Deadpool to a suicidal teen girl about to jump off the rooftop of the destroyed Avengers building:

'Don't Jump! Please. Not here.'
'Get off me!'
'Parker industries is just a few blocks down. That's the sort of address you fling yourself to death at.'
'You-you are making jokes?!'
'I was bitten by a sad radioactive clown.'

...And so begins this short story in typical Deadpool style. And like a typical Deadpool story, this is just blissfully fun. Kept a stupid smile on my face from beginning to end. Moreover, there's also some valuable life lesson from the wise Mr. Pool as a parting gift:
You gotta remember: No matter how bad things get... That life is fluid. There's always the chance that something great is waiting right around the next corner. You just have to find a way to keep rounding corners.
What more do I need from a 20-page comic about a murderous mercenary?

I don't think a single issue of Deadpool has ever before summarized why I adore him better than this one. And that is: Deadpool is not the best. Often, he has no idea how to help. But when he needs to pull through, he does. When he can, where he can, he helps. And he does his best, like all of us.
Also the cover art is absolutely gorgeous.

Perfect issue!

Great story, great artwork.

A girl wants to commit suicide by jumping off a roof. A roof that is in Deadpool's building. And Deadpool is "trying" to "help" her with a way only Deadpool would "help" someone.

Really good read!

How to tackle sensitive issues with a sense of humor? Break tension but don't make light. This issue of Deadpool is probably one of the best comics I've seen discussing suicide. While Deadpool does a somewhat questionable job (in true fashion) at coaxing her away, he in the end does the right thing by admitting that he isn't the right person to help and drops them off to a hospital.

"You gotta remember: no matter how bad things get...that life is fluid. There's always the chance that something great is waiting right around the next corner. You just have to find a way to keep rounding corners."

-Deadpool

This story follows Deadpool as he tries to talk a girl, Danielle, off a ledge. They go on an adventure throughout the night beating up bad guys but eventually...they stop at hospital. Where Danielle eventually decides to go admit herself into. It took some talking to from Deadpool but he was upfront and honest about it, that she needed help and he was not the guy to help her.

The message at the end by Gerry Duggan where he tackles on how Deadpool as a charcter handles someone who wants to unalive themselves is so raw. As he said, "Nothing is more frustrating than not having the right words when you need them most." But when words fail, there are professional help one can seek. The question/dilemma now is whether a person has access or has the ability to seek for such help.

soy bastante fan del deadpool de las peliculas, y me cruce con un tik tok que nombraban este comic y pense ¿pq no?.
la verdad me encanto, como el reconoce que no puede ayudarla y que ella no esta loca, solo necesita un poco de ayuda.

There's a lot of "superhero stops a teen from committing suicide" comics out there, but none quite like this one. Deadpool, who has the most unstable mental health in any comic universe, trying to prevent a teenage girl from killing herself, by taking her to Hamilton, beating up old people, and general vigilante mayhem. He knows he is ill-equipped for this situation, but that's why this one-shot is so perfect. He doesn't know what to do, but he's still doing it. Sure, Superman, Spider-Man, Batman, Captain America, etc. can give wonderful "life is ______" speeches. Deadpool just spends time with them.

I think this is a quintessential example of how to do an anti-hero right. He stops Danielle from jumping through morbid jokes and beating up people, but he nonetheless succeeds at bringing her to a hospital and getting her help. He cares as much as he acts like he doesn’t and it makes him flawed but human. This issue was really comforting without being Hallmark-movie-cheesy.

This going in my list of top ten best comics ever. Deadpool tries to help someone who is about to attempt suicide. The subject was handled extremely well. The subject is very personal to me, and I was impressed with the way the author and the artist dealt with such a difficult topic.

Worth reading just this issue even if you aren't a Deadpool fan.

I never thought I'd see this side of Deadpool, but, I have to say, it was oddly inspiring. This is a comic with the usual Deadpool charm, yet also gives an unique perspective on a controversial topic. It was beautiful and calming to read, and it warmed my heart.

The Merc with a Mouth saves a suicidal girl. I never expected such a wholesome issue. This was absolutely heartwarming.

Gooey center.

Wade stepping out of his comfort zone is unexpected. Usually he is stepping out of other people's, right? This is endearing and for all the Danielle's out there, this is a good message.

Another side to Deadpool

It was a very Deadpool issue but at the same time it was a different story that you wouldn't normally see Deadpool be part of. A really good read.

Deadpool saves a life

It's a great comic that shows the best super hero stories aren't about saving the world, but a single person.

I'm smart enough to know I am dumb enough that I can't help you.

Deadpool + Hamilton = dope.

Also: plus points for such a great story~
