Wicked Little Words

Rate this book
Edwin Allen Mercer
I want them all to read my words. And they do. Every last blood-stained sentence, they've read and praised me for. They love the gore and violence, the realness. And I get a sense of power with it all because I know a secret: the victims in my books—they’re real and have all died on my table. And maybe that’s why the last book had such awful reviews. Murder is, after all, a dirty little thing. Some can stomach it. Others can’t. My answer to those reviews: find a woman to co-author with. To be the next pathetic character in my book. Pity she’s so pretty.

Miranda Cross
All I’ve ever wanted was to be successful as a writer so when I was offered the opportunity to co-author a book with my idol, EA Mercer, I jumped at the chance. He’s beautiful and a literary genius, but something about him makes my stomach knot. And maybe it’s my overactive imagination making my hairs stand on end when he walks up behind me.
After all, these wicked little words we’re typing are only fiction. They’re only fiction…

OMG!!! Till the last 20 pages, I was so frustrated for choosing this book, I was planning to give it hardly three stars. I was also confused why the readers have written so much good reviews about this book! But then, yes you can sense what I’m saying “ I didn’t see it coming”!!!
Mostly I can predict this kind of twist because in real life I question every nook and crannies. And guess what, the writer pulled out the rug from under my feet. I’m still sitting on the ground with a sucker punched expression of my face.
And I’m also giving ten shiny stars to playlist. The choices are soooo freaking good! ( From Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails to 21 Pilots, are you kidding me?)
Yeap, I need a drink right now! Not my regular Cabernet, something strong. And I also need lots of ice! My face still hurts after writers’ punch 😃😃😃

A disturbing, psychological thriller like you've never read before!
Wicked Little Words will make your head spin! It's shocking and twisted story line will make you clutch your bed covers at night, and leave your heart a little darker for reading it.

I literally cannot believe what I just read. Throughout the entire book, I kept debating with myself on how I could possibly finish it. Because it's genre is so out of my norm to read, whether it being a romance or not. I'm not a dark book reader. Period. But there was just something about reading the blurb that stuck out to me, something I just can't explain. And with that said, am I glad to have read it? ABSOLUTELY! Although, there were many times I had to stop, put it down, and just walk away for a bit. Not going to lie...over half the book was difficult to get through. But I'm so glad I did, because it was so worth it!

The writing is astounding. The plot is exceedingly original. The complete book from beginning to end is mind-blowing! Each character has their own unique voice, and it was easy to connect with them....as ominous as they are. They weave together in a predestined way, and project such a profound presence, that only a handful of authors have the ability to project in their stories, let alone two authors for this book! Truly unbelievable!

This book is one I will never forget. But it's also one I will probably never read again, no BS-ing. The story, the characters, the plot twists; all of it is ingrained so far into my mind that I won't have to read it again to remember exactly what I thought...and re-reading it won't bring back the same chills I experienced the first time. And that ending? Best ending to a book I have ever read!

Don't turn away from this book. It's an unquestionable page-turner...one that will capture your attention until the last wicked little word!

5 Stars!

My dear friends Bookylicious, Hülya, İlknur & me have done a buddy read of this book upon the recommendation of our dear friend Halime. At the end of our journey, our thoughts, feelings and thus - ratings have differed.

Here is what I think...

This is a dark and sick read. It is gritty and shocking.

Do not start to read it in the mistaken belief that this is a romantic suspense. (I myself made this mistake and there is no romance in it). It is a murder suspense story, a gory horror story. It is a sinfully twisted psychological thriller in which you should expect the unexpected.

It is suspenseful and disturbing with very graphic descriptions of torture and murder. And as we often come across in such books, there is a little touch of the darker side of erotica, as well.

The book aims to be a psychological mindf*ck. Everything heads towards an end that is well-planned to make the readers say, “Wow, such a freaking amazing ending!” But the problem is, rather than making the readers enjoy the whole ride, the book drags with its slow pace and everything prepares you just for this mind-blowing end.

It is told by 3 different point of views:
1. Edwin Allen Mercer – The best selling writer of murder suspense books, who confesses in the Prologue that he really has committed the murders in his books
2. Miranda Cross – a creative writing student who gets a chance to be the co-writer of famous E.A. Mercer’s next book
3. Jaxson – The homicide detective who gets attached to Miranda. His sister is a victim of a serial killer.

