He broke her heart.
Graysen’s betrayal nearly destroyed Isa a year ago. Now that she’s working for Red Stone Security, she’s managed to piece her life back together after a rough year and a broken heart. Then he appears back in her life and makes it clear he’s not going anywhere until she gives them a second chance. A chance she refuses to take.
Now he’s back to claim what’s his.
Graysen’s never gotten over Isa and he knows he never will. It’s his fault she walked away, but he can’t seem to let her go. He quit his job with the CIA and called in every favor he had to get hired by Red Stone Security just to be near her again. But Isa doesn’t care that he’s desperate to make things right between them—she wants nothing to do with him. He doesn’t blame her, but he’s not willing to give her up. When they’re cornered by lethal terrorists, everything changes. Graysen and Isa will have to find a way to work together if they want to survive. Only then will he be able to convince her to claim the chance at happiness the past stole from them.
Red Stone Security, #15 Length: 58,000 words Author note: All books in this series can be read as stand-alones.
Katie Reus® is the USA Today bestselling author of the Endgame trilogy, the MacArthur Family series and the Deadly Ops series. She fell in love with romance at a young age thanks to books she pilfered from her mom's stash. Years later she loves reading romance almost as much as she loves writing it. However, she didn't always know she wanted to be a writer. After changing majors many times, she finally graduated with a degree in psychology. Not long after that she discovered a new love. Writing. She now spends her days writing paranormal romance and sexy romantic suspense.
Katie Reus returns with the fifteenth and final (for now anyway) instalment in the Red Stone Security Series. This one reminded me in a good way, a little of the first Die Hard film.
Lethal Game is a book that gives two more couples their happily ever afters while dealing with a little corporate theft and investigation, as well as a game of cat & mouse with some terrorists in an office block.
She had to forgive him. He couldn’t live with anything less.
Graysen and Isa are trying to stay alive whilst hiding out in an office building they are working undercover in. It’s not the best time for reconciling as a couple, but Graysen is determined to have Isa back in his life again, after she left him twelve months previously for not being the person she thought he was.
If it was the last thing he did, he was going to make things right between them.
Meanwhile Emerson and Carlito finally take the step from best friends to lovers after six months of pretending they aren’t attracted to each other, whilst trying to help them out.
"We’ve got a lot of time to make up for."
It’s getting hard to come up with new ways to say that I love this author’s work, and that everything she writes is just awesome-sauce! We all have writers that hit the spot time and time again, and Katie is definitely that for me. This may be a series, but I have read most of the books from it out of sequence and not once did I struggle to work out what was going on and who was who, they are all pretty quick reads as well with a bit of action and suspense thrown in around the romantic aspect, so a great way to spend a couple of hours reading.
ARC generously provided by the author, and it was my pleasure to provide the above review in thanks.
Isa and Graysen were both interesting characters, their romance was a bit more on the bumpy side. The H had to win back the h’s trust while also proving that what he feels is real and not a lie for convenience’s sake. On top of that, they’re co-workers on an assignment that almost gets them killed. What I liked: I love an H that is ready to lay his heart on the line for his woman, and Graysen does just that for Isa. He knows he messed up and handled things with Isa badly but he owns up to it and works tirelessly to make amends. It was hard to remember why Isa didn’t immediately give in to him! Isa was also a great h, she was smart, resourceful and although she was hurt and traumatized by what happened the last time she saw Graysen, she didn’t stick her head in the sand when it came to why it happened and who her father was. I liked that and admired her for it. Memorable Moments: I’m a sucker for a cute dog and I loved the fact that Graysen admits his little dog Peaches (who was originally meant only as a cover) became his real pet. The fact that he kept her and grew so close to her was adorable and I loved him a little more for that :) SAFETY INFO:
Lethal Game is the 15th and last instalment in the Red Stone Security series. Like all the books in the series it can be read as a standalone. As always with books by this author, the story and characters drew me in from the very beginning. We have two couples this time. The main couple Isa and Graysen and also Emerson and Carlito. Lethal Game was action-packed and filled with suspense, drama and swoon-worthy romance. This was the perfect ending to a fantastic series and I’m a little sad to see it end. Highly recommended for romantic suspense lovers!

