Being a Prince may be my f*cking duty, but there’s no way in hell I’m living in the stuffy castle. I prefer my cabin in the woods, the one I built with my own two hands. The time has come for my arranged marriage. Hell, there are worse things than having a woman in my bed every night. Regardless of who this Princess is, I’m not changing my ways. But then Iris shows up with ultimatums and a perfect p*ssy. One of us has gotta give.
PRINCESS IRIS
I leave home with optimism … somehow I’ve got to make this work. So what if this Prince has a reputation for being a royal ass? It’s still an adventure — which is all I’ve ever wanted. Garrick is ruggedly handsome and our chemistry is undeniable. I want to give him all of me. And I do. Our wedding night is hotter than the island country I come from. But the rumors are true…. He’s more than a jerk; he’s stubborn as hell. But I have a plan to change his cocky ways. He just has to agree to it. Wish me luck,

Charmed By The Mountain Prince is book two in The Mountain Prince series by Frankie Love.
In this book we get to meet the middle sister of the three sisters from Elexia. Their beautiful little tropical country is going bankrupt. Their father has arranged marriages for each of his three daughters with large dowries to get their county out of financial trouble. Iris is the middle daughter. From a little girl, Iris dreamed of leaving Elexia and having an adventure, exploring the world. So when their father told them they would be leaving their home and moving to a new country, she was excited. She finally would get to see the world. But things for Iris might not have gone quite the way she might have dreamed of.
Prince Garrick of Alpinweiss has a reputation for being a recluse. There isn’t even a picture of him on the internet. Garrick wants nothing to do with all the pomp and circumstance of living in the castle and hob nobbing with dignitaries. He lives in the woods in a one room shack… I mean cabin, that has no electricity, no hot water, no conveniences of modern society what-so-ever. He loves living in the woods and walks into the nearby village often to drink a beer with the villagers or help out a fellow farmer. His parents have been trying to get him to choose a wife for some time and he turns down every prospect they present to him. So this time, they chose for him. The deal is done when they tell him about it.
Garrick and Iris are both surprised when they first see each other. There is that spark that can’t be denied. And the wedding kiss was a definite promise of things to come. Garrick just wants to take Iris back to his little cabin and consummate their vows and let her see where she will be living. Iris, though, has other ideas. So begins the first of their disagreements. Iris most definitely does not hold back and tells Garrick exactly what’s on her mind. For Garrick, though, I think this was a good thing. He needed someone to stand up to him and tell it like it is. There is one area, though, where there is no disagreement. And that is how their bodies react to one another.
“Her lips are soft against mine, and I’m reminded of just how many ways we’re opposing forces. Her sweet to my bitter, her soft to my hard. Her smiles to my frown.”
So, at first I was going to rate this one 3.5. I had a hard time with Garrick. He was not willing to take into consideration what-so-ever what sort of an impact his way of life would have on his new bride. And don’t even get me started on his behavior the day after their wedding. But, he did redeem himself in my eyes and I thought the ending was adorable.
I’m particularly excited about the last book in this series, the youngest of the three girls, Princess Dahlia. She’s the quietest and we know very little about her and her story sounds so adorable in Crowned By The Mountain Prince. Both of her sisters have found love. Will she be so lucky?
“She’s mine. I’m hers. Our adventure has just begun.”
Prince Garrick & Princess Iris are to have an arranged marriage however Prince Garrick is not your normal prince. This ravishing written novel is very well written and developed with no plot holes. The character's are sexy, engaging & realistic with real emotions and flaws. This novel is sweet, romantic, sexy, & humor & a bit of adventure. I highly recommend reading this novel as you will not be disappointed. I am so looking forward to reading to reading the next stand alone novel Crowned by the Mountain Prince - Lucas & Dahlia. I voluntarly reviewed an advanced reading copy.
This is the second book in the Arranged Marriage Romance series by Frankie Love. I am loving this series even more than her Modern Mail-Order Bride series and I loved that. I love the whole marry someone you never met before thing and this series does it right. Iris is 22 years old, the second oldest of three girls, and she's the Princess of a tropical island called Elexia. Unlike her sister, Violet, Iris does not love her island paradise, she has dreams of seeing the world and having adventures. Her island is in dire financial trouble and her Father, the King has a solution to get much needed money for their island. He has three daughters and he plans to marry them off to wealthy Princes in exchange for a hefty dowry. Iris is more than happy to leave the island and marry a stranger so her actual life can really begin. Garrick is Prince of Alpinweiss, a snowy country in the mountains. The town where the castle is located is a small historic town and Garrick lives in a one room cabin that he built himself with no electricity and no hot water. He is a recluse, choosing to stay in his cabin in the middle of the woods, when he does leave he prefers to spend time with the locals instead of being at the castle. Iris is very open minded and all about adventure but even she wants to cry when she sees the cabin she will call home. I liked both characters a lot although they were both a little immature and very stubborn but they came together in the end.
Couldn't really get into this one. The Prince was a major d*ck and I could not get into his character. Of course by the end he changed his ways and one a few brownie points with me but not enough. The main focus was his cabin in the woods and sex. Didn't really feel a connection between the two besides a physical one. By the end everything turned out well though.
