Looking forward to the next one

I wasn't sure about this series, as it felt at first like a prototypical YA, but the author surprised me in a very pleasant manner. I started at one, and you should as well. Agatha is a quirky character, and her friends are well developed characters as well. There are layers to the story and I am not so sure all those who are supposed to be friends truly are.... well worth spending precious reading time on.

Get an editor!

I tried. Three books was my limit. This series has such potential! If an author mistakes your/you're, then I cannot continue. Unacceptable, really.

At this point, all the charm and promise of Agatha Blackmore has been completely buried under her Mary Sueness. Because she's so special, none of the normal rules of promotion apply to her, so she immediately jumps several ranks because why not? It's a way to get everyone together and make up for the fact that there wasn't a couple of years of books while they were students. The author clearly watches TV cop shows, and bases a lot of his understanding of military and police procedure on them (NCIS in particular); while some of these shows do have advisers around to help them get things right, that doesn't mean things aren't sacrificed for the plot, making them pretty bad learning devices.

Pretty much everything in this story is a repetition from an earlier story; names may be slightly changed, the details of the Big Bad a little different. Doesn't really matter, tho - people get stuck to gardens and walls and vans, shoot the witch, try to touch the witch, blah blah blah. Recycling the same concepts while changing a nugget of plot does not a series make.

If you're the kind of person who expects your alphabet characters to actually act like alphabets, or to be set in a realistic alphabet world, based on actual alphabet procedure, skip these books. If you can't handle run-on sentences, incomplete sentences, and scene changes that have the book read more like a loosely connected series of vignettes than a single novel, skip this book.

There's a lot of potential here, and should T.S. Paul see this review, all I can say is: take all four books to an actual, good editor. Pay through the nose to have someone cobble together two books out of the four; two good, tight, coherent, correctly edited books.

Great book

I think it is great that the gang is back together and solving supernatural crimes. I can't wait to see where the series goes.

4 stars for storytelling

-1 star for consistently poor copy editing. I simply don't understand why this keeps happening - tightening up the text and using proper punctuation would catapult this author into the mainstream, but he persists in using editors who can't manage to do so. Disappointed again...

Heating up...

Things are heating up for Agatha Blackmore and her team... because she is now the one in charge of the Magical Crimes Division, and her team consists of her friends!
Magical Crimes have a lot to deal with, but this case of child murder seems extremely complicated. Dealing with weres is a political nightmare at the best of times, but dealing with a potential pack war is a whole other matter.

This book brings us into the nitty gritty world of the magical crimes unit of the FBI. Agatha is thrown into the deep end, but she can handle it. Cat is coming into her own too. The only thing missing from this book was Fergus... we need more Fergus!

This is not a stand alone book, although it could be read as a standalone, it works best as part of the series because of the running jokes in it. If you enjoy paranormal crime fiction or suspense with a paranormal twist, then you’ll probably enjoy these books.

Another fantastic Federal Witch Book

Agatha Blackmore is promoted to special agent in charge with her own teen, which consists of Catherine (sabertooth werecat), Chuck (her beta werecat), Bill (the human liasion), and Anastasia (the ancient vampire frorentic expert). Their mission is to stop is slavery ring a murder of a werewolf child. They discovered the mission is much more than what they are led to believe.

This book has lots of drama, action, and is very magical. Just what one is expected in the story from the author. The characters are great and more in depth at the series a fedenal witch progresses.

I would highly recommend this entertaining read to all my friends and family.

Third Federal Witch Novel is Great

This third episode of the "Federal Witch" series is the best yet. Our young protagonists are together again once more, their education and probationary year finished, fighting against modern slavery, Werewolf greed, conmen/con-werewolves, military munitions and other threats to the peace of the citizenry.

Thankfully, the military remains both greedy and inept. Other packs keep trying to break up the young pack of heroes. There are so many people with problems that need to be straightened out...one way or another...

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AS: URBAN SORCERY/PARANORMAL LAW ENFORCEMENT STORY IN SEVERAL VOLUMES

Child slavery gets the team riled up

Terrific. She's be ordered back to Quanitco to hear not only that she will lead a new team but also to meet resistance when she tries to access her greenhouse. Her team is made up of her pack, a liason and the vampire. Their case is to investigate a child slavery ring that is made up of were's. Lies, deception and underhand dealings greet them and it is only during an all out war that they discover the final clues as to who is behind the whole thing. Can they stop them? Will their strengths be enough to take down all the male shifters involved? A fast moving plot that is full of action and secrets. Great reading.

