This is very strong and vivid! I immediately felt like I was in the 18th century, walking the cold Boston streets with Mary. She is already very pregnant when we meet her. She hasn't made many plans for her life or made very many decisions yet, and time is running out. This follows her along as she struggles to make the best decision for herself and the baby in a world where her options appear to be quite limited. I really liked Mary's strength and thought process. Very much looking forward to a novel from Michelle! :)
