Dragon Baby by Milly Taiden

Lily, a tiger shifter and employee of Night and Day Ink, has sworn off relationships after a disastrous marriage to her ex-husband, Louis. However, she deeply yearns to become a mother, a feeling that continually grows as her cousins, mated to the men of Night and Day Ink, start their families. Her more pressing concern though is Thane, one of her bosses, and his continued requests to her, treating her as a personal assistant since his is on emergency leave instead of the woman responsible for buying property for the company.

Thane, a dragon shifter, knows three things with absolute certainty. First, as with all dragon shifters, he prefers his own company and only interacts with humans when it's unavoidable and only for short periods of time. Second, his dislike for humans is of a more personal nature as his sister, Anna, was mated then subsequently abused by her human mate, therefore showing Thane how loving someone can be used against you. Even though his thousandth birthday is fast approaching, and if he doesn't conceive an heir by then he will die, he refuses to connect his life with anyone that way. Third, he is thoroughly enjoying antagonizing Lily. There's just something about her, even though they've only communicated by email and a few phone calls, that catches his attention.

Lily, after receiving the most recent inane request by Thane, decides to take her cousin, Valentina's, advice and deliver the requested information in person, along with a scathing description of what he can do with his demands. Hit and Miss Collection – 4 Stars overall
This is really a hit and miss collection. Some of the stories are fantastic, and others are awful, and then others are just okay. Overall, I would have rated the collection 3 stars, but the good price shifted it up from 3 to 4. I have included ratings and reviews for each story below.

The Wolf Mate's Secret by Bella Love-Wins - 3 Stars
This story was written in first person, which I'm not a huge fan of. Thankfully it was done well enough. This story was decent, but in the end rather boring. All this drama with the secret to having it resolved with barely a discussion before love is thrown around. Ultimately a bit disappointing.

Angel by Holley Trent - 1.5 Stars
I didn't absolutely hate this one, but I really didn't like it either. It was rather confusing and a bit boring. It felt like nothing really happened, and there was absolutely no passion between the MCs. The whole world here was touched upon, but not remotely one I'd want to be in. Not at all impressed with this story.

The Panther's Christmas Surprise by Alyse Zaftig - 1 Star (DNF)
I could not finish this one. The writing itself isn't truly awful, but the author likes really stupid and senseless chapter breaks that are really breaking up the story. She basically ends a chapter just so she can have a new chapter title (Cheeseburgers, New Car, etc.). This means she ends chapters on what seems like a profound thought, but it's not. It's stupid and I find I have absolutely no desire to continue the story. I know it's early, but the author hasn't given a single good reason for me to finish.

The Dragon's Christmas Baby by Anya Nowlan - 4.5 Stars
An enjoyable read.

Enchanting Her Alphas by Auriella Skye - 5 Stars
A wonderful read. The world is vibrant and filled with both magic and wolves in an enchanting combination. My only "beef" is I wish more of the story was from the men's point of view. I feel their journey was a bit neglected, but still an enjoyable read.

Burden by Elianne Adams - 5 Stars
I thoroughly enjoyed this one! It had the feeling of a full novel instead of a "let's make it quick" novella.

Panther in a Pear Tree by Cynthia Fox - 4 Stars
This story was well-written and full of life, but my! The romance and ending was really wham-bam thank you ma'am! I really liked the characters and the story (those boys stole my heart), but I was so confused by the super abrupt ending. The author could have certainly afforded to write a proper epilogue, at the very least. The abruptness made me want to give this 3 stars, but the story itself was so good that I couldn't bring myself to.

Father Shiftmas by Edith Hawke - 3.5 Stars
Like the previous story, the ending is rather abrupt, although there is a kind of epilogue. There was plenty of action and drama, but no time/opportunity for love to bloom. I liked the MCs and I know they'll make a wonderful couple, but there's no option for the reader to witness the love blossom. They meet, have a bit of adventure, and live happily ever after in the space of a night. This had the potential to be a wonderful novella, but the abruptness of the ending makes it fall short.

Cheetahs Never Run by Suki Selbourne - 2 Stars
Where do I start? The story was far too short, and everything was far too neat for the storyline. The entire story was from Tyla's POV, which means there were a lot of unanswered questions, and Quinn was not fleshed out at all. Basically there was all this drama for the build-up, but nothing happened except "We love each other, all's forgiven, so let's live happily ever after!!" Not at all impressed.

Tempt Me Cowbear by Liv Brywood - 3 Stars
Honestly, this could have been a 4 or 5 star story, but I absolutely HATED Donna. She's a high-maintenance princess and I disliked her so much that I had to force myself to finish the story. It got better in the end, which brought my rating up a star. I liked Brody, but with these two it was all about lust and sex, not love.

The Christmas Spirit by Gen Gericault - 5 Resounding Stars!!
I absolutely LOVED this one! I absolutely loved the world and the characters, and the plotline definitely started out different. The story was definitely satisfying on so many levels. So much so I plan to read it again! (It was even better the second time around.)

