given to them by Lars (it was perfectly executed😁👏🏻)
We also get to see the whole gang, love😍 the cameos.
This was a great addition to the series and I’m looking forward to Kennedy’s story 😏.

4.5 West Stars

I have been waiting sooo patiently for this book!
And it was fabulous! I really didn’t know who West was going to end ups with.

I mean we learn that he is having trouble with his dark dweller side since he was taken by the evil queen. But I don’t’ think we as readers understood what that was until this book.

His struggle is overwhelming and sad and he is a dark dweller so he doesn’t want pity. I really never had a clue who he was going to end up with, usually you have a thought.

But I kind of liked the not knowing and when you see who it is and wow.. Yeah WOW.. this book has ACTION in more ways than one.

It’s a perfect ending or a perfect middle book until the next of the series since the “king” doesn’t have em all yet ;)

LOVED the narration! Aaron Shedlock and his yummy voice. ;)

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Stacey has done it again!!!!! She has knocked all and any expectations I could ever have going into this book.
I have been blown away. Again!

A story of healing, acceptance and learning to move forward West is everything you want to have in a book. Packed full of heart-stopping action and twists you didn't see coming this book will have you hooked from beginning to end; keeping you on the edge of your seat with wanting to know the outcome.

I loved West!!! I really did and I loved the fact he got his own book. To see his more vulnerable side and learning exactly what happened when he was a prisoner of the Seelie Queen it made your heart hurt for him. You wanted him to catch a break and let things settle down but you just know it's not going to happen. Especially when you get called upon by Lars; The Unseelie King...

Lars is one hell of a formidable man who you really do not want to piss off!!! I know he's a demon but hell if his actions was him holding back just a little bit...fuck!!!!!
I still love him though. He is definitely one of my favourite secondary characters who I always look forward to reading about. I'm just a bit apprehensive about his bigger plans once he's got all of what he's searching for.

A truly, truly all consuming book which I devoured and fell in love with more as I read each page.

Thank you Stacey. For your words, your amazing characters and your uncanny ability to lock me in the world of Dark Dwellers, Sirens, Fae and many more mythical creatures I have come to love over the course of your books. I cannot wait to get more in the start of Kennedy's series. I can see the shit really hitting the fan and I'm giddy just thinking about it.

West always intrigued me. From his first scene in series, he just had this captivating energy and I was invested in his story. Watching him be a prisoner for most of this series was heartbreaking. He obviously made a mistake and was paying dearly for it. So when I found out the final book in this series was from his POV, I was sold.

While this wasn't my favorite of the series, I still really enjoyed it. I loved getting to look inside his mind . His time with the Seelie Queen really messed him up but we weren't able to fully understand just how much until this book. She broke something in him and he's desperate to get it back. Now, the Unseelie King has promised to help West but only if West does something for him first. So West sets off on a mission to retrieve a lost artifact with the King's mistress in tow - a drop dead gorgeous siren who makes Wests heart beat a little faster. Can you say danger Will Robinson?

This book was a fun cat and mouse chase kind of book while delving into Wests psyche. But I did feel the loss of all of the other characters from the previous books. After having four books that were so heavy with character interactions, it was a big switch to just focus on two people. It really made me miss the camaraderie between characters.

But what this book did do is set up the next series from this author and color me intrigued. Looks like I'll be in the world of Stacey Marie Brown for awhile now. And I ain't even mad about it.

11/26/2020: Reread!
Bumping my star rating up to 5 stars! I love these characters so much!

ORIGINAL RATING
3.5/5 Stars

This review MAY contain spoilers. Read at your own risk.

I really enjoyed this book a lot, but it was quite different from the rest of the Darkness series. I loved getting a better glimpse of West, his past, and his inner turmoils. I always loved his character and it was awesome to see him as the star of the show. That southern accent of his melts my heart.

The thing about the Darkness series that I always loved was the characters. The characters really bring this series to life more than anything else. At least to me. All of them together have so much incredible chemistry. I think that is the reason why this book, as well as the first book of the series, fell a little bit short while books 2 through 4 were ballpark knockouts. It is the only thing that is different about those two books and the other books in the series. I think that if all of the characters were present throughout the entire book then it would have added more to the book. The chemistry between the characters in this series cannot be overlooked. Once West reconnects with the rest of the Dark Dwellers at the end of this book I felt like I was back in books 2 through 4. The spark was back.

