Until Ava comes along and shows him how, against all logic, the pain can make them whole again.

"My demons love your demons like crazy. They just needed each other, the same way I need you."
I could swoon like crazy all day with this book! Such a fantastic, cute novel that I will gladly read again and again. First off, I was instantly hooked the moment I set my eyes off its beautiful cover where a guy and a girl sit across from each other while the spirit-like objects above them are hugging. Wow! COVERGASM. Secondly, I loved the premise. It has an air of mystery which really puts a reader into an i-want-to-read-it-now mode. And that's what happened to me exactly. Little did I know that I was really in for a ride!
Our demons, best friends is a New Adult Romance Contemporary book about two medical residents namely Sebastian and Ava who met in the same hospital. Their relationship started off as being strangers which later on turned into friendship and then so much more. Basically this book features a simple plot that everyone can truly enjoy-- even teenagers. It's a clean romance that highlights a wholesome romantic plot.
A lot of things made me really love this book. One of them is the humor and the entertainment factor that the author didn't fail to bring out in this book. And while it's enriched with funny and witty dialogues (especially Ava's hilarious POV), the emotional and romantic aspect of the book were successfully inflicted and it just made everything *sigh PERFECT.
I especially love Ava's character. She's funny and always on the go. Yes, she carries emotional baggage with her but I love how she handles everything and basically just chills with her group of friends. Sebastian's character is also amazing. I mean, he's a hot, swoon-worthy guy (His character actually reminds me of those gorgeous physicians and surgeons I work with in the hospital LOL. XD) And I love his gentle personality behind his rugged features and how he cares for Ava. *swoons! Ava and Sebastian's relationship development was also perfectly remarkable and genuine and not hurried or even dragged on. Their love story simply makes me smile and sigh. And of course-- the playlist! I love the songs being featured here and the lyrics behind them. :)
I most certainly was not disappointed with this book as my expectations were met right even when I was still at the beginning chapters. I only have a tiny issue with some of the unedited/uncorrected words/spellings/grammars on some parts, though. But they're just minors and can easily be ignored so it's not really a big deal.
Overall, I enjoyed this book immensely. It made me laugh and cry and everything! If you fancy cute, romantic, and light NA stories, this book is a real treat. It's beautifully written and totally engaging. Plus, the characters are all wonderful, so that perfectly seals everything. :) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

This is surprisingly a warm and comforting read. I’ve been postponing this for so long because I was worried to read about another angsty NA novel because of the vibes coming through from the title and the cover. I mean the artwork in the cover is gorgeous but it seems like a threat to the emotions. I was very happy that the book wasn’t what I expected at all.
Though both characters, Ava and Sebastian carry with them a troubled, tragic past, they bear it with reason and grace, especially Ava whose character I admire very much.
“For now, I was willing to accept him in my life in any way possible. If a relationship wasn’t what he wanted, I would take his friendship without feeling shorted in the slightest. I just needed him in my life.”
“It was my turn to be looked after. Even if it was by myself.”
She knows herself very well and knows when to move on. Her friendship with her colleagues is also very sweet and adorable. The concept of the story is kind of like that of Grey’s Anatomy except Our Demons, Best Friends is without the angst, the nasty, the melodrama and major characters’ deaths.(Ha, take that Shonda Rimes!). This is actually a very wholesome NA read and I’m very pleased. The title could have been less cheesy though. Lol.

