Deadly Deception

Rate this book
Family was everything to John. First his family and their ranch in Leakey, Texas. His next family was the United States Army. The Army, and subsequently Special Forces, took John to remote areas of the world, and introduced him to people who meant him harm. They, however, were the ones that felt the intensity of John's training. Many a foe fell at his silent trigger pull. For many years, John thought he could invoke harm elsewhere, without risk to his own family. That all changed in a heartbeat. From Texas, to Beirut, to Saudi Arabia, John Jacobs left a mark. Before things were done, his enemies would leave their own mark on John. Deadly Deception is the first novel by Eric Redmon.

Eric is a soon to be retired Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon by profession, but a writer by heart. He and his wife, and occasional cowriter, Felicia, Sheepadoodle, Tibby, and Terrier, Winnie Lou, are transitioning to live in the Deep South, Thibodaux, Louisiana. Eric grew up in New Orleans, and this town is included in his first book, Cold Silence of Deception, and fourth novel, a romance called Talulah's Pie. Just released, A Look Through, is historical fiction brought to life from the Natchez, Mississippi area, finding Nanette, and great-granddaughter, Rosalie tied by an intrieging ability to witness the lives of ancestors through their dreams. His second novel is Surrogate of Betrayal, a captivating historical story detailing the trials and tribulations of brave men who fought in Vietnam. Cut from the Fold is a psychological thriller, filled with suspense, which takes the reader from Newport, Rhode Island to the Caribbean on a terrifying trail of murder and a family gone very wrong. Night-Night, Freddie, is set in Louisiana in our new hometown of Thibodaux, where you will find Claire who will take you on a wild ride as she attempts to retrieve her husband Freddie, who was lost... in a dream! Interspersed with the other books is my memoir of beliefs, Vision of Faith. If you are interested in books that are difficult to put down, you will not be disappointed with any of my books. Thanks to all!

The story line was exciting and kept you glued to the pages. Once I started it was hard to put down! I follow a lot of authors who write about our US military heroes and this was a very believable story with many realistic situations. The lead character, John, has my admiration and respect! God Bless America and all who serve her!

I enjoyed the New Orleans references (my home town, too) and the part at the end about your Mom! (who I admired as well) I liked Charlotte best and thought Fe was too juvenile for John. He married down the 2nd time!

Will John be back in your next book? I look forward to more novels by you Eric!

Best read in a long time

Entertaining and one of the best books I have read in some time. I couldn't wate to turn the page to find out what would happen next. This was a great love story but also so much more. You will feel like you know the characters personally. This was so well written I can't wait for the next one.