I felt that the plot was good. It does have a fairly self-contained plot of its own while stemming off of events and themes from the first four books in the series. It definitely had a different feel to it. I like that the plot in this book leads into what will happen going into the Lightness Saga.

The world building was detailed and easy to comprehend. West travels to Ireland in this book and I loved all the details specific to the different villages and places in Ireland that he and Rez traveled. It was quite atmospheric and very easy to visualize. The descriptions were great. I could feel the freezing ocean water and cold wind that was described in the book. It was easy to see and feel the surroundings described in the book.

The characters are the same from the rest of the Darkness series with a couple more new additions. We have already gotten to know most of these characters. The character development for West and Rez was incredible. We get to dive into the pasts and see the things that have formed their identities. We get to see and experience the demons that haunt them and it really makes you appreciate their character growth. Most of the characters in this series do not have happy pasts by any means, but I felt especially drawn to West and Rez's sad pasts.

I liked the romance between West and Rez. I liked that it was a forbidden type of romance since she was technically the Unseelie King's mistress. The fact that Rez and Lars didn't love one another really made me feel guiltless about repping the romance. I am not usually into the cheating aspect. I did feel that West talked a little too much about how horny he was over Rez. It was almost a little overpowering. But I liked that their romance was gradual. They got to know each other on their trip and fell in love along the way. I liked that West's beast claimed her. It was kind of perfect. It does make me want to see all of the Dark Dwellers claim their mates as well.

Overall, this was a great addition to this series. I loved reading about West's story. If you are a fan of this series then I would highly recommend reading this book. It does add a lot to the overall story. Especially if you are going to continue on to the Lightness Saga from here. If you haven't tried this series then I greatly recommend you read it!

“Home. For centuries I struggled to find mine. To find my place. And in my journey it only led me back to the family I walked away from, never thinking I fit in. It was now the only place I knew I did, with people who loved me, who would di€ and ki|| for me. I had been too selfish before to see what I had, too stuck in what I didn’t have to see what I did.”

West, for whatever reason, was one of my favorite side characters throughout The Darkness Series. So, to have a book centered on him was pure delight. Add Rez to the mix and a trip to discover a long lost powerful object and the result is one AMAZING book. I was scared for a minute there, not going to lie. And Lars worries me. But who can stay that way when reading about West & Rez?! No one! This was funny, heart racing, swoon worthy and 🌶 🔥 And to have Ember and Eli back at the end - banter included - was chef’s kiss 💋 5 stars ⭐️

P.S.: Oh Kennedy 🥺

MY MAN WEST !!!!!

Omg I don't know how I'm gonna review this book, other than say Stacey did it again, she told another amazing story and I totally fell more in love with MY MAN WEST

We were left dangling at the end a tad not so much a cliffy just an intro for Kennedy's book.
So now the wait is on for Kennedy's book and I'm hoping it's not too long I need my next fix and sooner rather than later.

All I'm gonna say if you loved the darkness series you will definitely love West so READ this book !!!!!

Another fabulous 5* read for me !!!!!

I Love the way the author portrays the "need" between characters, but the build up takes a while.... the story is mainly about Rez and West and overcoming their past's..... It did have a loose story to it, but it all seems very set up... a cottage next to the sea in Ireland....

Convenient characters just pop up (Tarot reader, waitress, mermaid mum) just to tell them they are in love, then we hear nothing else about them.

I did like these books alot and i will carry them on, on the spin off series, maybe in a year or so, the author repeatedly writes similar scenarios with the same players, which Isn't bad but its not riveting either... I end up skimming alot. A amazing thing the author could have played on alot to freshen up West from the Darkness series was that the two worlds have collided now, but apart from west's bike and some turbulence nothing seems different.

Ok 3 stars not bad but not great either.

I’ll admit, I skimmed this book a bit.