Do you think any of those fucking readers paid attention to my writing before I started killing people? Before I started getting the murders in my own novels as realistic as possible? You bet your goddamn ass they didn’t. They want the gore. They want the carnage. They want the mayhem. And goddamn it, I’m going to give it to them. They will feel my words. To know that so many are reading and devouring my words, it’s fucking orgasmic. I get hard just thinking about it.

But believe me, none of this, not a single fucking book sale, could’ve been accomplished without this bloodshed. Without the death I’ve created in this room. Without witnessing firsthand what a human being looks like truly suffering. What it looks like when the life drains from their face and the thousand-yard death stare follows. All of it makes its way into my novels.

I cannot tell you much more because whatever I say will either mislead you or it will be a spoiler. So, not to ruin it for you, I will not go into any details. However, I will tell what I liked and what I disliked.

The good:
1. The suspense & the tension was good. It makes you wonder what facts will be revealed in the end
2. The plot twist was unexpected and shocking. It was really unpredictable for me.
But did I say, “Wow!” – No, I didn’t!
Why?
Maybe, because of the things that made me feel detached from the story. Maybe because I wasn’t invested in it at all. That’s why, I was at a point where I just didn’t care much.

The bad:
1. There was very little dialogue. It was mostly made up of the inner monologues of characters. I personally find it boring when there is little dialogue in a book. I always prefer lots of dialogues to see the interaction of characters with one another.
2. There was very little action because the book is founded on suspense and tension only. I would have expected a faster pace with more action. I kind of lost my interest every now and then.
3. The worst thing for me, my main reason for giving it 3 points rather than the most common 5 star rating I have been seeing for this book is the fact that it didn’t make me feel. For a book to be perfect, IT MUST MAKE ME FEEL. And I didn’t feel much (It may be just me, I don’t know). I didn’t feel sorry for any of the characters (except for the murder victims). I didn’t like or love any of the main characters. I didn’t feel scared – I was just disturbed.

So, maybe you shouldn’t trust my review because so many people are loving this book. Maybe, it just wasn’t for me.

But if you trust me and if you want to read a very successful mind-blowing psychological thriller with deep feelings, hot chemistry and romance in it, go read BLACK LIES by Alessandra Torre. It will blow your mind and it will make you feel a lot! When I compared this book with that epic read, it was impossible for me to give this one more than 3 stars.

After all, someone who can conjure up the twisted shit he writes… how much can you really trust someone with an imagination like that?

***

It's just a story. Just words strung together to make thoughts, so I shouldn't feel this moral war waging inside me over what was just written. It doesn't make me sick or deranged that I like this, so it doesn't mean that Edwin is sick or deranged for writing it. It's just imagination… but what makes someone's imagination live in such dark places? What drives our stories to come from within the shadows? The more I watch him write these words, the more I'm a little scared that maybe something's not right with either one of us.

***

It's only a matter of time before I make her mine. It’s only a matter of time before we kill as one.

***

What hell have I been delivered to? My eyes veer to the screen of the computer, to those wicked little words I’ve typed, and I know it’s too late.

☆☆☆☆4.5 Wicked Stars☆☆☆☆

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Let me start off by saying that I've read some pretty messed up books over the past few years. Some made me cringe, others left me with my mouth hanging open because of the absurdity, and the rest just had me questioning my sanity. Yes they were crazy and unconventional but if there's one thing you should know know about me, is that I LOVE crazy.

This book right here? Was FUCKING CRAZY mixed in with a crap ton of dimented!!!! I need liquor, bleach, and a therapist in that order because I've been scarred for life. As I'm writing this review, all of the lights are on in my house right now. Bedroom light, bathroom light, kitchen light, living room light, refrigerator light, you name it and it's on because there's no way in hell I'm going to sleep right now!!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

There are some books that you read, you can already tell how the storyline is going to go and that element of surprise you know isn't going to be there. This was NOT that book. So you read and you enjoy the flow of the words no matter how sick and twisted they are because nothing can shock you. You're a proffesional or so you think. Then you get to the final 10 minutes of the book and you start hitting all the light switches.

