This was the first time in a very long time that I used an official strategy guide in playing a CRPG (or any game for that matter). It was a lot of fun going retro and this book turned out to be a great resource that is well detailed, helpful and complete. The very lengthy interview with Ultima creator Richard Garriott is a nice bonus as well! My only complaint is that it offered up spoilers at every turn, and I had to be sure not to read too far into a section, lest be told exactly how that pans out. If you use it only when you're stuck, for maps and to not miss things in the game you may normally miss out on, its a solid resource.