But soon Ava's friendly gestures towards Sebastian brings him close to her and eventually they become really good friends to even deeper than that. Here both Ava and Sebastian fight their battles with loss every day. So how can their pain collide and fall for one another? For that you need to read the book!!
Firstly let's just take a moment and admire that beautiful and such an unique book cover which justifies the story completely. Well, honestly speaking, I've not read such an emotional contemporary love story in a very long time. Nowadays the qualities of contemporary romance has degraded as it highlights either too much sex or too much fight or very less emotion. But this particular author has bring back quality, value and depth in regards of romantic emotions in her contemporary love story. And for that I'd like to applaud her. **claps....**
The writing quality of the author is exquisite and something that is easy to comprehend with. The narrative style is simple and free-flowing and at times inspired by humor. The story line not only features a love story but also friendship among the interns who joined along with Ava in that hospital. The story is so addictive that it kept me glued till the very end. And not mention how the author have poured all her emotions into this story while writing it, hence it feels like something that came straight out of the heart. The love story blossoms in a medium pace, there is no rush to it.
The characters are the best part of this book which are all developed with lots of realism in their demeanor. Ava is sweet, independent and at times a funny and charming girl who loves to read a lot, but she also has a dark and broken side which she keeps hidden inside herself. Sebastian, on the other hand, is a not so friendly guy, does not hang out with his fellow interns or does not smile too often, he likes to be alone as his pain is very evident from his demeanor. Rest of the characters like Emily, Miles, Collin etc are too very well-developed and the bond of friendship depicted between all these characters is something very precious. How they non-stop support one another, throw surprise party, hang out, cherish good and worst times are all projected with fun and love.
Now let's come to the gem part of this book, which makes it stand out among the rest- love. Well, in short, if I've to describe then I'd say, that the love made me feel very deeply, not only for the love between Ava and Sebastian, but also for Ava and Sebastian individually. The back stories of both Ava and Sebastian are painted with lots of layers of emotions which has enough sadness, happiness and even shock. Both these characters are explained with so much depth that got under my skin and in the end it became bit difficult for me to let them go. Their love made me shed tears of joy, pain and at times funny sarcastic happiness. And with a climax like that, makes the story even more poignant.
So I'd like to request all the contemporary readers to read this book for sure as it not only syncs perfectly with the right emotions but also jingles perfectly with an equally awesome playlist.
Verdict: Definitely a must read! This book holds no power to disappoint any kind of reader.

The prologue with the unexpected burst of melancholy alone hooked me. Talking about our male protagonist, Sebastian: he is beautiful as hell, is tormented to the bone but is still respectful without being an Alpha douchebag? That's a win-win for me. Dear Seb, I accept you in all your tattooed glory(and can we please not ignore that man bun? #loveatfirstsight). Ava is everything I'd want in a female heroine : feirce but still rational (even with all her emotional baggage.)

There was a scene where secrets were beautifully unraveled, friendship between the two protagonists burgeoned, and the feels hit me so hard that I had to put the book down and let the happy as well as sad tears fall. I loved this book and I highly recommend it.

OMG!!!!

I'm in love with this book. AMAZING I have no words to describe how wonderful and heart warming it is.
This was a big surprise. It's a wonderful love story about two medical residents that have suffered a lot of lost and grieve and when they find each other things are a lot better. And the epilogue is to die for - just so so cute!!
I liked how Diana T. Scott managed to write such amazing story and characters. I didn't hate one of them even if they weren't getting were I wanted it just made sense and it felt real. Sometimes I really get annoyed with characters that are undecided but here their behavior made sense and it was to cute at times.
“I fell in love with you in a blink of an eye, Ava. You represented everything I could ever want and the one thing I was most terrified to ask for. The power of what I was feeling scared me to my very core and made me love you and hate myself for being the wrong man for you”
Ava and Sebastian are both broken souls that need time to heal and they need each other for that. They understand their pain and how to make it better. How to make their demons fall in love. Even with his moments/moods Sebastian has a beautiful heart full of love and friendship to give. In his rare moments he show more than anybody can in a year.
I highly recommend this if you want a good romance that doesn't feel rushed and it's just to cute!

I wasn't sure what to expect with this book and I'm so surprised by how much I loved it!
The story was different from anything else I've read and the characters were so well written.
I was a lot more emotionally invested in this book than I thought I would be. I would
definitely compared Our Demons to any of Colleen Hoover's books and even John Green.
I read this whole book in just a couple of sittings because I couldn't put it down. I don't often find a book that will keep me up late at night so I can finish it, but Our Demons is one of them.

If a Stephanie Perkins book and a Colleen Hoover's hooked up and had a baby it would be ODBF.