College student Miranda Cross has never really been a people person. Naturally shy, the one thing she loves to do is write. When the New York times best selling crime author Ethan Mercer chooses her to be his Co author for an upcoming story, she's not only shocked but extremely excited to be working with her idol. Going on location to his isolated cabin for the writing process? Not so much. But Edwin is about to get inspired by the redhead beauty and whether its deadly or not, it's going to be one heck of a story.

Edwin Mercer likes things to be done his way. Finishing up a book by it's deadline when he knows there's more to be done, pisses him off. After his last book got some rather negative reviews, he's decided to hire a co author for his next thriller. When he meets Miranda, he's knows she's going to be the one to change his creativity whether it's good or bad. What starts off as a collaboration quickly turns into a real life crime thriller.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

While reading this, there were times when I really didn't think I could finish it because it was so twisted and dark. I literally got chills as I was reading certain scenes and let me tell you, that doesn't happen to me at all. This was scary as f*ck and don't even get me started on that cabin!!

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

If you think you're brave enough to read this with the lights off, then grab some popcorn and enjoy this crazy twisted ride. As for me, I'm out of alcohol and my house is lit up like a Christmas tree at 12:00 am. If that doesn't scare you, I don't know what else will.

That. Ending!

description

Everything is nice and kind of predictable. You think you got the ending figured out (or at least a few possible endings). Then boom! The End!, and you wonder what the f*ck did I just read? where did that come from?

description

Now I know you must be wondering... is he crazy? I can see how you could think that. But here's the thing: aren't we all a bit crazy in our own way?

description

Meet Edwin Allen Mercer, brilliant horror writer, author of eight best-sellers. He's so good at what he does because he actually committed all the murders he describes in his novels. But his last book has an average of 3 stars rating, so he decided to get a co-author. And what better way to get that if not by a writing contest?

I hate talking to people. I'm not good at it, and I try to avoid it at all costs. That's one reason I'm studying creative writing, one reason I choose to work at this run-down bookstore. I want as little interaction with the public as humanly possible because, in general, I don't trust people. Ninety-nine percent of them make me uncomfortable.

description

Enter Miranda Cross, shy little thing with an imagination matching EA's. She wins the contest and her greatest wish comes to life: meeting her favorite author. But what happens when she has to move in with him, in his secluded cabin, where no one will hear you scream? She starts suspecting him and hopes to get away before it's too late.

description

The story is pretty dark with a lot of striking visuals. EA is a complete psychopath, alas not one of Hannibal Lecter's caliber (is Lecter really one, tho?). While he manages to get your attention, I thought Wicked Little Words to be a 3 stars read (I do hope the authors of this novel are no Edwin). But then came the ending and it changed everything. And you really, really don't want to know the ending because it's so much fun to be shocked. After the initial shock I kept thinking no, there has to be a mistake, a logical explanation. Fortunately, we get that explanation and it all starts to make sense.

There's not much more I can say without spoiling things for you, so you should go and pick up the book. It was worth my time. Maybe it will be worth yours, too.

What a dark, disturbing, and gloriously twisted story this was! The synopsis drew me in, but I had NO clue what I was in for! I thought that reading a story about writers writing a story together would be straight-forward and maybe even slightly exciting, yet this book was morbid and fascinating from the very first page!

Edwin Allen Mercer has a well-crafted persona. He's the king of the book world and he's in high demand, but his latest book reviews have come back with lukewarm responses and he's under immense pressure to please his audience. Out of tens of thousands of applicants, Miranda Cross has been chosen to co-write with EA. He invites her to stay with him at his secluded cabin in North Carolina, miles from civilization, so they can focus on completing their project by the intended deadline. It's there that she learns just how to refine her writing skills and demonstrate what she's capable of, but her stay with EA isn't without its problems.

 photo IMG_3820_zpslqtscso3.jpg

Miranda is a bundle of nerves in anticipation of how their book will be composed, but instantly recognizes that the opportunity could propel her name for bigger prospects. Side by side with her favorite author, things are not as they seem to be and Miranda senses it.

 photo IMG_3819_zpswavfmqwn.jpg

EA was a complex character and was 99% calculating psychopath with 0.5% likability, and 0.5% redeemable status.

 photo IMG_3821_zpstxymou1y.jpg

Most of the characters in this book were alarmingly dysfunctional, but the story flowed beautifully and the main characters were unhinged in the best possible ways! And the ending?? It left me feeling absolutely SPEECHLESS!

