Inspiring Collection of Life-Transforming Stories from a Bestselling Author
God is near and desires to change our lives, and then change us --from the inside out. In this new collection, ordinary people share stories of how God has used miracles to change their lives. They tell how God's display of power helped them overcome weakness, sin, and unbelief. These accounts will bring you hope that you aren't defined by your past.
This book will encourage your belief in God's power on earth. More important, it will show that he wants to do more than demonstrate his might--he wants to have a closer relationship with you.

Sometimes life just goes along in ordinary ways. Then we start to think that miracles are something that just took place in the Bible. However, God is still in the miracle business today and this book has real-life stories to remind people of that fact.
Life-Changing Miracles compiled by James Stuart Bell is a compilation of 37 true stories of regular people experiencing miracles of all kinds. These stories are about people who have overcome disease, injuries, temptations, dire situations and unbelief. In each story, someone shares how God worked through a challenging situation to bring about some sort of miracle. Sometimes the miracle was a really big thing and sometimes it was someone experiencing a change of heart. However, all of them are indeed miracles just the same.
I enjoyed reading these stories. While I read Life-Changing Miracles straight through, it is one of those books that you could just pick up and read an uplifting story now and again too. Honestly, some of the stories just stretched my faith to believe that they happened and other stories uplifted me with the reminder that God is still working. Life-Changing Miracles would be a good gift book for someone else who needs that reminder.
I received Life-Changing Miracles from Bethany House Publishers. I was not required to write a positive review in exchange for the book.
This book is filled with miracles, big ones, small ones- all gifts from God. It is incredible to see God working in our lives, all He does, all He gives us, all He makes happen for us- or not happen. But it is exciting, thrilling even, to hear what God has done for other, and that's exactly what we get in this book. We read of people coming to the Lord, health issues disappearing, tangible gifts and or signs from heaven, learning who you are, learning to be who you are, and prayer. Lots and lots of prayer! Because, how else are we going to have a chance to get what we want- what we think we need? We do not have because we did not ask, or maybe we asked, but we were doubtful. Boldness, crying out for Jesus- that is why ALL these miracles happened. Similar to another book compiled by James Stuart Bell, Gifts from Heaven, we read stories by multiple Christens in their own words. My favorite was the mom wanting to reschedule her new baby's well visit but couldn't. That was seriously a diverted disaster!
This was another great edition to the miracles books Bell has compiled! There was such a wide variety of stories, from healings to seemingly small miracles that still made a big difference in someone's life. Some were breathtaking and blew me away while others made me cry or smile. All were incredibly encouraging and such a great reinforcement to my faith. The recipients of these miracles learned great spiritual lessons such as not to fear, that God can be depended on, that He loves us and cares about even small things and He always has perfect timing. I can't say enough good things about this book and the other books about miracles Bell has compiled. I've read a few others but want to read them all. I highly recommend them!

Changing Miracles was an incredible book - when I started to read it It touched me - I was in tears at the first chapter. Then the second chapter came and well I can"t tell you how much I love the stories that the author shares in each chapter.. This book is amazing, incredible, phenomenal in how the author pulls you in and touches your heart, and boy does each story touch your heart., it is authentic, realistic and GOD inspired that is for sure - and that is what I look for when I look for in a book - please do not miss out on this gift - and that is just what this is - a I received a copy of this book from the Publisher and Netgalley; all the opinions expressed in this review are all my own.
A widow wonders how she will go on alone. And then, to her amazement, she finds a tiny angel in her car. She has no idea where it came from, but she left it in the car. After a week away with a friend, she returns home, only to find the little blue angel on her kitchen floor. Could it be a message from her beloved husband?
A woman prays and prays and prays, asking God for a miracle. But that miracle never comes and she wonders why. But the miracles were all around her; she simply hadn’t noticed them. Like the church people, coming to help her mother pack her things for her to move. The need for a job? Prayer answered when a position at an antique shop opened up. Always there was the little miracle until she realized she’d received a pocket full of miracles despite her lack of faith in God’s ability to bring her a miracle.

Thirty-seven stories of lives changed by divine intervention. Miracles need not be big to make a big difference; sometimes the smallest thing makes the biggest difference.
Here are folks that put their faith in God and had their prayers answered in the most amazing ways. Readers will find these stories touch their hearts, affirm their faith, and offer reassurance that miracles truly are everywhere.
Miracles come in all sizes and they occur more frequently than most people realize. In this book, some of the miracles were pocket sized and others were dramatic saves from danger.
Each chapter is written by a different author. I enjoyed reading about God's divine interventions and how these encounters deeply impacted their lives.
Sometimes God performs life changing miracles with the help of angels and other times He uses our fellow humans. In the last chapter, the author shared about a difficult time involving her eyesight. Many folks were praying for her and some encouraged her with a Bible verse. Amazingly, each person had shared the exact same verse with her. Matthew 19:26 says, "Humanly speaking, it is impossible, but with God everything is possible."
Reading this book was both an encouragement and a faith building experience.

James Stuart Bell brought together a book filled with stories that will inspire others. I feel that there is at least one or two stories that will speak to the reader's heart and sole. For myself I enjoyed A Walking Miracle, Circle of God's Arms, God Had Other Plans and Finding Faith in Foreign Land. Each one touched me and, in part, told a story from my own life.
I highly recommend this book to others. I give it 5 stars.
I was given this book by the publisher in exchange for my honest review.
I love the stories in this collection. Each story is unique in telling the same message--God is personally involved in the lives of His people and He can do great things in transforming lives, healing bodies, restoring relationships, and giving us purpose. I'm privileged to have my story, "My God Can Do Anything" included in this delightful collection.
Wonderful book of short stories about people and their encounters with God. This is an amazing book and came at the perfect time for me. If you ever feel your faith waning, read this book. It will remind you of God and his wondrous and amazing presence in our lives. Thanks to NetGalley, the author and the publisher for the ARC of this book in return for my honest review.
I liked this because it isn't a constant stream of health-problems and God coming in at the eleventh hour to heal people. There are a great variety of modern-day miracles in here, from God directing a lifeguard to Him supernaturally stopping the rain.
