This is quite possibly the dirtiest, most depraved, and most offensive novel you’ve ever read. You should not read this book.
In his groundbreaking debut novel, author Chad T. Cocker artfully blends fiction and non-fiction to tell the story of a powerful, yet private man and his relationships with the women in his life. Beginning more than a decade in the past and ending in the present day, Memoirs of a Misogynist brings the reader on an erotic roller-coaster ride filled with sadism, domination, bondage, and even…love.
Don’t miss out on one of the most controversial books of our time; the unforgettable novel that will trigger feminists, arouse both men and women alike, and stay in the reader’s mind for weeks after the last chapter is finished.
It is definitely the most depraved book I ever read. I felt bad reading about 3 part of it. Then I started thinking and it seemed like the book affected me too much. Thank god, in the end, about 4am this morning, I realized that even though the protagonist might be right, it is still not for me. I'm not a feminist. I want more rights for women, but I wouldn't want it all to be equal. I'm old-fashioned and like when men have the reins, but it doesn't mean domination and depraved treatment, like in the book. I was so disgusted. There were definitely sexy moments, but to tell the truth, they were awful in itself. And I would never want to be treated like that. Even if the protagonist is right, even with his mother being like that, that doesn't make all women alike. I can't agree with a point of view, that is one-sided. We can't just take one side or the other anymore. It's not women against men. It should be a collaboration. Not necessity in haven, therefore physical and emotional abuse. I don't think this is "an erotic novel for men". Maybe some people understand things like that, but why does the author generalize it like that? For women - rich, kinky, hot Grey. For men - submissive, oppressed, degraded women? Is this what Chad Cocker implies? I don't agree. And even though I generally liked the book, I don't agree that this is how the world works.
