Clan Bear #2

Bear's Touch

Rate this book
A Healer who can kill with a Touch. An Alpha Bear determined to save his son. Will they clash- or will they accept their bond?
Brilliant, skittish Lea spent years downplaying her power as a Healer. She doesn't want to bond to an Alpha, doesn't want to lose control of her life, or her gift. But when called upon by the Territory ruler to do something useful with her gift, Lea reluctantly travels to a strange Clan in order to heal a dangerously injured young Bear.

Alpha Yurii promises he won't try and bond the Healer to him. But resolve flees when he sees the snarky, curvy female for the first time. His Bear knows they were meant to be together- but Yurii can't break his word. And healing his son, Tanner, is more important than convincing a wary Healer that he is worth the risk to her heart and body.

Lea struggles to control her power, struggles to retain her independence in the face of unexpected temptation... should she trust that Yurii isn't a tyrant, but is a rare Alpha male willing to allow her autonomy? Is a fated matebond worth risking freedom- or her life? Because Yurii left out one important detail out when requesting her aid…

Fire breathing Dragons trying to take over the Clan territory.

This paranormal shifter romance is for readers who enjoy sassy, curvy heroines with major ‘tude, alpha males who leave their a**hole side at the gate, fated mates, and enough conflict to keep that thumb swiping left. 1st in a 3 part completed series, steamy love scenes and some language. Lea is a rare bear Shifter Healer that can secretly kill with her Touch.
In her clan they think she's a slacker and jobless but if they took the time they'd realise she runs a successful online business and is very successful.
Another clan desperately needs a healer so they request Lea to attend a recently turned bear Shifter and step-son of the Alpha.
As soon as Yurii the Alpha meets Lea he's knows she's his mate and while trying to look after a newly changed shapeshifter.
Lea really dislikes Alpha's because they always want to control others and make them follow there rules but because Lea is a Healer she's outside the Pack hierarchy and can't really be controlled.
Lea struggled with Yurii thinking he'll be like all other Alpha but he's very surprising and lets her have her way slot but does have dickish moments but other is a nice guy and becomes very possessive of his new mate.
Did enjoy this story a lot more then just another bear Shifter book.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review:
A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to get a teaser of this story. And that little teaser hooked me hook line and sinker, and this book managed to live up and surpass all of my expectations.

Lea is a bear and a healer, which makes her valuable and somewhat hunted by all of the alphas because to have a healer is to have a great advantage when it comes to clan "policies". And yet Lea has been hiding away, she refuses to be owned by any one. And that is one trait I can totally get behind, after all who wants to be owned by a person just because of something they were born with.

Yurii is the alpha of his clan so when his adopted son is mortally wounded he sends out a call for a healer and in return he gets Lea. With one stipulation. Do not bond with her. And yet that plan goes out the window when his bear meets her and will not let her go. Yurii is amazing, he may be alpha but he knows how to let his women have breathing room, while also being the grand protector of not only his women but his clan as well.

This was a great book involving bears, ex human husbands, and dragons.... Oh My. This was an amazing read and I would definitely recommend it to all paranormal romance lovers because it will suck you in. Especially the teaser at the end of the book. It is satisfying as a standalone and if you want to read it as a standalone then do NOT read the teaser at the end because it will have you reaching for your credit card so that you can buy the next book in the series.

This was yet another exceptional read by Ms. Alisyn.

In Demand!

I loved the dark wit of this feisty Healer. She has a reason for being so obnoxious to most, she is highly sought after and that's one thing she is adamant about, she does NOT want any alpha lording over her and all alphas would just love to get their hands on her, by any means necessary and it doesn't matter if she's already taken, or not either! No one really knows what they are, their method of healing is very deep, or how much power they have, just that they are very rare and everybody wants one.

Lea is such an individual, a little berserker, a little bear and a whole lot healer, but most of all she is her own person and won't let any alpha be the boss of her. When she meets the alpha Yurri she has to really make a gargantuan effort to keep her hands off him and soon learns that no matter how much you fight it, fate will always win.

Lea and Yurri are put through many scary situations and their bond is tested to the limit, will it hold?

I love this potpourri of paranormal, dragons, bears and so much more.

What an excellent book. I've taken to really like bear shifter novels, they're all so different. There are many different ways that bear clans could be different from typical shifter novels. And that's not even taking into account the world surrounding the shifter community. This one was fun, intricate and confusing at times. Lea is a strong female bear shifter that is also a healer. But the healer concept is one that I've never seen because she also has a defensive, venomous weapon touch. Between that and her extreme need of healers to have an alpha to lean on in order to not get 'lost' while immersed in healing.

Yurii is the alpha bear that asked for a healer's help when his clan is attacked by dragons. Yes, dragons. Awesome! Lea swoops in and is stubborn and crazy enough to shake everything up for this bear clan, get unexpected mated to the alpha and then pregnant. Not only is she apparently surprising fertile for a healer, but healers also have a truncated and difficult time while pregnant and, oh yeah, there's still problems with dragons.

I thoroughly enjoyed all the intricacies involved in this novel and actually started re-reading it right after finishing because I felt that I'd missed some of the details. All around excellent!

