War has forced Liam Tilden to become someone he’s not—and his secrets threaten to tear what’s left of his family apart.

Blackmailed into enlisting in secret military operation Project Alpha, Liam’s life is no longer his own. All that keeps him going is knowing that his compliance keeps his twin brother safe from the truth.

But when Liam meets Omega soldier Jaime Sullivan and feels the instant bond between them, protecting his brother is not enough. He must keep Jaime safe from the dangers lurking beneath Project Alpha’s surface, no matter the cost.

Project Alpha is the last chance Jaime Sullivan has to change who he is.

Outcast by his family after being dragged out of the closet, Jaime turns to Project Alpha with the hopes it will erase his past. But when gorgeous Alpha soldier Liam Tilden takes him to bed and gets him pregnant, there’s no escaping the truth—

He’ll never be who his family wants him to be.

Merging two broken pasts doesn’t always equal a perfect future.

The enemy is at their doorstep, and with a new life on the way, there’s a lot to lose. But the biggest obstacle Jaime and Liam face might not be the war—but the secrets they keep from each other.

Omega Rising is the second book in the Project Alpha/Omega series, and contains strong language, dark themes, MPreg, no cheating, and a definitive HEA. Readers sensitive to topics such as violence should exercise caution while reading.

It's an interesting enough series. But even though I've finished the book, more because I wanted to know the plot rather than anything else, I am not in love with the series.

It's unique in its subgenre, no doubt about it. But that's all. I liked this one better than the first one because it covered a lot of points and had much more details to share.

Second book of Project Alpha/Omega.

The story is about Bryce's twin Liam and he's mate Jamie.
Jamie is a typical Omega , submissive pliant and he carries the guilt of his desire. Ashamed of his self he finds really hard to accept who he is…

Liam is also struggles with guilt but a different kind, I'm not going to go to details because it will spoil the book. Honestly I was disappointed in Liam. I couldn’t get over he's actions.

I give a total 3.5 Stars .

Jules Finley had me, hook, line and sinker, from the moment I started her second book about Project Alpha/Omega Series. The first chapter brought us up-to-date about how and why Liam and Bryce joined the Project. It was a surprise to me what went on behind the scenes with Liam from the first book, the lies and secrets Liam kept all for the safety of Bryce and later Jamie.

At first you may be a little confused when you read the chapter wondering what time frame you are in, because where the first book ended, but it becomes clearer as you continue reading. It was interesting to know Liam’s side of the story as to what happened back before and after they had joined the Project. You won’t regret buying this second book as it brings to light so much about the past of the twin’s parents, the debt the twin’s were threatened to pay back.

This book basically concentrates on Liam and Jamie and how they met and the instant attraction between Alpha and Omega, and it went beyond what the project was designed for and found their soul mate just as Bryce and Jackson had. But Jamie had his own dark secrets he held inside and he was unable to communicate to Liam or Dr. Reed about his trauma.

Jamie’s dark secret him from being able to change into his wolf form and have the deeper connection he needs with Liam and others in the group. This book’s emotions are astounding and heartfelt; from Liam’s undying patience for his mate, Jamie, to help him deal with his internal wounds and scars to be able to transform. The book contains betrayal, lies, secrets and action as well as kindness, love, and tenderness. As I mentioned earlier, it’s a book worth buying, but you should read the first book to understand the second. I absolutely loved this book and series so far.

Loved this book. I loved the fact that it's written from Liam's POV during the time that Bryce was over at Alpha Academy. We also get more information on who we are at war with. I still would like to know how we got here & where are all the other powers in the world. There are things that I never saw coming, I can't believe what Bryce & Liam's parents attempted to do what they did, that was wrong on so many levels. But it also leads us to why Liam made the decisions he did. There were a lot of twists, and hurt feelings in this one. Ms. Finley you had to go and make me feel sorry for Oliver. I wanted to hate him since the first book now I just feel sorry for him.