I felt the same reading ODBF.
I flied through it, it was a fast read with amazing backstories and unique characters i found it cute, sweet and really funny, it also made me shed a tear or two every few chapters. i was really hooked!
the writing was down right beautiful and i related so much to Ava and my heart broke for Sebastian.
I'm surprised not many people have read it; but you need to pick it up right now, you won't regret it! ♥

First things first, the cover is stunning, and the blurb's truly promising. Thus, I expected a lot
OUR DEMONS, BEST FRIENDS is a simple book that contains deep messages. There were too many insights. Sensitive issues were tackled that even after several hours of reading it, of closing the book, I cannot stop thinking about it.
It was fast-paced. Seems like the author squeezed the story at 308 pages, where in fact, it could be prolonged.
The writing is forthright and pleasing enough, Ms. Scott could do better. The writing style used in this book was plain-vanilla.
The story line is not unique, neither cliché. Scott made it different in terms of the complexity of her characters and the situations they're in. She managed to make it too addictive for her readers mainly because all emotions were poured and it was overflowing.
Like most girls I know, Ava is one who's charming, bubbly, humorous, and sweet outside. Hiding- are her demons. No one will even suspect that they exist within her. Like Sebastian, she has her dark, broken parts. Unlike Ava, Sebastian is actually not a good person when it comes to interacting with people. He has this cold demeanor which some might hate. Underneath those, are pain and struggles from his past. As their souls being united, they grew in, developed, and became better persons.
Though I liked the main characters, there are issues; like Ava who tends to always mention things that has already happened. Full of hindsights. And most of it are irrelevant.
Whilst the book screams pure drama, I liked how Scott maneuvered humor and entertainment in this supposed to be too-heart-wrenching-story.
Still, the story of this book is perfect for fans of Cynthia Hand, Tabitha Suzuma, and Jay Asher.

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review. It's my first time doing one of these, and i must say it was quite exciting to get a book from an author. Our Demons, Best Friends is a contemporary romance written and published by the author herself, Diana T. Scott(thanks for sending me a copy, Diana!). I am rating the book 3.7 stars.
Firstly, i must express my love for the gorgeous cover. It's beautiful! I love the colours used and the illustration of Ava and Sebastian at the front. And the feel of the book is really nice as well. I would definitely be attracted to pick it up if i randomly found it at a bookstore.
The story and plot
This book had a very simple story, in my opinion. It was mostly about two people who are in love with each other, but don't want to be a burden to the other because of all the emotional baggage they carry with them. Both Ava and Sebastian went through a tragic experience in their lives, and one of them is afraid to let the other one in. It had a prologue that turned out to be a scene that happened in the middle of the book, giving a sort of sneak peek to the reader of Ava and Sebastian's relationship later on. This was quite strategic i guess, because the pace was very slow for the first half of the book so I was able to remind myself that it would speed up soon. The slow start disappointed me a little and so I kept my expectations low for the second half. Thankfully, it did get better. Starting from around chapter 10, things got a lot more exciting. In fact, i thought that it got quite emotionally intense and it kept me reading up until i finished the book.
The writing
Ah, i'm afraid this is the main factor why my rating isn't that high. As well as thinking that the first half of the book was slow, I also thought that it was kind of awkward. The book was written in a first-person perspective in Ava's point of view. I'm okay with her character in general, but sometimes I felt like the words that were used in some sentences sounded really off, like someone wouldn't really use the choice of phrases in real life. The same thing goes to most of the dialogue in the book as well. At times it was okay, but at other times it sounded awkward and too formal. Other than that, there were often errors in punctuation and several spelling mistakes. I guess this is quite understandable since it is a self-published book, and could easily be fixed before the next round of printing. I'm not really counting these errors in my rating, but it did make me cringe here and there and prevented me from diving into the story at first. Interestingly though, when i started enjoying the book starting from the second half, the writing was really nice especially during the parts when Ava opened up and talked about her past. That was really good, at one point i felt like shaking because i could feel a part of what she felt. I wish this kind of writing had come from the start. The romance was okay; i didn't love it, but towards the end i did feel a bit bubbly.
The characters
I don't really like Sebastian that much, i'm not sure why. Perhaps he's just not my kind of guy. He has a very reserved personality that reminds me exactly of a person i know(man-bun and all), and honestly i feel terribly awkward around him. It kind of was insta-love because of how immediately different he gets around Ava. I wish he showed his more positive side more slowly, given his personality. Ava was okay, i didn't find her annoying, which is good. Surprisingly though, i think i liked the side characters a lot more. Ava's friends; Miles, Paige and Emily, remind me so much of the Grey's Anatomy squad in the early seasons(George, Izzy, and Christina). The book had the show's vibe at the start, which was quite fun to read. I love their friendships and each of their personalities.
In conclusion, i did enjoy this book. I like that i received more insight about what life is like as a resident in a hospital, and how it may feel like to have to deal with the demons of your past from losing someone you love dearly. I like the message of accepting the baggage that comes along with a person you may want to be with. I like the friendships, and i like that it wasn't sexual or anything(the cover kind of implied that, and so it's quite misleading haha). With more editing to correct the errors and improvement for some parts of the writing, i think a publishing company should really publish a revised copy of this so that more people can get a copy and read it(i dont really know how these things work but what i mean is that this should be in more bookshops). Una historia sencilla sobre unos personajes que han tenido su dosis de sufrimiento en el pasado y se enfrentan a unos sentimientos inesperados. Un flechazo que les traerá de cabeza y muchos miedos por superar todo ello en un ambiente de hospital al más puro estilo Anatomía de Grey porque tanto Ava como Sebastian son residentes.
Una de las mejores cosas, la amistad que surge entre Ava, Emily, Paige y Miles.