The Honeybear's Secret Baby by Jacqueline Sweet - 0 Stars (DNF)
Seriously, I could not finish this. I don't want to read a story about little girls who form a pack (gang) and run around stealing from people instead of going legit. They sound like 15-16 year olds who have an "all girl pack," but let's face it - it's a gang. On the flip side, Sebastian lives more in a real world, but apparently one with too many confusing occurrences for me to be interested in this story. When our gang wants to leave someone to die, I had to quit. I refuse to waste any more of my time on this.

Mountain Bear's Baby by J.K. Harper - 2 Stars
Overwrite much?!? This is the perfect example of a story trying waay to hard. It wasn't long, but it felt never-ending. The author could have (and should have) cut pages from this story and it would have only helped. I got bored eventually and started skipping sentences here and there. I didn't feel like I missed a beat. So glad that's over.

An Impawsible Christmas: Four Weddings and a Coronation by J.M.Klaire - 3 Stars
I'm honestly not sure what the point of this story was, considering it's a sequel and it's in a collection. I almost quit reading at first, because why would I want to read more about people when I haven't read the original stories? Ultimately, I did enjoy Leesa's tale enough to give this 3 stars instead of 2. But really, bad form on the author's part to include a sequel in this collection. Even if I had wanted to read the rest of her series, all the backstory provided in this story makes that totally unnecessary.

My Wound to Bear by Olivia Arran - 3 Stars
There was a disconnect with this story, and I struggle to figure out what it is. There seemed to be a lot of history that was glossed over instead of provided outright. I liked Jack well enough, but I found myself not liking Gina. She's had a rough past apparently, but we never really get to know her. She's all over the place, and not in an understandable way. The ending and professions of love were rushed and not at all satisfying.

Deputy Bear by Scarlett Grove - 4 Stars
I enjoyed this one overall. Rather simplistic, but not necessarily in a bad way. It made me curious to learn more about the town and the other couples' stories.

Dragon Baby by Milly Taiden - 4.5 Stars
I liked this one. I appreciated that neither MC was a pushover, but neither seemed forced. Their mating felt pretty natural, although the quickness put a slight damper on things. Enjoyable way to pass the time nonetheless.

Tempt Me Cowbear by Liv Brywood
Brody a cowboy from a local ranch who has promised to bake his sister a birthday cake.
He joined Curvy Bear Ranch for Madison cooking class where he met Donna a rich divorcee that wanted to learn new skills.
Loved that the original characters are included in the spin of series about the guests to the ranch.
Brody and Donna start a friends with benefits relationship but Brody's bear wouldn't leave him alone about her.
Really enjoyed the cooking lessons Madison's class offered especially the old widow Olsen.
Donna joined the class that she accidentally found on the internet that was supposed to be found shifters only. So when she found out Brody was a shifter she completely freaked out and he took a while to convince her that he's a risk worth it.
Great book and HEA. Love this writer and series.