Favorite line by EA?
"Don’t worry. The bone makes a damn terrible noise, and the spine”—he kisses right below my ear—“it’s a bitch to sever sometimes, but we’ll do it together.”

Minor Issues?
While I enjoyed the writing style in this story, the main characters addressing the reader at times (in the very beginning only) made those areas feel a bit too contrived.

POVs:
Triggers: Yes!
Romance:

Thoroughly enjoyed this collaboration of work created by these authors!

OMG. What the hell did I just read???
Sick and addictive read. These words sum this book up. Dear God, this duo nearly killed me with their wicked little words.
Miranda is a socially awkward woman who is trying to make a career in creative writing. Her big chance comes when an international best selling author needs someone to co-author a new book with.
Miranda is chosen but she never saw it coming. Edwin is not who she thought he was. He has secrets; deadly secrets.

Enter a world of murders, sick minds and perversion.
The book is fast paced and even though I guessed what was going on pretty soon, I couldn't stop reading. If you are looking for a collaboration that will make you gasp and flinch in horror, then this is for you.
I recommend this flawlessly woven tale.

"I do believe in love. As black as my little heart may be, I do believe in this world, there is someone for every asshole. It's just a matter of stumbling into them. And not ever letting them slip away."

This book is about Edwin Allen Mercer, a New York Times best-selling crime author and Miranda Cross, a Creative Writing graduate at Emory University and an employee of the Little Novel Bookstore off Fifth and Main in Atlanta. While EA Mercer is a brilliant writer he is also a twisted and self-centered egomaniac.
Miranda Cross is his opposite. She is a shy, withdrawn girl who hates getting attention. Due to her upbringing she has become very untrusting and lacking self-confidence.
Jackson Peralta, Jax, is a homicide detective on the hunt for the serial killer who also murdered his little sister. I'm the kind of guy who only connects with people who can understand my pain. Even if it's a silent understanding, it's an understanding nonetheless. To be understood in this life, I mean to be truly understood, it’s a gift. Not many people get to experience it.

This book is a wicked work of art; I thought I had it all figured out but was totally blown away by the twisted evil ending! Never saw THAT coming!

Thinking back a lot of “things” make sense now, although

The door hangs from the hinges. The window is slightly cracked How??

Another barrage of images floods my mind. Chastity on the bed, facedown and bound. Me behind her, pulling her hair and fucking her like I was a man.

This dark twisted evil genius work of art is a book that I wholeheartedly recommend to lovers of this genre.

I'm not changing my rating. Because this book was excellent due in large part to Stevie J Cole. But I will never read another book with BT URRUELA attached to the project. His actions and apology speak volumes about his personality.

---ORIGINAL REVIEW---

4.5 stars for the ending I did not see coming.

(THAT is some seriously unusual shit, let me tell you.)

I pictured Christian Bale in American Psycho the entire time.

Until that ending...and...yeah.

***(O_o)***
Mind. Blown.

"Just because the man is being nice—and comes across creepy as hell while doing so—it doesn't mean anything. It doesn't."

Famous last words ;)

There is little I can say without giving away the plot. That would be a crime. <<(Can't believe I just wrote that. I'm a totally unrepentant spoiler-whore.)

If you want dark and twisted....

This. Is. For. You.

The POVs were distinctive and the writing kept me fully engaged. I haven't been overly fond of Ms. Cole's novels...but her collaborations are fantastic. If you are looking for another dark read by her, but with a H/h HEA angle, check out "Wrong" - which I also loved...and will probably read it again soon because of this book. I will definitely look out for more collaborations from Ms. Cole.

This is not a romance.
This is true horror/suspense.

SG Ladies, I don't think this would trip your triggers on OW/OM...as there aren't any..but this is about the serial killing of hookers and I'm sure that's another trigger for many.

This quote is just so you know the level of ugly before you decide to read.

"It’s not like I’m killing valuable, productive members of society here. These are fucking whores. Scum of the earth. How could someone sell their body for sex? What must have happened to a person in their life to lead them to that? And what easy pickings they make. If you trust a stranger and fuck a stranger, don’t complain when things come back to bite you in the ass. That’s just logic. If they can’t smell it coming, they belong on my table."