This was definitely a great read. Iris is a princess and needs a prince. With a huge dowry she is promised to Garrick who lives in a one room cabin not castle. Not what she was expecting but it turned out to be hotter than she expected. A very steamy book that was a delightful read and looking forward to reading the rest of this series

"Charmed By The Mountain Man" The Mountain Prince #2 is by author Frankie Love. Published: October 13, 2016 My Rating: 4 Stars!!!
The second book in this series features Prince Garrick and Princess Iris.
Iris is the second of her sisters headed to a far away mountain kingdom where an arranged marriage awaits her. Truthfully, Iris was looking forward to i, unlike her sisters. For as long as she could imagine, Iris wanted an adventure. For her a betrothal to a mountain prince is as close as she'll ever get to one.
Iris's father, the king, unintentionally let his kingdom fall to near financial ruin. Because of this, Iris and her sisters far from lived the stereotypical luxurious life of a princess. So yes, Iris was justified in looking forward to living a life of wealth in a castle with servants, cooks, and other staff to see to her needs. However, disappointed in the reality, she discovered her new life was to be far from her dreams. Her awaiting prince was not at all what she was expecting. Yes he was gorgeous. Unfortunately he was arrogant, inconsiderate and pigheaded.
Garrick is heir to the throne. As prince he should have been more involved with royal business. There were duties expected of him but he didn't want anything to do with it. Garrick was happy to live in his small cabin in the woods aways from the castle. A cabin that he built himself. A cabin with no hot water or electricity; basically not meant for the 21st century. Not meant for a princess and definitely not meant for Iris. And did Garrick even consider his new bride when she asked for simple changes?
What do you think?
Most importantly, what did Iris think?
This was a sweet story. Iris was great. She was kind and considerate; non demanding. Garrick needed some work. He was very lucky to be blessed with having Iris in his life. Garrick started off being very annoyed with his parents for arranging a marriage without his consent. He only went along with it because he knew he had to. It was expected of him. However, he was not intending to change his ways for his princess. If his new bride couldn't deal with his way of life...well then that would be her problem.. Of course Garrick quickly changed his way of thinking. He realized pretty quickly how amazing Iris was and he would do anything to make her happy. Garrick was a sexy brute and I loved him.
This was another fun, steamy, sexy, super short story. Of course Frankie Love knows how much we love her grumpy, dirty talking mountain men.
This wasn't a bad book but it was too much like her other Mountain man books. girl come expexts more. ( nuce house welcoming man)boy lives in one room cabin tells her I'm not changing, then treats her like she asking for too much. Then he chages for her in the end. Not bad, but I feel like I read it already 2.5 stars
It was good. I still loved Violets book better. These two were fighting alot, but of course that makes for good making up..but Garrick was a douche thru most of the book. Nobody thinks of these girls? That they are young and innocent, never away from home and they don't even have their family with them when they are marrying these jerks. And these princes never think to cut them some slack? Ugh. These princesses are just supposed to shut up and take it. It's a bit frustrating. It's like Garrick wanted to do whatever he could to push her buttons. No big welcome for her. No big wedding. Walking everywhere, didn't care she comes from a warmer place and was in sandals and a thin dress, no electricity, no hot water, who cares if you can't blow dry your hair in my snowy cold mountain cabin, and no wedding reception or honeymoon. Jerk. But oh yeah he's going to consummate the marriage and get what he wants right? Ew.
Anyway, obviously not one of my favorite mountain man\Frankie love stories, but I loved the HEA that iris finally gets. Loved that Hunter and Violet were giving her advice over the phone to seduce him to get what she wants.
DISCLAIMER: I read an e-ARC of this book and am voluntarily choosing to leave a review.
Who doesn't wish they were a princess? Well, I think Iris would almost care less if she were a princess, if it meant she could leave Elexia. Her dream kind of comes true when her father sets her up with an arranged marriage.
I think what was best about this book was the instant attraction between the two characters. I haven't read the book prior to this one, involving the first princess' marriage to Hunter, but being able to meet them briefly in this story was super funny. The advice Hunter gives Iris just made my day. This is definitely something to read when you're having a moody kind of day. Super quickie read. I read it in one sitting. Author's writing; addictive.
I wish that the story was longer, but it was cute. Iris is strong and confident. She did think about acting childishly for a moment, but who hasn't when a big shock come upon many huge life changes? She handled her predicament very well and tried to work with her prince instead of against him at the end. Garrick is stubborn and is ready for her to attack his choices in life since he has to fight about them with his parents all the time. He learns that Iris wasn't attacking his life, but asking for a compromise and making life just a little bit easier. Cute story, cute couple. I'm waiting anxiously for the next story.
I honestly would've hated Garrick if he wasn't so damn clueless! He truly had no idea how to deal with any females and I guess that made sense considering he was such a loner. Iris first came off as shallow and almost too much of an air head but I think underneath she was just someone that felt stifled by her life and just wanted to be free. Free of responsibilities and free to explore so an arranged marriage was the perfect solution for her. It was nice to see her so positive and to not give up on Garrick.
