My my my, did I love this book! 😍
It was absolutely lovely. After reading “a complicated affair” by Kian Rhodes, her writing style sparked my interest in her work and I began to look for her other books and found out that this series is quite famous and it’s about Alpha/Omega and shifters other than just wolves. Well, sign me up! I was determined to read the whole series and I’m so glad that I started immediately.
The novel was relatively short. Nonetheless, it was quite well written. I loved both MCs, Trevor and Clint. I am so happy that after being abused by an evil alpha for five years and shipped off to an auction house, Trevor met with his true love just by pure luck and got an ultimate HEA in the end. I also loved how caring, determined and protective Clint was. Plus, the sex is soooooo HOT! What salacious scenes .. 😏 Mama needs more of this series! 😂 Immediately off to read the second book in this series.

Addictive!
Mmmmm...this shifter novella is no five-star meal. It’s not even a buffet. What it is, is a bag of crispy, salty, greasy potato chips. Not filling, not good for you, but sooooooo addictive.
You’re not sure why, right? It’s the same for me with this book, I found myself devouring this greasy and salty treat. Nutrition? Bahhh, who needs it?!
So, this fast food of a novella had me hooked until I swallowed the last tasty bit. I even licked my fingers....and I NEVER do that!
Aside from food, what is this book? It’s set in a shifter, Mpreg, omega verse world. There are even dragon Shifters, the rumor goes.
Clint, an alpha werewolf, needs an omega. He goes to the omega auction and sees his soulmate: a human omega who can’t go into heat. He buys him for an outrageous sum. Sorry, it's a 1 star material. And I am seriously duped by 600 plus worth of rating for this book with several hundreds 5 stars and 4 stars. Huh?
I felt like a ping-pong going back and forth switching between the minds of the Omega and the Alpha.
The book reads like a web novel instead of a published novel. Most web novels/online stories writers favors this format as most aren't skilled enough to write in 3rd person point of view. So they would start each chapter plastering the name of whichever character who is going to do the narration. I do find this form of storytelling frustrating to read because at times I had to check back on who's mind I was inside of and this indeed breaks up the momentum and flow of the story. I am not saying that writing in first person point of view is a bad thing or that I dislike it entirely. No. Because I know there are skillful authors out there who could deliver engaging storytelling in that format without any hiccups.
Aside from the POV issue, another major fail is repetition. Repetition in a story is a big no no! I am not in a cave and do not need echos. I don't find it necessary to have each character repeating previous scenes from their own point of view. It is forgivable if it is important for the sake of building the story with essential details but not otherwise.
So, what about the story itself? One word. Uninspiring. Need a few more words? Formulaic, totally forgettable, flat characters etcetera etcetera...
Mpreg any good? Nope. Not much of it to go around. It is more on the commonplace alpha shifter meets mate, rescued mate (somewhat), go goo-goo over each other then have sex and more sex. Lastly ends it with mention of pregnancy and they lived happily ever after. The End.

Soul Mate for Sale is an M/M shifter story with dash of A/B/O dynamics, a touch of mpreg magic and a sprinkling of tasty KNOTTING action! (Can’t say that last one without some emphasis!)
The whole premise of this series kind of worried me going in, with the idea that, in this ABO world, unwanted Omegas are sent to an illustrious Omega Auction where Alpha’s can select and bid on Omegas of their choosing. It was all very Roman slave auction for me, and I was certainly concerned when our (human) Omega MC, Trevor, was initially put on display in a chair “much like the one in a gynecologist's office” for the Alpha’s to take turns “inspecting” the goods. Eek! Poor Trev. Thankfully, our Alpha MC, Clint, is quick to scent Trevor as his verwan (AKA his soulmate) and swiftly wins the bid to keep Trevor as his.
This story was actually kind of sweet once I got past the barbaric auction aspect and the horrible treatment Trevor had endured at the hands of his previous Alpha. Clint and his twin brother Colt were a tasty pair of kind, fair and fiercely protective Alpha’s that treated Trevor with the reverence he deserved as a rare male human Omega. Sadly, Trevor’s past experiences with cruel Alpha’s meant he was apprehensive to such humane handling at first, but his instinctive attraction to Clint meant he was quick to overcome his hesitations, and soon found himself wrapped up in a passionate coupling with his new (forever) mate.
I liked it and I’ll be back for more.