What a fantastic collection of Christmas stories, some short and some full length novels from some of the best authors out there. Most of these books are related to a series by that author but can usually be read as a standalone.
I bought this box set due to the fantastic choice of authors writing in this set but my thanks to the authors who gifted me with their stories beforehand. This is my honest review of this box set.
BELLA LOVE-WINS - THE WOLF MATE'S SECRET
I hate misunderstandings causing problems and I always get annoyed at this type of story.
If people would just talk or yell all this crap wouldn’t happen. If Robin had tackled Landon in the que to see Santa when she saw him with the kids and woman, there would have been no problems but she ran and left instead. I have no time for weak females.
Landon was right when he pulled her up for not asking him. He missed all the fun of her pregnancy because of her cowardice. Will Robin always think the worst?
The ending was also just a bit too silly at the hospital, all I love you.
HOLLEY TRENT - ANGEL - NORSETON WOLVES 9
An okay read and if you follow this series it will make sense. I just ended up confused. Whilst I liked this story the background for these wolves did not sound nice.
ALYSE ZAFTIG - THE PANTHER'S CHRISTMAS SURPRISE
Not my cup of tea at all, a very strange read.
ANYA NOWLAN - THE DRAGON'S CHRISTMAS BABY
I did enjoy this story but I do get cross when the idiot hero is forgiven without a grovel in sight. Finding out you had been lied to and brought somewhere just so you and your sons existence could prove an inheritance claim was a bit low. Whilst I agreed with Marley about taking it slow and learning to trust Daelan once more, Marley still slept with him. Call me old fashioned but trust, love and sex go hand in hand.
Nice to see Donovan and Sabrina again.
AURIELLA SKYE - ENCHANTING HER ALPHAS
Whilst I liked Rynn at first for being strong enough to leave Billy I did not think her jumping into bed with Jax and Hendrix understandable without telling them about being pregnant, especially as they had already said she was their mate. Not good.
I think I have read a book in this series before but do not remember it.
ELIANNE ADAMS - BURDEN
I have read other books by this author.
A very sad story with a good outcome but I am not sure I like this shifter world. Seems especially harsh. I think I prefer more modern times.
CYNTHIA FOX - PANTHER IN A PEAR TREE
I have read other books by this author and enjoyed them.
The story about the boys and Bobby was very entertaining and I just wanted to hug them all. Leah and Bobby together was fun.
Whilst I really enjoyed this story, it would have been just as good without the nasty hunter but I did like what happened to him.
EDITH HAWKES - FATHER SHIFTMAS
This was just an okay read for some reason. Not sure why as it started off good and was a good plot.
SUKI SELBORNE - CHEETAHS NEVER RUN
A short sweet story that was enjoyable to read.
A wedding brings two former lovers back together with a little surprise for one of them.
LIV BRYWOOD - TEMPT ME COWBEAR
One of the highlight books from this author.
I didn't like Donna at first but she grew on me as the story progressed. I think her rotten childhood had a lot to do with her not knowing how to fit in. Her sense of humour once it came through was great and her interaction with Lizzie won me over.
Brody was a super sweetie, who wouldn't love him for caring about his sister as he did. His love of family shone bright.
GEN GÉRICAULT - THE CHRISTMAS SPIRIT
What a wonderful read. I was entranced with this story right from the start. The little cub going off into the woods, the witch saving him, instant mutual attraction, it all flowed so nicely and was a pleasure to read.
JACQUELINE SWEET - THE HONEYBEAR'S SECRET BABY - BEARFIELD 8
Not my favourite book in this series for some reason which is annoying as I was so waiting for Sebastian to have his HEA. A rather fast paced strange story that really does not showcase Sebastian very much even though he is the hero. It is all about Jordan and her pack and how it all spirals out of control when Jordan gets pregnant by Sebastian in a one-night stand. Sebastian has a say in the end with his special shifting abilities helping save the day.
J.K. HARPER - MOUNTAIN BEAR'S BABY
A very good read that brings a troubled bear back home. A year later when he returns from a business trip he finds his mate and the baby son he didn’t know about have also moved to town.
I liked that Shane had already been on the road to balance and peace for a year before Jessica moved to Deep Hollow.
Jessica had a weekend with Maverick (Shane) nearly two years previously and had never forgotten him. She moves to Deep Hollow to raise her son among shifters.
A good Christmas story.
My only question is how did Jessica know Grant was a shifter baby?
JM KLAIRE - AN IMPAWSIBLE CHRISTMAS
Four weddings, a birth and a Coronation plus a story weaved between all these happenings.
A very interesting continuation of the Alpha Hunted series. In this short we have all the girls getting married and Enid being married and crowned Queen with Macs childhood story being woven in between by a mystery lady. A very well written tale.
OLIVIA ARRAN - MY WOUND TO BEAR
Doctor Jack gets his family.
What a lovely enjoyable read that brings a happy ending to one of the abused women form the True Mates series and Doctor Jack, one of the five Everson brothers.
Not too many problems or hassles to be overcome which makes this a nice easy read.
I am really wanting to know what Ralphs demons are.
SCARLETT GROVE - DEPUTY BEAR
One of the better books in Ms Groves world of bears. Not sure what Rollo was playing at but I am glad Knox stood up for his mate and worked to clear her of a murder charge.
MILLY TAIDEN - DRAGON BABY
A fun read that has a good story with two likeable and believable characters.
I really liked Thane and Lily, two strong characters who needed a couple of big pushes from their mutual friends.
I am not a fan of the night and day ink stories, have read some of them but they didn’t suit me. This book revolves around that series.
The writing didn’t flow as well as normal for a Milly Taiden book, not as much humour or as good as her PDA or SASSY MATES series.
This is my honest review of this box set.

Why was Rollo allowing human protests to keep fated mates apart? He knows how difficult it is but he did come through in the end with help from the all the Bear Patrol guys and their mates.
MILLY TAIDEN - DRAGON BABY
A fun read that has a good story with two likeable and believable characters.
I really liked Thane and Lily, two strong characters who needed a couple of big pushes from their mutual friends.
I am not a fan of the night and day ink stories, have read some of them but they didn’t suit me. This book revolves around that series.
The writing didn’t flow as well as normal for a Milly Taiden book, not as much humour or as good as her PDA or SASSY MATES series.

One week cooking class is at the top of the list. Donna was raised in Hollywood with her well known actress mother, so it was always natural for her to be dressed to the nines and make-up on. Coming to this B&B in the middle of nowhere full of snow should be interesting.
Madison is the teacher for the cooking class at the B&B Curvy Bear Ranch her

I love this book you will love it too, yes I definitely recommend this book.

Ms. Elianne Adams has this beautifully written not only did read it straight through to the end but even now while I'm writting this review is think that all the characters match each to a "T" that's a feat there. You can have a plot but if the characters don't match the book hits the box to recycle.
We don't have to worry Ms. Elianne hits it right out of the gate.
Josh can't believe he found his mate who is one of the women rescued from the Mahehkan Pack these women were raped traded off and beaten and abused.
Problem was she was scared to death she was being abused and beaten , can you blame her, now she is choosing to sleep, which she needs to heal. She is so malnourished Josh is afraid not only for her but the baby too. He doesn't touch her but talks to her trying to get her trust, she just has to eat.
Violet is a she wolf that saw her parents murdered and kidnapped from the only home she knew. The Alpha was a twisted wolf who raped and beat her giving her away again and again. Then he gave her to Karack, if she spoke he beat her loving to drag her around by her hair, no clothes, no food beaten and abused after years of this treatment she had given up there was no hope. To far gone when she was rescued she only slept but this man who terrified her always talked to her, cared for her begged her to eat real food not old foul food not even good for dogs.