The Darkness series is awesome. West is a great character. Did I need him to have his own book? No. Was I for it? Sure. My issue became when I read the first 4 main books and had to break to read ARCs, then came back to this. Since the series is “done”, my head has moved on from this series and characters. So getting back into it was weird.

Overall, it’s a good story. Very cute build between Rez and West. Again, did I need this book? Not really. I enjoyed the different side of Lars we get to see at the end, because I feel like earlier books said what he’s like but Ember and Eli never got the full impact of them. Insight into what West went through during his captivity during the other books is meaningful though.

It’s a lot of book though for the story and I think if this was a novella (therefore a quicker read), it’d be an easy 5 stars.

I feel like this book was needed to be listened to to understand the series as usual but I was actually expecting more from west.

I loved that we hear a tiny bit from ember and her mate, the other night dwellers and the pixies.

I really wish at least one of this series was on KU so I could afford to listen to the whole series quicker but alas they are all pay as you go plus my audio addiction (preferred way of reading)

3 star listen
I’m really wanting to start savage lands but it seems like I won’t understand it without starting the lightness saga.

Once again, another great read by Stacey Marie Brown.

I fell in love with West Moseley when he was first introduced in the Darkness series. I loved his brashness and his take on life. Brown didn’t disappoint me with this book all about the man. The tortures he faced under Aneira would have completely broken most fae. Somehow this Dark Dweller survived it, but the scars it left behind.

Brown writing in a complete male POV, no back and forth POVs from different characters, was excellent. She handled the male viewpoint so well at times I wondered who she interviewed for the perspective. Not once did West come off as possibly crafted by a female writer. Excellent job (I'm envious)!

I loved the character of Rez. I won’t give anything away here, but I’ll let you know she is incredible. The woman is a perfect match to West. She has a past full of turmoil, but you’d never know it. Rez is classy, dignified, and a bit of a control freak. She has a way of shining a light on West’s darkness and helps him learn to deal with it. I appreciated knowing that such a put together woman, on the outside, has her own rough edges.

Thanks, Brown for sneaking Ember and Eli back into the story! Brown is segueing into another series here. Great characters, great plot… I can’t wait for the next book.

If you’re a reader who doesn’t read acknowledgements, change that habit. I loved the ones from Brown. She’s a constant inspiration for those of who write!

It took me forever to read WEST just because I didn't have time. Am I mad I waited? Yes and No. Yes, because it was so damn good, and No because The Crown of Light released right after I finished.

West was more than a surprise. The charming, "southern" talking Dark Dweller didn't spend a lot of time with us in the Darkness Series, because of situations, but this story picks up after the war.

What I wasn't expecting in this story...everything. It was all a WTF and I-AINT-SEE-THAT-COMING moments. None of it. Well, maybe one part, but nothing else was on my radar. I loved it. I loved that I learned Rez's backstory. I really had no idea what a Siren was until I read this book. Shameful, I know. West's character is dark, and angry, and he has a right to be. He hides behind a mask, and in this story, we learn of the torment of his past and why he's built a wall. Rez, is sent with West on a journey to recover an artifact for Lars, and yeah...Nothing left to be said except Lars is scary...

Everyone knows that the entire series is my favorite of all times. I am so excited about how the secondary characters were given a backstory and that the Darkness/Collector Series didn't end there. There seems to be so much to tell, and I know at some point it will end. But as of now, I'm enjoying and lapping up all I can from the very talented SMB!

When I say "Take Me West," I don't mean a direction... This book, even by Stacey Marie Brown standards, is quite the sizzle! Don't get me wrong, there's adventure and action, fantastical creatures and of course a lot of emotional baggage from their pasts that West and his travel companion Rez (both introduced in the Darkness series) struggle with every day, but the attraction and tension between the King's minion and his mistress wouldn't let me put the book down. I was a little surprised at the many explicit scenes versus a seemingly short climactic action scene from this author, but as with the author's other work (her complex characters is one of the reasons I devour each of her releases ASAP), this book is more concerned with matters of the heart than the actual quest that simply exposes it, less about West's physical prowess and more focused around the growth of his emotional strength and his internal acceptance. I also really enjoyed all the little allusions to the Collectors Series, connecting the authors' work and building one tantalizing Fae world that I wish I could portal into, even with all its tests and dangers. Especially if West is there!