*****5 Blindsided Stars*****

A dark and at times creepy, sinister, and extremely twisted story! And in typical Stevie J. Cole fashion she completely blew my mind!

Edwin Mercer is a New York Times bestselling author of dark horror, all of his books have had great reviews and sold well, until his last book, which got some pretty bad reviews. So on his newest book he's looking for someone to co-author with. And by the way, he's also a serial killer.

Enter Miranda Cross, a young up and coming author, whose idol is Edwin Mercer, she, along with thousands of others, sent Edwin a short story to read and review. And of course she won.. wouldn't have been much of a story if she hadn't, right?

From the first day she met Edwin, she had bad feelings about him, just that something was off... and he was angry, and took his rage out on everything, and everyone, around him, including Miranda.

Then we have Jax Peralta, a homicide detective who has been trying to nail this serial killer, and coincidentally is also a big fan of Edwin Mercer.

This book seemed a bit slow to me... but then at one point it all comes together and it's well and truly an "Oh fuck! No!" moment.
This book took everything I just read and turned it completely upside down in the most startling way possible! I wanted to gently lay my Kindle down and run far, far away! I loved it!

This is a total MUST READ if you love Stevie J. Cole and her dark and twisted mind!

I would have enjoyed knowing a bit more about Jax, a bit more about his background, but the book was complete without it. This book is a stand alone.

*ARC REVIEW**

First and foremost, I want to give a huge THANK YOU for selecting me as one of the Lucky few to receive an ARC of this horrifyingly, glorious book!

I am not new to reading Suspense/Thrillers, but I do tend to stick to books that are more on the Dark Romance side, rather than books with guts and gore.

Wicked Little Words...what do I say, where do I begin?

Stevie J. Cole and BT Urruela did an outstanding job of co-writing this story. From one chapter to the next, I have a difficult time deciphering which writer's words I am reading and that is a great thing! The story is cohesive and precise and captures the reader and places them within the action.

If you have read Stephen King or watched his movies, then this book is one that you will surely enjoy. If you are a reader that usually sticks to one genre, I highly recommend you step out of your comfort zone and read Wicked Little Words. Even if you scare easily or are turned off by murder mysteries, you will appreciate the quality of the work, the heart and soul that has gone into this book, the magnitude of the genius that is Stevie J. Cole and BT Urruela!

**This book is a Murder Suspense with a little smidgen of Romance thrown in**

Are you ready to have your mind turned inside out? Wicked Little Words will do that and more. This book gave me the creeps to say the least and the ending was twistedly unexpected.

Honestly, some of the graphic details had me shuttering. Right from the beginning the story takes a dark tone. It’s perfect for Halloween or a late night read during a storm.

Miranda Cross is a college student studying creative writing and has been selected to co-author with the New York Times Bestselling author, Ethan Allen (EA) Mercer. Ethan last book received poor reviews so he has decided to work with a female co-author to soften up his writing. Miranda is invited to stay with Ethan in his log cabin in the woods in order to write when inspired. Miranda is terrified from Ethan’s erratic behavior and vacated eyes watching her every move. Ethan keeps his secret hidden in the kill shed out back. Detective Jackson 'Jax' Peralta finds himself in the middle of all the chaos.

This story is a dark thriller entangled with suspense, mind games and plenty of body parts. 5 Haunting Stars!

"Do you think any of those fucking readers paid attention to my writing before I started killing people? Before I started getting the murders in my own novels as realistic as possible? You bet your goddamn ass they didn't. They want the gore. They want the carnage. They want the mayhem. And goddamn it, I'm going to give it to them."

**** 4.5 Totally Wicked Read Stars ****

"Please, save me your tears. I have no use for them. Now your blood," I grin. "That's a whole other matter.".

EA Mercer is a best selling author of the dark and gruesome reads that so many have fallen in love with. But now, EA has stumbled into a bad case of writers block. To overcome his writer's block, he and his agent look for the next up and coming author to ghost write with him.

EA is not your typical good looking guy and amazing writer. He has a side of him that most can't tolerate and most have no idea what is about to hit them when they come face to face with him.