Omg this is so heart rendering, I had tears in my eyes many times. For a short story Ms. Edith blew me out of the water. This lady characters match perfectly and as she thickened her plot in this book, I was on the edge of a cliff expecting to fall. Wow this lady can write.
Cora was holding Ava her baby outside in the cold just begging the landlord PLEASE DON'T IT'S CHRISTMAS. Hunter that jerk left without a word knowing rent was due weeks ago. In a little town there were no jobs and Christmas is here so all the teenagers got the holiday jobs and she has no money, no job, not even a roof over their heads now. It's snowing she's in deep trouble.
Joseph is a Bear Shifter who enrolled in a program that got him a job, to establish himself in a different community plus it's possible to find his mate. Working nights
as a security guard was good for him he liked it. Nothing ever happens teens stealing that it.
Then on the monitor he see a faint light. Going to the grocery store to check it out he walks in and there's a smell what's up its a fantastic smell what is it. Then a baby cries what's going on.

He leaves his mom, dad, and baby sister Hannah while he leaves the house to follow the spirit into the woods. No one believed him when he told them about seeing the spirit in the woods. Hudson Holloway is a grizzly shifter and Alpha to the Holloway family. Hudson hadn’t been in bed long when his brother’s wife Bonnie calls to see if Beckett was with him. She tells him that his brother Harrison was already out looking for him. Hudson finds his brother and they continue to search for Beckett. Hazel Fortescue is a witch and she brews whiskey. She found a listing on Craigslist about a grizzly cub in need of rescuing. She ditches her Christmas plans and rescues Beckett and after winning his trust takes him home to his sleuth. That is where she meets her mate Hudson Holloway. Hudson never dreamed of being mated to a witch but they must join forces to save Beckett and his baby sister from a very sinister evil. 5 stars

She is almost 40 years old and she isn’t getting any younger. Her cousins had married wolves and now Lily was working for them in the Night and Day Ink. He biggest problem now was some asshole by the name of Thane Dreki thought she was a secretary and at his beck and call. He never came to the office and would email her errands to run like she didn’t have a job to do. Little does Lily know that fate is going to step in and Thane Dreki is going to become a big part of her life. Thane Dreki is a dragon shifter and he is close to a thousand years old. He needs to have a baby to stay alive, and yet he just can’t make himself pick some random woman like his brother Shane suggest he do. He just had not gotten over the death of his sister from a broken heart and he wasn’t giving any woman that power over him. Only thing is Thane didn’t know he would meet his mate after she breaks into his house, strips and goes for a run while he gone. But the one wild night together leaves them both with more than they bargained for. Now Thane must protect his woman and his baby at any cost, and that even meant anyone who threatens their existence. His biggest problem is getting Lily to trust him. Can he win her love? This is a fun new edition to the series. Now that the brothers are mated, the author has introduced new shifters and humans to the story. In this case, you have a recently divorced woman looking for some fun. She doesn't realize she is at a shifter only event. She meets a bear shifter that is looking for a mate that will be willing to take care of his sister who has Down's Syndrome. While there is a strong attraction, it doesn't seem like they are headed in the same direction. Love may just change all their plans. I highly recommend the series.

Father Shiftmas by Edith Hawkes

I enjoyed this sweet romance between a new mom who spends the night in a department store with her newborn when she needs a place for them to stay. Lucky for her, the security guard is a a shifter who wants to help her. He knows she is his mate and wants to keep them both safe. She is pretty broken up about her last relationship so it is not that easy for him to convince her to give another man a try. He is pretty hard to resist with his protective nature and desire to make her happy.

The Dragon's Christmas Baby by Anya Nowlan

I really do enjoy dragon shifter stories. This one features a woman who met the shifter and had a great time with him until he left. When she finds out she is pregnant, there is no way to find him. He contacts her out of the blue and they get a chance to see if the attraction is as strong as they remember and if they can now be a family. He has some secrets he has to share too.

This is another story of a surprise pregnancy between a shifter and a human. It was a great time and they went their separate ways. Somehow, they are brought back together to have a chance to be a family. He has been trying to start a new life and now has to deal with a son and the woman he feels such a strong connection to. She has been struggling and so happy to found a town where her son can be supported by other shifters. As soon as she sees him, she feels the attraction but it is hard for her to believe in a happy ever after. I really liked the characters and the people in the town are a really big part of the story. The people are so welcoming to her and her son.

My Wound to Bear by Olivia Arran

Gina is a survivor of years of abuse. She is now trying to start a new life after her rescue and it is not easy for her. She takes a chance and starts medical training with Jack who is a doctor and bear shifter. Jack has been looking for his mate without success and is shocked when he finds her. He wants to mate Gina right away but he knows she will need time based on her past.

I really loved how sweet John is to Gina and her daughter. He is so protective and loving. Gina is trying so hard to take chances and be a good mom. They have great chemistry and really make a wonderful family.