First off the cover and the blurb are a fantastic fit for the book. I really loved Ava, she's a hardworker and strives for success. I don't know what it was with Sebastian but I wasn't too crazy about his character. The writing was fantastic, the only thing I felt was a little short was the romance between the two characters, I had hoped for just a tad more of it.

Grey's Anatomy in Paperback
Well for one, the title of the book is definitely is alluring and very captive. When it comes to the rest of the book I wouldn’t say that the book was exactly as thrilling and exciting as the title. But does that mean the book was bad? No absolutely not. For me personally, the book does not exactly promise anything fresh and unheard off but yes the setting is definitely different and hence why I have titled my review Grey's Anatomy in Paperback because its exactly that. Romance in scrubs around hotel corridors.
My complaint with the book is that the author sort of went back on exploring the basic setting a bit. The author tend to sway away from the story with a lot of irrelevant background details and these details are way too much that it is sort of difficult for you to concentrate on the main track. Hence you can imagine what I am pointing at when I am saying, flow isn't exactly smooth flow …. You know…. Because the author is trying to incorporate a lot of details
Lets just for example, the author says that a dinner is being organized…fair enough…. So the author also puts in the description of the dress and hairstyle into it…acceptable…. But do I really need to know when was the last time you brought the dress or what made you buy the dress and other background details on a dress? …well good you told me you are wearing a skirt or dress to the dinner and that it is in a particular color tone but I really don’t want to hear about the birth story of the very yarn that has been used to make the skirt…. Well of course I m using this as figuratively and not that the author is actually narrating the birth story of an yarn… but I hope you get the picture that the author tends to go into flashback and another flashback in that flashback… head spinning yet?
Now comes the next part . Journal nature. The book had the vibe of a gentle and subtle journal. One wrong step and it could have gone on to become a journal. I still feel that the book was a journal of a medical intern recording her gradual journey to romance. The book is way too detailed and mechanical to behave as a fiction. It is more of a record of the character on what she does from the time she wakes up till she goes to bed and meanwhile adding in some exciting things that happened during this course
As such there is nothing bad about the book except for the general flow of the book which is jerky because of the in between self induced breaks it takes to narrate and illuminate details which quite frank is not that important but otherwise the language has a smoothness and ease to it.

