डॉ. बशीर बद्र के शेरों में जज्बे और एहसास की भनक है जो उन्हे दूसरे शायरों से जुदा करती है। नए शायरों का जब भी जिक्र हो, बशीर बद्र का नाम और कलाम रोशन जरूर होगा। उनकी शायरी में एक गहराई है और नजाकत भी। वो रोजमर्रा की भी बातें करते हैं और फलसफी गजल भी लिखते हैं।

यहां लिबास की कीमत है आदमी की नहीं
मुझे गिलास बड़े दे, शराब कम कर दे।

दर्दमंद जज्बाती शायर तो हैं ही, उनका अपना एक खूबसूरत लहजा है जिससे उनकी आवाज दूर से पहचानी जाती है। सादे अल्फाजों से अपनी गजलों और शायरी में मोहब्बतों की बातें पिरोने का उनका अपना ही फन है।

कभी तो आसमान से चांद उतरे जाम हो जाए
तुम्हारे नाम की इक खूबसूरत शाम हो जाए
अजब हालात थे यूं दिल का सौदा हो गया आखिर
मोहब्बत की हवेली जिस तरह नीलाम हो जाए
समंदर के सफर में इस तरह आवाज दो हमको
हवाएं तेज हो और कश्तियों में शाम हो जाए
उजाले अपनी यादों के हमारे साथ रहने दो
न जाने किस गली में जिंदगी की शाम हो जाए...

बहुत उम्मीद से ये किताब पढने ली थी. पर कुछ शेर छोड यह पढने लायक नही. पुरी पढने की बजाय आखिरी पन्नों मे चुनिंदा २०० शेर दिये है वही पढना काफी है.

My Review - Bashir Bard, the first time I heard his name was while browsing on social media and finding a clip of actor 'Vijay Raaz' in the movie 'Dedh Ishqiya'. Where he recited one of the famous poems by Bashir Badr -
'यहा लिबास की क़ीमत है आदमी की नहीं
मुझे ग्लास बड़ा दे शराब कम करदे |'
I was awestruck by the use of words and the metaphorical way by which he conveyed the message in a very beautifully woven way. That was the moment and then there is today. Even after reading a complete book filled with his written work, I can't get enough of it. From pain to comic to love, the book I guess portrayed every emotion via the means of the ever-royal, ever-engrossing beauty of Urdu. I would soo love to read more of his work in future as well. His writing stirs the soul of the reader and I hope more and more fall for his words and engross in the beauty of Urdu.

Conclusion - Beautiful, relatable and just can't get enough of it.

अच्छा संग्रह है। कुछ शेर तो मुझे बचपन से याद थे। लेकिन उस संग्रह में ग़ज़लों की संख्या काफी तादाद में है। चाय की चुस्की की तरह मिजाज में घोलते रहिये।
