Young chef Molly Knowles travels with her tiny blue house through the country. She isn’t sure what she is looking for, but when she tastes the food of Chiara Loss, she knows that she has found it.
After two years of hiding from the world, mourning the unexpected death of her lover, Chiara is ready to fall in love again. When Molly stumbles into Chiara’s life, both women have no choice but to accept that there is no way back.

What’s there to tell about me? I’m a writer, and it has taken me most of my life to admit that, even if writing has been part of my life since forever. I’m a woman, married to the woman who asked me in October 1981 if I cared for a cup of tea… Now we have one marriage, two sons and five cats.
~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~
This little gem of a story leaves the reader in a happy place, but possibly also wanting the story to continue. Molly is a woman who throws a coin to decide where to travel to next with her house on a trailer. She is searching out the best chefs and learns from them at every stop. We join her as she hits Seatown where she discovers a treasure she'd dreamed about, and we get to share those first steps to a brighter future. Sexy, seductive and special - if you like food as an expression of passion, and love of common values, this will please you. It certainly pleased me!
Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.
Okay, okay, I'm sorry. But this is a very short review for a very short book!
I'm all for insta-love, really I am, if it fits in the story. But this one?? Way way too fast for me!
I mean, physical instant attraction is a high possibility at a first meeting. It happens, it happened to me. But telling someone you love them in the very first conversation is too much.
It's only single person point of view, so I missed if Chiara'a reaction to Molly was as instant as Molly's was to her.
It only took me about an hour, 45 pages long. Had the book been any longer, I'm fairly certain I would have dumped it.
Food, deliciously described food. Yummy. The concept of driving around and finding a new place to stay a while was nicely written. My favourite part was when Molly wishes the best for her ex. Molly being a person who loves learning new foods meets a chef who has a delectable way for food preparation.
Being a tiny house owner – I must admit that the fact that Molly has a tiny blue house is what sold me on this book.
And I have to say – the tiny house did have a big role in the book overall. I loved how Molly traveled all over and learned how to be the best chef that she can. Chiara is … stuck in the past to say the least. And Molly helped show her that the future isn’t that bad.
The story does have a lot of food references, which is obvious because it’s about 2 cooks, but I have to say that I didn’t feel lost when it came to that part of the story. Some authors can make the reader feel stupid because they talk about foods that aren’t that common – that wasn’t the case with this book.
Overall – another super quick cute read that I am glad that I read.
