After Miko's exciting day, the last thing he wants to do is wash away all the fun things he did! Mom says he doesn't have to take a bath-but then he will have to endure tickly clothes, sticky ice cream on his face, and sleeping on the hard floor! How far will Miko go to remember his special day? Another charming adventure that children will want to hear again and again.
Summary: This book tells the story of a mouse who doesn't want to take a bath after the "perfect day." The main character, Miko, refuses his mothers request to take a nap because he had an amazing day and he thinks washing away the marks from the day, including sand on his arms and ice cream on his face, will ruin the day. Eventually, he changes his mind and decides to take a bath so he can sleep well and do it all over again the next day.
Teaching Ideas: As a teacher, I would implement this book in to my classroom for vocabulary assignments. This book contains some great challenge vocabulary words for younger grades. Some of the vocabulary words I might would pull from the book include disappeared, special, and excitedly.
Evaluation: Over all, I personally love this book. The story line is very cute and the illustrations are amazing. I would recommend this book to anyone!

Surprisingly fun book about a mouse who doesn't want to take a bath, because the bath will erase all the evidence of the wonderful day he's had. Probably won't be a favorite, but we all enjoyed it this week.