Why did I want to read this book so bad? The title. Yup, the title of this book was so different for me. Demons and bestfriends? I want that.
And let me tell you, I was surprised.
"My demons love your demons like crazy, they have just needed each other, the same way I need you. I have a feeling they will be much better behaved from now on."~
Ava is this strong woman -who sometimes made me feel like she's stuck in highschool-, who insisted on her future and wanted to achieve something. Despite everything that happened to her, she's still going on with all the pain and heartache, trying to make her own path. She hid all this pain inside her.
One more time, we should high five women who fight for what they want and stubborn men.
"Can a kiss be filled with pain? Because thats how our last kiss felt - like all his pain was suddenly unguarded and free for me to see and experience. And it broke my heart."~
I wanted to kill Sebastian almost 65% of the book. Ugh, he made me mad!!!! But while Ava hid her pain, Sebastian covered himself with it. He wore it like an old, torn blanket that he couldn't leave without.
While Ava fought for them, Sebastian tried to fight his demons, and fight his way from their relationship. It was tiring sometimes...
But I couldn't hate Sebastian..
"Sebastian's kiss, our kiss, was the unicorn gliding on a rainbow magic. It was passionate, in perfect sync with my ... everything, and basically so amazing I was suddenly afraid I wasn't going to be able to live without his kisses from now on".~
At some point while reading the book I just thought, is the author exaggerating? Is there problems that much big or important? But when I resumed reading, I learnt pain comes with different measures and we deal with it differently, even Sebastian and Ava had their own way, I don't have to judge.
The book was so simple and sweet, I easily connected with the author and her words.
I also loved how she focused on the friendship part in the book.
Everything about this book made me laugh/smile/swoon/and feel sad.
And at the end, I was finally happy, because their demons managed to be best friends, super best friends!!

SINOPSIS: Ava es estudiante de medicina, acaba de empezar su primer año en el hospital, dónde conocerá nuevos amigos. Ava tenía una hermana gemela que murió hace unos años pero de la que ella no logra desprenderse.
Sebastian es un chico callado, no se relaciona con nadie más que con su amigo Collin, pero con Ava siente que tienen algo en común.
OPINIÓN: Lo único malo de este libro es la traducción, es una pena que la persona que lo ha traducido no se haya parado a repasarlo, porque hay fallos como decir él en vez de ella... y cosas que tienen poco sentido.
Pero es una historia muy bonita, con unos protagonistas que han tenido un pasado difícil y que aún lo llevan como una mochila, notando su peso.
El libro se lee muy rápido, es una historia sencilla que me ha enganchado des del primer capítulo.

Nu mă așteptam să îmi placă atât de mult
Ava și Sebastian sunt rezidenți la un spital din Chicago. În momentul în care s-au cunoscut, au simți o atracție unul pentru celălalt însă nu este totul atât de simplu, amândoi având un trecut dureros. Vor reuși să-și coboare zidurile și să dea o șansă fericirii?
Am citit-o în 2 zile, efectiv nu mă puteam opri, citeam cu fiecare ocazie. Este scrisă frumos, fluid, captivant. Iar povestea de dragoste e una inocentă, dureroasă și fragilă. Chiar dacă plotul în sine nu este ceva wow, felul în care e scrisă cartea, m-a făcut să mă îndrăgostesc de poveste.
Iar faptul că o bună parte din acțiune are loc la spital, mă tot ducea cu gândul la Grey's Anatomy.

Our Demons, Best Friends
I love it! A book which is a now near permanent companion in my bag, be if I'm going to college, or on a long train journey, I'm glad to have this book by my side! (Especially if I get to see Sebastian! Watch out girlies (and guys obviously)) Its a love story which shows the value of patience and good timing, the opening scene is set in the most unlikely of places which is a nice change.
Being honest I've never read romances, I find the concept of love one which I like to avoid after watching countless dramas unfold on Saturday night telly (Buffy The Vampire Slayer I'm looking at you) but this one beat its way into my heart and has found a loving home. I know when I pick up this book I can rely on Sebastian, Ava and all their buddies to cheer me up as well as make me cry. And that just shows what an engaging book this is! It makes me feel something which is what I look for when I read. I want to feel the characters heartbreak,joy and everything else.
Its a book where I can return to without needing to worry about my opinions changing about each character. I also found a quote which is one of the most romantic. "My demons love your demons like crazy." This quote shows unconditional love, loving each other despite the flaws and baggage the other person may bring.

The only thing I can say about this book that can convey my feelings towards it as much is I want to is that the words inside are as good as the art on the outside. And if you don’t find the cover of this book the most beautiful thing your eyes have ever laid on, then please go book an appointment at an ophthalmologist.
I knew this book would fuck me up from the very first beginning when I flipped and saw the playlist on the last page. Who on Earth would have thought an author would provide you her very own book playlist? Like I know this is not part of the main novel, but it deserves some kick-ass recognition.

