❤❤MASTERPIECE ❤❤

This was my first love story other than my Shakespearean and Jane Austen novels. And I would say that being a literature student, this is the first time that I've truly been at a loss of words.

What am I supposed to say?
How can I do this book justice?
Maybe tell you all that it was perfect?
The best, most heartbreaking book that has touched me like none other?
Yes, for sure!!!

The author has delivered an emotionally charged and uniquely beautiful MASTERPIECE that will capture your heart and soul.
He has done an amazing job in making all three characters, Aayan, Siya and Samaira, feel so real to the readers.
Specially "Aayan"... His character is going to crush you. When he cried, I cried. When he smiled, I smiled. When he broke, I broke. You just can't keep yourself from falling in love with him. His love towards Siya made me realise the true definition of love.
The storyline is indeed so unique and captivating that it doesn't let the reader avert his eyes from the book without reaching the end.

And the cherry on top were the most ethereal poems in between. My favourite was..

"KABHI MERE LIYE... KABHI TERE LIYE..."

"Ye rimjhim baarish aaj bhi aati hai...
Ye chaandani aaj bhi sharmati hai...
Kabhi hauley se muskurati hai...
To kabhi mujhe satati hai...
Par har dafa maaf kar deta hu isey...
Kabhi mere liye...
Kabhi tere liye..."

"Ye gulaab aaj bhi mehektey hain...
Ye panchi aaj bhi chehektey hain...
Kabhi mere saath gaatey hain...
To kabhi mere baad aatey hain...
Par har dafa gungunaata hoon inkey saath...
Kabhi mere liye...
Kabhi tere liye...''

And my favourite quote was..

"Respect every drop of water, even if it shed from your eyes, or it falls from the sky. Because on shedding from eyes the heart aches, and on falling from sky it pains God..."

I wish I could write more about this book, but I just can't explain the "amazingness" of it with my simple, unworthy words, so I am going to tell you what you NEED to do....

JUST READ IT!

IT'S "SOUL-TOUCHING"...

And I bet you're going to be a fan of "My Inspiration" (Bhratashree❤)...

Have trust in love?... Just read it, and you're never going to give a chance to your love to be alone for a single minute.

This book made me forgot this world and put me in Aayan's world of unconditional yet heart-rending love along with soul-shattering sorrow.

Narrative was damn excellent. While reading it I felt as if it's all happening in front of my eyes.

A story so sweet, lovable, and describing the actual meaning of love. Specially the unexpected ending is really THE ENDING! Made me speechless for some moments.
Definitely a Masterpiece!!!

As a whole,a great emotional journey... A fantastic book worth reading a thousand times.

I'll not at all be surprised if Kisnaa becomes a bestselling author in coming days. As he obviously deserves that for this book!

A big thanks to my best friend for presenting me with such a memorable gift. My best birthday gift ever!!

Story

The story revolves around the Protagonist Aayan and his love, Siya. Then happens the entry of Samaira. The first twist comes when Siya dumped Aayan, even after all his love and efforts. The author takes the reader to the journey of finding out why Siya broke up with Aayan in the first place.

Book Review

Kisnaa, the author of Should I Hate or Love has written this beautiful book with utter simplicity and feelings. The language is lucid and easy to connect.

The character of Aayan is wonderfully penned down. The innocence of his character, when he worships Siya, or when he keeps her photo in his hostel room, is simply adorable.

The story line is simple, connecting and loveable. The plot is simple and effective. The author has earned full points in the ending part. The character of Samaira could have been explained more.

The story appears predictive at some points, but the cuteness of the protagonist, Aayan, overcomes it.

The poems by the author deserve a special mention here. The poems are well written and easy to connect.

The book cover and the title are mesmerizing.

Overall an interesting read!

found this story sweet, heartwarming and lovable.
The story is engaging. It will surely keep the readers hooked on to the book.
I was surprised to see beautiful poems in between the story.

The end was very emotional & touchy. It broke my heart ,Heart wrenching story. Maybe you will start crying after reading it.
I truly loved this book with all my heart!....

What i felt is that the blurb is not upto the mark, may be its not complete.

The story revolves around the protagonist Aayan .
Aayan loved Siya , but she hurted him and left him broken.Aayan thought that Siya doesnot understands his love & feelings for her.
So Aayan tries to forget her & move further is his life. He became IPS officer. Soon Samaira comes in his life and She loves him too much, they decided to marry each other.

After some days, they get to know that while dying Siya left a letter for Aayan. It contained her true feelings for him , where she expressed her love .
She didnt want to spoil Aayan's life as she was suffering from blood cancer. So she kept it secret.

