*The Runaway Christmas Bride*A Royal Christmas Princess*The Jingle Bell Bride*The Christmas Contest*The Christmas Clues
Holly Yates is surprised to discover she is the lost princess of Coronia and now she needs anwers. Felix is a distant relative and next in line for the crown, but he never wanted it and is extremely happy when he finds Holly. As the two work out ways to decide who will be the next heir, they start to fall in love. A good fairytale love story.
This is another delightful festive read, with a young woman, struggling after nursing her dying mother, discovering that not only was she actually adopted but her real father is royalty and searching for her! She agrees to travel to meet him but is reluctant to have her identity made public before she has had the opportunity to meet her ailing father and discover more about the country he rules. With an opinionated, ambitious member of the press travelling with her, a Chancellor who obviously seeks to undermine her self confidence by overwhelming her with meetings and factual data, her ally through it all is the next in line for the throne, Felix. The problem there is she really likes Felix but is unsure who she should trust and what she should do. Discovering she's really a princess isn't anything like in fairy tales! To discover what happen you'll just have to read the story for yourself!
The angst and turmoil experienced by this young woman is emotionally portrayed, making it easy to relate to her as new possibilities unfold before her. It is a well paced story, with great characters and plenty of dilemmas. Another thoroughly enjoyable festive read to escape into, whatever the season!
I was gifted an ARC of this novel via NetGalley with no obligation or requirement to review it. This is my honest review after reading the ARC.
Super short, exactly-what-you-expect Christmas holiday romance with an American as a lost princess, a hot royal dude as the love interest, and a gorgeous, random European town. A Royal Christmas Princess is basically the book version of a Hallmark Christmas movie, and I enjoyed this fluff for what it was.
Character-wise, Holly and Felix had a good connection, and I liked how strong and sassy Holly was, and how quickly she took to her new role. Her love for dogs was also super cute. I felt that both Holly and Felix were a bit cookie-cutter - neither of them had any real flaws, so it's really hard not to love them. The villains, too, were exactly as expected. Writing-wise, this was also fine - nothing to write home about, but nothing stood out to me as egregious.
I whipped through this book in one day, eager to find out what would happen even though I kinda knew anyway. The only surprise for me was that it was a completely clean romance, which was a bit of a disappointment. But other than that, this was pleasant and exactly the fluff you want to whip through on a cozy December night. Read this when you're a little bit food-coma'd and full of a good holiday meal and you'll have pleasant dreams.
Overall 3 out of 5 stars Performance 3 out of 5 stars Story 3 out of 5 stars
Enjoyable holiday listen. 3.5*
sHe's NOt LiKe otHER gIRls While I quite enjoyed this audiobook, I couldn't help but think it's one of those books where the female main character is portrayed as being so special and different than every other girl. It wasn't so in your face as to make it/her unlikable, but it defintely had that vibe. I don't think I would have even hesitated even one minute if I was Holly, to stake my claim as princess. She, sadly, didn't have any family left in the states, didn't have a career, so why not grab this chance! I did feel sad for her, having lost her parents and pretty much being on her own. This was a cute read for the holiday. The narrator did a good job, I enjoyed her voice but she sounded quite a bit too posh for Holly, who grew up in Baltimore- definitely not Baltimorese!
This could have been a solid 3-star read for me but the poor editing was a bit too distracting. Otherwise, this was a fun, silly holiday princess romance - completely what I expected and exactly what I was looking to read right now. However... I definitely won't be picking it up for a reread on any future Christmas season.
This book was a perfect Christmas read. I will always love the secret princess story, who either doesn't know she's a princess or has been hidden all her life until all other royal options have been removed.
This story is about a young woman from Baltimore, who doesn't know that she was adopted by two people she thought all of her life were her parents. She only finds this out when she's watching a local news story about a royal prince who has a 24 year old picture of a little girl in a white lace dress. The little girl in the picture is currently the only royal direct heir to the throne of Caronia (made-up country).
The rest of the story is so delightful and sweet, but at the same time talks about some real world problems like healthcare costs and old infrastructure.
This was exactly the book I wanted. An American finds out that she is a long lost princess and falls in love on the way. It wasn't smutty and it was very sweet. I wouldn't say it was high art, but it was well written and perfect to usher in the Christmas season and celebrate the engagement of Harry and Meghan.
A Royal Christmas Princess was a cute holiday story which is what I was looking for but the editing and format made it difficult to read. It would make a good Hallmark movie.