I tried to read Soul Mate for Sale twice before and gave up.
Until I spotted it on Audible Escape. A good narrator can make such a difference! Alexander Collins has this deep, monotone, relaxed, soft tone that fits well and allowed me to sink into the story.
Hmm, this was a surprisingly addictive read. As in, I'm jumping straight into the next one, and I'm not quite sure why?
It's a predictable A/B/O, omegaverse plot.
Wolf pack mistreats omega - omega saved by big, strong, gentle alpha - soulmates (seelenverwandte)/ insta-lust - magic dick heals all emotional/physical trauma - mated/In love - wolf babies.
😳 And, I liked it!
Everything from character depth to world building is present but in its infantile stage.
🤷🏽♀️This isn't perfect, but there is something about Soul Mate for Sale that sank it's claws into me.
I'm also very curious about this barbaric world where Omega's are auctioned off to the highest bidder for breeding purposes. It actually get's pretty dark during the auction scenes, which was surprising because for the most part it's a pretty light, feel-good read.
Definitely worth a read/listen if anyone is in the mood for a quick shifter book that delivers a recognizable and well loved A/B/O plot. Pure escapism, delivered, silver platter.

There's knotting and Mpreg in this series!! I'm so happy!
I liked the story, especially how sweet and understanding Clint was with Trevor, and look forward to continuing the series.
The narration though...had issues. From the audible intake of air for many sentences to the sometimes lilting way Collins would finish a sentence at times, making it seem like it was a question...while I kind of got used to both after a while, ultimately I didn't think this was even close to Collins' best work.
If someone was interested in Paranormal stories with excellent audio by Collins I'd steer them towards Charlie Cochet THIRDS series (under his Mark Westfield brand).

I liked this, even though the writing was quite awful. But there was enough hurt/comfort going on that I liked it anyway.
We have your typical abused (human) omega, and the sweet Alpha that rescues him. The sex was hot, there is knotting, and the omega ends up pregnant. What more could I want from an mpreg book..

Well it wasn't awful and there were some interesting parts... honestly, I'd probably be interested in the next one if it was free.
I can freely admit I only tried this one because it was narrated by Alexander Collins (aka Mark Westfield, who is one of my all time favorites) and after seeing how dirty this one was I can see why he's using the other name - lol, kind of an audio nom de plume.

Spoiler Ahead This was a short quick read that I wanted more of a back story for both MC's. Trevor is an Omega and a human whose Alpha decides to sell him because he is unable to produce pups in the five years that he has been in the pack he has never been in heat so he thinks something is wrong with him. Clint is the Alpha of his pack and it is time for him to start producing pups and to find a mate. So along with his twin brother Colt he goes to the Auction house looking for an Omega. When Clint first see's Trevor he knows that he has found his mate. He can't believe how his mate was treated he didn't have any clothes and he had whip marks all over his body. I really liked this book and the pack took to Trevor right away. The sex scenes in this book were pretty good and when Clint was unable to control himself he had to take care of himself in the woods. This is a new series to me and this was my first time reading this author. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

The cover is no good, like someone just stuck a whole bunch of images and called it even. Because forests and mountains = wolf shifter.....

Interesting but short!
I liked the dynamics in this story. It's not particularly original or outstandingly good but it is a very solid introduction to this series with two decent MCs who had their own voices.
The surrounding support cast of characters, while not given a great deal of depth, still seemed real and there was no angst!
I'm looking forward to the others in the series, nice light reading to pass an hour or so.