Miranda Cross is a college student with excellent writing skills. A writing skill that is dark and gritty and matches her most favorite author and idol, EA Mercer. Miranda's writing comes from within her dark soul as Miranda has secrets of her own. Secrets from a horrible childhood she buried to never be told.

 photo miranda_zpslebzjbn5.jpg

Miranda is chosen to meet with her dream writer and she is beyond exciting until they come face to face. EA is nothing Miranda has ever expected and being around him sets Miranda on high alert that something is not right.

"Have you ever had a moment when you were in complete control? When the world felt as if it were just a marble in your balled up fist.? That's how I feel when I fuck and when I kill."

The joining of these two authors will explode and lead down a path what is real and was it fake filled with blood and darkness.

Stevie J Cole and BT Urruela.....WOW....this was a twist of such goodness!!!

This was disappointing. I absolutely loved the ending but all but the last 15% of this book was very slow and not much happened so I honestly couldn't give it a higher rating.

I freaking love this bat shit crazy book. What did I just read? What happened to my moral compass? haha I would have never picked up a book like this because who the hell can love a serial killer? Oh boy, it's a nice little quick read that delivers so many emotions. I was screaming "run" in my head a few times; I had a lot of fun reading this book. I hope there's a movie based on this book soon, I don't even care if it's lifetime.
It follows the story of an innocent antisocial college student that ends up working for a New York's Best Seller that has bad habits and a bad temper with absolutely no good side. What will happen to awkward, socially challenged Miranda?

A Wicked Literary Masterpiece Bound in Darkness

I'm mind blown. I've sat here at my computer writing and deleting this review multiple times. Words are failing me, and that's really saying something because I rarely shut up.

I'm in awe of the sheer brilliance that BT Urruela and Stevie J Cole obviously possess to be able create this story. The co-writing is flawless! They compliment each other's writing so perfectly that to be honest, if the author names were not on the cover I would have thought this book was the product of just one person's twisted mind. I love each of their solo books, and together they are evil masterminds ready to take the literary world by storm!

EA Mercer is a NYT best selling author, who has had tremendous success in the literary world. However his last book didn’t do quite as well, drawing in a slew of negative reviews. So EA puts together a contest for Creative Writing students to enter for a chance to become his new co-author.

Miranda Cross is a quiet, socially awkward aspiring author. She does all she can to keep to herself and not have to talk to other people. Books, especially dark fiction, are her escape. Which is why she worships EA Mercer. So when the opportunity to work with him arises, she’s none to eager for the chance. However, upon meeting her idol, she starts to wonder if there’s something off kilter about him or if it is just her imagination and paranoia getting the best of her.

I'm a huge fan of dark books, so Wicked Little Words was right up my alley, but never have I ever been left feeling so ruined. From start to finish, I was captivated by the plot, characters and suspense. My heart was in my throat almost the entire time, and with every turn of the page I didn't know if I was headed toward salvation or doom, but I could not put it down. It's gritty and raw, gory and suspenseful and downright thrilling. And while the identifiable characters, use of foreshadowing and overall horror are reminiscent of a Stephen King novel, there are elements similar to that of Edgar Allan Poe that showcase the literary genius of Urruela and Cole.

Wicked Little Words is without a doubt my favorite book out of those I’ve read so far this year. It starts with a prologue that had me hiding under my covers, holding my kindle in a death like grip and I became more and more entranced as I devoured each page. And despite the fact that I hung onto every written word, the authors still managed to completely blind side me with what is quite possibly the best plot twist I have read to date.

In other words, Wicked Little Words is nothing short of PHENOMENAL. I can only give the utmost praise to BT Urruela and Stevie J Cole for writing a book that actually left me speechless.

I'm still on the fence about splatterpunk. Going into this book, I didn’t realize it was splatterpunk. However, I will give the author credit in successfully creating a gruesome, terrifying portrait of a serial killer and the wickedly evil things he does to his victims.

The details were horrific. They painted a vivid picture of torture and killings. I think splatterpunk fans will like the writing and appreciate it much more than I did. The ending was terrific. I didn’t see it coming! Wow!!

I wasn't a fan of the dialogue. The way the female MC's talked to each other just didn't ring true to me. It lacked a feminine perspective. I also didn’t like the way the killer EA Mercer called the protagonist "dear." It really bothered me for some reason. It felt off and a tad silly.

