They say money can’t buy love. Fortunately, it can buy everything else.

A week ago, I didn’t know who Nathan Turner was. That’s because he doesn’t own deals; he makes them instead. He’s the man behind the curtain — more powerful even than the man in front of it.

He’s a multi-billion-dollar networker. A connector, in his own words.

Nathan’s job is to pull strings. And when I butted my way into his office, he told me he planned to pull my strings, too.

I thought I could make my own deal with Nathan, but now I’m in over my head.

What he’s connecting now isn’t a takeover or a buyout.

I think he’s forming a secret society instead: a Syndicate of billionaires who want to pool their assets into a trillion-dollar pool, then rule the world.

I’m not up to this. I’m just an 18-year-old girl.

But there’s no way Nathan will let me out now.

The Connector is the first book in the Trillionaire Boys’ Club series by Aubrey Parker. Each book tells the story of another of the Club’s powerful members … and you’re going to want to collect them all.

I love to write stories with characters that feel real enough to friend on Facebook, or slap across the face. I write to make you feel, think, and burn with the thrill that can only come from getting lost in the pages. I love to write unforgettable characters who wrestle with life's largest problems. My books may always end with a Happily Ever After, but there will always be drama on the way there.

It's a pity that this writing style is wasted on a yet another disturbing misogynistic story with pretentions at sophistication. The author makes some half-hearted attempts to hide this under the guise of a seemingly ambitious "strong" main female character and the continuous mentions of huge amounts of money. So many billions! So little time to actually go against the grain of billionaire and now trillionaire stories! Because that is, at this point, what makes the difference in this genre, in my opinion.

It's disgusting. Although writers are not obligated to make social commentary or educate the masses, the fact that this one, just like so many authors writing about billionaires and alphas, romanticizes this damaging sexist crap is a missed opportunity, because she is talented and the premise was interesting enough.

So does the HEA in this book work? No. This couple doesn't have a future. The hero's lust for the heroine will vanish soon enough and the most she can hope for is an advantageous divorce settlement if she manages to marry him.

What and Why? The two common questions that were asked as I read this book
description/

Nathan is trying to build a Trillionaire Boy’s Club. He’s missing one main link. Insert Alex. Rather Alex inserts herself to get the main link. This is where the story really goes downhill. Besides the overselling of the Trillionaire boys club (I was so sick of the frickin boys club), the supposed heroine is said to be strong, but comes across as naïve and gullible.

The MC’s barely know each other. Every time they are together, they talk about the boys club and Nathan is teaching Alex an important life lesson with his PENIS. Shortly after meeting, they tell each other ‘I love you,’ and the author sets the stage for the next story and the book ends.

Will I continue with this series?

Aubrey Parker has been hard at work setting the scene for a new type of romantic hero. We’ve had our share of millionaires and sure, billionaires are nice and all, but what if... What if all those sex-on-a-stick billionaires were connected? What if someone was ensuring that these guys all met one another, what happens when millions turn to billions and become trillions?

The first book in the Trillionaire Boys’ Club, The Connector brings you Nathan Turner’s story. The man behind the idea. The connector. Nathan is hard at work trying to get the old money to join in with the new money but starts to hit a few snags. He didn’t expect the barely legal college student to barge into his office claiming to have the answers to all his problems. But he knew from the moment he saw her sitting in the lecture hall that he wanted her.

Alex may be in a little over her head, but there is no denying the attraction she feels towards Nathan. Even if he is in a whole other league. And even though she may not be able to deliver on everything she thought she could, Nathan still wants anything she has to offer.

I am an avid reader (no kidding). I will read most romances and although I sometimes will dive into a smut-filled story that is anything but a story, I still tend to want more from the books. What I loved the most about this book, hell – the concept of this series, is that although it is still a romance, it is complex. There is a whole new world being built behind the scenes and we are getting glimpses into the players of that world now, but I have a feeling that the end game is going to be mind-blowing and so much more than what we could have guessed.

I can’t wait to see how Parker builds this world!