A little too simple to my liking. Maybe because it's short. But again, I've read other short Alpha/Omega wolf-shifter stories with more essence...
I simply didn't buy Trevor being so meek and afraid one minute, and brazenly riding his Alpha's cock the other... And Clint? I wasn't even able to know him better. Only knew he was kind and smitten with his little human Omega...
Anyway, this short and underdeveloped instalment won't deter me from reading more books in this series ;)

*snort* Sometimes I understand why romance authors are frowned upon...
This was not a bad book as such, but maaaaaan the clichés... UGH, I cannot in good conscience give this more than 2 stars, even though it was an entertaining read to some degree.
Trevor is a barren human omega. Normally an omega would be cherished, but for some reason Trevor is not! He is basically raped daily, and since he cannot bear pups, put up for auction to make money for his backwards, uneducated, abusive pack (this is all thanks to the Alpha).
At the auction we have Clint and his twin Colt. Clint is the Alpha, Colt has decided to be an entourage in the pack, and not fight for the top-post. When Trevor is wheeled into the auction house they cannot see him, since he is a human omega and the interest is enormous. But not to worry since Clint is pre-approved for the largest amount (basically the richest dude at the auction) he gets to see Trevor first... UGH, and then:
OF COURSE Clint can smell Trevor even though he's wearing suppressors for his hormones.
OF COURSE Trevor can smell Clint among all the other Alphas.
OF COURSE Clint spends an UNHOLY amount of money on Trevor.
OF COURSE they end up sleeping together the first night in Clint's home
OF COURSE Trevor is submissive, but not so much that Clint can't bring him out of his shell.
It's not that this was a bad book, but the clichés and the length means that I seriously cannot rate this book any higher.

I just stumbled across this coincidentally and as it was short and available on Kindle unlimited I gave it a try. Usually I am not really into shifter stories, there are very few I find appealing, but this one was a surprising exception.
The M/C's are interesting and the story is beautiful, nice and sweet.
This was a short and steamy fun read. 4 stars for me and recommended!

I love mate type books and this one was nicely done. A/B/O universe type stories have been a particular addiction for me lately. Though short this is very well done and the hurt/comfort theme is solid.

This was a straight-forward, male/male romance story of an abused human omega sold and rescued by an attentive, caring Alpha werewolf. It's set in an "Alpha/Beta/Omega" universe (where male Alphas knot and impregnate Omegas). The plot was simple, following the omega from abuse to life and love in a new pack. The theme of rescue was fine, but the characters were a bit flat, the chemistry between them had some sizzle but wasn't particularly enticing.
In many ways, this reminded me of a Stormy Glenn type of story, with better dialog but much less drama, plot, and relationship conflict. Overall, it was a pleasantly diverting novella, providing a bit of knotting and potential mpreg (male pregnancy) in a sweet, short A/B/O story. The sizzle was present but relatively tame, punctuating an enjoyable if not overly heated read.

An indulgent happy hour spent lost in this omega universe, I felt I shouldn't love it quite as much as I did.
Twin alphas Clint and Colt, agree on the spur of the moment to buy Trevor a human omega at an auction.
This is a hurt/comfort story with lots of pheromones swirling in the air as Clint finds his potential mate and sets about wooing Trevor. The sibling banter is fun too as Clint stumbles several times along the way.
Told in the first person from each of the MCs' POV. I enjoyed the brevity of the chapters as Trevor and Clint took turns to share their courtship. Clint sets out to prove to Trevor his worth not only as an omega but also as a cherished mate. Love it. Moving quickly on to the rest of the series.

Told in the first person from each of the MCs' POV. I enjoyed the brevity of the chapters as Trevor and Clint took turns to share their courtship. Clint sets out to prove to Trevor his worth not only as an omega but also as a cherished mate. Love it. Moving quickly on to the rest of the series.

That was a cute quick read. I read the whole thing while my 4 year old sat and watched The Lion King.
I just found the omegaverse early this year and I will admit that this genre fascinates me especially the mpreg.
This series focuses on Omegas who are no longer wanted by their current alpha and sent to the omega auction.
Even though this was just an introduction I was completely entertained.

Well, I liked this, enough to buy the next books in the series. I just hope they're longer. I'd have liked to find out more about the pack.

This was a book.
For the sad omega vibes and the traumatic background Trevor had, it was solved nearly instantaneously. The fated mates part was also very minor? I thought it would play a larger part but...nope. Maybe should have had less things going on - werewolves, shifters, omegaverse, heats, social structure, auctions...that was a lot to take on in so few pages.
Writing was a bit repetitive, and rehashing scenes from the opposite POV is never necessary. It also switched POV very very fast.
Overall it was an alright mindless read. No real depth, mildly entertaining, whatevs.