I think if the dialogue and character development had been stronger, I would've liked this book way more. The plot was suspenseful and kept me eagerly glued to the pages to find out how it would end.

I dislike that KU book notes can't be added to gr!

62%. I just want to shout at her, go with your gut instinct!

Oh my, where to start without giving anything away. I really enjoyed the story. Definitely a good twist on your dark serial killer reads. I never saw the ending coming. Really I think there was only one clue, and I totally missed it.

So the entire concept is a writer bringing their story to life. Really writing about how they kill women. And use the killing as their inspiration. It's a crazy gross ride. But the ending is well worth the torture!

Blue Reviews WICKED LITTLE WORDS by Stevie J. Cole and BT Urruela

The best I can do is to try and relay to you my most honest reactions and raw emotions while reading WICKED LITTLE WORDS. This is not my normal preferred genre and there were times where I was afraid that I would have to walk away from it.

I might have been able to put it down because of some of the intense insanity that was being played out on those pages. But if I had had the strength to leave the story because of my own personal boundaries and weaknesses, then I would have done myself the worst kind of disservice as a reader because regardless of the psychotic brutality in some scenes, the writing was absolutely BRILLIANT.

Stevie J. Cole and BT Urruela, have not only written a book where I feel that some fancy New York book publisher should grab up right away, write them both big fat checks, sign them for a cable series or movie deal for this story, they have also, together with their words, as demented and dark as they are, created something that left me wanting to scream from the rooftops of how truly PROUD I am of how their words have completely blown me away!

For anyone who enjoys reading books that are dark, even hitting into the horror category at times, if you love books that give your heart a cardio workout as well as making your mind blow right out of your skull because you never saw that coming, then you HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK!!

The plot was nothing less than GENIUS.
From page one, I was falling down the rabbit hole of an absolute suspenseful melody of a storyline that completely captivated me.
A story that consumed my thoughts and my dreams.
A story that had me covering my open mouth with my hand to hold in the screams that wanted to come out while I was reading, as if my screaming at my Kindle would do any good at all.
A story that made my chest hurt from my heart racing.
A story that made my hands shake for an hour after I finished reading the last line because of the immense adrenaline rushing through my body.
A story that when it was over, gave me the very same feeling that I would get from doing a really intense workout and I would have to mentally fight with myself to not run to the bathroom to throw up. I didn’t want to throw up because of the story, it was because of the most intense rush it gave me and my body needed a way to release it, much like what happens during a hard workout or maybe like when you get off of a crazy and horrifying roller coaster.
A story that made me go meme crazy just to get people interested in a book that I felt that anyone who can read this kind of genre needs to freaking read this book!!
A story that made me want to take both authors by their shoulders, shake them and yell, “What the eff is wrong with y’all?”
A story that also made me want grab them both by their shoulders, hug them hard and to celebrate their super ability’s to put a story of this magnitude on paper.

For me personally, being just a Jesus freak, wife, mom, reader, writer, quirky book reviewer, hobby photographer, pizza lover, iVirgin, hilarious meme maker, author stalker, Note 7 owner, expert filtered selfie taker, almost made out with JJ Watt’s chapstick, I’ve got 44 cents in my bank account and all around hater of people who entice division, drama and hate, in my humble opinion, WICKED LITTLE WORDS ranks high up there with Stephen King, Anne Rice, Alessandra Torre and Caroline Krepnes with story-line genius and spectacular all-consuming writing.

Five Stars doesn’t even come close to doing this book justice with what it put me through!!!

READ WICKED LITTLE WORDS….if you can!!!

And if you can read it…FREAKING WRITE AND LEAVE YOUR REVIEWS FOR IT AND ALL THE OTHER BOOKS YOU’VE READ BECAUSE THEY MEAN EVERYTHING TO AUTHORS!!!

I give Wicked Little Words....FIVE FREAKING HEART ATTACK PANIC ATTACK SLEEPING WITH THE LIGHTS ON FANTASTIC PHENOMENAL SHAKING HANDS MEME MAKING SCREAMING FROM THE ROOFTOPS CAROLINE KREPNES READ THIS BOOK STARS!!!!!!

