Double the Bite

Rate this book
A vampire in New York…

Ginny and her twin sister are only two of many glamorous creatures who stalk the nights during the decadent ‘70s, partying at hotspots like Studio 54, where bloodplay is just one of many wicked delights. There are no rules for them, only pleasure…until Ginny does the unthinkable after a passionate bite.

Falling for her prey.

But her twin isn’t about to let Ginny leave her so easily, and she’ll do anything to stop her, even if it means destroying the first soul-stirring feelings Ginny has felt since she actually lost her soul…

This novella was first published in the FIRST BLOOD anthology in 2008 as a part of Chris Marie Green's Vampire Babylon series. But "Double the Bite" can be read on its own because it offers insight into Sorin's twin vampire "daughters" and what happened when they deserted him. The story now includes a brief excerpt from THE HUNTRESS, a Chris Marie Green vampire urban fantasy, at the end. The word count is approximately 22,000.

I'm not familiar with this series, this is definitely a different take on vamps, I'm curious enough to want to read the series to find out more about this world. Twin vamps, one better than the other fight over Ben when he tries to find out story behind who killed his brother. Ending is not expected.

I read the ARC for an honest review....this was an awesome read! If you are familiar with the Vampire Babylon Series, you will enjoy this book. This is about twins, Ginny and Geneva who's maker was Sorin, and Ben Tyree, who is a cop, who came to New York seeking answers for his brother's death, what he finds opens him to a world he didn't know existed. Will he find his brother's killer? Will her survive what he learns? You will have to read the book for yourself!

Vampires, the 70's and Studio 54 make for an interesting tale. Ben is on the hunt for his brother's killer but little does he know he walked into the dark world of vampires. Ginny and her sister Geneva are closer than normal twins, vampires with mind reading abilities. Having been pitted against each other forever can easily take a toll on any relationship, they were tested when Ben arrived. There are characters from the series here but it's not necessary to read those first, I did not and enjoyed it anyway. Looking forward to digging into this series, I need to know more about Sorin. The author gave me a copy so I have voluntarily given my review.
