There is almost nothing of substance about this book I liked... the premise is intriguing yet hollow, the writing is fluid yet manipulative, the biblical support is painfully distorted, and the research is illusionary at best. However, reading it does give you insight into the perspectives of those who are now not only looking past Trump's rudeness and crass behavior, but now have begun to venerate him. Read it at your own risk for what it is, election propaganda.

A Must Read to be an Informed Christian Voter

My heart leapt with every word, and my mind settled into a peace with understanding. I've been praying through these many months as I've watched this epic drama play out on the national and world stage. Certain phrases and perspectives I heard and came to understand in my spirit through prayer I was amazed to read in this book, confirming God's prayer direction for me with renewed hope. I am awake, watching and praying in this "crucible" hour. Every Christian, especially those struggling with "voting their conscience" need too get the historical timeline big picture here, and reframe their tunnel vision beyond thinking they are voting the "lesser of two evils" which I have come to understand as a false narrative for some time. There is far more at stake in this 2016 election than most are truly aware of. Be informed beyond the MSM pundits, who are on this stage solely to toss out red herrings of deception. Dr. Wallnau nets them all and exposes each for what it is, separating out truth from error, sense from nonsense, firmly grounding the issues and arguments at hand in historical precedents and sound biblical foundations. This is the year of Jubilee--I will rejoice and be glad in it for my God reigns and will yet do marvelous things by His grace and for His glory!

This book is written for a very specific audience (evangelicals). It does give some insight into the evangelical support for Donald Trump in the 2016 election, but it was mostly a plug for that community to support the Trump campaign.

This book helped me understand the millions of evangelicals who supported Trump in his presidential candidacy. As it stands, Wallnau has created a rushed defence for an unpopular perspective. I have a feeling this book will endure, but perhaps not for the reasons the author intended.

I picked up this book after the 2016 election because it just felt that divine intervention somehow influenced the election. It simply makes no sense that Donald Trump could be elected considering all the things he did to sabotage his own campaign.

So, what if God did have a hand in his election? I may be stubborn, but I'm not close-minded. I decided to give this book a chance.

I can't say that I'm fully convinced, but there are several things in this book that make a lot of sense and resonate in my soul. I struggle when Wallnau incorrectly categorizes the position of Progressives (of which I consider myself to be), but his assessment of the tenuous position of America and the hypocrisy of the 'establishment' is spot-on.

Believe it or not, Donald Trump might be a 'Cyrus' for our time to bring stability amidst the chaos. I hate to say it because I'm adamantly opposed to many of his positions, but I can't explain how he got elected apart from God's hand.

Lance Wallnau is the voice of reason, insight, and Godly wisdom. This book is excellent. It forecasts the anointing and will of God that transcends the voice of lies, corruption and chaos. Although an older book, the validity of what's in here is relevant yet today.

An Accurate Prophetic Forecast

I think the book is well written and speaks to what took place leading to the election in November 2016. But there’s more. Wallnau advances serious thoughts on governance that need expression, namely, the need for “common grace” not “saving grace” in political candidates. America needs qualified experienced leadership. Then candidate Trump had that leadership capability aka “common grace” to lead America from it’s state of debauchery. Ironically, Wallnau proposed candidate Trump had the grace to lead us from our sins. He was right. That happened.

Interestingly, one of the most prophetic statements made by Wallnau was not in reference to candidate Trump. Rather, it was in reference to the coming loss of free speech. Wallnau describes that coming loss of free speech now plastering the headlines of America’s news. Right now, Elon Musk, of all people, is seeking to outright buy Twitter (for the purpose of saving it) to salvage it by restoring freedom of speech to a platform built to bulwark freedom of speech.

Amazing! Wallnau predicted it before it happened. Impressive! I recommend this book. The reason I gave the book 4 stars is the failure to proofread this book prior to publishing it; it has several typos. Grammar and spelling are important qualities in a book publisher, author, etc.

Before beginning my review, I consider it important to declare that I am not a christian of any kind, and this undoubtedly influential on how I process the information and arguments in this book. Now, let us continue...