Stacy is a true story teller. All I can say is wow! It was like opening a door to old friends. West.. Oh-my-goooodness is that man sexy as hell! The chemistry between West and Rez is so super steamy and that hotel scene was scorching (believe me you will know when you get to it). I loved that Eli and Ember were back too! Super excited that this is just the beginning of West's story and wait for more.

There is a reason why some spinoffs won't work. When an author takes a beloved sidekick and tries to give them a separate story, my first question is, do they have main character energy?
Is there a presence so strong, that you could write a standalone about them, that would work even without previous books?
West was a great addition, but I won't lie. First-person narration robbed him immensely of his charm.
Something was missing for me in the story and in the romance. I couldn't really get existed for West and Rez. Instead of banter, we got a lot of deep talks, support, and understanding mixed with guilt. It felt more like he hooked up with his therapist. Yikes.
Where is entertainment in reading about relationships with no tension? At least I didn't feel it. Until the few last chapters book was quite boring really.
Plot... it was only there to propel forward the relationship. I couldn't really care when clearly everything happened only to make them defend each other or to bare their souls to each other. It shouldn't be obvious to the point where the reader dissociates from the story.

The fact that there were no other characters, no world building showing us the aftermath of barrier destruction only solidifies the impression of story being underdeveloped.

There is also another aspect that bothers me.

I also wasn't feeling the narrator. Some men just can't make female voices. Every female character sounds the same, like some flimsy dolly. When for Rez it was bearable, Amber with this voice just made me cringe 😬

And the worst part, spice wasn't even that good 😒

Kikka - per RFS
.

This was a good book, but not quite as exciting as I was expecting. I loved West and I liked Rez, but I honestly don't know how I feel about them as a couple. They just never really seemed to be on the same page because of the different ways they live. I did like how everything went though and the new elements that the two of them had to deal with.

We knew that West suffered greatly during his time as prisoner on the light side. But here we learn exactly some of the horrific things that happened to him, and also that his extended stay there has trapped his beast inside of his human side. He's having a VERY hard time with things back with his brothers, but he covers it all up behind his mask of humor and arrogance. With the dwellers now working with Lars, West comes into contact with Rez on occasion and she becomes someone he desires greatly. Unfortunately for him, she is also Lars's mistress. Making her off limits. Which West could deal with...up until the point he is shoved together with her on mission.

We hadn't learned too much of Rez before, but we do now. One thing has me excitedly curious: . She had a surprisingly terrible past, and it was Lars that saved her. She's loved him longer than they have been together even though she knows his heart has always belonged to another. She's refined, smart, and loves her lists. Quite the asset to be sure. She rarely goes out, but for this mission she's the best person to go with West.

Lars has tasked them to go and find the Spear of Lugh, one of the Treasures of Tuatha De Danann. He promises West that if he comes back with it, he will do anything within his powers to help him be able to shift again. Something that West desperately wants back. As for Rez, I think she goes to prove that she is just as able as everyone else. It is definitely an interesting pair up. Things don't go very smoothly for them right from the start, but they have no choice to keep pushing on. They not only have little information to go on, they have to deal with kidnappers, witches, giants, and the growing attraction between them. Which seems to be the hardest thing for West to control.

It was believable how the two of them were able to obtain the spear, but what frustrated me was how they thought that Lars would never find out what happened between them. You ignored his calls for days! What did you think would happen!? I did absolutely love what happened when he got there, and how he dealt with this betrayal.

Judging by how I think this fits into the timeline on the whole, I think Lars now has three of the Treasures. Including the Stone of Fal he got at the end of the Collector series. I really want him to get all four because I can't wait to see what he'll do with them.

There was one thing that West mentioned that has me racking my brain back to Ember's story. He said he has his doubts that Lars is her uncle and more like he's her dad. I can't remember everything we were told about the two of them, but if this is true I sure hope we find out in Lars's book. Either way, I love how he clearly favors Ember.

For a while I struggled with the previous 4 books and wondered if it was the writing style or just the characters. I can now safely say it was the characters.