This story is about a single father who literally had the child dropped at his door recently and is making lots of adjustments. When his sister and her family come by to visit, she brings a friend too who really captures his attention (and his wolf's too). He wasn't looking for a mate but he is not going to let her go now that he has found her. She is less sure and is not an alpha or beta wolf so she hasn't been treated with a lot of respect. She is great with kids and they can form a sweet family if they are willing to take a risk on love. I really liked the characters and his determination to be a great father.

An Impawsible Christmas by JM Klaire

You get four weddings and a birth as well as a new Queen so there is a lot of romance and love and hope for the future in this story.This is a great story for those who have read the Alpha Hunted Series. It gives many of the characters their happily ever after. I enjoyed it.

Enchanting Her Alphas by Auriella Skye

A witch finds her wolf shifter mates and a new chance at life when she flees her old boyfriend. It is a sweet romance and the men are very protective and loving.

1. The Wolf Mate's Secret by Bella Love-Wins - Robin's ski slope encounter with gorgeous playboy, Dr. O'Halloran, turns into a smoldering night with unexpected secrets, and gifts that keep on giving. --- 2* --- Just couldn't feel the connection between H and h. Was kinda rushed at the end.

2. Angel by Holley Trent - Grant Banks' last one-night-stand ended in conception, and now he's an alpha werewolf with a pack to lead, a ranch to run, and a son to raise on his own. He's got his hands full, for sure, but he'd rather stick it out alone than to take a mate who's only interested in him for his status. However, when a holiday visitor from the Norseton pack takes a shine to his son Pete, Grant decides there might be a woman who's just right for him after all. --- 4* --- Sweet story with loveable leads. Although it's part of a series, you can follow along. Nice little twist at the end.

3. The Panther's Christmas Surprise by Alyse Zaftig - Amani isn't sure what she saw that night, but it definitely couldn't have been a lethal panther who morphed into a naked man...could it? Amani has accidentally uncovered a dark secret that just might get her killed. --- 1* --- This author clearly is not for me, her stories are just too half-baked for my taste. Chapter headings that become redundant in the first sentence, characters act like nobody in the real world would ever act, absolutely no connection between main leads.

4. The Dragon's Christmas Baby by Anya Nowlan - A dragon will do anything for his fortune. Even more so if the fortune is a curvy, sassy woman and a baby he didn't even know he had... ---3*---

5. Enchanting Her Alphas by Auriella Skye- When a water witch running from her past meets two sexy wolf shifters, it leads to a steamy holiday encounter and a cute, little revelation. ---3*---

6. Burden by Elianne Adams - Beaten, imprisoned, and even starved, Violet has reason to be afraid of any male. But with a baby on the way, she has to decide whether she will live in fear, or risk her body and heart to claim her true mate. ---4*--- Loved the characters, makes me want to read more from this series.

7. Panther in a Pear Tree by Cynthia Fox -When a hunter showers the mountains of Mistletoe Hollow with bullets, he sends panther shifter Leah straight into the arms of her human crush. Is it time to abandon her shifters-only mating policy? ---2*--- No romance between H and h, it's friends to lovers. Side characters steal the show.

8. Father Shiftmas by Edith Hawkes -Security guard Joseph Stone likes his routine, but one snowy night an intruder changes everything when he's left holding a crying baby. ---4*--- Very likeable characters, even though it's a very short storie, they feel real and "whole". Plot is good and realistic (if shifters existed ;) ).

9. Cheetahs Never Run by Suki Selborne -It's not easy being a single mom, or a witch with no magical skills. When her cheetah shifter ex Quinn shows up in Rocky Falls for the holidays, Tyla is forced to share her biggest secret. ---2*---Couldn't feel the emotion between the main characters. Couldn't really connect with the H at all, as story is just from her POV and there's a lot of inner monologue. There was a misunderstanding, but the reader doesn't get to experience "The Talk", where everything is really solved and hopes, dreams, wishes are expressed. There's an explanation how the misunderstanding came about, but it's kind of in passing and they get interrupted. I wished for more serious dialogue between h and H.

10. Tempt Me Cowbear by Liv Brywood -Recently divorced, Donna is ready to finally live her own life. But when she meets cowboy Brody at Curvy Bear Ranch, she has to decide if she's ready to give up her new freedom to take a chance on the love of a lifetime. ---2*--- Female lead started as a horrible character, redeemed herself later one, but not enough in my eyes. Just this fact made me like the story less than others in this anthology.

11. The Christmas Spirit by Gen Géricault- Whiskey-brewing witch Hazel Fortescue and alpha grizzly Hudson Holloway come together to save his nephew from a Christmas spirit. ---4*--- Totally enjoy this story. It wasn't focused on the blossoming relationship, but both accepted from the beginning that they were mates, so there was time for a story around the nephew, a Woman in White and a lamia. This made the story more interesting and different.

12. The Honybear's Secret Baby by Jacqueline Sweet - Outlaw shifter Jordan and by-the-book Sebastian had shared only one night together, but that night had left her with a secret and a desperate need to provide for the life growing inside her. When Sebastian catches her mid-heist, will he turn her in or be the Alpha she needs him to be? ---2*--- And in this story it doesn't work at all. Too many side characters, the "heist"-plot completely takes over the reunion of the leads, so you don't get to know their connection. It definitely feels like there should (is?) a story before and after.

