He Called Her: Pentecostal Women in Ministry

Rate this book
Through careful study of the Scriptures and sound biblical teaching, Daniel Koren has provided a thorough and definitive work on the topic of women in ministry. Any person wanting to know what the Bible has to say about women in ministry should read and study this book. “We are always excited when a book inspires us or significantly adds to what we know. Yet, once in a while a book comes along that surprises us, reframing the way we think. This is just such a book.” – David Norris, professor of biblical theology, Urshan Graduate School of Theology

This is book is incredible!! So full of scriptural insight. Bro Koren digs deep into and dissects the Word to show that women have been and are called by God into various ministries. I HIGHLY recommend this book to any and everyone. Whether you are a proponent of women in ministry or have your reservations, this book is a must read for all!

I am not against women in ministry. This review is only regarding this book as a work. I was impressed with the quality of the book and the organization of the contents. As such, I expected to find a thorough and well considered discussion. I did not. It contained logical fallacies, poor exegesis, straw-men arguments, and incomplete thoughts that seemed to wander at times into unnecessary diversions. I was left confused by the hermeneutic approach and disappointed at the content.

I thought this was and is an excellent book. Even in our modern society many men have misunderstood the Scriptures concerning women in the ministry.
I was also happy to see that the author, Daniel Koren, did not leave out the many women who may not be called to a pulpit ministry, but they still love and serve God in many other ways.

Definitely a book you want to read if you are struggling with who God called to do his work, or if you are struggling to believe that God has called you to do his ministry

I loved it!! There are some things I would love to discuss with the author about for clarification, but I have learned so much from this. All lady ministers or sisters in the gospel who have a calling to any type of ministry on their lives NEED to read this book!!

I really enjoyed this topic being discussed. I believe that for far too long, women have been left out of the conversation when it comes to ministry. Yet, there have been so many influential women in UPCI that have laid foundations for great ministries to come after them. My only thought is, I wish there was more written on this subject. God calls women and men to be his disciples.
