Welcome to Sanctuary. Gemma inherited a secret when Hal Leonard died - along with the knowledge that he was her father. Now it's her job to guard what Hal had hidden in the radio station. But when Gemma reveals the secret to her best friend, Pastor Dan Walden, they discover a link to Dan's late father.
Can Dan put his memories of the old man's anger to rest, or will his past be the blade that tears the town of Sanctuary apart? In this final installment of the Sanctuary series old rivals clash, new foes leave their mark, and a ghost from the past returns in this explosive climax.
Binge this fan-favorite Christian romantic suspense series today. Book 1 - Sanctuary Lost Book 2 - Sanctuary Buried Book 3 - Sanctuary Breached Book 4 - Sanctuary Deceived Book 5 - Sanctuary Forever

She’s discovered a penchant for high-stakes stories of mayhem and disaster where you can find made-for-each-other love that always ends in happily ever after.

It wasn’t until her Bible College graduation that she figured out she was a writer (someone told her). Lisa is a worship leader, tea aficionado, and dog lover of two crazy Airedales.
SANCTUARY FOREVER – I don’t want it to be over!! This was a great series with amazing characters; people you really become attached to—especially the Mason brothers.
It this final installment, Gemma—a woman born in the WITSEC town of Sanctuary—finds out one of the citizens was her father. Unfortunately, Hal Leonard is now dead but has left Gemma a secret to guard. Not knowing what to do with this information, Gemma tells her lifelong friend, Pastor Dan. When they discover a link between Hal’s secret and Dan’s late father, the town of Sanctuary begins to fall apart. Others know about the secret and will do anything to find it and silence anyone who gets in their way. With an all-out uprising on his hands, Sheriff John Mason calls in reinforcements. People are dying while others thought dead reappear. John prays back-up will come in time before a man bent on a massacre gets his way.
SANCTUARY FOREVER was jam packed with action and shocking twists. Gemma and Dan are trying so hard to protect each other, they deny the fact that they are actually in love. But, with Dan suffering from a form of PTSD, and Gemma’s questioning reputation, they’re ready to sacrifice everything for each other’s safety. SANCTUARY FOREVER also allows us to touch base in the lives of other Sanctuary residents we have come to love, along with the other Mason brothers. Unfortunately, there were still questions left unanswered. Who is Mei Ling? What does Ben Mason do for a living? And how are they connected? I hope Lisa Phillips is hard at work on another series that might answer these questions.
A unique setting, great plots, and amazing characters—the Sanctuary series is most definitely the newest addition to my favorites list.
Sanctuary Forever is the fifth and final book in the series. I highly recommend reading the books in order since each story builds upon the previous one.
In this story, we find out how the WITSEC town came to be, who the founding fathers were, and why they were sent there.
I don't know where to start with my review. Sanctuary Forever had many surprises, a few plot twists, and a budding romance between Gemma and Dan. They have been best friends (secretly!) forever, and neither one of them wants to ruin their friendship.
Overall, the story was good. However, I NEED more! I need to know more about Ben's story and if some things are in fact true (can't tell you because spoiler). I thought this book was going to be his story, and it's not. I need to see if there is a spin-off series or book on him. If so, yay! If not, I am disappointed not to know more 😜. I also wanted to more information about Mei. And, honestly, I am just not ready to leave Sanctuary!
I am struggling to put into words what this series has meant to me. Never a dull moment, no slow parts, and surprising suspense through and through. The characters were real, down to earth, having to deal with troubling pasts and failures. They each dealt with issues so prevalent in our world today. Most came to know what true sanctuary is - the grace of a loving God. Then there were those who abused it out of their own greed. Sanctuary has such depth of spiritual truth , causing much personal soul searching, tears, laughter and most of all - hope. Thank you , Lisa, for writing this beautiful series with which the inspirational part must have surely come from your own close walk with the Lord. Blessings!
I enjoyed this series so much! I could not put it down I am so glad I didn’t have to wait for the next book I just go from one to the next one until I have come to the end!! Lots of twists and turns that kept me picking up to read every free second I had! Thank you Lisa for using your God given gift to encourage and inspire your readers to believe in the love of God no matter who we are or what we have done in our past! I think Dan was my favorite character because I loved his unfaltering faith and trust in Papa!
I haven't read any of the stories before this one. Standalone buy. Mysterious setting and people setting up a community. All with pasts and wanting new beginnings. Some get to be born in the place and know no outside influence. This story got me thinking about what makes up a town and what industry makes or breaks a place. How important is church (followers over building) and having a spiritual leader?
Lisa Phillips pens a good read. I actually found myself muttering about some of the characters and situations, in a good way. And reeeally liking when an idiot got his comeuppance. Or feeling kind of gross when seeing a character like any of the Evangeline family...ewww. Good stuff.
The whole Sanctuary series was fantastic. Had gotten books 1 and 5 free but bought the rest of the series because it was so good. I don't do that very often! There were a few things that didn't align, like ages and months in the town, but I can forgive those minor problems because the overall story was so good!
I am so glad this is the end of the series. I don't think I could take any more surprises than the ones in this story. Surprises include the former sheriff, Gemma's father & Dan's father. All that the people in Sanctuary have experienced over the years makes me say this place is not a sanctuary that is peaceful or enjoyable. Good thing it's just a story where anything can happen.
I love this book about a town called sanctuary that was created as a witness protection town In the mountains of Idaho. I’ve read a couple of the previous books in the series and they are all great. Rated PG for violence
For most of the book, the storyline was confusing. It would jump from one person and situation to another without letting the reader know what was going on or who the characters were. Near the end it was more clear.
Another great book from Lisa! I haven't read one of hers that I didn't enjoy. I read every single one I can get my hands on. I even re-read some! I would definitely read this series again. Great characters, not too "preachy" and great story!
This was an amazing book. It had me guessing what was happening and how did that happen. There was suspense, mystery and romance,. I can only say it again, wow what a book!
I don’t know why I enjoyed these Sanctuary books so much. Enjoyable reading. I could usually follow them. The Christian side of them did not bother me, as a negative, because that is the way I think myself. I will look for more by this author.
I enjoyed all of this series. Each one carried the story higher and revealed more about each character until they became my close acquaintances. The books would make a great TV series.
What a way to end a series. It's amazing to see how God uses, people and circumstances in our lives. From the ending, I hope to see more of these four brothers. Ben and Mei?
The best yet! I literally couldn't put this down! I was sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the resolution of the suspense only to have it heightened.
While I have read this whole series and have enjoyed it, book 5 was far from my favorite. It seemed like there was an awful lot of whining in this book, especially with the lead character. There were also some transitions that left me scratching my head wondering what happened? I was in one place one second, somewhere else the next... I did, however, like the way things wrapped up.
I have read all the books in this series and have become attached to the characters in the series. So glad to read Dan and Gemma's story. Glad Ben is going to have his story and would love to have a love interest for Grant. He deserves a happy ending. Very exciting and traumatic story.
Questions raised early on in this series are finally answered... in a few very surprising ways. It kind of wraps up the series but I've still got questions; I wonder if there are more books to be written about this WitSec town of Sanctuary simmering away in the author's imagination.