Holly was barely making a living, working three jobs just for her basic necessities. Her life was turned upside down when Felix came to her town showing her baby pictures on television. After realizing that everything she thought she knew about her childhood was not completely true, she was at a loss of what she should do. I enjoyed Holly's character...she was passionate, smart, caring, and down to earth. She made it a point to be kind and treat people with respect. The plot was solid. Felix was a typical prince type..handsome, educated, sonewhat spoiled, yet kind. I was left with some questions, if he was a distant relative were they not cousins? They grazed over it saying his family tree was sketchy. However if he was in line to be the heir it seemed they had to be closer family wise than the author let on. I also thought there would be some closure with her American friendships. Overall though I still enjoyed the book.
I really enjoyed this clean romance by Scarlet Wilson.
Holly is a lost princess but she didn't realise that until she recognised her baby photo on the news. Her whole world turned upside down as she realised her parents who raised them weren't their biological parents.
Felix is a would-be prince, if he can't find the lost princess in time. He met Holly by chance and based on several items that Holly has in her possession, Felix believes he's found the princess.
Together they went to Coronia, for Holly to see the country for herself and to know the locals there. And of course, to meet her real father. While they are there, Holly and Felix grew closer and they realised they were falling for each other.
This story had a HEA ending so I was pleased with the way it turned out. A sweet short enjoyable read just before the festive holidays.
Prince Albert of Coronia is dying. His last wish was to find his long lost daughter so she can take the throne after he passes.
Broke and in debt after taking care of her sick parents, Holly Yates’ life is about to change drastically. When she hears of the search for a missing princess and the clues all point to her, she must find out the truth. Holly leaves Baltimore and heads for the small European country of Coronia with Felix De Luca, the man who would become prince if the princess is not found. Felix is thrilled to have found the princess. He is looking forward to Holly becoming the princess so he can return to New York where he can live a normal life out of the royal spotlight.
Holly discovers her love for Coronia and its people, while she tries to figure out her next step. Should be become princess or should she return to America and her old life? While Holly is making her decision, she has to deal with the evil reporter, Cassie Carmen, who is jealous of Holly and has her own plans to get ahead in life. She doesn’t care who she tramples on her way to the top. Holly and Felix also start to have feelings towards each other which will make Holly's decision on more difficult.
This magical story was a lot of fun to read. It was easy to visualize from the descriptions and dialogue. I could relate Holly's thoughts and emotions as I also found out about my biological father and met him when I was 25 too. I would recommend this book to anyone who is looking for good heartfelt holiday story. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Princess Diaries fans will surely want to check into this one, my fellow romance book loving friends. Ms. Wilson delivers a sweet, romantic, uncomplicated, mostly predictable but entertaining tale that features an equally sweet, perfect for each other main couple. The writing flowed, but I must admit the storyline didn’t feel that original. Meaning there really wasn’t any holding your breath in anticipation moments. You pretty much could guess what was coming your way, which was clearly outlined in the synopsis. I did, however, feel the growing attraction and deep respect Holly and Felix had for each other and was happy to see them finally profess their feelings and become an official couple. I also should mention I am thankful Holly was such a smart, classy, heroine with a backbone who stood up for herself whenever the need arose, but did so graciously and without malice.
Honestly, it basically unfolded like a Christmas themed Hallmark romantic movie. Felix played the dashing hero perfectly and the two conniving sub-characters, who tried to cause problems, were no match for this destined to be together main couple. Felix's support for Holly never wavered.
What was the passion meter on this one? Only a couple steamy, passionate kisses, folks. No, there was no naughtiness or lusty language here. It was all about lingering thoughts/glances and slowly getting to know each other before falling for one another. For this storyline, it certainly seemed to fit. Here’s to hoping my review has been helpful in someway to help you decide if you want to spend some Christmas time in Coronia.
Title: A Royal Christmas Princess, Author: Scarlet Wilson, Pages: 159, stand-alone, HEA, romance safe read, no cheating, no love triangle, no OW/OM drama, good guy hero, sweet/caring heroine who can speak up for herself, only a few passionate kisses, not steamy.

I really didn’t want to leave a bad review because I’m pretty sure if this was a movie it would be one I quite enjoyed. However, it wasn’t and that meant descriptions that sounded like a Hallmark Christmas movie but were annoying and lots of things that made little sense.
Maybe it was the mood I was in but I kept writing snarky comments on the kindle every few sentences and that means I was really annoyed since I don’t ever comment or underline anything because I just want to keep reading.