13. Mountain Bear's Baby by J.K. Harper -Bear shifter Shane Walker left his brawling past behind. Then Jessie shows up with his baby son. Can he tame his wild bear and be the man his sudden family needs? ---3 1/2*--- Sweet little story. Would have liked a little bit more serious talking between main characters.

14. An Impawsible Christmas by JM Klaire -Mix four shifter weddings, a dragon coronation, a stranger fleeing for her life, a found baby, and an ultimatum--mate or die--all together for a very interesting Christmas at the castle. ---2*--- This was a little bit strange. As the description says, you have five big celebrations, so in the first chapter you get the names of twelve people (four brides, five grooms as one relationship is a triage, two children and the stranger)! That was just plain confusing. But the weddings and the coronation are not the focus of this story. Instead an up-till-then strange woman tells the brides how she met her mate. So you have two stories in one - in a novella! ^^ The stranger's tale is divided among the five events so as a reader you jump back and forth between now and then. With the result that at least I couldn't connect really with any of the characters.

15. My Wound to Bear by Olivia Arran - Recovering from a horrifying and painful past, Gina's future is uncertain, until she meets a certain sexy bear shifter. Is he the Christmas miracle she needs to heal her broken soul...and her heart?---4*---A really sweet story. It's obviously part of a series, but that's not a drawback at all. The hints about other couples actually makes me want to read their stories as well.

16. Deputy Bear by Scarlett Grove - Harper Brown left her cheating ex and moved to Fate Mountain just before Christmas. When she finds her new boss dead, she becomes the prime suspect! Good thing she has Deputy Bear Knox Carter to keep her safe and solve the case.---3*---

Amani is on the run from unknown men trying to capture her when a panther attacks the men. The panther turns out to be Gerard, and her mate. Gerard doe not inform her of this and whisks her away from trouble, only to disappear himself. The story jumps a bit.

The Dragon's Christmas baby by Anya Nowlan
Marley has a weekend with Daelon. He leaves her without a word or a way to contact him. She ends up pregnant, only to discover as she gives birth to a dragonlet. Daelon knows Marley is his mate, but the thought scares him and he walks away. Trying to collect his part of the gold is difficult when he needs his mate and heir.

Enchanting Her Alphas by Auriella Skye
Rynn is a witch with no where left to turn. She needs to escape her increasingly abuse, alcoholic, and warlock boyfriend. She calls her friend Zara in Kala West for assistance. Brothers and wolf shifters, Hendrix and Jax, enjoy their lives as second and third to the Alpha in Kala West. The only thing missing is their mate. Trouble is approaching Kala West and they need to be extra vigilant, but there is time for one last night on the town.

Harper has not had the easiest day. Her dear grandfather passed away and she arrives home to find her boyfriend of four years in bed with her best friend. She is now homeless. She attempts to call in to work but her boss is not understanding. She moves to her grandfather's summer cabin, hoping to start her life over. Things continue on a roller coaster. Knox wants nothing more than to find his fated mate but years of searching prove fruitless until Harper arrives in town.

Thane meets Lily and knows she is his mate but he is having difficulties making the decision. As well, his youngest brother wants him dead.

Violet is a she wolf that saw her parents murdered and kidnapped from the only home she knew. The Alpha was a twisted wolf who raped and beat her giving her away again and again. Then he gave her to Karack, if she spoke he beat her loving to drag her around by her hair, no clothes, no food beaten and abused after years of this treatment she had given up there was no hope. To far gone when she was rescued she only slept but this man who terrified her always talked to her, cared for her begged her to eat real food not old foul food not even good for dogs.
Josh can't believe he found his mate who is one of the women rescued from the Mahehkan Pack these women were raped traded off and beaten and abused.
Problem was she was scared to death she was being abused and beaten , can you blame her, now she is choosing to sleep, which she needs to heal. She is so malnourished Josh is afraid not only for her but the baby too. He doesn't touch her but talks to her trying to get her trust, she just has to eat. Elianne Adams pulls you into this world so easily that you feel the pain that Josh is going through watching his mate suffer, just a great story

Little did he realize that the Beautiful curvey woman he sees when he first arrives is a human oh and his mate, She is completely wrong for him in all ways because she doesnt seem to be the type to like the simpler things in life. Live Brywood has brought us back to the ranch with this wonderful story like all the others in this series it is amazing!

This is a steamy read with hot details, adults only. It is the finish of some wonderful characters, the what happened, the little last minute party. If I didn't know the characters and the story it would of not been good. You get the story of how Lizza, found a bear cub in the woods when she was running for her life. How she wondered into a werewolf den and found safety and love. So you have a human and a bear cub a werewolf pack, a lion shifter, a dragon, and a firecat!