OMG!! This book was amazing, even better than the 1st and I loved that one too. Liam and Jaime get down too business since the beginning and we witness what happened to them during book 1. Although they get together at the beginning each has their own baggage they need to deal with. We get to see why Liam acted a certain way in book 1. And we find out about Jamie's history and the mental scars he still caries and tries to overcome. The couple engages more with Henry (the doctor) and alpha Eric. There is a revelation which I had picked up from book 1 but there was a 2nd surprise I did not see coming about them. We also get to see the Project Alpha/Omega in action. Near the end, the pregnancy of Jamie and Bryce is over and babies are delivered. Furthermore, we get a new introduction where a certain bossy Omega from book 1 that also appears in this book as the antagonist will be a part of for his story in book 3.

This was an amazing sequel to Omega Academy! One of my first impressions when I started reading this was that Liam was disturbingly good at manipulation, and that impression never faded. I loved that the event of this book happen concurrently with those of the first book so that we get a much clearer picture of the world at war.

It was heartbreaking to read about Liam's attempt to sacrifice himself for Bryce, but to instead be the instrument of determining his fate. Even more heartbreaking was reading of what Jaime endured before enrolling into Project Alpha and entering Omega Academy.

The climax and conclusion in this book were supremely satisfying and while it wasn't quite what I was expecting, I wouldn't have changed a thing.

While I loved Bryce and Jackson in book one, "Omega Academy", Liam and Jamie stole my heart in this book. They were perfect for each other, both had secrets that kept them guilt-ridden while they tried to navigate and understand what was happening between them. I was shocked by Liam's secret and while I knew Dr. Reed was up to something in the first book I never would have guessed what it was and how it involved the twins. I want to know not only Dr. Reed and Eric's full story but Oliver's too. Hopefully there's a book three. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

The truth comes out! When I found out about Liam and Jaime also being together I was hoping for their story and Jules Finley doesn't disappoint. To now know why Liam agree to be part of Project Alpha even if he seems like he didnt want to. Then found out about Jamie's past and how he hope that Project Alpha would help him. So many emotions for me in this book and I just love that both Liam and Jamie start to open up about all their secrets to help grow from them. I just think these two are so cute!

I loved this book. I like the communication of the wolves. I thought it was interesting and different than what I’ve read before. Liam and Jaime were both so likable, even though they both have a lot of flaws. The story was easy to read, very fast-paced. I totally enjoyed reading this and I would recommend reading book 1, Omega Academy, but it isn’t required to follow this story. I can’t wait to read the next. The world building is very intriguing.

Alpha Liam Tilden never thought he would find his bonded mate when he agreed to change places with his Omega twin Bryce. However, when Liam saw Jamie for the first time he was hit with urges and emotions he could no more explain then he could deny. Jamie Sullivan suffers emotional scars from his family’s reaction to finding out he was gay. He too feels the deep need to be with Liam. Problem with bonding is Liam has an obligation to report any "strange" occurrences to Dr. Reed and this is definitely odd (as was Bryce and Jackson's reaction to each other. * see Onega Academy, the first in series). Liam tries to protect all his loved ones but in order to do this he must lie which comes back to bite him. Liam and Jamie try to work through all Jamie's issues, both emotional and his disconnect with his wolf. Just as Jamie starts making progress they run out of time and Liam and Jamie fight over the fact that Liam won't treat Jamie as an equal but is overbearing in his protectiveness, remarkably conflict has Jamie coming into his own and proving his right to be Liam’s equal. I loved the characters in both these book, especially Jamie who was so fragile yet well able to hold his own against the enemy. The story was attention grabbing, well written, and full of emotion. I’d love to read Dr. Reed’s story!