I liked this coup!e. They were opposites at first, each had to find a way past their issues and compromise. Why are mountain men always asses at the start? That's part of the conflict in being with one, just like billionaires and playboys too. Garrick had to get out of his own way and see reason. This is a really cute quick read. Definitely worth an hour or your time.
Wth the prince is a jerk who lives in a shack without hot water or electricity!? And he expect that his wife/princess will be fine living in that hole? At first, he finds her unreasonable to want a fridge and electricity? At least he grovels at the end,but he was such an ahole. On the other hand, I found funny the modern reference to pop culture (Netflix, Instagram, selfie stick, fifthy shades...)
Iris is expecting the traditional royal wedding and life style when she leaves her impoverished kingdom, she gets Garrick, the mountain prince who lives in a one room shack but he is also a man of the people and makes her feel so much. If they ate going to work they both need to compromise in this fun read.
Frankie Love knows how to get to the heart of the matter, but sometimes it takes her characters awhile. Once Garrick learns to compromise, the road to there HEA is a lot smoother.
I loved this second installment of these sweet sisters and their mountain Princes. I loved Iris and Garrick. They were perfect for each other. It had the right amount of angst, love and heat.
This was spicy and gave me kinda like miscommunication to love vibes. This was short and sweet and of course had an HEA. Got me very excited for the next book in the series.
Garrick is a sexy, reclusive mountain Prince who agreed to an arranged marriage to get his parents off his back. Iris is the princess of a bankrupt kingdom who has been stuck on an island all her life. She has a free-spirit who wants to experience adventure and everything life has to offer. She thinks marrying off to some mountain Prince is all the adventure she could want. What she didn't expect is a cabin in the middle of the woods with a Prince who's not the nicest, but he is hot. There's chemistry between them and things just might work out for the best, if only she can get him to cave and give her what she wants. Things get really heat up between them and the HEA is very romantic. I voluntarily reviewed an advance copy of this book.
Iris wants an adventure and is happily embracing her father's plans for an arranged marriage. Prince Garrick doesn't want to be married or have any of the responsibilities of the crown. Once they meet they can't deny the attraction and connection they feel. They must both learn the need to compromise to make this marriage work. A story filled with stubbornness, love, passion, compromise, and the perfect match! Can't wait for the next one!
The second book in this series and I still think is romantic, funny, sweet and hot *wink*
Iris, the second Elexia Princess is anxious to meet her Prince Charming and get married already. Only one problem, her Prince hates the spotlight, very different to her that is wanting to experience the Royal Balls, and doesn’t really wanted to marry her.
Garrick is very angry because his parents set him up to marry someone. He wants to keep on living on the mountains and helping the people of his country. He hates the idea of spending time inside the castle, exchanging pleasantry with people that are just there for show of power and wealth.
The relationship between this two starts with bumpy rides. The way he has been living all his life is not exactly mixing well with his new wife, and he finds himself wanting to make her happy more than he wants to keep his cabin in the woods.
Iris didn’t know what to expect when she moved to marry, since her father arrange this so Elixia could have more money and survive as a country. She was NOT expecting to have to live in a small caving in the middle of nowhere, without electricity, hot water or even a fridge.
Frankie Love made the story of this two more relatable than the first book on this series, in my opinion. Why? Because there was insta-lust but the love was a slow built, sorting through the problems that came their way. It was not easy for neither of them but they maid it, together.
Let me tell you. Hunter’s advice to Iris was just pure genius. I laugh a lot because of that little piece of information. I’m glad that he was able to give her that advice though.
To put something else. In the previous book I really disliked Iris’s father. In this book, I really disliked Garrick’s parents. Can two people be more incapable of looking beyond their noses? I mean, come on! They married their only son and they don’t care about anything else than having a heir, and showing him off with his new wife on a party? I think they didn’t care about the people like Garrick did and that was what pissed me off about them the most.
I was excited to read this book since it is book 2 of An Arranged Marriage series.
Iris is the second oldest daughter of the King of Elexia and a Princess, whose father has arranged for her to marry a Prince in exchange for a double dowry in hopes of saving his country from total bankruptcy. Prince Garrick is not at all happy about marriage but with a lot of pressure from the King and Queen of Alpinweiss he agrees to the arranged marriage.
Iris is basically devastated when she steps of the charter plane onto basically a bare field. She is met by the King and Queen in a horse drawn carriage and taken directly to the wedding chapel.
Garrick is late getting to the wedding chapel but he is so cocky and sure of himself that it doesn't even bother him.
Iris is drawn to his rugged handsome features and Garrick is simply awed by Iris' beauty but there is no denying the chemistry that is instantly noticeable by both party's.
I found this book exciting to read just wondering what each would do to win the other over as it was apparent they were meant to be together. She is spunky and he is stubborn so they must reach an agreement that will work for both in order for this to work.
This book was sexy, witty and fun to read. The romance was steamy but not overly done.
I recommend this book to anyone who loves romance and especially loves Frankie Love books, I know I sure do. Thank you for allowing me to once again enjoy one of your mind's creations and I look forward to book 3 in this series