I was given the opportunity to read an ARC copy of The Trillionaire Boys' book.
Aubrey Parker is an amazing writer, but this for me is one of his best. It is so different from anything I've already read of his work.
The two main characters, Nathan & Alex have an amazing chemistry right from the start. The power play between them is intense.
Nathan is a powerful man, who thinks he can control & have Alex whenever he wants.
In the end though, it's Alex who holds all the power & brings Nathan to his knees.
Alex's innocence, sweetness & determination to have her opinion & views heard is ultimately the power that wins out.
Alex challenges Nathan & that is not something he's used to.
They work so well together as a couple.
I can't wait for you all to meet them & fall in love with them as much as I have.
Another brilliant book written by this author.

There are very few authors that I know that can tease the hell out of their work and deliver every single time. Aubrey Parker is on my short list of one who does this to me without question with every page he writes.

This new venture called the Trillionaire Boys Club, grabs you by the seat of your pants and throws you into this thrilling, sexy, mysterious world of incredible wealth and power. The first book of 7 in this series is the The Connector.

Here we are introduced to the elusive, womanizing, billionaire bad boy Nathan Turner, who is the brains behind the operation. He connects people with as much wealth and power as he has. His goal, one thing, create an organization that can tip the balance of power in the world and bend to the whim of The Syndicate at a moments notice. He already has some famous billionaire bad boys on board. Daniel Price, Hunter Altman and Caspian White. Nathan needs to get Ashton Moran on board, but that is not as easy as he hoped. In addition, he is met with resistance when faced with convincing the Old Money.

Nathan, knows he's the master of of his fate and nothing can get in his way. That is until Alex Wynn, a college student with brains and beauty finds herself overhearing a secret conversation that leads her to believe that she too is capable of making deals and connections just like Nathan. Alex, is playing with fire and she knows that. Bending ;) to Nathan's demands, she easily finds herself in some compromising positions.

Has Nathan finally met his match? Is Alex the one woman that he can't toss aside? Money, power, and lust rule in the world of The Syndicate. Steamy and fast paced, this is just the beginning of our journey into this world. Looking forward to getting to know more about these bad boys and what and who they can get there hands on next.

A must read!!!!

Imagine what you would do if you had access to a Trillion dollars? The power that would come with it? You would be untouchable. Nathan Turner is a connector in the business world. Everything he has ever achieved was by connecting people to people and helping everyone get step-up in the world. He is a favors guy, if you need the right person for the job then for a favor Nathan will hook you up. Nathan started with absolutely nothing and then by connecting others - he became a billionaire. Nathan Turner has an idea; he wants to group together a select few billionaires and form a Syndicate. A Syndicate that will become known as the Trillionaire Boys' Club. He has most of whom he needs except for one Ashton Moran - a loud-mouth clothing mogul who is a publicity whore. With him involved, then this club will reach higher limits and goals. Enter Alex Wynn, she comes from a family of entrepreneurial and wants in with Nathan's world. She knows that she can make a difference and help him achieve his goal. Alex isn't the type to back down from a challenge and Nathan soon realizes she won't be that easy to shake. So what does he do? He trains her and teaches her that with negotiations and power that Alex can use her seductive body and sex to get her way and achieve greatness.
Has Nathan finally met his match? Is Alex the one woman that he can't toss aside? Money, power, and lust rule in the world of The Syndicate. Steamy and fast-paced, this is just the beginning of our journey into this world. I am now looking forward to reading Ashton's story next in the Clothing Mogul and to see the direction that Aubrey takes this series.

While The Connector has the brains, charm, stamina, and of course money, power, connection, influence to pull off any deal/plan/enterprise that he sets his mind to doing. It was fortunate or unfortunate for Mr. Nathan Turner that one young, little Ms. Alex came tumbling in on his venture.

For me the intrigue to this one was the idea that a group of billionaires or millionaire could pool their resources and assest to make a trillion dollar prospect and rule over much. This one got me in the door. I want to see if this series will deliver what the door has now opened up. She just how far this group of mega investors will go to achieve the ultimate prize.