It has been a while since I read the first one and I loved it so getting to finally read the second is awesome. In book one we got Tilden twin Bryce and his alpha mate. In this, we learned more of the backstory that leads to him and Liam (the alpha and Tilden brother this book focuses on) being part of the alpha omega project. I loved Bryce and his alpha and I loved these two as well. Jamie was so real. He had a shitty past and he was broken. Not physically (nothing that left scars anyway) but mentally and emotionally (left huge scars). He was bullied and beaten down by the people everyone should be able to trust, family. The only thing I wanted was for his happy ending. Liam was so good for him. Overprotective, sweet, patient, and willing to die to prove how much he loved and cherished Jamie. He was so protective he coddled Jamie a bit too much but despite the issues, it caused it was the foundation needed for Jamie to realize he had to learn to accept himself. In the end, they not only found their soul mate but how the right love can help you become the best you, how their support can lift you up into realizing how worthy you really are. Honestly, it was the best message ever to read in a romance book. And it through in some damn sexy scenes so there is no going wrong here.

So I really enjoyed the first book. The idea of a super soldier and genetic experiments had me hooked. Throw in some ill fated love and it’s a no brainer.

Where the first book failed to deliver was the overly long monologues and slow buildup to not much. However, I was excited to see if book 2 would wrap up some of the unanswered questions. And it did, some what. Book 2 picked up where book one started and repeated the whole story just from Liam’s viewpoint. We gained some answers but the story didn’t actually progress and most of what we see in book 2 was already revealed in book 1.
Also, Dr.Reeds motivation doesn’t really make sense to me by the end. Is Christoph sick? Why isn’t Eric fighting or being used to train other alphas?

So much could have happened but it was stagnant. Good concept though.

This book was ok but not as good as the first. The two MCs didn't hold my interest much but Dr. Reed and his drama did somewhat. I sort of figured out what his big secret was, I would have liked more between him and 'alpha' because I think there's a good story there but it was only hinted at. Jaime started off sweet but became a weak character, lots of valid reasons for his issues but it sort of drags the story down. Liam in a surprise because we find out that despite what we were lead to believe in the first book, he was not a victim of his brothers machinations but rather the instigator. Again, good ideas overall, I would like to see a series of the academy but more focus on the romance aspects.

I love it. Jamie's personal growth was amazing. These aren't your typical omegas. What Jamie says about having more at the end of the book will hopefullly help Dr. Reed with his wolf. I can't wait for more. I received a complimentary copy

I liked this book

Well done, a "beginning " for werewolves. Medical miracle and military manipulation combine to create the Alpha/Omega mutations. Mpreg and battle, the formation of the first "pack", sole bonding and hot sex. Thanks for a good read!

Summary:

"I received a free review copy of this book."

While many people joined the project to protect and defend their country, Liam was forced to join to protect him family and pay a debt owed by their parents. His keeping this secret from everyone he loved caused him pain even as he struggled to protect them. The only problem was that not even the scientists know exactly what the ultimate outcome would be working on a day to day basis.

No one would ever expect that when Liam changed places with his twin Bryce he would meet the man, Jamie, who was the perfect match for him. Jamie's childhood was riddled with his families refusal to accept who he was, to the point of sending him to a camp to make him heterosexual, filled him with self loathing and hatred against his own feelings. These feelings made it very difficult to accept what was between him and Liam to the point where he began to have panic attacks if anyone found out. It was sad to experience Jamie's inner struggle as Liam and others began to change and adapt. As Liam's love held steadfast, Jamie's desire to overcome his past was put to the test as the war oversees suddenly arrived at their doorstep.

It was interesting how Dr Reed, the geneticist and founder of the project, took on a more immediate role as his true part in the project came to light. As the story unfolded, it became apparent that as the members of the project evolve they may be still coming into their powers leaving the reader to wonder how far the changes will take them and how it will effect their very humanity. Jamie's struggle to accept his inner wolf lead him to the unique understanding that everything he thought he knew was small compared to what he would gain in his knew reality. Seeing the world though the eyes and emotions of a wolf was as fascinating as watching the individuals join into a pack to protect and defend each other.

This series is addictive and I for one hope that is still more to come in the Project Alpha/Omega series.

