This book was fun to read because of all of the little poems, not to mention that it can help you for the AIR test. Now I know how to pronounce mythology names better, and I have more background knowledge.

This is an excellent book that teaches children about Ancient Greece through fun rhymes. Readers learn how to pronounce Ancient Greek names and learn the Greek alphabet. They learn about well-known people from Greek history and about their contributions to our lives today, such as the Hippocratic oath, the Olympics, and different types of columns we see on buildings. They learn about the important influence of the Ancient Greek people on science and history. They learn about the myths of Ancient Greece and even about what Greek people ate back then. The poetry and action-packed illustrations should make history a lot more interesting for many students, and the rhythmic lines should help them to retain many of the facts they learn from this book.

Through modern poetry this book gives a lot of information about Ancient Greece. It's starts off with a poem that deals with pronouncing Greek names. From there each poem looks at the important people and events during this time. There are even a few poems at the end that focus on Greek Mythology. The illustrations are colorful and do a great job complimenting each poem.

I think this would be great to use in the classroom when studying Ancient Greece or when looking at Greek Mythology.

This book is a great book that is full of great information and facts about Ancient Greece. It is an alphabet poetry book and each letter stands for a different fact about Ancient Greece. It would be great to use during a history unit on ancient cultures and civilizations. I really liked the illustrations and I think the kids would too!

This is such a fun read aloud that is best to be read after your have learned about Ancient Greece. And if children know the ancient Greek stories well enough, you can let them finish many of the rhymes. Fun!
