Brooks Barry is a corporate shark and one of the youngest billionaires in Australia. For the last five years he’s travelled the world, buying up floundering businesses, streamlining them and then selling them off for profit. He was good at what he did, but there was something missing in his life. When one of his good friends falls in love, Brooks decides that maybe it’s time to come home and actually live in the mansion he’d built for his wife before she left him for her ex-boyfriend. Seeing Hunter and Bailey together makes Brooks think that maybe he could find that if he would only stop running from the heartbreak of his divorce.
Harper Fenwick has been a nanny for the last five years, but she’d never had to face this situation before. Her employer, Heather, has decided that she’s sick of being a single mother and instructs Harper to take her daughter, Piper, to her father, only he doesn’t know she exists. When she first lays eyes on Brooks Barry, she can barely get a word out due to a large part of her brain shutting down as lust takes over her frontal cortex. Now she has a major crush on her boss and she still has to explain about the five year old little girl who’s dying to meet him.
*This book is intended for readers 18+ and contains swearing and hot sex scenes
I am a business owner, artist, cook, mother and wife. I live on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia with my wonderful husband, two beautiful sons, a dog and a cat (both of which are female because, hey, we needed to balance all that testosterone!)
I am a ferocious reader with eclectic tastes and have always wanted to write, but never had the opportunity due to one reason or another (excuses, really) until finally taking the bullet between my teeth in 2014 and just making myself do it.
I love to write stories with heart and a message and believe in strong female characters who do not necessarily have to be aggressive to show their strength.
The Billionaire Daddy is the second installment within the Young Billionaires series.
First off, I'm going to be honest here. I didn't remember anything from the first book. Heck, I couldn't even tell you when I first read the previous book unless I looked it up. Which, yes, I'm currently too lazy to do. Since it's about two different people I didn't really feel the need to backtrack. Maybe one day I will.
In this, you will meet Harper, Brooks, and Piper. Harper is a nanny and currently takes care of Piper. While Brooks is Piper's sperm donor and has no idea she even exists. Well, that certainly changes when Harper and Piper show up at his front door. Suprise!?
At first, I wasn't a huge fan of Brooks. He was kind of rude to people when he didn't need to be. Then everything changes after he meets his daughter. He became so freaking likable that my face hurt from smiling all the damn time.
Then there's Harper and I really enjoyed her relationship with Piper. Heck, I even forgot about Piper's real mother because it didn't seem like she even wanted Piper to begin with. Harper was most definitely the mother figure in Piper's life. Hands down.
Other than that, I really enjoyed Brooks and Harper getting closer to one another. Then the drama came and ugh, I was annoyed with how easily a certain someone was being manipulated. I wanted to rip out all of my hair at one point. Luckily, things worked out for the better, but it did feel a bit rushed.
As soon as I read he was a Dad I one click this book IMMEDIATELY! there is something about single dad books that I just love.
We have Brooks that is the father of a 4 year old girl without knowing it... until the nanny of that girl (Harper) steeps into his house with the news that they are moving in.
(Brooks was married to Heather but she left him to be with Adam (her ex-boyfriend) and the supposedly father of Piper until they realize he isn't, and Harper has always been Piper nanny)
I wasn't a fan of Brooks at the beginning of the book because he was so rude and so over the top... but I guess he really needed his coffee because after that I couldn't stop falling in love with him. First, the way he embraces his new role as a dad immediately and tries to really know his daughter. second, that man was HOT, that first "sex" scene between him and Harper was amazing!
And then is Harper, she is Piper's nanny but mostly her mother figure, because Piper's real mom doesn't care too much about her. From the moment she sees Brooks she finds him deadly attractive and tries to support him and guide him in his new role as a father. I love the relationship she had with Piper and her storyline was quite simple but at the same time well written. She did not only took care of Piper like she was her mother but she also had to endure with the bad treatment from be employed by Heather and the fact that Adam tried to rape her.
Now... unfortunately Harper wasn't perfect and when Heather comes crashing back into Brooks's life and manipulates Harper to think that maybe they are getting back together she just believes every single lie and it reach to a point where I wanted to slap some sense into her. What is it with this people that they don't hear or demand explanations, it really frustrated me!!!. Specially because Heather also tells lies to Brooks but... one, he doesn’t want to believe them and two, he doesn’t care and rather leave this in the past in case it is true. *why couldn't Harper be like that :'(* And unfortunately the end felt rush, the author could have given us a little more towards the end.
