Just got back from a weekend stay at a house in the redwoods along a beach. Among the books left out for renters was "Sketching: A Complete Kit for Art Enthusiasts", by Philip Berrill. Berrill published a number of art books, and I've only read this one, so I can't say if the art here is representative or not, but, wow, it was... pretty mediocre.
