Elliot & Annabelle #2

An Improper Bride

Rate this book
When Elliot Reed offered a one-year contract marriage, I accepted it. Jobless, with a younger sister to provide for, I didn't have much of a choice even though I found him insufferably arrogant and too attractive for my own good. But somewhere along the way, our terms seemed to have altered. Now Elliot wants a fresh start, and I agree. I would like a peaceful marriage--even if it's fake, and even if it's only for a year.

Despite our commitment, the ugly baggage we carry gets in the way. He demands nothing less than full openness, and I can't leave my heart vulnerable to a man who may turn his back on me if he discovers my secrets.

As our pasts collide, his enemies become mine, and mine become his. Unless we can overcome our fear and mutual distrust, our fresh start is doomed...

Note: This is the second part of a three book-long story featuring Elliot and Annabelle.

Standalone my @ss- this sis setup for a sale- these books are not standalone !!!!

I hate cliffhangers! 10 to finish the story, because in a sucker. Authors ruin their reputation when they do this. I'll finish this one story; and never read this author again. And will go out of my way to make sure no one gets lucky into this nonsense.

I am a sucker. I wanted to know the rest of the story, so I handed over $10 to finish what SHOULD have been one book. I'm mad at myself too because it was NOT WORTH $10! That was $10 that should have gone to Sarah J Maas instead.

This is the second installment of Elliot and Annabelle’s trilogy. I’m very anxious and excited to get on the first page ever since the major cliffhanger of the first book. The couple continue to know each other and surprisingly fall in love with each other.

The author will reveal here the reasons for Elliot’s as well as Annabelle’s actions. Say goodbye to “Gigi” as Elliot learns to accept and love Annabelle for what she is. Two persons from Annabelle’s past will be revealed and you know it, will add to the story’s conflict. As for Elliott, his past will also haunt him. The couple’s trust will be tested. Since this is jist book 2, expect a cliffhanger. Like me, you will now root for the couple’s marriage to stay strong and lasting. You will love the story as it involves your emotions, makes your brain think of different theories and makes you love the characters.

An ARC was given by the author in exchange for an honest review.

Becoming ridiculous now.

I really loved book 1 of Annabelle and Elliots story. I really liked Elliot from Ryders books. In this second book, not 1 or 2 but 4 people come out the woodwork to stab Belle in the back. It's started to become repetitive and frustrating now. Then comes book 3 where we have the reverse but now I'm finding I'm skipping the s£# scenes to hurry the story along. I'm disappointed as I really had high hopes after book1.
It's a good series, it's well written, just on a personal note, I'm finding it all a bit dragged out now. I doubt I'll continue after book 3.

Orrr I want an Elliot for myself 💖

So Mr Asshole isn't such an ass after all, I love reading about the relationship between him and Nonny (especially with the texts from boys) classic protective brother stuff and gave me a giggle. It's got some hot scenes in this one between him & Belle that's not to be missed, just be aware this story is spread over 3 books not 2 like Ryder and Paiges story - I think I also missed a bit of their humour it would have been perfect if it had a little more Ryder and Paige in it.

3.5 Stars. So much of this story I liked, but I got so tired reading about how great Elliot is in bed. Annabelle married him for the million dollars, the mind-blowing sex came with the deal. I didn’t need to be reminded every other page. Come on, Elliot is not the only man that can bring pleasure to a woman.
What kept me reading Elliot and Annabelle’s story was the intrigue and secrets around their relationship. Who set them up? And Why? I guess the next book will have all the answers.
The scenes with Elliot and Nonny are so sweet. I am very interested in reading more about the only girl sibling in the Reed family. Elizabeth is such a kind and beautiful lady.

Elliot & Annabelle

*****Spoiler Alert*****

This is the 2nd book for Elliot & Annabelle and the 2nd cliffhanger.

Sadly secrets keep them from a peaceful year long arrangement that give Annabelle and her sister security and Elliot the marriage he needs to fulfill his father's ultimatum. Both of their exes keep butting into their lives and causing drama. Hopefully the 3rd installment will give them a peaceful HEA. The cliffhangers are worth it just to read Elliot's sex scenes because they are so hot.

Thanks for making this available in KU. JP

Wow. As in the first book, the second one ends in a major cliffhanger. One thing I am grateful for is I don't have to wait till the third comes out.
As I finished reading this book, I am wondering why I never read or heard of these books.
I am really Loving them. I couldn't put this book down.
I Love Elliot and Annabelle's story. There are so many secrets unraveling in this book. I really can't wait to see what happens next in book three.
This book is a must read!

Part two of three of Elliot and Annabelle. The plot thickens and there are villains everywhere. There’s a true chemistry and feeling between the two but omissions are as good as lies and by the end, Elliot is devastated to learn Annabelle has been manipulated by his enemies. (Or is she one of them?)

The suspense is killing

Book 2 and I just want them to spill the beans. The love is so obvious but the unknown on who's trying to ruin their lives and why is driving me crazy. Don't get me wrong cause the sex is to die for!!

Drama!!

So much drama in this one. Kind of reminds me of the Christian/Anna drama with everyone trying to break them up. Can’t wait to see how everything comes to light and we can see who is behind everything.

I will finish the series but this was not a good book. Annabelle keeping things from Elliott is absurd. He was truthful with her. She knew where he was coming from and she still lied. Elliott deserves so much better. Disappointed in Annabelle's lack of honesty & integrity!

Fantastic read.

Yes 👍 I'm hooked with this series and must read third book. Love 💘 the way he calls her Belle and I know I'm my heart that he loves her. So on to the 3rd book.

The plot becomes thicker. Feelings begin to develop and old pasts come back to attack them both. Trust is lost and it seems as though the world is crashing down. CLIFFHANGER book 2 of 3

Improper Bride

I really like Annabelle and Elliott's story, but it could been put into just two books. The second book was mainly a sex feast.

I hate that these two can't tell each other the truth. I get it though Elliot controls everything and Annabell has nothing