This incident left Aaayan lonely & full of pain.
Life has to be lived, no matter how much pain and suffering it gives .

Love is Immortal, true love never dies.
Love cannot be defined , it is something beautiful which can't be explained in words.

I recommend this book to everyone.

Overall its a nice read :- 4.5/5 stars.

I give 2.5 stars to “Should I hate or love” by Kisnaa.

The story is simple love story between Aayan and Siya. Aayan a simple, innocent, intelligent and hardworking boy. But he is from a dysfunctional family with a sadistic step dad. Siya is a beautiful simple girl in his class. They fall in love. They come close and then grow apart. This all happens in flashback. All this is being told by Aayan to Samaira, his current girlfriend. This is the story of Aayan journey from Siya to Samaira.

Though there is one boy and two girls, it is not a love triangle in traditional sense. Because Samaira comes when Sia leaves him. The story is moving and romantic. Lovers of genre will like it immensely. Each chapter has one or two Hindi Kavita (Poems) which are also translated in English. Which shows that author is proficient in both Hindi and English as well as Poetry and Prose.

The story gives some gyaan too like doing things for happiness.

“You always take care of your health. Sometimes unhygienic food is good too. If for one’s happiness, one gets ill a time or two, it’s certainly worth it. You miss the mist beautiful days of rain by just sitting inside your home. Life’s enjoyment is in these small things. You are never going to get happiness if you’ll search for it outside. Start living your life on your own terms for once, every happiness will come to you on its own.”

On the other hand the story is quiet meandering, tired and old. There is nothing new or fresh. It is all clichéd. The scenes showing his father sadism are repulsive. This is a not-feel-good story.

A strictly one time read only for those who are sucker of romance.

Review- Should I Hate or Love is journey of Aayan, who is successful, handsome and very talented guy. This book is about his journey from Love to Heart break and to Love. Author has done good job keeping this book simple and realistic also the poems in the book add charm and make this book more interesting.

I received free copy of this book from Cyclopes Literary Services and Nishant Joshi in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

Book Title and Cover- Book Title is confusing but in positive manner and catches readers to know more about the story.
Cover is beautiful and eye pleasing. A man walking down a road with his back towards us. It is appropriate with the content.

Language and Narration- Language of the book is very very simple yet lucid. Narration is done in third person narrative. Narration is simple and binds readers with the book.

Every Chapter contains one or two poems and makes reading an interesting experience. Some of the poems are really brilliant.

Characterization- Aayan is successful and simple guy. He's tall, handsome and everything a girl would fall for.  His love interest is Siya, who is rather complex character. She left him for a reason.

Samaira is chirpy and cute and loves Aayan so much. It was really fun to read about her.

Storyline and Plot- Storyline is simple and realistic without many twists and turns. Although simple and realistic storyline, book fails us to give anything new and fresh.

The book could be enjoyed by Romance Fiction lovers.

Rating-
Book Title and Cover- 3/5
Language and Narration- 3.5/5
Characterization- 2.5/5
Storyline and Plot- 2/5

Final Rating-  2.5/5

All in all, Should I Hate or Love is simple tale of love which follows a simple plot and serves us poetic storyline.

Kisnaa has meticulously written emotions of the characters and thus making his story more pronounced and adding depth of thoughts in one's mind. I must say it’s not only a love story, it’s a story of a simple child who is lacking of love and care from his family, which he could not get from his parents just because of the fractions in their relationship. The writing style is lucid, easy to read and the thoughts expressed well. The language is good and straightforward so it is a pleasure to read. I'd recommend this book to all as it's surely going to make you think.

I completed the book in one sitting. While reading tears were not staying in my eyes and my heart was feeling the pain of the story.. I smiled, cried and felt each and every emotion described in the book...

Not only this, as a parent I have learnt so many things from this pure soul character “Aayan”; every child has feelings we should respect our kids feelings too. It was so heart touching.. I loved the protagonist 'Aayan' the way he thinks. Story was beautifully framed that it took me away from my daily chores all the way... Thanks to the author for sharing this story.. Wonderful..

Overall, I would say that the author has done justice to his debut and presents a book that will stay with his readers for long.

