MATE FOR THE FERAL BARBARIANS by Scarlett Grove

When Kimmy Simms decides to take part in a online quiz to find her perfect mate, the very last thing she expects isfor it to be real. Landing her in another dimension, where she thinks she is dreaming. There she's met by two huge blue barbarians who insist that she's theirs. In a world where the enemy has poisoned most of the women and destroyed all hope. Some faith has been restored when Kimmy is sent to Konko and Vock, for themselves and the other males in their clan. But her choices become more difficult, as she's forced to choose only on mate, the twins explain that she is human and cannot mate with both of them. But where there's a will, there's a way. Can they escape an enemy attack and complete their ancient ritual, so that both can claim her? Or will she be forced to deny one of her would-be-mates?

This was an interesting and intriguing world, filled with dangers and big blue aliens. I think that the author had some great ideas for this story, but somewhere between the idea and the execution of the idea, something fell flat. The scenes and the characters development felt incomplete. The story seemed to be written in haste without thought to proper scene believability. There were also some grammatical errors and discrepancies throughout the story, and the characters didn't quiet have the chemistry I was expecting. These are my views and I'm sure others will love it, but it wasn't the book for me.

I did NOT enjoy reading this. I read it on and off for 3 days and I honestly just kept putting it down every time I started reading it. I rolled my eyes probably 70% of the time and I don't think anything felt believable in terms of reactions. Too many things were just accepted with a 'oh I guess that's just nature right', 'It feels right so it must be' or easily accepting there's no other option because it's their way of life.

There was no swap of culture, she could have been all like well that's not the HUMAN way so compromise, and I felt like the way things played out was just not good. The only way they can all Mate is if they both take her at the same time and bite, so in my head I was like well solution would be a head job if you think you'll destroy her, or stretching, but no, she had to have some vampiric transfusion with them and become like them and after all that she's still a human body but can shift like them and is 'strong'. I'm sorry, but her lady bits and butt will still not withstand that unless her skin magically changed to something stretchy. They use oils and shit so they know about lube, and I'm so confused she didn't mention other ideas, never seen things like that on the internet or read it in a book? Crazy!

I'm just really baffled about all this, and the end? Dear LAWD, It was way too neatly wrapped up with shooting the sky devils and her being pregnant, like this whole book could honestly have been 80-100 pages or so and cut out all the nonsense and stuff. How she felt a connection with them as soon as she did still gets on my nerves, I'm kinda wishing I DNF'ed this book, and I think if I feel this way at the start of any more of these by the other authors I won't continue them and just move on because this really was NOT for me.

Kimmy has had some really bad dates lately and is about ready to give up. After her horrible date she clicks on a quiz and boom she is matched with 2 blue alien men by these 2 cupid looking beings. She is taken there pretty quickly and her mates just go nuts over her. They fear hurting her so opt to make her choose. Kimmy just cant do it because she likes them both. A legend may have a way to make it possible for her to mate them both. Another issue arises they name Sky Devils which are small space ships. Konko and Vock have a code to activate a weapon of some kind in their ruins to help defeat them. Pretty interesting world.

I normally enjoy Scarlett's Sci-fi romance books. This one fell flat for me unfortunately. It seemed a big mess throughout and seemed rushed as well. I didnt feel any real connection between the 3. Attraction sure but no relationship it was all more physical than anything. They jumped into it right away and I mean right away. It lost its believability for sure for me. Also, she told them a couple times she loved them but they never said anything back to her. Perhaps its the species and they just didnt know what it meant. I dont know. I liked the idea of it dont get me wrong it just didnt quite come together. I wanted to know more about their people especially from so long ago. What kinds of technology they did have. About these Zeta alien people. Like I said a lot of information is missing and there were some editing errors. Its a shame because I think this could have been really good if it was more developed.

Scarlett Grove never lets me down. I can always depend on her to write a book that makes me feel as though I can get my HEA. She takes the story line and works the characters in the story line so well you can almost believe it is real. When reading her books, I can’t put them down till I have finished it. In “Mate for the Feral Barbarians” Scarlett takes a slightly different take on dating agencies. She actually uses cupids in this book and they find the mates for the “Celestial Dating Agency.” In this book you have 2 indigo blue barbarians who are twins and shifters, an unhappy human woman, creatures you could never dream of, jealousy, lust, and a whole community in the trees, and can’t forget the cupids!!!! This book is recommended for mature readers 18 years of age or older.

Kimmy Sims has just returned home from the date from hell. This leads her to believe that she is actually cursed with the worst dates ever. Now that she is home and relaxing with her ice cream she decides to check out her social media page and see what is going on. She comes across one of those quizzes with the stupid questions, but the HUNK on the page was mouthwatering. She decides to do the quiz. The first question was a picture of several different men. The me she could tell by looking at them weren’t human, but the last one didn’t even look human. He looked like some kind of space creature that was kind of scary. But there was to 6 and ½ foot tall or taller indigo blue men that caught her eye. Though not human they were built like blue GODS and they were identical which she concluded them to be twins. So she finishes the quiz then two cupids appear to give her the results of her quiz and then the next thing she knows she is in another dimension, or is she dreaming?