Talk about an epic ending to the series! I absolutely love this series and I'm sad to see this will be the last one. I am actually thankful I haven't read all of them yet because this last book has made me want to do a binge read from 1 to 15. Katie Reus writes the best Hero's in her stories. They are pure Alpha, and extremely protective. I've loved every single one I have had the pleasure to read so far.
We are lucky and get two couples story in this finale. The main couple is Isa and Graysen, but then we also get Carlito and Emerson. On top of getting to read about these two couples, there is an awesome suspense scene involving these two men doing whatever they can to protect their women. I devoured this book in one sitting. To say the least, I highly recommend this series. ARC provided by NetGalley.
This is book #15 and the final book of the Red Stone Security Series. This one, as do all of them in the series, does quite well as a stand alone.
Working for Red Stone Security, Isa has found peace and belonging. Graysen broke her heart a year ago and she moved clear across the country to get away from the memories.
So to say she's surprised to learn Gray is also working for Red Stone is quite an understatement. And even further, he's going to be her partner on the next assignment.
Greysen has never forgotten Isa and he knows he never will. He's pulled in all kinds of favors to get closer to Isa.. he wants a second chance and he's will to do whatever it takes to get her back in his life.
But when their next security assignment puts them in the path of dangerous Russian terrorists , they are forced to work together if they want to survive.
Katie Reus is a consummate author of Romantic Suspense. Her books always contain the fast-paced action, danger, violence, and lots of spicy romance that her followers have come to know and appreciate. The characters are cleverly drawn, credible and just plain likable. I highly recommend this book, this series, this author if you are a fan of Romantic Suspense.
I wish to thank the author / KR Press, LLC / Netgalley for the digital copy of Lethal Game. Opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.
Lethal Game was such a good read, an excellent addition to the Red Stone Security series. The storyline and characters captured my interest from the first few pages and keep me up late into the night as I couldn't put it down.
I love this series, each book can be read as a standalone, each book has been a page turner and each couple has entertained me with their love story. Katie Reus is a talented author and I highly recommend this series.

So I finally finished this whole series! I've been with this crew for so long, it's going to feel weird to read something else at first. I really enjoyed this series. It's my favorite kind of read. There were some stories I loved more than others of course, but this last book was super good. The only negative I have, is the last 3 or 4 books combined two different couples. The other books I didn't mind that at all, but for this book I think both Greyson and Isa, and Carlito and Emerson should have each had their own book. Even though both couples were going through the same intense situation. For me, I felt like each book Carlito was mentioned in it was building on his story.how he was a player and so super hot. I couldn't wait for his story. So I was a little disappointed to see he only got to split a book with Greyson. And Greyson and Isa's story was solo good, I think they should've had a book to themselves as well. It almost seemed like to me the author was getting to the end of the series and started combining stories so she could wrap up quicker?? Anyway, I loved all the characters, all the stories, and I've been reading this series for so long now, I kind of don't have a clue where I'll go from here, lol.
Isa Johnson’s barely recovered from the shock of betrayal that Graysen West dealt her in what seemed like a honey trap case for the CIA when she runs into him at Red Stone a year later—only to find out that he has called in every favour he’s owed in an attempt to win her back. But peripherally, there’s also a quick wrap-up for Carlito, who’s ready to cast aside his easy ways with women after meeting “the one” in Red Stone.
The last novella of Katie Reus’s Red Stone Security series is very much like the last few installments: a stepped-up game with multiple pairing (ambitious but very possible) and some kind of action that comes with the romantic suspense label, all wrapped up in half the size of a book. ‘Lethal Game’ is by and large a quick, enjoyable read, although its brevity does mean there’s a bit more of telling instead of showing, with personal histories that are glossed over and instant quick connections that bear repetitive—and somewhat cheesy—phrases such as “she was it for him”, “claiming her as his”. It doesn't quite live up to more exciting last few books, but it's nonetheless a good roundup of everyone's HEA.