Sometimes a book should be judged by it's cover. I mean look at it! It's gorgeous! A beautiful face for a beautiful personality.
The contents of this book is just as well thought out and lovely as its cover. Ava and Sebastian are two medical residents working in the same hospital when they meet because of mutual friends and sparks fly, but do not ignite. Not yet. Not until both are willing to accept themselves and each other.
It's a slow, short and sweet romance with both parties respecting the others boundaries.
I would like to mention that though this book is a romance featuring around adults it is very clean. Squeaky clean. No sexual content at all.
Also, man-bun. Sebastian has a man-bun and tattoos. Killer combination.

"My demons love yours like crazy"
I loved reading this book. I read it in two sittings would have in one but had to sleep at night because I was exhausted like crazy!!
I wanted something light and cheesy and this was the perfect blend for all that!! I got it yesterday and now I am finished with it!! I love the hospital dynamic involve. I loved the building and hot n coldness of the relationship. and the cute funny moments they shared that were totally oh and ah cute.

La historia en sí es bonita. Sencilla pero llega a enganchar. El problema con este libro es la cantidad de errores ortográficos, de traducción y maquetación que hay a lo largo de toda la novela.

I have no words to describe this wonderful book, which in a majestically way managed to change my life in a matter of days and left me begging for more. You know, I read a lot of love stories in the last 3 years or so, and each one of them was cute and entertained me, but I can count the ones that really stayed in my heart just with the fingers from one hand. Ava and Sebastian's story is unique, special and absolutely breathtaking and my favorite at this very moment. There is no doubt it will stay in my heart forever.
When I received the book, I knew I was going to like it, but never did I imagine that I will love it so much. „Our demons, best friends” (best book title ever, btw) is a story about life, love, loss, grief and hope and so many other important things. The main characters are complex, strong and the way Diana made them evolve in the book pleased me so much. Ava and Sebastian are two wounded people, with demons well hidden in their hearts and they find each other only to change each other's lives, so that in the end they become more powerful and finally, to make peace with themselves.
Ava is a first year resident and her determination for becoming a great doctor mostly comes from her twin sister Ally, who died years ago, leaving her empty on the inside. She always keeps this secret to herself...well, until she meets Sebastian. But he is no better than her. Sebastian is a second year resident, who the majority of the time keeps himself away from people and likes to deal with his own demons alone, just like Ava does. They fall in love with each from the first time they meet in the cafeteria, but the path to hapiness is long and sprinkled with hard, dark times. Slowly (but surely), Sebastian lets Ava in his life, making her to discover his less grumpy side. However, he is so afraid to acknowlege his feelings for her that he pushes Ava away, even though he wants her with his whole heart. Because of his confusing acts, the girl soon starts to believe that he doesn't like her at all, so she decides to resign herself with the thought that she will never have him the way she wants. But do not worry, because at the end of the book Sebastian resolves this problem in a very swoon worthy way ♡ ♡ ♡ ♡

Even though my favorite characters are A and S, I can not help but love their friends (Colin, Paige, Emily and Miles) too. They gave this precious book a touch of humor and always lightened up the mood.
Another big plus for ODBF is the playlist the author shares with us at the end of the book. After I finished it last night, I listened to all of the ten songs and it made me feel so much better. I already knew some of them and some I've just discovered, but anyway, they were perfect for this story. It was like I could understand the characters' feelings better and live their story once again, just by listening the lyrics.
All in all, I highly recommend you this book. It's AMAZING!!!

-Our demons best friends- i must say that the title was the first thing that attracted me the first time I saw the book between Rayene’s hands; mostly it was the word “Demons” that jumped at me and had an influence on me.
I liked the book once I read the plot and I fell in love with it once I got to read it, because I really adored the way the author payed attention to all those little details that people often don’t notice, which made me literally imagine every action in the book like it’s happening in front of me almost like a movie…but no!! even more realistic, there were these parts in the book that I just couldn’t get enough of reading them again and again, like the part that describes the sound of the needle while it makes it’s way through the bones it was just so “real”.
As for the characters I have to say that I felt somehow connected to them especially Sebastien like his unstable mood and disordered soul if I’m allowed to say so; also Ava’s shyness and the fact that she liked to stay off lights.
What can I say is that I tasted every alphabetic letter in this book and what’s behind it… so simply it was like “hey” I found myself in there when I thought that I was an outsider and it made me laugh and cry just like a good book is supposed to do (like Ava said) and even helped me to clear my vision on accomplishing my dream of being a writer and the most important thing I learned is that it’s okay to be weak sometimes and get hurt and it’s more okay and necessary to give yourself and people around you and even life a second chance no matter what you have been through; and it’s a lesson that I needed at the time. ♥

