Elizabeth Hayley is actually “Elizabeth” and “Hayley,” two friends who love reading romance novels to obsessive levels. This mutual love prompted them to put their English degrees to good use by penning their own. They learned a ton about each other through the process, like how they clearly share a brain and have a persistent need to text each other constantly. They live with their husbands and kids in a Philadelphia suburb. Thankfully, their children are still too young to read.

Well, I’ve done it. I’ve finished reading this series that I felt compelled to finish for some odd and unexplainable reason. This last book in the trilogy was just as eye-roll worthy as the previous ones. Basically, if you liked the first two books, you’ll be fine with this one and be rooting for Derick and Siobhan to get back together. If you didn’t like the first two books, I’m sorry to tell you that there isn’t much improvement, and you’ll be groaning aloud at Siobhan’s steadfast resolve.

There isn’t much new to talk about here. As we saw previously, Derick is the more mature one in this relationship, and Siobhan is still Siobhan. I did give a little cheer when her friends finally spoke up and told her that as much as she wants to, she can’t do everything by herself. It’s okay to accept help. There are times when we need it, when we give it, and when we take it. I thought it was about time they told her to suck it up and get on with living her life. Help may be what gets you where you want to be just a little bit faster. I just wish they would have helped her see that sooner!

I found the ending from chapter 31 and onward to be so clichéd and so over the top. I mean, come on, there’s even a knight in shining armor moment. It felt like too much too soon especially given their many ups and downs, and Siobhan’s slow acceptance of all that is Derick. It also felt like a cheap cop-out to me, like the authors knew it was time to wrap it up, and the easiest way was to . I would have liked to see something more original and something that showed compromise on Derick’s part.

In my opinion, the three books in the series could have been combined into a 250 or so page romance paperback. I think the focus would have been tighter for the writers and that would have led to a better developed storyline. Drawing it out into three separate mini books actually weakened the overall story as each mini book also attempted to be a complete story within itself. Writing it as one complete novel would have tied things together and allowed for more depth in the relationship.

I would rate this 2.5 stars, and the series overall, 3 stars. The first book was decent and compelling enough to pick up the second; the second book was awful and just filler as it did nothing to advance the storyline; and the final book was okay. As I said, I really think the Bookshots formula combined with making this a trilogy weakened what could have been a pretty good story.

This is what I was looking for!! Great ending to this book where it actually felt like it was just perfect for them. Though these books are shorter the plot does not feel rushed at all. I didn’t feel like I missed any big chunks of time or story. Great writing from these authors. Now after reading the whole teilogy in one evening I can go to bed with a smile on my face. Derick and Siobhan have totally grown on me!

This was a fun series. I would call it literary cotton-candy. It was quick, entertaining, not super annoying, and it didn't make me angry the way most romance novels do. I would recommend this series to people who like romance novels, anyone looking for a quick read or anyone looking to pad their reading challenge.

This was the perfect ending to the Diamond Trilogy! I thoroughly enjoyed this novella. It was so sweet and so romantic...what i think love should be. I definitely recommend reading this book. Even tho part 2 wasn't great, it led up to an excellent ending.

Really good and satisfying conclusion to Siobhan and Derick's topsy-turvy love story! Of course it wasn't smooth sailing, because nothing with these 2 has been up to this point. I was glad to see Derick finally taking a stand against Siobhan's constant back and forth. But I was very happy they were able to really work things out and put all the craziness behind them.

Not sure what I thought about this 3 book series. The sex was a little much for me (I'm no prude, but harder harder and all the cock and come stuff...) But at least they went quickly (haha, no pun intended)

This series was very uneven. The first book was a proper romance and had a plot. The second book was a fuck-fest with almost no plot at all. The third book (this one) was back to being a proper romance with some steamy scenes. It seems to be the most balanced of the three books in the trilogy. However, the lead characters are both so tremendously stupid, that at times I wanted to quit reading. I'm glad the series is finished.

The last book in the trilogy finds Siobhan with her artistic dreams coming true only to have lost Derick, her love. He has decided enough is enough. No more being jerked around trying to prove his love, but can he stay true to his resolve? Especially when she finally does her own "grand gesture" to prove her love for him.

But can she love him (and his wealth) unconditionally? Accept him as is, and he, her?

Recommendation: read all three or not at all as the stories only work together.

The third and final book in the series. This one is better than the first two but not by much. There was a little more of a storyline and a little less x-rated scenes.

Series review: i am disappointed with myself for wasting time on the series. There was very little storyline and all three books together could have been a single bookshot book. The story and characters were totally predictive and honestly, point blank irritating. Will rather give this author a skip in the future.

Had to finish the trilogy as I had to know if they were going to be a couple or not or just friends with benefits. It was a quick read and a nice wrap up to the set. I have to say I enjoyed this one more than the first two.

So managed to read the final book of the Diamond Trilogy and again not as good as the 1st one. Its a series you do want to read all 3 just to see what is going to happen / if things get better.

