The box set is the way to go, the 4 parts form a marvelous world and story

The world building in Alien Former is wonderful, the characters kept me interested, the overall concept of a lone person from Earth, a "former" being sent to an Alien world with a 10 year head start on colonists so they can begin preparing the arrival area was well executed, and each of the 4 sections of this story added depth to the plot, more ideas and concepts to think on, and increased my respect for Joanna and Volistad even as I wondered more and more what it would be like to have Barbas in our lives.

I voluntarily reviewed this book after reading it in Kindle Unlimited. I was gifted with a copy, and switched to the Kindle Unlimited version when it was published.

While these four parts do come together to make a nice done in one story, I would enjoy returning to Chalice, perhaps as Nissi moves front and center, to discover what happens now.

I loved this box set. (I have not read the extra stuff at the end yet.) I am not going to spoil the story for you, but I think you will be surprised from the very first page until the last. I could hardly put the book down to sleep. I am so glad I got the box set so I could read the whole story at once.
The world building is excellent, and that has more than one meaning in this case! I also really liked the characters. From the heroine, Joanna, to Volistad and Nissikul, and even the Deepseeker and Barbas , everyone is developed to the point that you need to understand them.
There is building, destruction, pain, love, betrayal, war, and finally peace I really did not want the story to end.

That one was long. IT made all descriptions deeper and more detailed in whole perception.
Joanna is sent to a new planet bue wait a minute... Who is Barbara? What will happen when all she knows is AI in her head? I was really supprprised with a way that people were living - true predators.
Volistad - an young alien that just starter his adulthood life. Will he manage to get to understand Joanna that he considered a goddes? But gods seems not that good - what are all secrets of that people?
I enjoyed this book rather much. I hope there will be more books on that genere that would concentrate on characters, background or descriptions. That Mamed their story Unusual!

Alien Former Box Set is a set of 4 sci-fi romance books by Ashley L. Hunt. The 4 books take you on a journey to another world where you travel with Joanna Angeles and her AI lover Barbas, who are sent to make way for a group of colonists that will eventually live on the far away planet and a local ranger Volistad, who mistakes Joanna for a goddess. If you like Si-Fi this is a great read with twists and turns that will keep you reading til the end. With Action, romance and suspense all wrapped up in one series no reader can go wrong picking this up to read.
