So, this really wasn't bad. In fact, probably one of the better stories I've read with Morbius in it so far.
This issue is actually Morbius: The Living Vampire #1 and Rise of the Midnight Sons #3. Which means that you've got a couple of Ghost Riders (one that looks like a flaming skeleton & one that has a ponytail and ciggy dangling from his lips) that show up. I don't know who/what/why, but (apparently?) those two teamed up for some reason and came looking for Morbius. <--flaming Ghost Rider had a dream, I think?
Doesn't matter. What matters is that they found Michael's old fiancee, Martine.

description

What's Martine up to, you ask?
Well, she hasn't given up on her man (although, she really should have!) and has a sketchy scientist with her that has come up with a 'cure' for Morbius. The ill-fated plan is for them to capture Michael at dawn, bring him back to the lab, and inject him with this antidote to...vampire?
Except the scientist is (you guessed it) an evil scientist who's working for...some evil corporation or other...and plans to KILLLLL MORBIUS!

description

It doesn't work out well for anyone involved.
Martine gets shot and then, unbelievably, Morbius finds her dying and snacks on her.
However, once his thrist is slaked, he kills off the scientist and his henchmen.
So.
Where were the Ghost Riders, you ask?
Not there, that's for damn sure.

There were some nice panels in this, which surprised me because I'm not usually a big fan of the look of a lot of 90s art.
Anyway. Very readable.

Simply a stopgap in The Rise of The Midnight Sons storyline and not much more. A cheaper way to get a recap on Morbius’s origins, and although not my favorite Morbius storyline, I certainly liked it better than his new goth bondage look.

This was my first time reading a "Morbius" comic, I thought it was pretty good!

Delle serie iniziate in seguito al cross-over The Rise of the Midnight Sons quella dedicata a Morbius è stata la più duratura, 32 albi, ossia quasi 3 anni.

It’s Morbin time

This is a review on the whole comic run and not just the first issue, that being said I thought it was pretty damn good, there’s a few issues that are part of some Midnight Sons crossover events and it kinda breaks up the flow of the series but outside of that the comic has some fantastic art and really cool villains.
I think Jack Russel and Morbius relationship is kinda sweet as most of the Midnight Sons don’t really like Morbius, so Jack is like his only friend.

Morbius is a tragic character and he dose allot of self reflection in the later issues, ultimately it just ends as it began and Morbius falls into the ocean.
If I had to pick a favorite issue it’s probably #25, featuring a really sick short story illustrated by Max Douglas that has Morbius killing a cult leader obsessed with the Living Vampire.
I say check the series out if you want to understand more of Morbius as a character or if you like silly Marvel supernatural stuff.

Rating all comics up to currently released.

What absolute schlak. Between fan service and some weird power fantasy, it's just an incoherent mess. "WOW VAMPIRE FIGHTS COOL!" Horribly dated and that's saying something for only 1992. Art is passable as individual pieces, but it serves nothing for this character. Does not get better.

Ghost Rider seems to be going pretty easy on old Morbius. I’ve seen him do much worse for much less.