Let us begin with the prologue.Quite frankly,most of the prologues these days are way too mysterious and not understandable.But this book was an exception.I loved the prologue so much.
The story started slowly though.The details about Ava's character were too much.But suddenly the story progresses and then you understand that all the details were essential to feel Ava.
Ava is one of my favourite female protagonists.Everything she does seems perfect to me.She is neither too shy nor too outspoken.She is 'the one' for Sebastien.And now,Sebastien.Seriously!Seriously!So much swoon.Such hotness.
Diana T Scott has approached the subjects-death and loss very well.She employed it very artfully in her book.I was completely sucked into Ava and Sebastien's story.She is really good at describing feelings and emotions and you very quickly get caught up in what is happening.The bonus to the exquisite content is the cover.It totally reflects what's inside the book.Books need covers like this.
The writing is as smooth as silk and keeps one reading long after the lights should've been out.Deeply felt and deeply moving.I could not put it down.I really can't be happier about how everything ended in this book and I'm sure I'll reread this book in the future.

I absolutely loved this book. Like read it in 3 hours straight, stayed up way too late to finished it, loved it.
This book was so amazing. It was a great New Adult romance, but with a genuine connection, built on friendship, not lust. Plus, they are first-year residents at a hospital, and it was so wonderfully "Grey's Anatomy" at some points I loved it so much.
Ava and Sebastian both have their issues, and I really liked how they weren't romanticized too much, but they also weren't too raw. It was the perfect balance of old scars that they had, for the most part, been able to come to terms with. Yes, they have their darker moments, but they aren't held down by them.
I also loved how even though this book was New Adult, it wasn't your typical, all about the steamy scenes NA. I think that helped add to the story, the author focused on their relationship and feelings, as opposed to writing steamy scenes every chapter.
Overall, I loved this book, I think that much is clear. I absolutely cannot wait for the next book in the series.
I absolutely loved this book. Like read it in 3 hours straight, stayed up way too late to finished it, loved it.
This book was so amazing. It was a great New Adult romance, but with a genuine connection, built on friendship, not lust. Plus, they are first-year residents at a hospital, and it was so wonderfully "Grey's Anatomy" at some points I loved it so much.
Ava and Sebastian both have their issues, and I really liked how they weren't romanticized too much, but they also weren't too raw. It was a quick cute read - not mindblowing or lifechanging but it wasn't what I was looking for when I picked up the book.
There's a girl, there's a boy, they fall for each other, they go through some struggles but they end up together and that's what we are here for.
I have to say that I really liked Ava although sometimes I felt that her loneliness was a little bit forced. But hey, a likeable main character appears to be really difficult to get by these days, so big thumbs up.
Sebastian however, is a slightly different story. I'm not sure why she fell for him so quickly. He was good looking and exciting with his tattoos and man bun, even though the latter is not my thing really, but we didn't quite see his personality until much later in the book. To put it bluntly, he was just a miserable git at the begging, which is understandable given his story, but I would like to see a little bit more charisma so that Ava's falling for him instantly would be more plausible.
Having said I enjoyed my break from sci-fi and fantasy and I'm looking forward to reading more of Diana's books.

Such a cute story! I know a looot of people have enjoyed it and I did too! I think it's great for a new writer. There are some things I would improve:
1. Better editing and proofreading. (I just found out the book was an ARC and the Editor is working on the proofreading! The final version will definitely be better!)
2. More descriptions to establish the scenes and mood.
3. A bit more focus on the secondary characters.
I hope anyone who reads the book enjoys it! Thanks so much to Diana, the author, for sending the book to me! It's a great book for YA lovers.
