Dynomike: Happy Shoes

Rate this book
From the Dynomike Series: Dynomike has too many shoes-shoes upon shoes-so many he doesn't know which pair to choose. Realizing that life would be easier with fewer pairs to dig through, he decides to simplify, realizing in the process that getting rid of what he doesn't need can be fun and help others. We all know that too many choices can be overwhelming. But the funny rhymes and illustrations in Dynomike: Happy Shoes show kids-and parents alike-that less can be more, and letting go of the stuff can mean more happiness for all.

This is a book perfectly formatted for your Kindle device. Happy Shoes is one in a series of books for children by Frankie B. Rabbit.
The narrative of the story is in rhyme and throughout the question is asked oh, what to do?
I love where Happy Shoes goes, with Dynomike having too many shoes ‘he decides to share because he has started to care.'

Faultless.

‘Today he gave happiness in twos just by sharing simple happy shoes’

New Jersey author Frankie B. Rabbit has been a hop-hop artist/rapper and now is trying his talent at writing. According to his biographical data, ‘while his rap career was dragging with monotony, he enters, yet another, freestyle rap battle at B.B. Kings in New York City—which ended being his last rap battle after being defeated by an 8 year old second grader in the first round—his name was Dynomike! “The lyrical niceness, my rhymes so tight I give nightmares to vice grips! This mic is five bucks, this night is five bucks, and Dynomike is — is priceless!” That was only one of the sixteen bars he dropped on Frankie B. Rabbit.’ And there is the inspiration for his first book DYNOMIKE BACK TO SCHOOL. The illustrations are by Lou Francis Isip.

Frankie’s little story and new character Dynomike are related in excellent rhyme: to give and idea, the first page reads ‘Another day, another shoe Dynomike has shoes on top of shoes and not a clue which to choose. Oh, what to do?’ This is lyrical, likely influenced by the author’s musical background. Dynomike goes though all the various shoes in his closet from worn out stinky shoes to special shoes he’ll never use. He decides to get rid of unwanted shoes and shares with his friends who appreciate his beneficence. He solves a problem, shares, makes people happy – all to simplify his life and dilemmas and make others happy. AND, less is more!

The story is fun to read, the verse is terrific, the many types of shoes he describes are entertaining, but on top of that the lessons of sharing with others are strong ones for tikes. This is the fine second installment in what promises to be a very successful children’s’ book series.

In this wonderful new rhyming children’s story from Amazon Best Selling author Frankie B. Rabbit, we join everyone’s favorite dinosaur Dynomike on another fun, yet educational adventure.

Poor Dynomike has a real problem, and he doesn’t know what to do! He has too many shoes, and can’t decide which ones to wear. Sadly he realises that he will never get out of the house, unless he can choose a pair, but which ones?

You see, there are all sorts, some are new, and others are old, all different colours, and styles, a pair for every occasion. He is spoilt for choice. What should he do?

So he thinks hard to try and find a solution, then he realises that there is one great answer which will not only help others, but will make him happy too.

You will have to read this lovely book to see what Dynomike will do!

I did just that, and read this book to my grandsons who are five and seven, and I found it a very good way to explain that helping others can be really good, not only for the people who receive, but also for those who give.

I especially loved the way that it conveyed the very important message, that it is not necessary to have lots of the same things, and sometimes less is more.

The book, with the engaging character of Dynomike is very easy to read in its rhyming format, and is beautifully illustrated.