It's a shame that this is really the last of the series—I think Reus could have easily continued this indefinitely.
I'm sad to see this series end, it has been fun to see all the crazy things that go on. This book was no different. I felt for Isa, for having to work with a person who betrayed her. I wasn't sure about Graysen, part of me liked that he was still in love with Isa, but another part of me thought it would have been kinder for him to let her go, rather than force things.
With how the job turned out I was glad that Graysen was there. Things ended up going so very bad and there needed to be a someone lethal around.
I liked the epilogue, loved that we got to catch up with all the couples, including the 2 new couples in this book.
Lethal Game is book 15 and the final book in the Red Stone Security series. I have my ups and downs with this series, which I thought started so strong, but there were moments in the middle where the stories became a little long in the tooth. However, this series finale packs a powerful punch. What I have always loved about Katie Reus' book is the emotional connections and the fast-moving storyline. Her writing is top notch and the action sequences keep pace with the passionate love story. The narrative is tightly written and it feels like there is great care with the characters. Isa and Greysen have incredible chemistry. He has to overcome his betrayal from a previous story and she has to learn to forgive in order to work together. How they work it out in the middle of an espionage case, is fun and entertaining.
Red Stone has provided me with so many hours of good reading. If you want read a quintessential romantic suspense that will keep you occupied for a while, pick up this series and have a great time.

REVIEW: LETHAL GAME is the fifteenth and final installment in Katie Reus’s contemporary, adult RED STONE SECURITY romantic, suspense series focusing on the men and women of Red Stone Security. LETHAL GAME focuses on two relationships, a terrorist plot, and a man desperate enough to start a new life leaving mayhem and death in his wake. This is former CIA agent Graysen West, and Red Stone Security computer expert Isa Harper’s second chance storyline; and RSS computer programmer/analyst Emerson Lincoln, and Detective Carlito Duarte’s friends to lovers romance.
Told from several third person points of view LETHAL GAME focuses on the hunt for the person(s) responsible for the infiltration and leak of classified information at the Raptor Aeronautical Firm. Fourteen months earlier while on assignment, CIA Agent Greysen West fell in love with Isa Harper-an assignment that ended with the death of Isa’s father, and the revelation that the two men that Isa loved had lied to her all along. Fast forward to present day, wherein Red Stone Security Agency has been hired by Raptor Aeronautical in the hopes of ferreting out the source of some compromised information. Enter Greysen West, Red Stone Security’s newest agent, and the man with whom Isa will have to work undercover. What ensues is the rekindling relationship between Isa and Greysen- a love that had never waivered in the face of betrayal and lies; and the struggle to stay safe when their positions had been compromised.
For six months RSS computer programmer Emerson Lincoln has lusted after Miami Police Detective Carlito Duarte- an attraction she believes is one sided; and has squarely landed her in the friend zone. But when Isa misses a meeting with Emerson at Red Stone Security, Carlito and Emerson begin an investigation of their own that ends with our couple trapped together at gun point when their lives are threatened by a terrorist organization.
LETHAL GAME is a story of suspense; of romance; second chances; and happily ever afters. Several of the previous story line couples play secondary and supporting roles revealing a little bit of history and backstory to the final chapters of Katie’s Red Stone Security romantic suspense series. The epilogue fast forwards the story a few months where we get a glimpse into the lives of the men and women at Red Stone Security, and the possibility of new relationships and growing families. The premise is intriguing, entertaining and exciting; the characters are sensual and inspiring; the romances are passionate and tender. Saying good bye to Katie Reus’s RED STONE SECURITY series is like saying good bye to a friend-there is always the hope you will see one another again but in the end, it was a pleasure going along for the ride.