Hot Damn! I can't even begin to say how this one ends! So not expecting that!! Dark! Thrilling! Heartstopping! Graphic! And, Scary!!! If you are into dark reads, you can't miss this one! I don't even know where to begin so as not to give away spoilers. But, this will f**k with your mind after all is said and done. Read it in one sitting. That's how consuming and mind-blowing it was. Two authors writing together. Feeding off of each other's words. POV's of three different characters. Why only 4 stars? It's the ending. Still trying to figure it out.The questions just keep rolling in. And, is that it?? Will there be more to come??? I just can't wrap my thoughts about not wanting to see more from these two amazing authors writing together...

I can't even put into words this book and how it made me feel. There were so many OMG moments, very little romance which ironically I did not miss. The creativity in Stevie and BT to write these details and put it together to that epic ending is something I will never comprehend. This book is not romance necessarily but is a work of sheer genius! :) 5

I'm vacillating between giving this 3.5 and 4 stars. The writing was good and the story flowed well but I kind of felt they let the cat out of the bag in the few few chapters including the prologue so 3.5 it is!

hello all you sick motherfuckers!

aaand this is a buddy read w/ young ladies hülya, tuğba, dilek. yeah.

before say anything u need to know "somethings" (of course you do cuz' my personality so fucking important).

- I watched so many -almost every one but all of good ones- suspense and and mystery and thriller and horror(violent ones, not haunted) movies.
- I usually like watching, not reading these genres.
- I watched god damn "a serbian movie" and thrust me after it i had enough.
- I have 'deep web' experience. (dont try to surf the deep web, as its name implies, deep... it's hard to do anyway.)
-> so violence, horror, blood, murder, torture or other sick things dont make my stomach turn or vomit or disgust.
- I'm an obsessive and I'm not proud of. but more than this I have mental disorders (im not a maniac) yes i said this before in my reviews.
-> the big so, the most important thing is: if in book or in movie or in real life, if there is no mental, emotional, "psychological" based reason or moves or fiction or characters, it's not touching me, not even a bit. but if there is, i'm just dying for it.

so, i didnt mindfucked (authors gave into my hand). usually i dont mindfuck. i can pass this. and in this book, any sick things didnt affect me i said why (even at the end cuz it was predictable). and after u read the book u can tell me it was "psychological", no it wasnt. Edwin was, but she isn't. Jax was maybe can be psychological but she is not, at least for me. For authors, Miranda was like a tool to shock me, not make me depressed or sob in tears or pissed from tension. i couldn't get her wounds and bloodthirstiness as mine cuz just like i said, Miranda like created for to be a shock machine, and i didnt and i said why.

at the beginning, fiction was very good, just it shouldnt go like this, to me. my opinion, Miranda should fall in love w/ Edwin. yeah i know i'm a romantic bitch but im not talking about pussifying Edwin's personality. (but either i dont like to read an other bonnie and clyde.) it would be great to read edwin's posessions and all his suffers. even maybe she should kill her, but better than this he should kill her (and others) and then write his last book and then kill himself. (maybe i'm a psychopath too LOL) and i'm talking about pages and lines about his suffer and posession and instability- between killing her or kissing her, between keeping her letting her. so this book would be more powerful, deep and sharp, at least for me. bc i loved reading every fucking sentences about Edwin's madness. so, story should go & end with Edwin. for the records, i love Edwin.

« “It’s what must be done. You’ll see how beautiful this will be. How perfect we will be together. How wonderful our words are. And when they read them… They will read our words. Our words. They will read our words.” »

(even maybe Jax could be more. and btw, why jax fucking rough? u dont have to write a rough fuck scene unconditionally in these kind of book)

but dont worry this is me, i was tensed too, i said 'omg' too but on the other hand it was predictable and meh. i said omg before i get the truth, after i got, i was like *meh, cmon*.

one more thing, i know every sick bastard think same way, move and stop same way, but there r differences. look at history. Edwin was just like others but YOU as a author, suprise me and change all these cliches cuz YOU said at the beginning from Edwin's mouth, he is so clever and watchful and smart. yeah i loved when he lost his control when he saw her with jax but it shouldt that way (i said how into upper paragraph). or such as, why she begged him "Please..." for fuck sake... ŞAŞIRT BENİ BEBEYİM!

this book is the last book
night night, dear