The Connector is the first volume of the "Trillionaire Boys' Club" by Aubrey Parker. By its synopsis, it sounded like it was going to be like a light easy paced reading but it turned out to be something else. I excepted it not to focus so much on the sexual side of it but I was wrong.

Nathan Turner is a millionaire or more than that even! He's that kind of guy who think they can get it all just by the looks! The only difference is that Nathan was not expecting to fall in love at all! After going to lecture at a college, he got a glimpse of Alexandra. A 18-year-old young woman who just finished high school and doesn't have any idea of who Nathan is.

Her friends almost mock her because Nathan is a complete strange to her. But soon she realizes that he is a very handsome guy. Due to her business ideas, she decides to go to his office. But what happens really surprises her. And it's from this point on that the story goes to a path that I was not expecting.

The synopsis focus a lot on the business aspect of the plot. Nathan may be considered an entrepreneur who has a valuable company and now he's looking for partners for his "club". That would be something interesting to see what Nathan would do to get what he wants. Instead, the story is based on the sex-relationship of Nathan and Alexa.

I get that this is an erotic-kind of book, but I think that it was not necessary to base the all the plot on that. The business side would give the story a different perspective and would make it more likeable.

Despite the aspects I mentioned before, "The Connector" is still a good book. Nathan and Alexa are quite unique characters and the plot is really light. I'm looking forward to read the next volume of the "Trillionaire Boys’ Club".

Aubrey Parker is an intelligent author, and the concept for this book is brilliant. It's totally unique and like nothing I've read before. I felt I was getting a look behind the scenes of a big merger deal and how a billionaire's brain works and what drives them to make more money even though they have enough to last several lifetimes.

I really enjoyed Nathan's interaction with Geoffrey, actually Geoffrey was my favorite thing about this book. I also enjoyed the interaction between Alex and her roommates Jenna and Corey. That being said, there are a lot of things about this book I didn't like. I felt no connection between Nathan and Alex, none, zip, nadda. The two together made no sense to me. I hated that Alex was 19 and so naive, I never saw her supposed confidence, she came off as a dumb kid. Nathan had no redeeming qualities. The sex scenes made me cringe, they were more perfunctory than sexy. And there was really no background story about Nathan, I have no idea who he is or where he came from.

The writing is good at times brilliant, but it just wasn't all that enjoyable to me. Of course this is just my opinion. I think I'm going to have to pass on my invite into The Syndicate.

Love the concept of the story, it's very unique and really a good start for a series but I had a hard time connecting with the main characters. Maybe it was just me, but I just needed a little more interaction between them to really connect with then and believe her love. You know how it is first impression are hard to forget and if at first they are not good (the H/h) they had to redeem his/herself I for me that didn't happen.

Nonetheless I'm still very excited to see how all this is gonna go and see how each piece of the puzzle fit.

Nathan is a man that does not like to be questioned, "Nathan’s eyes snap to mine. “It’s not weird for a man to appreciate a woman. It’s not weird at all.” Nathan confused me at times, but overall I liked this book.

If you took the rather tired old feminist standpoint, it would be easy to criticise this, the first book in the Trillionaire Boys' Club series by saying the central character, Nathan Turner is a bullying mysoginist. I think that is a facile and wrong judgement. Here we have something far more interesting. This is a literate and intelligent insight into the power dynamics which operate between men and women in the realms of sex and business and also between men and men.
Many romantic, erotic novels are written by women nowadays and I found this one refreshingly different as it was written by a man. Parker plays around with the usual and expected elements of this genre and comes up with believable and interesting characters. Alex, the female at the centre of this story is different, she captures your sympathy from the start and shows that women aren't all cast in one mould. She is multi-faceted, young, strong, yet vulnerable and I found it fascinating to watch her grappling with situations which she at times feels overwhelmed by, then suddenly digs deep and is able to come up with an added twist which turns things on its head. Nathan is also explored very thoroughly and we get real insights into his psyche. He's a typical billionaire bad boy who has to have a rethink when he meets Alex and sparks fly.