Isa works for Red Stone Security and her job description means her assignments are always different as she's "hired" at other companies then proceeds to gather whatever information the client needs. L After completing her current assignment and handing over her evidence to it's owner, she learns from her true boss, Harrison, that she'll be starting a new job soon without her usual partner. As she's leaving the meeting she swears she sees Graysen, though she knew him as Michael, the man who broke her heart a year ago, and sighs in relief when it seems as if she was wrong...she didn't want to go to jail for assault. *What? It'd be justifiable.*
"She hadn't thought about him in...a couple days. Which was a record for her. She'd been so busy working it had been easy enough to forget about the laying sack of sh%t who'd broken her heart a year ago." - Isa
Graysen is close to losing his mind. He's suffered a year without Isa in his life and though he knows he just has to wait until tomorrow to see her, to talk to her, he couldn't resist showing up and watching as she met with Harrison. Both Harrison and Graysen know Isa won't be happy *snort, understatement* when she learns Graysen is her partner for her next assignment, but he's desperate. He wants to explain what happened and beg for another chance.
"She had to forgive him. He couldn't live with anything less. He wouldn't." - Graysen
The reason Graysen knows he's got a difficult path ahead of him to get Isa back? He may have targeted her per his employer's, the CIA, decree to gain access to her Dad, a man guilty of selling state secrets. Though the initial meeting with Isa was planned, falling for her was entirely personal. However, Isa never gave him a chance to explain that his love for her, their entire relationship, was never a lie.
What Graysen doesn't know is that Isa can't quite bring herself to hate him, even though she should, for what he did. She holds onto those memories from their time together, then has to remind herself she was just a job to him. When she sees him at her job, she's unable to stop her instantaneous reaction when all her emotions rise up...**kapow**
But as Graysen and Isa work together, trying to navigate the emotional landmines of their history, Isa deciding whether to forgive Graysen and give him a second chance isn't their only concern.
"I'm not giving up on us." - Graysen
Something sinister is going on and Isa could be caught in the middle of it. Some people aren't happy that Isa was hired and could possibly uncover their actions, ones that are close to coming to fruition. They will stop at nothing to ensure that doesn't happen, even if they have to take out both Graysen and Isa.
Can Isa believe Graysen when he says he targeted her to meet her Dad and nothing else? Can she trust that everything else regarding them was entirely personal? Can Graysen convince Isa he loved her then and still does within his seven day deadline? Can Isa ever trust Graysen again after his previous betrayal? Will Graysen ever share the extent, and the consequences, of Isa's Dad's crimes with her? Will they get the HEA they should've had a year ago? Will Carlito and Emerson, who we've watched circle around each other for months in other books, finally admit their feelings and begin their lives together?
One-click now and follow along as two people who were torn apart a year ago reunite and learn their love has only grown stronger. Please keep in mind this is the last of the series and numerous previous characters make appearances, especially in the epilogue, and though this can be read as a standalone, I recommend reading them in order. Also, for those like myself who were curious due to safety issues, neither Graysen nor Isa were with anyone else, nor did they want to be, during their separation.
**I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.**
Isa Harper worked at Red Stone Security as an operative in a new venture the company had taken on. She got her heart broken a year ago by a man she trusted completely, she didn't date anymore. She was all about her job and friends.
Graysen West, a former CIA agent lied to Isa, infiltrated her father's business, seduced her and inadvertently gotten her father killed. Now he was back to beg for forgiveness and for a chance with the woman who had stolen his heart.
But Isa didn't care that he did everything in power to be closer to her, she wasn't about to put her heart on the line again. Yet she found herself working with Graysen as her new partner, she wouldn't make things easy for him.
Carlito Duarte, a detective with the Miami Police Department knew that Emerson Lincoln was the woman for him when he first met her six monts ago. She was a new hire at the company his best friend and former partner Grant Cadwell ran with his two brothers.
