I am Tinalynge, an aspiring author who is deeply inspired by eastern fantasy such as wuxia, xianxia, and xuanhuan. The first story I wrote was Blue Phoenix, a series I poured my very heart and soul into creating.
Since I started writing, I have finished Blue Phoenix at eight books, Overthrowing Fate at three books and began Condemning the Heavens. Although I have finished two series so far, I still consider myself a beginner in the world of writing. I am aware that my writing still needs to evolve and grow to become better, and as a result, I work very hard daily to improve my writing and produce stories that people can enjoy reading.
Thank you, everyone, who has read my books, I am sure that with your continued support I will be able to continue improving and create worlds filled with wonder and excitement.
I originally decided to read this because I so thoroughly enjoyed the authors blue phoenix series. While I did enjoy this book I found it lacked the depth and creativity of her other books. Don't get me wrong, it is definitely worth reading, just not sure I would ever read it a second time.
Also, it really needed to be proofread. It obviously wasn't or someone just messed up big time. Chapters 16 and 17 are exact duplicates and many times I had to completely stop and reread a sentence to try and figure out the message due to the errors. In my opinion, if I buy your book expecting it to be proofread isn't too much to ask. I would have given it 4 stars, but lack of editing brings it down to 3 stars :(
This book was enjoyable, and fairly original. My one problem is that the narrator is not reliable. There is one spot that the main character is said to be a genius. Later he is said to be only a little above average. By the end of the book he is said to be a genius again. It gets a little confusing. Overall a good book
An excellent cultivation novel to hit the concept of cultivation right on the head. Though it was slow at some point, overall it was a very enjoyable story. I look forward to other books and this series.
It shares the worst aspects with the poorly translated/ written Chinese webnovels. They repeat something multiple times, and bring it up again and again to emphasize it. It's treating their readers like they are incompetent and need to be reminded what was said a sentence ago.
Maybe that is the effect they want, maybe the author wants the deeds to come across as epic, maybe they want to use filler to stretch the story, but it comes across as condescending.
I dropped another of the author's series because it was like a carbon copy of another, now this one is poorly written/ edited.
I had another series of the author I was thinking of trying, but now I think I will shelf that.
This was a great one. Not many of the cultivation books actually have romance. That added a nice tempering to a single minded revenge story. It kept things sufficiently different that the story wasn't what I expected much of the time. Lot's of training. Looking forward to find out what or who he feeds to his pet. Couldn't put it down.
All the good plot elements, torment, murder, betrayal, revenge, personal growth, budding romance and drive. The author's writing is getting better with each book as well. Looking forward to reading the next in the series.
This book is more than likely written by a person for whom english is most likely not the first language. There was never an opportunity to truly connect with the main character. It is written in the third person and was like reading a catalogue.
Fast paced page turner with interesting characters that you can instantly root for. To much cultivation not enough fighting but still I will be getting the rest of the series
I am a bigger fan of writing that shows instead of tells. This book as extremely heavy on the tell side. I was pushing through anyway buuut. It was getting a little too MC OP for me as well. So I had to move on.
I don't know if this was the author's first book but it just did not flow like the other ones did. The pace and emotional connectivity greatly improved by the last half.