And, YES!... I'm still going to keep reading this series because the next book is about MASON and the fact that he is a nerd and socially awkward is the best!. this book has my name written all over it!
This was a really good book, but the ending was very disappointing. Especially because there was no epilogue. There was an HEA, but I feel like I didn't get closure.

This was book 2 in the series. It was pretty good. You don’t need to read this series in order, but really helps with knowing the other characters. This author was new to me, but I loved book 1 and went a head and bought the series, so worth it. Overview: Brooks was making changes in his life and decided to move back to his house vs traveling all the time. After the 1st night in his house he woke up grumpy and wanted coffee, but the dang thing wouldn’t work, the door bell was ringing. He stormed to the door to find A beautiful girl at the door he didn’t know. Harper was trying to talk to grumpy in his boxer briefs but couldn’t focus. He made a deal if she could fix the coffee pot he would talk to her. Brooks got dressed and Harper turned the power on to the whole house to make coffee. Harper broke the news to him he was a dad and his Ex wife Heather kicked them out of the house while she went on a cruise and he needed to take care of his daughter Pipper and employee her as the nanny since she was the nanny for the last 5 years. Brooks was freaking out, he was a dad, he had nothing in the house and needed furniture and now kid stuff too, plus try not to fall in love with Harper. Harper was desperate to get a roof over her and Pippers head asap and teach Brooks to be a dad. But she was not expecting what she gets in return. Harper gets a pay raise big time, a car, plus spending money for Pipper, to top it off he paid off her school loans. They had finally gotten in to a great rhythm when out of the blue his Ex wife comes back and causes issues. Even though he has no feeling for Heather, she manipulated everything and turns everyone against each other. Brooks wants more out of life now that he has seen what family means.
After reading the first book of this addictive series, I couldn't wait to pick up Brooks’ story after learning about his heartbreak in The Billionaire Stepbrother. Yet again, Emma Lea didn't disappoint and I couldn't put it down. I feel meeting Harper allowed Brooks to finally heal and move on with his life. As with book 1, there's some very hot scenes, but also some romantic ones that have you sighing. Brooks is an amazing father and I loved his scenes with Piper who is the cutest and soon has him wrapped around her little finger lol.
It's unusual for me to really dislike a character as I can usually find something good about them, but boy did I hate Heather who was selfish and mean. To me, this just shows how amazing the author is as it takes talent to make a reader feel something so strongly.
I can't get enough of this series and I'll definitely be downloading the other books when I can as I want to learn more about the other guys and the lucky ladies they fall in love with. After reading the first two books of this series, I definitely wouldn't hesitate to one-click any book by this author, and I fully recommend that you read this 5 star series!
Harper and Brooks were absolutely perfect for each other. I loved how Brooks was with his daughter Piper. that little girl was loved my both Harper and Brooks equally! It was fun to seem all together. I loved everything about these two. 💚
Sweet and sexy with a slow burn. Brooks gets the surprise of a lifetime when Harper ( the nanny) lands on his doorstep with his daughter that he didn't know he had. Divorced for 5 years his ex wife left him for another man never telling him she was pregnant. Great story!!!
I do not like an manipulative ex. I loathe that angle. If I had known upfront that it would be part of the story I wouldn’t have read the book. I now skipped big parts of the book because I just ughhhh HATE with a passion an manipulative ex. I almost chose to DNF, but I was invested in Brooks and Harper. But dear lord, it took willpower.
Riddled with typos and small editing errors surprisingly doesn't detract from the story as much as it usually does. I love the Harper, Brooks, and Piper combo and enjoyed watching both the story and series evolve.

This was everything I love in a book!!! Harper and Brooks are very likeable and throw Piper in the mix, and you have a home run!!! I really love this series!!!
I loved the first one but I was over 50% in this one and I wasn’t as invested in the story, I actually stopped reading and didn’t pick it back up, so I’ve decided to DNF it.
He finds out he has a small child when her nanny shows up on his doorstep with the little girl in tow.
I am enjoying this series so much. The men are flawed, but realistic. The story could happen (except for the made up country). The women are strong, but have their own hang ups. The characters have all been real. The story of Brooks & Harper includes an almost 5 yr old girl, a corporate raider, an unfit mother and a protective nanny. A solid story that was a good read.
I’m only on the second book, but I have a good feeling about this series.
