Ah so good! Something about the relationship in this one reminded me of the way Blue Sky Complex is written. Like they're different, but the feelings I get from BSC I also got from this. Kei Ichikawa is just too good.
Murakami works in sales and looks up to Honna, an editor of a trendy magazine his company does business with. Honna is cool, pretty, and good at his job. One day they both go to the same drinking party and Honna ends up drunk and passed out in Murakami's lap. Murakami ends up taking Honna home and the story goes from there.
I will say I think the back and forth with the cleaning felt too long? The way Honna started the relationship was a bit odd, but it was still cute. Once it started go deeper into their relationship and their realization of their feelings, though... I was sucked in. Definitely wanted more.
I was surprised to like this one as much as I did. The characters were likable and accomplished, they had good chemistry together, and I enjoyed the resolution of their budding relationship. It was also nice to see a conversation between the two men over their “ground rules” for intimacy since heaven knows how rare such conversations are in any romance but particularly BL manga!
I admire the author because they said "I will make this manga for myself, with a protagonist that is attractive to ME first of all" and then they did it. I want to do that too.
Reread September 2020 I'll change my last review, I think the one-shot, standalone is a good choice for this. It could probably go on, but in itself it's a complete story. I have no idea where the title comes from though.

Got this one through kindle. I guess it's just the one book? I almost wish there was a bit more, because by itself this was a bit plain. It felt like you just got to know the characters and then it suddenly ended.
I read this like 3 days ago and it was so bland that if someone held a gun to my head and told me to list one unique detail I'd just have to let them shoot me.
First off, yes, the tempo in this one is slow. That being said...
Chapter 6 starts off truly hilarious, and makes all the other chapters so worth it.
Two guys, so unsure, sitting around a laptop, searching for sex ed about gay sex for the third night in a row - HAVING A MEETING on how to actually be able to have sex with one another. About who should be top and bottom. Oh maaaaan, Ichikawa really is the queen of akward first sex situations.
And then totally deciding it via...rock, paper, scissors.
(And yeah, since I’ve already read a bunch of the author’s other works, my guess as to who was gonna be who was right.)

I haven't read a lot of manga/yaoi, but this manages to repeat all the tropes without adding anything fresh or interesting. It's very disappointing. The art is good, but the writing is off. I had to reread parts because the thoughts/dialogue don't flow. Honna's drinking & messy room are weak plot devices. They're like a big deal to bring the guys together but really not a big deal that would bring the guys together. If I keep trying to think of more to say, I'm probably going to reduce my rating even more so I'm going to stop now.