Whoohoo we get another of the Everson Brothers stories in this one, it is about Jack who is a doctor. He is the middle son of 5 in the Everson
family, 2 of his brothers have found their mates 2 have not yet, Jack is out at the Coldstone Pack house checking on a patient (one of the humans that they had rescued) when he meets Gina, He knows immediately that she is his one true mate, Gina is damaged, she cannot let anyone touch her
she hides, she also carries a secret, Her daughter Lizzie is such a happy wonderful child who even though has gone through so much in her very short life, laughs and plays like she has never known sorrow. this story is very touching, I LOVED how Jack took the news of Gina's secret. made me cry

Hudson and Harrison Holloway were searching for days for Beckett who disappeared. They didn't realize they were going to be a fight for there Life. Better yet a SHOCKING discovery for Hudson.
Gen just has a way with her writing that pulls you in, it flows like poetry, how she can bring so much into a short story like this is beyond me, but I have to say once you start reading this you wont put it down until you finish the story, it will leave you gasping for breath!

I have read Anya Nowlans book in this anthology and will update this review once i have read the rest.

I loved this novella, a very compelling read, i really loved this and i am so glad that i recieved this book and voluntarily reviewed this. It is a brilliant story that i read in a few hours as i couldnt stop reading it.

One of my favourite things about this book is that it's about a reconnection. Most books about shifters i have read are about the initial connection and meeting for the first time so it was a really nice change to have it from a different point of view. I really enjoyed this and although it was a novella, it didnt feel that way, it wasnt rushed and had a wealth of details ans information. The way that Anya Nowlan writes this story pulls you into their world and with her descriptions and details it makes you feel that you know them.

I adored Marley’s character. She is extremely passionate and has a huge heart, her first focus is and will always be her son, i really enjoyed the interaction between her and her son, she is such a loving and protective mother, doing everything she can for the dragonling. Throughout this book you see her hopes and dreams and also a very practical side. I also really enjoyed reading Daelan (loved this name), he is quite a complex dragon, trying to run from his fate and destiny but soon finds out that is impossible.

A brilliant story with an amazing plotline and addictive characters. A must read story that i would recommend to everyone. Loved it!!!!

Angel by Holley Trent - Just started this one and I already like it. Be back with more later. I just finished this and I loved it. I loved it so much that I added all of the Afotama and Norseton series to my TBR list.

The Panther's Christmas Surprise by Alyse Zaftig - Ok! So, I hate giving less than stellar reviews but, this one was just too short. The story concept and characters were amazing but, there just wasn't enough to get invested in them. If this was part of a series and could possibly be made into a longer story it would be a phenomenal story but, as is I think it's just lacking some stuff. Over all it's a good short read just doesn't have enough to it. If anyone knows if it's part of a series I'd love to know so I could check out the rest.

The Christmas Spirit by Gen Gericault
Marshmallows, bear cubs, witches, and evil creatures. This short Christmas tale has it all. This short standalone story that features the Holloway bear sleuth, Hudson in particular, and whiskey brewing, wildcat, witch Hazel Fortescue as they get to know each other and protect his sleuth. Hudson’s nephew Beckett wanders off one night following a lady in white but runs into something sinister and gets lost. Hazel finds Beckett as a bear cub and returns him to his sleuth and finds her beloved in Hudson. This story is cute and sweet but also has adventure and danger. It is a lovely quick read. (Bear Cub Cutie)

Mountain Bear’s Baby by J.K. Harper
Jessie has moved to Deep Hollow for her son Grant, so that he can grow up around bear shifters like himself. She doesn’t know where his father Maverick is and doesn’t expect to every see him again, but at a holiday cookie exchange with her friend Livy, she meets Shane (Shane Maverick Walker) and Shane realizes that he has a son and a mate in Jessie and Grant. Neither Jessie nor Shane had a great childhood, so they both have hang-ups about relationships but they come together and realize that they can be the family that they always wished they had. This was a nice, short story by J.K. Harper and it was enjoyable. (Cub Claws)

My Wound to Bear by Olivia Arran
Jack Everson is a doctor and a bear shifter who is at the Smithrock and Colestone pack to check on the people rescued from a deranged shifter who was building an army of children and the health of the pack. Gina was one of the human women rescued and who is still recovering from the horrors that she suffered. When Jack first meets Gina, he knows that she is his true mate, but he also knows that because of what she suffered he will have to go slow and not rush her. As Gina learns to overcome and accept her past and learn to live again, Jack learns that Gina is stronger than even she realizes. This is a wonderful story that is a standalone but that ties into Olivia Arran’s True Mates and Everson Brothers series. (Bear Doc)

Two hot shifters and one feisty witch make this a sexy, sizzling hot, suspenseful must read. Fantastic story!

Violet was held captive and abused by Karak, and then rescued by Joss a Komoro wolf shifter and Violet's mate. Violet is afraid to trust Joss, she is pregnant and plans on raising her child. Joss will eventually earn Violet's trust and convince her that he will raise her child as his own. Karnak is determined to take Violet back so Joss will have to fight to keep the woman he loves. Fantastic book with beautifully written characters, some suspense and violence. This is a sizzling hot romance with a double happily ever after.

Panthers In A Pear Tree by Cynthia Fox
A handsome human ranger, four foster kids, a sexy female panther shifter, and a cold blooded murderer. This is sexy and sweet with an exciting plot, a fantastic story. I loved it!

Father Shiftmas by Edith Hawkes
Cora is kicked out of her house with her infant daughter shortly before Christmas. She is trying to get to her aunt's house and shows away in a store. She is discovered by the security guard. Joseph finds a baby in the restroom of the store and discovers Cora walking around. Fantastic characters, well written plot, and a happily ever after. A Sexy and sweet must read.