Recommend as a light hearted read

To start off, this is what I would call a smutty book, so if that is not your thing just skip down to my next read and pretend you didn’t see this! Now if you are still reading this I will tell you that this is the third and final book is a surprisingly good series that may or may not have more sex scenes than I can count...that aside the story is really good! The on again off again of the relationship seem like normal human beings going through life (aside from the whole she looked like a model and he was a billionaire). It was messy, it was complicated and it was refreshing to have the inner dialogue when the characters realized that they were the ones to blame for what was going on. There were times that I legit thought they might not end up together in the end...no spoilers…read it for yourself! It was nice to go along for the bumpy ride and be entered into the art world setting! The authors (since I found out the pen name is actually the first names if the two female authors) did a great job of creating a memorable story and setting where even the lives and interactions of the supporting characters were just as interesting! The story kept me wanting to turn the page and see what would happen next! And you know...sometimes you just need a book with some wonderfully steaming sex scenes to get you through! ;)

I finished Exquisite, #3 of the Diamond Trilogy by Elizabeth Hayley early this morning. Elizabeth Haley is really two female authors who wrote these three romantic novels in the series together. I liked this one much better than #2, Radiant as it was a repeat of #1, Dazzling - just located in a different city. Finally an ending to the series for Derick and Siobhan. This is one of James Patterson's Bookshots, which are more of the novella size but highly entertaining. Siobhan is an artist and Derick is a rich computer programmer who made it big by selling an app he created. They met at the Stone Room, a bar that caters to wealthy business men where Siobhan works with her highly amusing and supportive girlfriends. To say Derick and Siobhan's relationship is tumultuous is an understatement but I think Elizabeth and Hayley have a good thing going and should continue writing more romantic novels, which they are both obsessed with (way more than I am).

So Siobhan and Derek are no more when we left them in book 2.

This picks up at a showing at the gallery and she invited Derek. Whike she is talking to some other artist she learns as to the reason why Derek bought the gallery and gave it to her. Stubborn as she is she just can not say I am sorry I made a mistake, I over reacted and thank you.

Later as she is telling her friends all that has gone on, they kind of put her in her place and say hey, he wants to help and that is a good thing. Accept the help and get over yourself and wanting to do it all yourself.

Still lots of passion and sex in the book and some things you knew were going to happen like the destination for the surprise plane trip.

I will say that I was surprised that Saul hired er back after all the breaking things and mishaps she did when she worked for him prior.

Alright the last book in the trilogy and one star better than the last two and here is why...

So yet again, Siobhan and Derick fall back into the same rhythm, but finally some REAL TALK happened between the two of them rather than the idea of talking and just going straight to sex.

I think the ending was definitely beautiful but it took a journey to get there and three books later...

Throughout the novel you see that Derick is starting to wonder when it's time to stop riding this roller coaster ride with Siobhan and honestly I don't doubt his feelings. It's not been easy (for either of them to be honest) but it sure could have gone better had they communicated well before now.

Overall this was a good book, the final conclusion to the trilogy and all I can say is that I wish it was better.

Listened to the audiobook version - very well done. I enjoyed finally reaching the end of this trilogy, though I am not sure I needed it to be spread out in three volumes. I grasp the premise of presenting a fast moving plot in a format of short bursts; perhaps if I was reading a print book I would have appreciated this idea more. It was great to finally see Siobhan and Derrick reach “the same page”. I felt the level of “spice” was just right to make their developing relationship make sense. I also really liked learning the inside view of the professional art world the Siobhan was a part of. I will definitely be reading more of Ms. Hayley’s work.

Derick has finally decided to throw in the towel it appears. He is tired of Siobhan constantly walking away. She doesn't even give him a chance to explain and he's had enough. Siobhan seems to need a bit to realize that she has gone too far. Her toddler tantrums have not gone over well. She finally decides to put on her big girl pants and start adulting. It was a nice surprise finally. She then realizes she is going to have to do something to earn his trust. The book was a quick, easy read. I did want to see more of her growing as a person, and less of them in bed. Overall a decent read.

This one was probably the best of the three, which isn't saying much. Siobhan's friends told her to get over Derick buying her things and I loved that. We are supposed to feel sorry for her for having a rich boyfriend who wants to buy her things. I don't think so, so I liked that part. Once she got over it she had to convince Derick she could handle him being wealthy, but can Derick believe that? They worked it out, happily ever after and all that. I may look at another one of these bookshots, but not one that is a trilogy.

3/29 Finished another #bookshot tonight and now wish I had the first two !! This is basically minimal foreplay and all steamy down to business writing but still had story line and character development just no extra fluff lol Derek is a dream boat to say the least - reminds me of pretty woman or 50 shades the hottie with more money than comprehensible sweeping the resistant strong willed woman off her feet

Absolutely loved this final instalment! Chapters 21 and 36 made my heart melt. Fantastic quick fire series, so good that I wish they weren't so short as I want more!!! The transitions between chapters were perfectly balanced and I thoroughly enjoyed being a part of Siobhan's and Derick's rollercoaster of a journey together. So glad I chose to give this series a go :)

James Patterson's BookShots Flame "Exquisite" by Elizabeth Hayley (Book 3 of 3 in the Diamond Trilogy) is the continuing on again/off again romance between a painter/art gallery owner, Siobhan, and billionaire Derick. I enjoyed reading Siobhan's stunning and creative declaration of love. I recommend this book if you enjoy a steamy quick read.

It seems that with the conclusion of this novella trilogy, the leads Siobhan and Derick *finally* figured out that relationships - successful ones - require give and take. I always thought they belonged together & I am glad they realized it too!

A great third book in this trilogy. I don't usually read romances but I wanted to find ot what happened to these 2 characters. Wish there was another bookshot about them as I'd like to learn more about their futures.

Once you remove the very descriptive passages of the sex scenes there are likely only 50 or so pages to read in each of the 3 books.
If I wanted to be turned on by porn, there are many other sources.

Now that I’ve read the entire trilogy, I feel confident saying that Siobhan was the problem. Her toxic, feminist nature caused her to create drama where none existed. By the end of the book, she had convinced Derick that he was in the wrong. I really hate that she got a happy ending.
