More and more endless battle with an ending that has been done 3 times already in this series...they go into the beast and wake up the white.

World: The art is really messy especially all the battles and the armour and you don’t really know what’s going on, all you see is energy beams. The world building is also a mess with all the pieces coming crashing together and the magic system just throws out all the rules, this has been going on for more than 3 books now so I’m becoming redundant.

Story: More battle, more escalation and in the end we get the same ending as every time they face a black rukh being, they go inside the being and they wake the person up with white rukh, is there another ending? Also a back step to the end cause all the stops were taken out and we could not end the series here could we? It should have ended but nope, more stuff will be going on so they had to back step on the finale which now feels has been ramped to 1000000 and now we need to be okay with the next arc being 2000000...argh.

Characters: A lot of character and a lot of power magic stuff that happens but not a lot of depth. The end was very expected in a character standpoint and them all coming together and fighting was expected. The back step and the reveal of the Magi was meh.

Argh...this was not a good arc and it displays everything I don’t like about this mess of a book.

Onward to the next book!

I read volume 19 back in February, so it took a few pages to remember what was going on. If I loved this series, I'm sure I'd have the entire cast of characters memorized, but right now, I settle for just breaking the characters into two groups - basically "good" guys and the "bad guys". Simple, and, it works. Of course, within the "good" guys are "good" guys and "not so good" guys or rather, varied national ambitions and the like.

Anyway, big battle ends. The world is saved. The end. Or not. There are 17 volumes still to go in this series...

A review for books 1- 26

This Manga starts our humorous. I really enjoyed the characters at the beginning. The farther you read the deeper the plots become. Enjoyable at the beginning, and a must read for the later books. I can NOT wait for books 27 + Characters are real and raw. Everyone has there faults and I feel the author/artist dose a wonderful job of bringing everyones points of view, twisted though they might be, in to clear focus.

(note: I wouldn't recommend this manga for young teens. I fine the sexual innuendos pretty funny as an adult, but not really appropriate for younger audiences. Also the plot gets pretty dark at times. )

I read the English translation on KissManga.com

And with that, I'm caught up to where the show ended. Everything from this point on is new content!

Wow oh wow what a volume this was. The huge battle was amazing and had that feeing of a final battle, yet by the amount of volumes left and the way it all ended it clearly isn't so I'm even more curious at how the series might end. This is really close to where the anime ends so I'm getting closer to brand new content!!!! Yes please!!

Everyone continues to battle the Dark Djinn and they attempt to attack the medium but has a protective barrier around it. They discover that they have to defeat 10,000 dark djinn in order to weaken the medium.

A lot unfolds in this volume and a lot of history of Alma Tran and King Solomon's magi are revealed. A great volume and I can't wait to see which direction it heads in next.

I received this advanced copy from VIZ Media through Edelweiss in exchange for my honest review.