“As if they shared one soul… but had never felt their missing half until they happened upon each other.”
I thought this was a great addition to the series, the chemistry between Liam and Jaime ignites in their epic first encounter and we once again see the power of instinctive pairings of soul bonded mates as opposed to the arbitrarily partnered alpha/omega matches at the Academy. Diving into Liam’s story, who has agreed to swap places with his twin while Bryce searches for the mate he instinctively knew he belonged with, Liam was completely unprepared to find the perfect match for him in Bryce’s roommate, Jaime. Jamie’s self-loathing is haunting, and I was so proud of him for facing his demons. I went into this book really confident that I hated Dr. Reed for his manipulations, but had to second guess myself when his own secrets were revealed. Even though his methods were questionable and frustrating, his ultimate motivation redeemed him for me. With one more book to look forward to in this trilogy, I’m anxious to see what the next installment holds.

This is an captivating and intriguing book to read and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I read the first book "Omega Academy" which covered Bryce (an omega and Liam's twin brother) and Jackson (the alpha and mate of Bryce). This book covers Liam (the alpha and twin brother of Bryce) and his omega mate (Jamie). What you will find in this book is: drama, suspense, intrigue, blackmail, treachery, a pairing/claiming, experiments, werewolves, omegas/alphas, trading places, attractions, arousal, intimacy, shifting, caught, tests, pregnancy, bonding, hunting, shooting, killing, abduction, torture, rescued, shifting, debriefed, war, death, injuries, a war won, lust, emotional feelings, love and erotic scenes. The story-line and plot is well thought out and is exceptionally well written. The characters are well developed with personalities and have feelings of fear, lust, needs and desires, I found the chemistry between the omega and the alpha of both books poured off the pages til the last page was turned and I would definitely recommend this book to people who like to read a well written M/M shifter romance with a HEA. I look forward to more books from this talented author.

I volunteered to write an honest review this book for a free Arc copy

I liked the first book in the series, but this the second, surpasses that. This time we follow Liam and Jamie’s story. The story starts at the time Liam swaps places with his brother. We find out how Liam and Jamie struggle to keep their cover, and what happens when they are found out. We also find out the reason Liam and Brice signed up for the Alpha Project. The story covers a Dodgy Dr with his own agenda and reasons for being part of the project. We have kidnappings and a war that comes to the door of the Academy. The characters feel real and you want to keep reading to make sure the boys are going to be ok. I found the book exciting and was tense for the characters at certain times in the story.

This is Liam and Jamie's story. Liam is Bryce's twin bother from the first book and starts just before book one and continues past where book one left off. Liam knows more than he is telling those around him and he is keeping these secrets from his twin and from his Omega, Liam. He believes he is protecting them. Jamie is blocked emotionally and has many difficulties because of the actions of his parents. Both have maturing to do and things to get over before they can be who they were meant to become. Jamie is my favorite character and I loved reading from his point of view.

I enjoyed the first book, but I think this book had me more engaged right from the beginning. We meet all of the characters in Omega Academy and know a lot of what happens, but I liked getting Liam and Jamie's story and their perspective on things. The first chapter (prologue really) was awesome and made me rethink a lot of what I had previously known about Liam and the good ole doctor. I enjoyed this a lot. Great story!

This is the second book of the series and had me wondering where the story was going next. It is for mature readers only so this is your warning! Some of the story is going over the last book but in a different point of view and then the story continues. A lot happens in this book and many secrets are reviled. It got better the more you read on.

This book had me glued to the pages. I tried to read slow so it would last, but wanted to read fast so I could see what happens. This is a great addition to the first book and although it can be read without reading the first book, the series is so good that I urge you to read book 1 before. This book is a must read and I can't wait to read more

Interesting perspective ‼️

This book was very interesting in how it brought about explaining how alphas and omegas developed. Very sensual and erotic at times. I'd love to know Liam's parents story the part they played in the beginning of the storyline.
