Although I don't have diabetes myself, my interest in the subject started when I was nearly diagnosed with gestational diabetes with my second daughter. My pickyness has also spurred a passion for finding delicious foods than are also healthy. I think there is a misconception about diabetic diets that you are extremely limited, but eat what you love Diabetes Cookbook by Lori Zanini RD, CDE proves that you can create tasty, balanced meals with less effort than you'd expect. The first chapter does a wonderful job of explaining how our bodies process food as well as tips and substitutions to ease the anxiety of balancing meals and make it enjoyable, which inspires a healthier lifestyle. One thing I've enjoyed that is different from most cookbooks I own are the plate icons for easier balancing of meals.
I received a review copy of this book from the publisher.

Great advice

This was very good info. Which I wish doctors would tell patients about instead of adding more meds. I would like to have this book in my library.
