hiyori has become less dense in this volume (kiun's doing).
noragami seems to have a habit of making the antagonists of previous volumes weird family members in later ones.
ebisu is adorable as usual, and takemikazuchi's grown on me. he's essentially a teenager who had overprotective parents and is in a rebellious phase now.
i'm excited to see how yato will face his "father" in the next volume.

I'm refraining on rating this yet due to the fact that I can't count it as 100% read.
After my reading rampage of the previous 18 volumes of this series, I realized that it's on hiatus. And I'm PRETTY UPSET by that. I'm caught up in this series but I'm hoping it'll continue soon because THAT CLIFFHANGER.

Also I love this series. PLEASE DON'T END YET AAAA

WONDERFUL!
Yukine’s birthday flash mob (yessssss!!!) is probably the single most hilarious and brilliant thing to happen in this series so far. It’s also provided us with the much needed comic relief to get over the heavy, serious stuff from the previous volume.
What happened after the flash mob though... MAN. Pray for my one year old son Yukine, because he’s sure got it rough when it comes to women.

Yato is back again after a long, long (long) time. We finally can see what happened after he disappeared to chase after his father. Also, there was a small POV of Yuki. The final twist was so, so good! but the ending was left open (and the next volume will be out in June, so I'm a sad bunny).

This has been a long wait - 18 months with such a massive cliff hanger at the end of last volume! - but it was worth it. I'm glad Adachitoka is back in action after a hiatus due to illness of one of the duo. I do think they are trolling us a little with that cover, though. Yato in front of the moon? Just tell us already if he's Tsukuyomi!

Now hopefully just (ha!) a six month wait for the next volume release...

So I usually don't count manga towards my Goodread challenge but whatever it's a new year why not; hence why this is volume 19 and none of the other volumes have shown up haha. (Plus for the past couple of years I haven't been reading nearly as much manga as I did in high school, so I don't think it's going to influence my reading challenge that much anyway.)

Anyway, Noragami is my favorite anime/manga of all time. It went on hiatus for about a year but now it's BACK EVERYONE! There have been about 3 arcs so far, and this volume wraps up the 3rd arc, has a couple in-between chapters, then we start to go into the next arc. The first 2 arcs are SO SPECTACULARLY INCREDIBLE, WOULD DIE FOR THEM, while this 3rd arc didn't really blown my mind as much. It was great for world-building, but I think the combination of the hiatus (which made me forget a bunch of stuff that happened), as well as the fact that I found a lot of plot elements in the arc to be pretty confusing just turned me off to it a bit. BUT! I am crying in excitement that my favorite manga is back from hiatus bring the next chapters ON

That's it, I am officially hooked on this series. Even though the action in this volume is not as fast or as much as has been in the last three volumes, I sat down and read this one cover to cover just to see what was happening in it. The cliffhanger in the last volume needed to be resolved and I sat in my classroom and read the whole thing while my students were working on their projects.

I bought this one super quickly because of the cliff hanger, but it was resolved pretty quickly. I don't remember much else about what happened in this volume, but it was pretty fun to hang out with these guys.

A bit of a filler book but I loved all the sweet moments and the end scene between Hiyori and Yato..! I'm so glad that all the characters have come so far and have matured!