Emerson Lincoln, a computer programmer/analyst for Red StoneSecurity was smitten with the handsome detective Carlito . The latter kept hitting that he wished to ve more than friends with her but she doesn't let him know how she felt.
No matter what, Carlito wasn't about to give up on making Emerson see how great their lives could be together. What Carlito didn't realize was that he didn't have much convincing to do cause Emerson's feelings had already changed from the "friends" zone.
In spite of telling Graysen they couldn't have another chance, Isa had never gotten over him. She'd fallen in love with Graysen wether he was Michael or Graysen, he owned her heart. Graysen and Isa found themselves in danger, they worked together to outsmart the criminals. They were a remarkable team.
It was great to finally see Carlito get his beloved, through out the entire series I've been rooting for this man to get his HEA and when he finally did. I was pleased that it was with someone as strong and beautiful inside out as Emerson.
LETHAL GAME is the final book in Katie Reus' RED STONE SECURITY series. It was well paced, suspenseful and mind-blowing. Saying goodbye to this fascinating series felt like saying goodbye to loved ones. It has been a wonderful journey. Two thumbs up, a recommendation to grab yourselves a copy and 5 outstanding stars.
****ARC given in exchange for an honest review.****
I really enjoyed this story. It's got all the things we have grown to love about the Red Stone series and then some. The suspense and the whole background story was wonderfully intense and what IMO KR shines in.
This was probably my favorite of the series, at least in terms of the suspense. The premise was the most intriguing, and the book delivered (mostly).
After reading so many stories based around stalkers, this one about terrorists was certainly refreshing. I definitely didn't expect the whole plot with Alan Persky, the VP of a weapons manufacturing company, to be the main antagonist. The scene with Graysen and Isa escaping the company building was great.
The romance was alright, though it felt rushed due to the suspense. I didn't mind it though since the suspense was intriguing.
I liked Carlito and Emerson- I'd been wanting to read something about Carlito for a long time- but I wish it had been fleshed out more. It felt so sudden, though I know they'd already been friends for quite awhile.
Overall, this series was well-written, though many books and characters felt too similar. In all honesty, I think more than half of them were pretty unnecessary. But it ended on a strong note, and I'll definitely read more from this author later on.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I'm so sad that this is the last book in this series.....and what a great series it has been. Amazing romantic suspense....with hot couples in love with ripe emotions and edge of your seat cloak and dagger suspense and danger at every turn.
This is a double whammy. Isa and Grayson have a chance to work together after he betrayed her on a previous op. Emerson and Carlito finally have à moment or two and the romance and suspense are off the chart.
Lethal Game, Red Stone Security (RSS), Book 15 is sadly the series finale. I have loved the Caldwell brothers and the extended family they call RSS since book 1, No One to Trust, and I will greatly miss them all.
That said, Ms. Reus delivers again! Lethal Game gives us not one, but two HEAs (Graysen & Isa and Carlito & Emerson)! Loaded with action, suspense, intrigue, super smexy times, and a visit with some of our favorite RSS characters, make Lethal Game a must-read! And, makes the Red Stone Security series a definite must for your TBR list!
I was sad to hear this was the final book in the Red Stone Security Series. This is the fifteenth and final book , but one can hope maybe down the road there were be another book to revisit the characters for this has been one of my favorite series out there. Lethal Game visits back on some of the other couples from Red Stone Security . They are not main characters but at times supporting. The main couple is Isa and Graysen, but then we also get Carlito and Emerson. Graysen betrayed Isa about a year ago and she ended up fleeing for Miami and Red Stone to recover and now Graysen is here to make amends and get his woman back but she is not wanting him anywhere near her. Too bad for her that he has connections that make it impossible for her for them to not be near each other anytime soon. Graysen is back in her life and he isn’t going anywhere until she gives them a second chance. Graysen quit his job with the CIA and called in every favor he had to get hired by Red Stone Security just to be near Isa again. But Isa doesn’t care that he’s desperate to make things right between them—she wants nothing to do with him. Will Isa ever forgive him ? It looked like that wasn’t going to happen until they are cornered by lethal terrorists, everything changes. They are fighting for their lives, will they make it and if they do, will Isa show Graysen she never stopped loving him? LETHAL GAME has so much action, angst, passion , suspense, mystery and love shining thru. It is bittersweet because it is the final book in this series. We get to see previous couples from past books visit and see how they are doing along with getting some backstories told. It is still as exciting and passionate to read Katie Reus’s RED STONE SECURITY series. When reading this book, it was very bittersweet and I shed a tear. This was a beautiful and sweet end to a fantastic ride.