I like this series but this book was a little disappointing. It started well but as it came to a conclusion is sort of fell apart. There was too much just centred on the Were Packs and not enough on Agatha and Cat. The story became disjointed and the final big fight was tedious and a bit bewildering.

One other minor irritation; how can the marines attack and fire at Agatha on government property with a V-22 Osprey, two attack helicopters and a squad of marines and the rest of the FBI not notice and all that happens is the General says sorry?

I've still been reading these because I was curious as to where the story might go and they were in Amazon Unlimited. But I think this will be the last one. Lot's of action. But these books have a lot of problems. The worst is the dialog. Very unnatural and direct. There is no subtext. Everyone one speaks directly to one another and answers directly. Characters don't really stand out from one another and are one-dimensional. The main character is basically invincible and always right and her friends are basically invincible as well. There seems to be no cost associated with using the magic.

T S Paul or Michael Anderle

I loved the Alpha Class. I stumbled across The Forgotten Engineer. I read up to volume 13? Or so of the Kurthian Gambit. Truly epic space opera. The collaborations are awesome, but I believe that the strategy of series of 3-4 linked stories are more entertaining. I think the building of Agatha 'a character is great and her ensemble cast is equally interesting. Pay attention and there is a chain that is leading to at least a fourth book that I will be reading.

I did enjoy this next book in this series, although it has been a while since I read the last one, so had forgotten some of what happened previously. It wasn't hard to pick it back up though!

Agatha Blackmore, the only Witch in the Magical Crimes Unit of the FBI, has been stirring up trouble ever since she joined the academy, but now she's out on her own and has been very quickly promoted to Special Agent in Charge of her team. Luckily for her, her friends Cat, Chuck and Anastacia join her team along with a new guy, a human this time though.

Investigating a child murder leads the team into more sinister goings-on. The team do work well together for the most part, but I kind of expected more from Chuck and Ana to be honest. I know she's a vampire, but I expected Ana to do more than just sit in her truck all the time! And Chuck didn't really do anything with his were-ness!

I do like this fun, quick series and this book did have a few unexpected twists that I hadn't realised until they were revealed. I definitely needed something quick to read this time! On to the next book in this series now! Need to catch up on it!

These books are so stupid. None of the characters are actually likable. The Unicorn is the worst. The sad thing is I keep reading them just to see how much worse they can get with each book. LOL And they make me laugh with how stupid these characters are. It's like watching an even dumber version of the movie dumb and dumber. since I can read them for free on Kindle Unlimited I'll probably read all of them just for the laugh

Ok, this is now my favorite!

I love their assignments and how she pulls tiny threads and ends up with deep, disturbing cases that are multilevel. I just want more at the end of each book, kinda like watching the tv series " Supernatural". I want to see this team do more, I want them to figure out the corruption in the witches council and weed it out, I want them to find their true strengths and see where this goes.

Another hit

I have been hooked since the beginning of this series. I love how everything is out in the open. Yeah same things are still secret but why not. Humans aren't that understanding never will be. Great read loved how the gang was all put together. Still wondering about the vampire but the more mystery the better. Can't wait until the next case....

Special Agent in Charge FBI Witch

Agatha and the team are out and about. FInally, Agatha gets taken down a peg as the 'Be All and End All' Witch of the FBI. It was good to see that her magic was brushed aside by some bad guys and forced her to improvise. In testing to see how her story goes on.

I found the story fragmented and confusing at times. Other times, I felt it was repeating from the other books and found no good reason for it. It lack the good nature humor and closeness among Agatha, Cat and Chuck that was found in the other books.

These are an amusing series of books. My main complaint is the author refers to weasels as rodents TWICE in the story. WTF? This is absolutely incorrect and seems like something that should be pretty common knowledge!

I am really liking this series. They do add random encounters in with no real explanation. They slip in information that might not be relevant at the time. I have a feeling its building up for things to come in the series, but it can be confusing initially.

Agatha is now Special Agent in Charge and has her own team composed of Cat, Chuck, Anastasia, and Bill who is only human. Their mission - break up a werewolf child slavery ring in Arkansas. Much fun ensues.

This is a light, fun, cotton candy bit of a book about a witch who works for the FBI. People in this world know that magic exists but don't really trust magic users. The main character is put of a trial program to put people with powers in places where they can do some good.

Growing Up

The characters have aged well in this series and are now on their own with very little back up. I really get invested in characters when I can watch their growth and development