One reads a lots of stories in one's life. Some with a bitter end , some with happy ending. But in reality , life is a humdrum of mixed affairs. "Should I Hate or Love" is a very simple story.A boy meets a girl, they fall in love, but instead of happily ever after, there's a sad ending. But it was the emotions in the book which made it worth reading.
The best thing about this story is it evokes the same kind of emotions which one expects from the romantic love stories. It is not like the usual tearjerker but one can sense the reality dawning in every word. The character of male protagonist is crafted very well . Any one can relate to him in one or other way.
It is often said no story is without loopholes and even this is not an exception. The blurb is a real put off for me. It doesnt raise the appetite in one's mind to read the book which is the primary purpose of the blurb at first place. Even the cover page is quite disappointing. It seems dull and mundane.
Having said that , inspite of these shortcomings , still the story brings a fresh perspective. The book is written in a fresh and honest voice. The characters feel truly alive. It is beautiful, simple, short and funny. It is sweet and touching but not overly melodramatic. It is a quintessential love story and is fully worth the few well-spent reading hours.
Looking forward to more from the author.

‘Should I hate or love' is a love story pivoted on parenting of a child who suffers its disgrace till the end. Life has surprises, this book defines it with great virtues. The way Aayan gets separated with Siya literally make readers think that “Siya needs a psychiatrist”. But the questions like “will she marry Aayan?”, “Which is Samaira’s destiny?” hold the readers till the end. The book Dipped in overwhelming Urdu poetries by different poets fits greatly with the situation of the story. One of the keen thing in the book is its title “Should I hate or love”, using the negative shade “ hate “ prior to “love” seeks the attention of a reader. Some concept of using male prostitution to overcome the financial needs in one of the chapters and is a key point in Aayan’s life to choose between good and bad. Social crises like women physical harassment and Bad parenting attracts one, who seeks philosophy behind this fiction. The reader didn’t understand that why Aayan’s father was a psychic character. Sometimes it irritates the way Aayan’s father reacts to the queries of the person interacts with him. The main pivot of the whole story is Aayan’s father, the change in his love life with Siya because to whom his father affects the whole story till the end. One of the basic surprise which had not been projected in proper way is Aayan’s unknown reaction towards his stepfather. Readers suddenly gets surprised to know it in the ending course.

My personal views for this book is mainly on its emotional stuff. Which is served in most common manner (cliché). From the beginning Ayan’s life is showcased like he is there to get excruciated every time. On the other, Siya’s life is projected into mood swings due to the non-reliable relationships. Samaira remains a hidden character in the book as no description is there about her past. The long poetries in Urdu can make a non-poetry lover to skip to the story part.

The cover illustration of the book defines the life of Aayan. A man with rough patches and struggle to get love in the world, then he gets it gifted in a form of Siya. She nurtures him and makes him strong till his father ruins his love life. Samaira is one, with whom he was fooling around to make Siya jealous. The end makes the Shit, real, and Life happens with him. The fallen leaves on the way are the losses in Aayan’s life.

BLURB:
Samaria, who seemed to be madly in love with Aayan, was still trying to be romantic with him. She believed that one day Aayan would marry her and make her complete with his unconditional love. But perhaps she hadn’t listened to Aayan properly when he said that Siya was the same girl whom he had lived since he saw her for the first time, and every night he slept just to meet her in her dreams…
MY SAY:
The story revolves around a boy named Aayan, who falls head over heals for Siya. He becomes so attached to her that he starts worshipping her photo when she isn’t around.
In the beginning, he tries to convince her not to complain about his friend but the story suddenly takes a U-turn and they fall in love.
Aayan is so committed in the relationship that he doesn’t even look at other girls in his college and stays as far as possible. He also keeps a photo of Siya in his hostel room where he literally worships her every day and night.
The story again takes a U-turn when Siya ditches Aayan and he is shattered to pieces. He even decides to leave his exam only to meet his love for the last time but even this does not belittles his love for her. He becomes an IPS officer only because Siya had once asked him to and thus proves his love for her.
The story takes a giant leap at the end when he discovers why Siya had rejected him and I assure you that as a reader you will not be able to control your tears when you come to know about it.
MERITS:
1. The language used is lucid and easy to read with minimum errors.
2. The author has well described the character of Aayan and there are a lot of things one can learn from him.
3. The love of Aayan for Siya is just incredible and one will have to read the book to know about it.
4. The poems written by the author are cherry on the cake.
DEMERITS:
1. The character of Samaira could have been elaborated.
RATOMETER: 9.5/10

I got this book as Goodreads giveaway.
Story is very sentimental. The author claims that this is a true story and has written this in a very boring way. Many a times it feels irritated reading the story! The climax feels stupid! The only good thing are the poems. The author could have released the poems book instead of putting those poems in this story.