There wasn’t enough build up of the world and at the same time it was too much so it needed or more depth or none at all, the midterm doesn’t work very well.
Also, we keep being told the main character is very good and always gets to know all the people including the staff at the palace but we never see that at all and when they help her in the end it doesn’t make sense. We have heard their names before once, when we were told how international they were and how Holly enjoyed talking to them about politics in the kitchen after hours.
One more thing, what kind of religion was theirs. Because if we go by place it would be Catholic (but Catholics don’t have carol services and don’t celebrate Christmas before the 25th as it would still be Advent). It’s just confusing for no reason.
I could go on and on but I think this is enough. I wasn’t expecting this to be May favourite book of the year but this was a complete disappointment.
I just went ahead and made some of my kindle comments available. If someone was wondering what they were...
I think this book had a lot of potential that it did not quite fulfill, sadly. The premise that a "normal" American girl could be a princess without knowing it was promising.
(Wow, how many descriptive 'p' words can I think of for this review?)
Holly is out with her fellow dog walkers when she sees that there is a prince in Manhattan looking for a lost princess. Suddenly, Holly's baby picture turns up on the tv screen. This is the beginning of Holly's world being turned upside down.
This book moved too fast for my liking, (shocking I know). I think if this book was spread out amongst another 50 - 100 pages the story would have been better told. The characters should have been fleshed out better, and the plot should have been given the chance that it deserved.
Overall, I think this book did an okay job exploring what it may be like to live your life thinking you are someone, to suddenly be told your life is not what you thought it was.
A wonderful tale of a young woman not only discovering that she is adopted but that she may well be a real life princess. Her parents were wonderful people but they are gone now and she has a chance to meet her biological father and discover where she came from. She wants to explore the country of Coronia and get to know her father before letting everyone know that she, Holly Yates, is actually the lost princess of Coronia. Felix, the one everyone thought would take over the throne, is wonderful and helps her see the country and learn the ways of Coronia. The two become very close but they know their time is limited before her returns to NY. Will Holly take over the throne and will her story have the fairy tale happily ever after?
I love modern day royal romance books. It's a toss up if it will be a winner or not though. Luckily, A Royal Christmas Princess was fantastic. The writing was as smooth as butter and I melted into the pages. I was already partway before realizing it. First thing I loved about this book was Holly. She was a wonderful, humble, kind-hearted woman. She had so much spirit and love for everyone. I also think her obsession with dogs was adorable. It took me a little bit to like Felix, but he won me over in the end. Even though this was a simple romance and overdone plot, Scarlet Wilson made it her own. This book was clean, yet romantic. It read more like a Cinderella book or fairy tale that all girls can't help but love. Five glittery stars for The Royal Christmas Princess by Scarlet Wilson.
The perfect Christmas fairy tale of a lost princess. Holly is at her wits end after loosing her parents and mounting bills when she finds out that she was adopted and now might be the lost princess of Coronia. Her birth father, the king has one last wish on his death bed to find his daughter before he dies. Felix, soon to be prince ( he does not want) goes to the states to find Holly. He will whisk her off to Coronia to meet her father. Everyone falls in love with Holly, and even Felix.
I so enjoyed this Christmas fairy tale. Great characters and very descriptive writing of the scenes. I high recommend this book. I received this book from Netgalley for an honest review.
It was cute, it was sweet, but it was just like any other lost princess story/movie that we’ve all seen or read a million times. My biggest problem was the serious need for an editor, it was just sad. Major inconsistencies in a short story are crazy too, the biggest one that almost lost me was when he looked into her glowing blue eyes. This is ridiculous after how many times her bright green eyes that matched Alfred’s was mentioned or thought about. It was okay because it was a quick read but I’m glad I didn’t pay for it!
This was like Princess Diaries, but with an adult as the lead. I loved it.
Holly find a out she's the missing princess of Coronia and her father, the ruler, is dying. Will she accept her role and responsibility or will she go back to the US?
The scenes with Holly getting to know the people and country were wonderful! And Felix was dreamy, going with her around the city and helping her to fall in love with the place, and him.
I've been looking for the literary equivalent of a Christmas Hallmark movie, and this was the first one I could get through without wanting to tear out my hair. :P There was a number of silly grammar and punctuation mistakes that should have been caught in the editing process, but not so many that I had to put it down. It was fun and frothy, which is just what I was looking for.
Quick, cute, easy royal read. I loved how it started off different! It wasn't runaway prince meets girl who doesn't know him... it was a nice change! From there on though it was pretty basic. Good but not great.