Lea is a healer in her clan but was sent to another clan needing help. The problem is there is a natural pull from healer to alpha and she thinks her doesn't want a mate. It's the reason she hides away from males.
Yurii is alpha of his clan. His first marriage was to a human male it didn't work out so he is surprised the pull to this young healer is so strong but he is going to do as he promised and not touch her as her alpha asked. At least that's the plan until she uses to much energy Healing his step son and he links to her to call her back.
While she is comming to terms with the attraction between them there is the danger of a dragon clan .
Interesting story, the characters are different and easy to connect to. The action is fun and there is lots of drama. Shifter fans should really enjoy this one

Intriguing storyline

An unmatched female healer is sent to another clan to help heal the alphas son who not only is recently changed but was attacked by a dragon. While helping the healer he starts a bond with her. To say she's pissed is mild. She trays to leave him but that's not going so well. While she's gone one of the dragons comes and asks for the healers help to undo her drainage to a female dragon. Intriguing storyline.

This story was very easy to read and flew by quickly. I throughly enjoyed Leas' fiery personality. I got a tad stumped on the two males had a baby part but hey, it's fiction so I went with it. Love the resolution in this book as well as the many open possibilities available for future books. All in all, a good PNR read.

This is the first book in the Clan Healer series and we meet the feisty healer Lea, who has managed to stay under the radar until she is sent to help Yurii's Clan. It's a great read, with plenty of action and suspense. There are several wonderful characters who add just the right amount of spice. I volunteered to read this book.

Spoiled Healer

Lea has been spoiled and sheltered because she is a rare healer. Sent to a clan with a mission to heal a child, she gets caught up in a turf war and discovers her fated mate is the Alpha. Lea is filled with sass and vinegar and that is what her new Alpha needs.

This was a fun read. The interaction between Yurii and Lea was interesting. They both have dominant personalities and had to work to find their happiness.

Lea is a healer.
She is also a werebear.
She is asked more like ordered to travel to another clan to heal an injured bear.
Lea was totally unprepared for what she met upon arrival.
Not only did she encounter an Alpha male, she encountered much more drama than she anticipated.
Lea had hidden away in her clan, trying to be low-key, unnoticed.
She liked it that way.
She never wanted to be mated.
She viewed it as being controlled, overrun, and she wanted no parts of that.
There's something about being a healer that makes her unique from other she-bears and makes her irresistible to males.
As soon as she meets Alpha Yurii, all those instincts are on high alert.
She wants out and away from him.
The attraction and pull to him is immediate and Lea fights with everything she's got.
Yurii initially planned to keep his hands to himself, but once he decides to keep the healer it's all hands on deck.
And when Lea finally stops fighting things get way more interesting.
But they also get more dangerous.
This story only gets deeper.

BEAR’S TOUCH is the first book in the Clan Healer series. Honestly, I thought this was a one-of and was ready to start whining that I want more… then I found out that there are already two more!

Okay, first I’ll tell you about Lea and Yurii. They are TNT in and out of the bedroom. Anything else I may say would be too far into the spoilers. I will say that I loved this story, absolutely.

The world that Emma Alisyn has created isn’t just ‘ours with a twist.’ It is more than just a roller coaster – it’s the whole amusement park! Suspend your understanding of shifter societies and be prepared for a whole new world.

Note: while I was given this book as a gifted ARC, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Bear's Touch by Emma Alisyn is the opening salvo for A Clan Bear Romance. This amazing read pulls you in from the first page and keeps you in thrall until the last page. There is so much packed into this read. Lots of action, snark, humor, deep emotion, turmoil, chaos, sexy shifters, dragons and witches. This is a story that is just plain addictive. Lea and Yurii have such wonderful chemistry and the secondary characters are clamoring to have their stories told! To be honest, I'm dying to read more... Here is an Emma Alisyn read that is truly not to be missed. This is a Mature Readers Only read.

This is a great story about a healer named Lea who mates with an Alpha named Yurii although she always said she would never mate with an alpha. Lea travels to Yurii's clan to heal a newly turned bear shifter who happens to be Yurii's stepson. Yurii is divorced and his attraction to Lea is immediate. Lea quickly becomes pregnant. A baby resulting from a healer and an alpha is rare. Unfortunately there are some dragons and evil humans who make things difficult for Yurii's clan of bears. Lots of action and you really get to know the characters in depth and a very surprising ending.

Pretty Good!

Lea is a bear shifter & a unmated healer from another clan; she's also snarky.

Yurii's step-son, Tanner was attacked & severely injured by Dragons; Yurii is also divorced from Tanner's father. Yurii asked the Territory Alpha for a Healer & that's when he met Lea.

The plot was interesting enough to keep me reading but, really doesn't have a good vs bad plot to make want to read the rest of the series.

Enjoyable

I simply had to finish this book, the plot was smooth and easy. There were in a few writing errors which kept me from giving a 5 star. But the premise was good. Now I will have to buy the clan series. A book that delivered Plot, interest, and most importantly a few hours of getting away.!!! Thanks.

Lea and Yurii

Lea is a bear shifter that's a healer
She is sent to help another clan but being an unmated healer is an issue. Lea doesn't want a mate much less an alpha. Yurii has requested the healer to heal his son who was attacked by dragon shifters. I highly recommend this book.

Healing or Killing Touch

Now this is a good story of a touch can kill. Lea and Yuri are so polar opposites it is a wonder that they don’t go up in flames. Lea is a healer and Yuri is an alpha.

The conflict that will face these two is real interesting.

Pretty good

The story was pretty good. The characters were entertaining. The only thing that keeps me from givibg it a 5 rating is the cliffhanger. Might not really be one but just ends. No real conclusion. Don't know if I'll read the next book.

Fun read

This was a great shifter story. The attitude of the pack was unusual but very well described for the Beta. I gave it a 4 because of several pronoun errors that stalled my reading up.