West and Rez are everything I wanted. I prefer them way more than Eli and Ember because these 2 actually seem to have chemistry.

West has always been that happy go lucky guy, or at least that's what he showed the world. After being held captive by Aneira he has been showing the world what he wants them to see and that's him forcing that happy demeanor he had in spades before. He has lost a part of him that he believes defines him and won't risk others because of it.

Rez, a siren and Lars' mistress, has been sent on mission with West even after he begged Lars to not let her go. He was already tempted by her and didn't want her around and risk angering the King. She holds herself carefully and structured and West is the complete opposite of that. She can appreciate him but will hold her ground and make him see her worth when all he does is try to shut it down.

The tension between the two is palpable but believable. They both have their demons and they both understand the other. They really do balance each other out but both try to fight it because they know what they risk and who they'd anger.

Together they make a great team and find the thing that Lars wants most. They face dangers to get to it but they have each others backs, even while fighting their attraction they know they need each other.

When they finally cave to each other you are left wondering if they will come out the winners at the end. The way that situation was handled was well written and spoke to the authors ability to make them suffer the consequences but still come out on top. I think this one is easily my favorite book in this series!

Non so.

Davvero non so.

I love Stacey Marie Brown, but I have to admit, this one just was not it for me. I wasn’t eager to pick it up in the first place—I had a feeling I wouldn’t be into it since the Darkness series felt like it had wrapped up nicely. Still, I pushed through, being the loyal fan that I am, ignoring my instincts like a teenager in love.

West’s POV was a major letdown for me. He came off as whiny, egotistical, and overly reactive and was basically an out-of-control horn dog for the most part. I get that Dark Dwellers are primal and hyper-sexual, but it was just TOO much. Even the parts of the story that dealt with his traumas felt superficial. Big things happened, like they always do in these books, but it all felt unnecessary and a bit forced.

On the bright side, I absolutely loved Rez. Her character kept me going and I was happy to learn more about her arc. She’s such a badass—emotionally mature, sexy as hell, and an all-around powerhouse of a siren.

This storyline also may have “shifted” my perspective on Lars. I was a huge fan before, and while he did seem to be lenient for a Demon King, I still thought his actions were quite brutal and harsh—especially for someone claiming to love Rez. Seems like the setup is there for him to redeem himself and reverse some of the punishments he dished out, so I’m not dwelling in the dark about it 😉

I’m still not entirely sure how this ties into the other series. SMB labeled this as a “must-read” for future books, and I really hope that holds true. Otherwise, I could’ve skipped this one entirely and been just fine, which is honestly painful to admit.

West is Wickedly Delightful …

It’s been a while since I visited the Darkness series and oh … how I have missed these characters. So, for readers that have not read the series from beginning to West then that is an absolute must, don’t be putting the cart before the horse. Go check out Darkness of Light, book one in the series.

Now that is out of the way, West's story had to be told and I’m so glad that it was. It just put another layer on the already complex characters and the world that Stacey has so wonderfully created. Once I got started the book was difficult to put down.

So, on to my likes and dislikes: Who am I kidding, there were no dislikes, none whatsoever. I loved West’s character, I knew that getting to know him in his own book would have me melting into a puddle of goo with his southern drawl, charm, and good looks. But there is more to West that all the superficial bull, he’s complex, he’s been through hell and back again and lived to tell about it. From the previous books in the series, we all know that West has a lot of healing to do, but before he can put his past behind him, the Unseelie King, Lars, sends him on a quest with the one woman in the world that can see past his BS, Rez. The two make quite the pair as secrets are revealed and lost artifacts are sought after.

This is a great read, but I would caution no young readers due to mature content. These two characters are raw, and both have led a rather checked past, but that is their story to tell and not mine. Hope you enjoy. Happy reading!

As I worked my way through the first 4 book of this series, I saw in other reviews that a lot of people got excited when they learned that West would be getting his own book; it seemed like he was a fan-favorite.

I just have to say, besides being the guy locked in the dungeon for a large part of the series, I couldn’t for the life of me remember where or when he had actually been introduced! So jumping into this book, I was hoping to learn more about him, and why he is so loved.