The two huge blue barbarians that she was drooling over on her computer showed up and before she knew what was happening she was being whisked away to their private hunting lodge. The introduce themselves as Konko and Vock and they are identical twins. But once they see their tiny human mate they decide then that they could not claim her because they both have to be in her at the same time and she was too frail to take them both. So it is decided that she will have to choose one of them for her mate and the other would not have a mate. They each begin to compete for her affection and love hoping that she would choose between them. But Kimmy can’t choose, she has fallen for both of her wonderful blue lovers. Can they complete the ancient ritual that could allow Kimmy to claim both brothers before the shy devils wipe out the entire planet? Or will Kimmy have to choose between the brothers and deny the other brother?

No Spoilers. Advanced Readers Copy received.

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

In this book we meet Kimmy, Konko, and Vock. Kimmy after another failed date goes online to look at any new post on Facebook and possibly update her online dating status to get a better class of men. While on Facebook though she finds this online survey asking what would your perfect mate say about you. So she decides to fill it out, without reading all the fine print. This leads to her being taken to another planet to meet her mates. Can she get the men that seem to be perfect for her or will it all be to much for her to handle?

Konko and Vock are twin brothers on the planet Zimbre. They are out hunting like they usually do for their tribe but are greeted by two winged men that are suppose to be myths. The cupids make statements to them that the men don't know what to do with. The only thing that they latch onto is that the cupids have found their mate and if they defeat their enemy they will bring more women to the planet for the rest of their clan. Upon meeting their mate they must decide can they do what is not only right for their mate but for their entire clan?

This is a great book that teaches you to fight for love no matter what the odds are against you. Plus if where you are isn't working out think of another planet for possible love. This story has it's ups and downs that I really want to tell you about but as I reader I like to experience some things for myself. So I will say this is a great book that will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

I am still learning to be a fan of sci-fi romances but this one is written by a favorite author and features my alma mater's mascot which is a panther so I would have checked it out anyway.

The cupids work for the Celestial Mates Agency. They put a quiz on a social media page that Kimmy was checking out after a crappy date. Turns out that they transported her to another planet where the Zimbre panther shifters reside in a primitive society. Vosk and Konko are twins and it is they that the cupids deemed to be Kimmy's mates. However they have a task to perform before the rest of their Zimbre males can have mates.

I thought that this was a good plot, had strong characters and hunky alpha twins to fall for.

No Coffee or Ice Cream Here

Cupids from a Celestial Mating Service bring an Earth woman Kimmy to another world after she takes a quiz. Kimmy is to be the mate of two big blue males with yellow eyes. Silver flying saucers are destroying the world Kimmy has come to. One woman, two males. Will Kimmy take both males for mates or can she only have one, can the invaders be defeated? Recommended for those who like hot R-rated type romances.

Strange Place

Kimmy was less than satisfied with dating. She took an internet quiz. She was taken away to a place and told she would find her perfect match. She was taken to a planet she knew nothing of. Meanwhile Konko and Vock were told they would get a mate but they were given knowledge on how to defeat the sky discs. So begins their adventure. Will they succeed in their tasks and have a HEA?

Fun book

The story had a nice plot that was unique and interesting. It held my attention, and was not a knock off of so many other sci if novels.
I enjoyed the planet the single woman landed on and her unique shifter twins. The sex was a bit too much for me, but it sells to a large demographic. I am looking for a good sci if setting, and this book did have that!

After a date from hell, Kimmy Simms decided to console herself by watching a chick flick and eating some Ben & Jerry’s. While scanning thru social media, she decides to take a quiz to find a perfect mate, the next thing she knows there are two Cupid's whisking her off to a primitive land meet her mates. Her mates turn out to be the twins whose profile she picked, while filling out the questionnaire. Konko, and Vock are her destined twin mates. Even though they come from two different worlds these three have to face a lot of challenges to make their relationship work and to defeat the enemy in the Kinko & Vock’s world.

I recommend this book. This book has an interesting story, great characters, lots of twist & turns, as well as reaching the reader's heart. The setting is described beautifully, I could easily picture this world in my head. I liked the simplicity of a well written story that flows easily.

A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and this is my honest review.

Konka,Vock and Kimmy

Kimmy was playing on the internet and filled out a survey of her ideal mate. Before she knew it, she was on an alien planet with twin blue warriors as her mates. They think she must choose between them, but she was told by the celestial matchmakers that they were both her mates. She

TOO SHORT

Since the author chose to keep the story short and will many plot lines open, I would assume that she has plans for a continuation of the Zimbre story, maybe from Kimmys daughters point of view showing how the clans did after the sky devils were f defeated, her parents lives ETC also did they use the technology left to them from the ancients. What happened.

3-1/2 Stars...

I like this storyline with the little aliens bringing together fated mates. I like Kimmy, Vock, and Konko even though when the guys POV comes it is sort of primitive sounding. The only problem I really had is that the first third of he book there is a lot of repetition. Otherwise this is a fun lighthearted sci-fi romp.

I am trying to clean out my TBR and get through some shorter books for a challenge. This was just an okay read. I was not a fan of how the guys just ignored her wishes and desires for so long but over all a solid read.