In this book, the author posited that in 2016, America was entering its Fourth Crucible, that is, the time of upheavals that certain to bring irreversible changes to its citizens’ lives. And where would The Donald be in this scenario? Apparently, he was God’s Chaos Candidate, someone who was apparently came without religious or spiritual credentials, yet expected to bring back America back in line with God’s plan. Throughout this book, the author tries to describe Trump’s candidacy from evangelistic point of view, his and other preachers’ personal experiences meeting Donald Trump, and his prophecies of Trump’s victory, predictions that were only partially right. I can say that because while he certainly swept Clinton aside in his election victory, he failed in draining the swamp, a failure that costed him his second term (although in highly questionable manner). All I can say is, either God is telling Trump and Americans to keep patient, or God has another Chaos Candidate up His sleeves.

Amazingly true even as the 2020 election is here

Nothing has changed from the Progressive agenda. Praise God the His anointed leader has halted their advances. However, the spiritual war has only increased in cunning. The enemy is attacking as he looses battle after battle. The Trump administration is remarkable. God's protective fence prevails each attack. Only God knows the plan but with our faith we can enjoy the defeat of the evil shadow cabinet trying to establish a "One World Government." God will prevail and according to Job 19:25, "As for me, I know that my redeemer lives and at the end He will take His stand on the earth." This is just as true today as it was in Job's time. This IS and excellent book and a must read for all believers. Please pray for this country, the 2020 election and tgat God's will will be done. And I pray that all believers (and non-believers) can see the truth. Open your heart to receive the truth.

I'm reading this book after the election and wasn't aware that the book was published before that time and was written more to persuade people to vote. If you were following the evangelical or prophetic movements around Trump before the election, you probably won't find anything new in the book.

If someone is looking to understand how Trump won and is completely unfamiliar with Clement's prophecies and evangelicals, this book might offer a little insight, but there's a lot more support Wallnau could've given and much more he could've gone into. I could just tell that the book was rushed to get to the presses in time before the election. Maybe at some point someone will write a more complete history and timeline of the evangelical movement around Trump because it was really fascinating to be a part of.

You owe it to yourself to read this book from someone who was on the ground. It's amazing how accurately Lance predicted what we are now facing 4 years after he wrote, "God's Chaos Candidate". May His kingdom come. And may we have the courage to be His hands and feet in the earth.

This prophet, this book, and this President are anointed by God for a time such as this. I'm reading this book in 2018, a year and a half into President Trump's administration. The presence of the Lord is active and evident for those who have eyes to see.

Lance Wallnau gives a unique Christian perspective of the church and the 2016 election. Reading it four years later, right before the 2020 election makes his perspective even more unique due to the time that has already passed. A mind broadening read.

Well, I would never have ordered this book; but husband Steve did for some reason. I am just not into charisma, whether hands up or hands on varieties, and this book seemed to speak in both voices. But having picked this book up, I cannot put it down! Author, Dr. Lance Wallnau, writes as an eye-witness to something extraordinary happening at this hour in our nation; and we have a role to play in this great drama.
Other generations have lived through historic times; so it is not implausible to consider that we, too, are alive during critical events that demand our involvement. Will we show the courage of our heritage? Will we be "the land of the free and the home of the brave?" Or, as many assert, should we return to shopping and big screen venues that normalize our times, trusting that America will muddle through; best not to rock the boat. And the moral voice of the nation granted tax exempt status for their role to exhort and inspire the people, will they take a stand for America? Or will the pulpits of America run from controversy (and relevancy) to grow membership and donors?
Many who voted for Donald Trump were motivated by a conviction that another Democratic presidency would mean the end of America as we have known it. Interesting and thought provoking if a bit "conspiracy theory.". The author uses biblical history and the Gospel to relate to our current political climate. He shares along the way why he became a Trump supporter and what his hopes for America's future are through the saving of Jude-Christian values. The easy to read and non confrontational style makes this book worth considering.
