American Haitian writer, Patrick Jonathan Derilus was born in Nyack, New York on November 23rd, 1991. He first adopted free verse poetry in the 11th grade of high school. He is one among many contemporary 21st century poets who writes with a distinct self-affirming willpower and a spirited, lyrical voice.