Cheetahs Never Run by Suki Selborne
Tyla fell in love with Quinn in high school. Four years later her best friend is getting married, the last person she wants to see is Quinn. Tyla had her reasons for not telling Quinn about his daughter, and she is surprised at his reaction. This is a sexy and sweet, happily ever after holiday romance. Fantastic story.

Tempt Me Cowbear by Liv Brywood
Donna is recently divorced and plans to do many things she didn't have a chance to do before and during her unhappy marriage. The first thing she did was sign up for cooking classes at the Curvy Bear Ranch. Brody, a gorgeous bear shifter, and falling in love wasn't a part of her plans. Donna and Brody are sexy, sweet and are perfect for each other, this is a wonderful Christmas romance and a must read.

Review For: Father Shiftmas by Edith Hawkes - 5-Stars
Hunter has disappeared, leaving Cora and her 4-month old baby, Ava, at the mercy of Mr. Buckley; he is throwing her out 3-days before Christmas. Cora has a plan; against her better judgment, she pawns her father’s watch and heads out to a store a few towns over, intending to seek shelter for the night, before travelling on the next day. Joseph, a bear shifter, works as a security guard on nightshift; content, he didn’t need any crazy excitement in his life, but now there is an intruder in the store. Joseph is ready for action, but the last thing he expects to hear is the sound of a crying baby. Cora wonders if she imagines the bizarre pull she feels when she sees Joseph standing there with Ava in his arms; like he would do anything to protect her. It is the most unconventional of meetings, but Cora senses there is something alluring about Joseph; Hunter has never made her feel this way. Meanwhile, Hunter escapes the local sheriff, heads into the store, and comes face-to-face with Cora. There is a heated argument and a situation to be remedied, but it doesn’t go the way everyone expects it to! An excellent shifter story that was a pleasure to read.

Daelan has a portioned hoard set aside for him in the mountains, but the magic that protects it would only call to him when he became worthy; it would be when he came of age, found a mate and had his first heir, so his cousin Donovan wants to know where Daelan’s mate is, before allowing him access to his hoard. Daelan knew Marley was his mate the first time he saw her, but he didn’t accept it. Marley now has a 9-month old baby son, Deon. Daelan had left Marley’s life as abruptly as he had appeared in it. Although it was only a weekend fling for him, what struck Marley the most was the connection they had; the dragonstone around her neck is the only thing that reminds her of Daelan, other than Deon, so what a surprise she has when Daelan contacts her and asks her to meet him in Shifters Grove. After an idyllic week together, Marley finds out the real truth for her visit, shattering her illusions; had the past week been merely a charade? Marley’s station manager and boss, Hank, pays an unexpected visit to Shifters Grove, giving Marley the chance to escape from Daelan, even if she may have given Hank the wrong impression: going after a dragon’s mate had not been the wisest life choice Hank had ever made. To a dragon there is nothing more painful than disappointing one’s mate; Daelan has not only felt his own regret and sorrow, but Marley’s as well. But has Marley really given Daelan a chance to explain? Daelan knows he is the one in the wrong and now it is time for words over actions. An excellent, well-written story that I enjoyed reading very much and which came together quite explicitly. The characters were quite endearing and brought the story to life.

I never get tired of the Noreston Wolves who live among the Afótama witches.

This story centers around an omega who left her pack and traveled with her mother to the Noreston territory. This story will take place around the holidays and some true holiday magic will happen.

This was a cute story of love and acceptance and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Angel has never truly belonged can she find a forever home? I know this makes her sound like a puppy but she is not.

Ms. Nowlan's Bundle of Joy is not just a Baby or toddler, he is a Dragon. Deon is a strong little 9 month old who can tell when his parents are upset, and he gets excited on airplane rides. Turbulence, makes mom pale, makes Deon say more.
In this story, Marley accepts an invitation on Sassy Date website to a message called "Only for the Brave" to come to Shifter Grove for two weeks. Take A Chance. From Someone You Know. She knows it's from Daelan. Could she open her heart again? How about Deon? Would he understand if things didn't work out? Intrigued yet?
Daelan has a secret that could jeopardize Marley's belief in him? How about now, Intrigued? Don't pass this one by. I volunteered to review this ARC book using entirely my own opinion

Mountain Bear's Baby
Jessica and Livy are best friends. They have been talking about the reasons why she should move to Livy's hometown of Deep Hollow. Jessica's son Grant is half bear and half human and is old enough for his first shift. He is around a year old. It would be helpful if he was around other male bears to help him through the beginning times. Jessica agreed, so they moved.
They were both happy along with Livy. Livy is looking at the face of Shane and Jessica. Then she figures it out before the others on the stoop. Jessica was in awe. Shane then heard the cooing and giggling frong Jessica. She told Shane, Grant was his son, and he has your eyes.
Shane ran off. He went into the forrest as a breakthrough saying a word.
How long will he stay a bear? When or if he comes back, will he be a good father and mate ? When will Grant make his first turn back to his family? You will have to be a page turner to find out. I volunteered to review the book using entirely my own opinion.