Let me just tell you, this book turned out to be my favorite of the series. Maybe it’s because there’s a fresh couple, a fresh setting, or maybe I just really enjoyed these characters.

Both West and Rez have experienced extreme trauma in their past, and both are dealing with it in different ways.

I loved coming along on the adventure, and also witnessing these two characters getting to know one another, and growing closer as the book progressed. The epilogue introduced a new quest for our MMC, so hopefully this isn’t the last we see of West.

I’ve been listening to these on audiobook, and I missed mentioning how much I enjoyed Michelle Sparks on the last 4 books. I thought she did a great job, especially with the pixies.

Since the POV switched to West for this one, we also got a new narrator: Aaron Shedlock. I though he did an admirable job with both southern and irish accents and ALMOST pronounced Aisling right! (That was one thing that bothered me over the last 4 books; it was pronounced incorrectly each time it was mentioned! But that’s just because i’m a snob! 😘)

I started this world in Savage Lands. Then I discovered there was a hell of a lot of back story I missed out on. I pushed it off for a while. Did not think the others could live up to the hype and from what I read it was like, you can totally live a content existence just reading this series. I went back and the others, so far, have been great. Not AS good as savage, in my very humble opinion, but decent. I think some of the others get stagnant in parts. No real forward progression but overall good. Savage was just amazing, really in love with that story telling…… I digress lol

West was okay. It’s definitely a side piece of a book. You aren’t going to love it but it’s a good enough lay to stick around for. It was a bridger story that was needed but….. im not in love with ever reading from a male POV, especially when written by a chick. It always tends to lean a little feminine, EVEN if that is not the intent. I have been much more interested in getting into the head of Rez this whole time but looks like that will never be now. Only get to look at her through the eyes of West, which is OKAY but let me down.

If you’ve made it to West, im guessing you are neck deep into this fantastical world and nothing could drag you out again. This one off won’t spoil the next series for me, so onward I trudge because I hear a pirate….. “cough” tradesman, is having his story written as I type this and I’m a little anxious to get to that. Kennedy first though!

West - Stacey Marie Brown
Darkness Series book 5
Narrated By: Aaron Shedlock

Narrator Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Aaron did a perfect job and a perfect southern accent to narrate these characters. His pacing and tone were perfect also.

My Review:
My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Pages: 399
Genre: Fantasy
Tropes:

🧜‍♀️Forced proximity
🧜‍♀️Friends To Lovers
🧜‍♀️Touch Her and
🧜‍♀️He falls First
🧜‍♀️Forbidden Love

Typical for me I read the first book in the series then the last. I’m so hooked now I need to go back and read the middle three books then move to the Lightness Saga series

The narrators voice and accent truly brought West to life and West’s favorite term of endearment (Darlin) was perfection for a man raised in the South.
That alone had me swooning for West.

Rez…classy, confident, insightful and stunningly beautiful is the perfect partner for West. I loved her character. She stood by West through thick and thin.

West is a dark dweller and Rez is a siren.
I’m not going to give spoilers. You definitely need to read this series!

Book 1 - Darkness of Light
Book 2 - Fire In The Darkness
Book 3 - Dwellers Of Darkness
Book 4 - Blood Beyond Darkness
Book 5 - West

Now go grab you a book and fall in love with @staceymariebrown and her books.

Well after meeting West in the Darkness Series I knew I was going to love his book.

This book is another brilliant tale from Stacey of action, adventure, mythical creatures and a hell of a lot of sexual tension and emotional baggage from West and his companion Rez. You have met them both in the Darkness series

There are a lot of references to the characters in Stacey's Collectors Series, which I am now going to go and check out.

I loved West, you get to see his vulnerable side and you find out what really happened to him when he was being held by the Seelie Queen. My heart really did break for him. You want him to have time to heal but you know that is not going to happen when he is called upon by the Unseelie King Lars.

You are left dangling slightly at the end as this leads into Kennedy's story and the Lightness Saga which I am happy I can start straight away on.

Stacey Marie Brown is definitely an author that is on my 1-click list. She weaves brilliant tales that have you completely hooked from start to finish with amazing characters you cant help but love or hate (in a good they are evil baddies way).

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review from the author and The Next Step PR