My Rating: 4.9 stars ***** "I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
"Lethal Game" is the final installment of the Red Stone Security series. As a reader of almost the entire series, I can say that this book ended it with a bang.
Isa and Graysen were lovers a year ago but she didn't know that he wasn't who he said he was. He went by the name of Michael and was an undercover FBI agent on a quest to take down her father, who was selling top military secrets to the highest bidder. It resulted in the deaths and tortures of many people. Isa had no idea this was going on and when the lid came off, she was devastated by it all.
A year later, Graysen wants one week to work with her at Red Stone Security. During this week, he and Isa are to work undercover to expose another traitor with a defense contractor. He wanted this chance to get right with her and reclaim her love. Suffice it to say, this did not go as he had hoped.
Emerson is another Red Stone Security employee. She's a computer hacker and helps Isa uncover some sensitive information on some employees where Isa and Graysen are undercover. Carlito is a detective on the Miami police force and is head-over-heels in love with Emerson. But they're just friends. She doesn't know he feels like that about her and she's afraid because she's starting to see him as more than just a friend.
There are two love stories going here plus a case of espionage. I knew it was all going to come together. I just didn't know how. When it started to unfold, the book went super fast. I couldn't put it down. It was riveting and demanded my attention. The plot was tight with great writing, didn't take a long time to read, and I enjoyed the ending.
Hats off to Katie Reus with this series. I always looked forward to reading the next book.
As with the other books of this series, this can be read as a stand-alone novel.
*I received an ARC from the author in return for an honest review.
Isa will never forgive Graysen for his betrayal. She gave him her heart but he used her to keep tabs on her father. The CIA knew that her father sold classified information to our enemies. He killed himself when his treachery was revealed. As a result Isa lost her job and her friends. She started over with Red Stone Security as an operative. A year later Graysen left his job and followed her. Now they are working together. Will Isa give him a chance to make up for the past? I liked that she is a strong, intelligent woman who can stand up for herself. Graysen is drawn to Isa. He cares for her and wants her in his life. They have great chemistry plus they are cool under pressure. I want them on my side when there is danger. This final book in this suspenseful series kept me on the edge of my seat. The action is non-stop. I love Sophie Eastlake's narration. She made the characters come to life. I also enjoyed seeing familiar people and catching up with their lives. I hate to say goodbye to Red Stone Security. I'll miss the combination of Katie Reus and Sophie Eastlake on Audible. This series is one of my favorites.
I heard this is the end to the series. That's really too bad!
I love Katie Reus’s Red Stone Security series and I’ve read all of them. This one, #15, was probably my favorite. It was good up until almost 50% but then it got sooo exciting. Once Yuri and Dimitri’s goons took over that building and the hiding and killing and making smoke bombs started I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough.
I loved Greyson and Isa, as well as their back stories. And I loved that there was NOT any angst. Also, I liked that there was 2 love stories in this one book. Emerson and Carlito were fantastic and were taken hostage in the same building Greyson and Isa were in. There was never a dull moment.
There was two explicit sex scenes in this book, by the two different couples, and the F-bomb was used 19 times.
As to the narrator: Fantastic! Sophie Eastlake has always been one of my favorite narrators but she seems to be getting better and better with her more recent narrations. Her voices are great and love, love, love her emotions when she reads.