"Geoffrey found a guy with my exact build, tried an alteration on one of my suits, then calibrated once I found time to try them on. Now I use that same stand-in for all of my tailoring, because I’m too busy to stand in one place. I barely attend my own meetings. I don’t answer my own phone. I have to do my own workouts, unfortunately, but I have three personal trainers, a nutritionist, a cook, and several cross-discipline instructors for the sports I enjoy most, all at my disposal to tell me exactly what to do and when."

It's an enjoyable read with a few elements which make you laugh at the sly humour at times. I'm looking forward to the next in the series.

I am calling it quits after reading 80% of this book. I am done. I want to give books a chance, and I want to be open to different attitudes towards relationships and sex... but this book makes me slightly sick. This man is manipulative, and although the girl consents to have sex with him (whenever they get together) it feels like sexual harassment to me. There is not heart in this story. It is 100% lust. The other thing is this man is supposedly teaching this little girl business tricks by giving her examples playing with her body. This is just not for me. Nothing is realistic to me. A dominating sexual relationship isn't hot to me. I like equality. It feels like he is raping her at times. Like I said I want to be open to how others do things, but this is just a fantasy. It is a pretty nasty fantasy to me. I get enough of the picture now. I am so done. I found the business lessons more interesting than any of the story or characters... And the advice wasn't even that good for business. I didn't hate this story like I have with others, but definitely didn't like it at all. I don't need this kind of torture.

A spicy romance of a young college woman, Alex, and the powerful man, Nathan, who is attempting to form a boys' club of equally powerful billionaires.

Playing with the big boys may get Alex burned (and certainly screwed), but gutsy Alex goes toe to toe with Nathan trying to broker a deal that will give her an internship or job.

Who will triumph in this battle of wills? Who will give in and admit that it is more than just power and sex? That maybe love connects them after all.

A bit more graphic and crude than many contemporary romances, and in this era of #metoo, there are some moments that seem a bit like sexual harassment or sexual predation.

The beginning of a great series. This book was well written with a great plot and adorable characters. So much fun with lots of emotion, surprises, sex, drama and passion. Master networker Nathan, the man behind the curtain who creates the Trillionaire Boys Club meets up with 18 year old college student Alex Wynn and his life is never the same. Nathan who is close to then years her senior has finally met his match. A great story that is well written with fun characters. You will love this story and be hooked on the series. I voluntarily read an arc copy of this book.

The Unsettling Age Gap

I liked that Nathan was trying to put together a group of influencers that could hold real clout. I felt like that part could have been expanded on. He could have met with people already in his group, discuss politics or power.
I found it odd that Alex was so much younger though. The age gap made me uncomfortable along with how forceful Nathan was with her. I would even understand it a little better if Alex were in her last semester of college instead of being brand new.

Holy crap! I love Aubrey's books so much...and the SYSK at the end is amazing! Aubry's books give you that hot sexy romance that you want to read, plus so much more. They make you think and pay attention. Think ahead and keep stuff in mind for the next plot or when it will connect. Perfect! This is one I will be thinking about for a while. Not the worst book I’ve read but also no the best. Will I read the remaining 8 books? Yes I will because I’ve read the rest of this series that never seems to end. The first three books were good. But the ones I really liked were Trevor’s Halem 1-4 those were good books. The rest seem to all fall kind of flat.

Different in an interesting way...

Well, Aubrey Parker spins a yarn, that’s for sure. I was almost uncomfortable with the way Nathan treated Alex, but then I got to know him as the story progressed. I felt the end was rushed a little. I wanted more of the unfolding petals of that flower—instead of the current ending.

I’ve never read a book where I disliked every character, but I especially disliked Nathan. He basically harasses Alex, practically forcing her to have a sexual relationship with him. He tells her all her power is due to using her body and sexuality.

I definitely won’t read any more of this series.

Really Great

I love this story. Alex and Nathan are really good. The building of there relationship is interesting. Not your standard relationship. Which is perfect for what I like to read. The writing and flow of this book is on point. I can't wait to read book 2.
