A Hustler's Tears: A Haitian Love Story

Rate this book
Sexy Haitian and former hustler, Truth is officially out of the game and ready to live a legit life with Emilie Baptiste and their twin sons until a ghost from his past drops one heck of a bombshell on him. Emilie is devastated and is unable to hide it. Her devastation pushes Truth away because he feels that she should put her feelings aside and ride for him. The more Emilie acts out the more it pushes Truth away and the both of them begin to fear that the damage isn't able to be undone.

Samir Adams is happily married and faithful. His only flaw is running the streets, but he has no intention of stopping any time soon. Going for a short visit to North Carolina to visit his God brother, Jules Baptiste, changes Samir's life in more ways than one. On top of being shot, he discovers that his wife, Charity, isn't who he thinks she is, and it rips his heart from his chest. Samir vows to never love again, but once he meets a sexy pharmacist, he has to ask himself if that vow is actually a realistic one.

Crucial and his girl, Kennedi, are settled into their new home in Miami and waiting for the birth of their child. Life is great until a freak accident breaks both of their hearts and changes the course of their relationship. Crucial doesn't know how to handle his grief, and it's not the first time that he pushes Kennedi away, but it could be his last. Fed up with his treatment of her, Kennedi begins to question if they are meant to be.

Truth, Samir, and Crucial play no games in the streets, but their women are their weakness, and they all learn the hard way that hustlers feel pain too.

Oh MANNNNNNNN

This book was a page turner from beginning to end I really enjoyed it. I love this book because all of their situations was different but at some point had the same outcome and you get to experience each couple trials and tribulations with them. I knew what Truth did with Akira was going to come to the light sooner or later. I'm rooting for the Samir and Diamond to get together because I feel like their relationship will go a long way. Charity is just nasty sleeping with her own sister husband and Adam ain't no better. Can't wait to read part 2 to see how this will end.

Great Read

The storyline was well developed. The characters are some old ones and there's new ones. The new characters were introduced in the story and enough information was given to understand their role in the story. I love how the author went from one couple/person and how all of their issues was entwined with each other. What love can make one do. There's betrayal, broken hearts, and love all through this book. Once again this author has what it takes to keep the reader wanting more.

💀💀

Jesus be a fence... Emilie is just to childish for me. She pushed Truth into another womans arms because she couldn't accept his 7 year old child that even he didnt know about... then crucial is just selfish and he is becoming obsessed with Kennedi yes he loves her but he only cares about his feelings... & Charity is just a mess she is mad because she messed up her marriage with Samir and now she done called the cops on him after she vandalized house and cars and done ruined her twin sisters marriage by sleeping with her husband for a year... just wow

Great Read!!!

Great book, loved reading more on Jules, Lyric and the crew. I hope Diamond and Samir give each other a chance. Charity was something else. I hope Emilie doesn't shoot Truth, but he is dead wrong. Akira knows what she is doing. Crucial has lost his girl acting crazy. Can't wait to start on part 2!!!

Like always , you put your soul into every word . Charity didn't know how good she had it . I know Emilie was hurt but did she really do what I think she did . I could go on forever about this book , but you just have to read it to find out why it's so good .

Alright for the most part but all the characters drowns out any luck of a story because you’re being pulled into so many issues. It seems like most of what's going on comes from another story I hope it does but with so much going on I’m kind of over it.

So far, so good in this continuing saga about the various characters and I am enjoying the reading. Hopefully, part two will be just as good.

What a guilty pleasure!

This is a great series to read. There were some grammatical errors as wrong character names in some scenes however you are able to finish the story. I will be reading part 2 to find out what happens next. This authors ability to tell a story is fantastic.

The heffas are trifling

Dammit!!!! This book has me all on the floor. These heffas are the devils playmates. 1st Emilie is so spoiled and childish. I can't believe she wants everything her way right then and there. She is dead wrong for acting that way about Truth's child. It was not like he hid the child and it happened before her so now she just pushed that man into the arms of another woman and doesn't see the error of her ways. Charity is a hoe and that's that on that. Kennedi is hurt and I hope that her and Crucial can work it out. Diamond and Samir need to fall in love and make it work. I can't wait for part 2.

Desperately need par

I enjoyed this from the beginning to the end. Chastity turned out to be a piece of work, cheating on fine ass Samir. He loved that woman with all his heart...hope he fin a love with Diamond. I'm glad Kennedi is making Crucial hurt. Hhim e keeps on messing up. Oh and Truth was dead ass wrong for what he did. I hope she didn't kill him, but make him suffer. Oh and I hope she beat his baby mama's ass.

I'm in love with the way the characters in the stories continue to develop. You never get tired, and the story line just keeps pulling you in. What amazing work.