First off, thanks to Netgalley and the Publisher for allowing me to read Lethal Game for an honest opinion. I LOVE Katie Reus's series Red Stone Security. I have been reading them since she started writing them. This, I believe was more of a novella in that the plot did not seem as complex as many of the Red Stone Security books are. I always love the plots in that they are always more than just a small town romance. Lately, romantic suspense seems to be the genre I enjoy most and this book was right down that alley for me. It was enjoyable catching up on old characters from previous stories. Ms. Reuse makes RSS seem like such a great family to know and I enjoyed Isa and Graysen's addition to that family. They were both strong characters. I also enjoyed seeing more of Emerson and Carlito's romance. A truly enjoyable book. I understand this is the finale to this wonderful series which makes me so sad......satisfied but always wish there were more.
This is the last in the Red Stone security novels and while other might disagree I am happy to see the series come to an end. Katie Reus has created a predictable story line but her ability to draw on that and bring slightly different elements is what keep readers hooked to her stories.
This book is a quick fast read because it is more about telling than showing you what is happening.
Personal background are glaces over giving the readers just enough to understand why the characters behave a certain way. Just like the other in the series it is full of cheese one liners, hot fast sex scenes and honestly action when they are not having sex.
Thank you Netgalley and the publisher for a advance copy.
What a great book. This is Isa and Graysen's story. And as of right now the final in the series of Red Stone Security.
A year ago Isa was in love with Michael, but he had a very big secret. His name was really Graysen West. That she had to find out when the FBI raided her father's house and he was killed. She hasn't spoken to him since even though he has tried.
Graysen has joined Red Stone and brought with him a very important contract. His only reason for doing so was so he could try and win Isa back.
One week on a job and if she can't work with him he'll leave, that's the deal. But a lot can happen in one week!
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I can't believe this is it! The end of another awesome romantic suspense series by A great author. Isa is such a kick butt heroine. She's Fiesty smart and sassy. Grayson is sexy and alpha to the extreme and yet super sweet when it comes to love. He knows what he wants and doesn't let anything get in his way . In this case it's Isa herself. They were in love in the past and Grayson had other secrets and obligations that came between them. This story is about a second chance, that one that got away with a sexy action packed twist. I hate that this is the end but it's a great way to say goodbye to our Redstone family. I can't wait to see what Katie has in store for us next!

As the story unfolds, readers cannot help but feel empathy for both sides and hope there is a way they can overcome the past. Well written and moving quickly Lethal Game is a suspense filled novel. I enjoyed catching up on some of the characters introduced in previous books. Even though this is the fifth book in the series it can be read as a stand alone with little trouble. I on other hand believe it is always best to read a story in order to pick up on the less obvious nuances of their relationships to one another.
My rating of "Lethal Game - Red Stone Security Book 5" is out of 5 stars.
Graysen West shattered Isa Harper’s heart and incidentally, her life in DC when they broke up a year ago. Along with remembering and missing her time with him, Isa also remembered the betrayal, the loss of her friends, job and family. But her resourcefulness kicked in and she packed her skills her with other personal belongings and moved to Miami.
Just because Graysen did what had to be done, doesn’t mean that he didn’t have regrets or miss Isa because neither are true. Hopeful he’ll be able to win Isa back, heal his heart in the meantime and build a future together, Graysen brings a big fish to Red Stone Security’s table. Instead of strings attached to the fish, Graysen has a cable connected.
While their trying to work a sensitive case while tamping their feelings for each other down until they could actually come to terms with them, Isa and Graysen find themselves caught up in a treacherous plot to unravel the nation’s security. Meanwhile policeman, Carlito and IT goddess, Emerson decide there’s no point in waiting and denying their feelings. . The meat of the story was an intriguing plot and characters with enough chemistry and fairly evenly paced. However, for this reader’s taste, the secondary romance felt like filler and the ending felt quite rushed but overall a good finale for the series though and a nice fly-by from the Red Stone Security family.
